Canglow Windows & Doors I ordered doors from Canglow Windows & Doors Inc

I ordered doors from Canglow Windows & Doors Inc. It took them an extra 3 months beyond the original installation date. They didn't communicate with me about any updates on the doors. They never returned my calls. It was so unprofessional! After the installation, the stucco around my door frames was completely destroyed. I had to spend an additional $1800 on repairs. They claimed it couldn't be avoided and didn't offer any assistance or compensation for the repairs.

Rude *** staff Canglow sale Rep came out and did a quote for replacement of 9 windows. Once he gave me the price got very persistent about me signing a contract on the spot. I told him his price was high and i would be going with one of my previous quotes. He got belligerent cussing and saying he drove 3 hours to come do this quote . Called the office to speak to the manager. No manager in the office so I left a message low and behold the sales rep called me back swearing at me. WOW I would hate to see how this company handles issues with existing customers

Writing this review in hopes that I will be able to save some people from using this company for new windows. We got 6 windows replaced by this company. It would take too much time to discuss all the issues we've had with them. So I will in point form mention the issues.

1. Great customer service - UNTIL they receive your money, also known as the deposit. Out of the multiple interactions I had to initiate, only once did I receive acceptable customer service. After that, your money is their only concern, who needs happy customers after all, right?

2. Rude staff, who do not follow through with what they promise. I worked with several representatives, including one who was acting as manager and was by far the worst I've ever been treated by anyone from whom I was purchasing a service. I was threatened, interrupted, and none of my concerns were addressed, other than with a $250 discount. This was after I had to prompt them to do their jobs or even just communicate. Just an FYI, we spent around $8,000 on these 6 windows, so a $250 discount felt insignificant when I was left feeling uncared for, disrespected, and completely dissatisfied and drained from each conversation. How could you not when your issues are never resolved, but you just continue to express your frustration and get taken around in circles.

3. Excuses, excuses, excuses, always someone else's fault; never theirs. Their warehouse is bad, their warehouse shut down from COVID, oh wait, and their office. Isn't this something you should be communicating with your customers? Especially those who are spending a significant amount of money for new items?

4. NOTHING is on time. We waited for final measurements that took me multiple emails, voicemails, and reaching out to individuals to get someone to come and do this to get our windows even ordered. We were quoted mid-September for installation, but we got the windows installed on Thursday, October 28, so only a month and a half late. I was addressed rudely by multiple staff, had to beg for updates from all staff. The only member of the staff who actually seemed concerned about my issues was the receptionist; she was always polite and genuinely concerned. The installers were quick once they arrived, BUT not on time, they were early, which I already had a big guess this would happen due to all my past bad experiences. So luckily I had my husband take the full day off to ensure someone would be around.

In the end, they simply do not care about their customers, no respect for them, no accountability for their staff's poor actions, only concern is getting your money. Please take your time and research a company that will be genuinely concerned for you as their customer, and be happy to do all they can for you during this process.

Waiting 17 weeks for windows, called several times to find out what was happening. One person said Covid another said stock issue. Called me on a Tuesday that they could install the next day. Then they called back to cancel as there where only 6 of the 10 windows in. I had taken the day off of work so I wouldn’t let them cancel Now three weeks later my remaining windows are in and no one can tell me when they will get installed. Sometime next week. I will have to take another day off of work. They lack communication. Asked to speak to management waiting for that call now for three weeks.

By far one of the worst experiences we have ever had with the company. After a friendly meeting and sales pitch in July, name withheld, took our deposit for our $10,000 doors. Due to elderly parents in the home, we were concerned about the doors being installed during cold weather months and, name withheld , assured us the doors would be installed by the end of October. From then on out, the company's service was appalling. We were told measurements would be taken within a week. No one contacted us so we contacted the office and they booked us the following day, July 29th. We were informed that our doors would be ordered within 24 hours of final measurement. Mid September we spoke to ,name withheld, and she told us there was no information on our order yet and they would get back to us. In the middle of October we contacted the company. After numerous unanswered calls to,name withheld ,and the office, we were left hanging. October 14th we received an extremely rude email from, name withheld,where he told us that our measurements had taken place in the third week of August, therefore our doors would not be installed until the end of November. We corrected ,name withheld, and told him our final measurements were done July 29th, not the end of August. Not one of our calls or messages ,to name withheld, were ever answered. Instead of a phone call we received a rude message from ,name withheld ,saying that there was nothing that can be done and that our phone calls to him and the office were not helpful. He had no problem taking our $3000 deposit , however he would not answer a single call. Everyone at the office including, name withheld ,gave us a different reason why our doors were delayed. The pandemic, one door was ready one wasn't, wrong ordering dates etc. Everyone at Canglow glass gave us a different excuse and no one knew what the next person was doing. We were left frustrated and emotionally drained after dealing with their lack of professionalism. We asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, and we were told that none would be available and probably not until the beginning of the next year. November 26 our doors were finally installed. The only thing we can say about this company is that the installers, name withheld, were exceptional. There are a lot of door companies and we unfortunately chose this one. Please be careful and do your homework before choosing this company . They lied to us, had no regard for us as customers and once they received our deposit were treated like garbage. Be careful where you place your trust.

