This is the first and last time I will shop at The Brick. I purchased a bed room set and returned the mattress.
Then, I purchased another mattress of greater value thinking it was a new purchase. At no time, was I told, you cannot return the second mattress. I waited three weeks for the delivery of this new mattress. It was the same firmness of the one I had returned. I returned this mattress to the warehouse where it was accepted. I called the store, for a refund and was told this is a reselect. I cannot return it. There are other issues as well. I am still waiting for a replacement chest of drawers. The one delivered was damaged.
Your service people need training in empathy. Better yet, hire people who like their jobs and are not afraid to use their name. Most companies train their people not to say, we don't, you can't, I won't or not happening. I am sure I am not the only person in Canada, currently out $1, 400.00 or more.
It is ok for The Brick to continually extend your delivery date. (keeping your money) Heaven forbid you return something that is not within the 48 hours, the five days or the seven days depending on the product and the rules in place for that day. A lawyer needs to review the contract before you leave the store. Or, your sales people need to go over every single return clause with every client.
My experience has been ongoing since April 2021. I will be contacting CBC Marketplace, Go Public. I know and I understand a company needs to have return guidelines.
Most large companies are realistic, have common sense, courtesy and compassion for their clients. Yours, are the most convoluted I have come across in all my years of being a consumer.
Clients have spent their hard-earned money in one of your stores. I recently relocated from a city to a small town. I can tell you I am appalled and mystified that a store can stay in business, today, with this evident lack of customer service. I will be telling every person I meet about my horrible experience with The Brick.
I can not think of one time in my life, where have I experienced this low level of service. Your store, does not make any effort to engage or have a discussion to try and come to a mutual satisfactory outcome for you and your client.
I went across the street and purchased a new mattress and it was delivered the following day. It is exactly what I needed and what I thought I was ordering from The Brick, twice. I use the term"I needed" as I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and a mattress can make the difference of body movement the next day or a sore stiff and aching body.
