I have been working at this timhortons for a month as a baker / night worker first off in the ad on indeed which is where I saw the job and applied it didn’t say that the baker would be by thier self from 11-4:30 am with the timhortons open serving customers and baking for morning … I have talked to staff at this location there has been many bakers for this particular position before me that left within a months or so time, I regret apply to this timhortons, thier management is poor they don’t think it’s busy at night but it is but instantly at 4:30 they start with 2-3 people working
There was one time where I was scheduled to work and they changed the schedule without telling me I went to work and another baker came in an hour later I was told to go home because i’m not working which was unfair I tried calling the on site manager she didn’t respond to me until 2 am with a text message saying I forgot to tell you that we changed the schedule I was never apologized for the inconvience
What made me quit this job was one night I was by myself as usual and it was so busy there was a crowd of teenagers ordering everything they could think of and I had a line up of cars in drive thru that were upset and inpatient I was trying my best to get everyone’s orders and happy one particular gentlemen in drive thru was angry yelling at me how long he was waiting in line and demanded to speak to the manager I gave her number the manger called me upset for giving her number to him and saying he was yelling at her I told her I was being yelled at all night
I highly recommend not to apply for this job the pay is not worth the stress and emotional strain on your body and mind I leave my shift everyday tired and weak
They demand to much on the person doing this position there really should be 2 ppl at least at night doing this position or at least have it closed for a few hours so the baker can bake and get things ready with ease
Desired outcome: For future workers that apply for this position at this timhortons to know what there saying yes to and agreeing to because I did not know before I said yes
