Unfortunately, I have been extremely disappointed in the service and care we have received so far, to the point that I cancelled my child’s bookings last week and a parent friend and I looked after each other’s children instead.
The first time I dropped them to before school care was so completely underwhelming and lack lustre. A few old cardboard boxes and bits of Lego to entertain and engage the children. The complete opposite to the “ enriching experiences to develop children’s confidence, curiosity and resilience”
as advertised on their website.
My main concern is the safety of the children. Especially as there is the huge responsibility of taking the children on a bus to and from the PP site. When I picked my child up on Friday 2nd February I was concerned to witness the father of another child walk in and simply take them, without being approached by a member of staff to see who he was or sign his child out. I know for a fact that this was the first time he had picked his child up and therefore the staff would have had no idea who he was. What is especially concerning is that I have since discovered similar safety issues where a child has actually left the school grounds, of another Perth school, without staff realising.
I need to us before and after school care so I am able to work. But I am so concerned for the safety and well-being of my child under their care.
Desired outcome: Safety issues addressed and parents to be advised in person how Camp Australia can be trusted with the care of our children.