We went to Canglow for a cost estimate on replasing the windows in our house. We really liked the attitude of the manager, who explained all the details and helped us choose the right windows and financing options for us. We ordered 12 windows and 2 exit doors at once and were completely satisfied with our choice of company. I recommend Canglow to all my friends.

Canglow Windows & Doors I never thought that picking a front door would be so hard

I never thought that picking a front door would be so hard. There are so many choices out there and lots of companies with iffy quality. And how can you really tell from just a picture in a catalog? I went to the Canglow showroom. They showed me every little detail on their doors. That's how you know it's good quality! From what I gather, they make their own doors. All I can say is, good job!

Firstly, they messaged me for my phone number, even though I had already called them. Quite disorganized. A guy came out to measure and give me an estimate, and he said he would send me the quote. But he didn't email me or call me. Instead, I got a message saying they "tried" to call me, even though they already had my number. I called twice and it was busy... so the phones aren't well-manned. They also said they sent the information I had requested, but I didn't receive any phone call or email. He has all my contact details, but he chose not to use them. How can anyone trust a company like this?

Canglow Windows & Doors Very disorganised

Very disorganised. I needed to ask for written communication for them to actually do something for me. Promises were never followed through with. Poor communication - they delayed the installation, then cancelled another 4 times on me. Once they didn't even bother telling me they were cancelling - they just didn't show up. Installation issues - they put a hole through the frame so it went through the moulding inside the glass. Their fix was to cut the hole and caulk over it. Doesn't look very professional. Product - I'm happy with the actual windows. It's just the installer I have issues with. Won't call them again for next batch of windows.

Canglow windows and doors put in doors and windows at our place but forgot to give me an Energy Star sticker for my door. I called them many times and they told me that their doors don't get a sticker because they weren't tested in the factory. But before I bought the doors and windows from them, they said their doors and windows are Energy Star Certified and will make my home greener. They even advertise it in public and online. These people lie just to make sales, even though their products aren't qualified. I keep calling them many times but they still don't help me. I feel like a ping pong ball going back and forth between the sales rep and the main office. I don't recommend this company at all because of this incident, unless they give me the stickers I need for my doors. PLEASE BE AWARE.

Canglow Windows & Doors We ordered our windows from Canglow Windows & Doors Inc in April, and they were supposed to be installed in August

We ordered our windows from Canglow Windows & Doors Inc in April, and they were supposed to be installed in August. However, they were finally installed in Calgary in September. Unfortunately, we encountered an issue with one of the screens. It doesn't fit properly and there's even a tear in it. We've been given multiple promises that it will be replaced, but each time it's delayed. They said it would be replaced "next week", then "two weeks", then by the end of October, then on November 10, and finally by the end of November. However, it's now December 6 and we haven't received any updates from them. When we call, they just promise to look into it and say "you are on the list".

Additionally, the Sales Manager, Alex, told us that information regarding any rebate would be provided or it might be deducted at the source. However, they didn't provide any information, and when we asked how to claim it, they didn't give us any guidance.

If we could rate the installers separately, they would receive a high rating. However, overall, at this point, even giving them one star is up for negotiation.

