I understand this a serious time, but I received the most terrible experience at Dollarama.
As a regular customer of this location, today I had the most horrific and horrible experience, a new employee (female, in her 40's 50's black eye liner) at this location felt the need to berate and humiliate me by yelling in the store due to an issue with her being asked to please wrap my glass items she already put in a bag unwrapped. She immediately let out a loud puff and sigh...which I felt was not necessary and my right as customer to receive good customer service was not met. This issue all started at the begining of my transaction "She asked me if I would like a bag, I said yes and asked for 3 reusable bags, by my surprise she already punched in a .5cent bag, she immediately started having an attitude and said she would need a manager to void, which I was ok with. Then because she was visibly already upset, she started bagging and put my glass items unwrapped, I then asked her to please wrap my items, if they break I will not be able to return it to the store, she took the items out and started wrapping my stuff aggressively.
I asked her what is the issue and then the attitude went further, she started raising her voice and just handed my bags half packed and I was puzzled because I advised I her have more items to purchase, she continued with the attitude and I told her there is no need, I have been polite the whole time and that I knew she was new, because in 2-3years coming to this location I have never had any issue's, she started asking do you want to see my manager, I did not felt the need at the moment because the situation could have changed if she did not continue the attitude, she kept being persistent do you want to see my manager, I then asked to see the manager of my own leisure, the the manager arrived to check out, she kept abruptly interrupting the manager and my self and said that "I gave her an attitude" which I did not, the manager could not hear the issue as I explained it and asked her several times to please stop, but she did not, (the proof was in the pudding, by her interruption). I told the cashier her behaviour was not good customer service and that she should be aware customer are almost always right, she then replied I'm the employee and I said but I have not yelled, abused, swear at all and I have been very fare the whole time with no attitude but she did not care if I was the customer or not.
The manager apologized but she kept on going, (I did not felt the manager was the one to apologize, and as manager she had no control of the situation) the manager eventually walked away and left me there to continue being attacked and I said to the cashier I will be speaking to the other manager, then she started yelling while I was leaving "so wasn't that the manager you spoke to" "she said your not the manager" which I did not. I advised the manager at the exit, I will be speaking with the owner as I know who he is, the cashier yelled there is no owner, after her yelling, the customers started looking at me and laughing. I felt very belittled, embarrassed, ashamed and defamation of character. I did not at all receive any form of good customer service.
I have also forward this email to cp24, ESA compliance of law and regulations, BBB, Business rating online etc… my lawyer will also be contacting your HR team and head office. Your team has 24 hrs to be in contact.
I WILL NEVER SHOP AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN: 4721 HWY 7 UNIT 1.
