I was just made aware that Easyhome Hawkesbury made an error on my account. They double charged me on a TV and sound bar since December 14th 2020. The TV and sound bar on my account had the same serial number. The error was made aware to me when I called to get an update on the remaining balance owing on my account. The error was confirmed by the store manager Francis Chartrand. This error was uncommon and the store clerks told me they have never seen something like this before. I met with this manager on November 11 2021 which advised that they will speak to there supervisor (name of this supervisor was never given), but I was entitled to a refund. As per the store manager, I was told multiple times that I will be getting a refund by the end of that business day. We even made plans for me to return to the store to complete this refund via the interact machine. The manager called me back and stated that I was not getting the refund, but that they were going to close my account. This included removing the remaining payments of the other items I have with Easyhome, such as my couch. However, this is not what I wish the outcome to be. I wish to be reimbursed the overpayments, totaling to more than 1350$, and continue my monthly payments with Easyhome until the contract is done. I was not given an explanation as to why this was not possible. Though I understand that this option provided is better in the long run for me, the overpayment with Easyhome has made mine and my family's financial situation very stressful. The reimbursement would allow me to breath better financially. In addition, by having me continue with the Easyhome payments until the end of my contract, will also allow Easyhome to accumulate there interest rate on my remaining items. My desired resolution for this complaint is to be reimbursed the overpayment and continue my monthly payments with Easyhome until the end of my contract.