I'm writing this review to warn people about using Canglow Windows & Doors Inc for new windows. We had 6 windows replaced by them and had many issues. Here are the problems we faced:

1. Customer service was great until they received our money. After that, they didn't care about us anymore. Who needs happy customers, right?
2. The staff was rude and didn't do what they promised. I worked with some people named ***, ***, ***, and maybe ***? The acting manager was the worst. They threatened me, interrupted me, and didn't address my concerns. The only thing they offered was a $250 discount, which I had to ask for. I spent around $8000 on these windows, but I felt uncared for and disrespected.
3. They always made excuses and blamed others. Their warehouse and office had issues because of COVID, but they never communicated this to us. Shouldn't they inform their customers who are spending a lot of money?
4. Nothing was on time. I had to send multiple emails and voicemails to get someone to come and take final measurements. Canglow Windows & Doors I got two windows installed from Canglow Windows & Doors Inc and they're not so great

I got two windows installed from Canglow Windows & Doors Inc and they're not so great. There's air leaking through them and they're really drafty. I sent some pictures to the service manager like three weeks ago, but he hasn't called me back. Also, they messed up the order and put the super LowE window in the wrong bedroom. It was supposed to be in the South bedroom, but it ended up in the North bedroom. These windows are custom sizes for my old house from 1935, so they can't just be switched around because of the size differences. Now I'm gonna have a hard time keeping the South window cool.

Canglow windows & doors took my money for window install. They didn't do it right (the second part of the contract was handwritten). They broke the window I wanted, which took 8 months to come. I told them not to order again 'cause I don't wanna wait another 8 months. They said okay. But now they won't give my money back and they ordered another window. I also got a contract with no signature. I paid $381, just want it back. I talked to a bunch of managers, they both hung up on me without fixing it. They said they'll send me to collections for the other %50 and keep the window when it shows up.

I called Canglow Windows & Doors Inc and got hung up on multiple times while being put on hold. I've lived in this house for over 4 years and recently had the old windows replaced with new energy-efficient ones. Before the replacement, I never had any issues with black mold forming around the window frames or where the caulking was used. However, since Canglow replaced the windows, I am extremely dissatisfied with their work ethics and how they present themselves as a company. Business should prioritize quality over quantity, but what I received in return for what I paid is simply disappointing. The new windows have not lived up to my expectations and have caused more problems than before.

Complaint sent to Canglow on April 8, 2022:

Canglow Windows and Doors,

I started dealing with Canglow in May through your representative, ***. I ordered two windows and a deck door for upstairs, and two new windows for the kitchen downstairs (invoices ***). I paid around $4900 for these items. Since then, I have kept a record of all the events and conversations between your company and me, including wrong items and late delivery. Your staff has blamed poor installation and missing insulation for the issues. I last emailed *** in December , and I haven't heard back from your company since she mentioned opening another service request. Unfortunately, after two winters with these windows (see photos below), it is clear that your products are not performing well, despite your warranties and guarantees. The photos undeniably show that your products have not improved. I believe that Canglow should want to satisfy every customer, not just to protect your reputation. I have been patient and hopeful since May , hoping to get properly installed and functioning products. However, I have now lost my patience and cannot tolerate another winter with ice and pools of water from your windows. Therefore, I am requesting either replacement or a refund. I expect your response and a resolution to my problem. I will wait until April 22, 2022, before seeking help from a consumer protection agency, ComplaintsBoard.com, or seeking further outside advice.

Canglow Windows & Doors I bought windows from Canglow Windows & Doors Inc a month ago for $17,000 CAD

I bought windows from Canglow Windows & Doors Inc a month ago for $17,000 CAD. When they were installed, I realized that the window I ordered didn't match what was described in the manual or what the representative had explained to me. I specifically wanted to be able to see through the new glass doors and let sunlight in. The representative assured me that the selected door from the manual would meet my needs, but when the doors arrived, they didn't allow any light to come in, whether from inside or outside. I told the installers not to proceed with the installation, but they had already cut out the wall. They advised me to contact the sales representative. I called the representative, and he said he would come and find a solution to meet my request. He came two days later and realized that the doors were not properly installed and couldn't close properly. He acknowledged that there had been a misunderstanding in the order and offered to change the windows at a lower cost since it was his mistake. I then suggested to him that the company should have samples for customers to see and buy from, as relying solely on the manual doesn't provide clarity about the glass. I can't live with the obscured view the doors create; it makes me feel trapped. When I contacted the company, they were rude and disrespectful, refusing to help me. They told me to call the representative, but when I called him, he referred me back to the company. I have proof of communication with the representative if needed. I need assistance with this issue as it has caused a lot of stress and dissatisfaction for my family. Please advise me further. Thank you.

Canglow Windows & Doors I got Canglow Windows and Doors to replace my basement windows

I got Canglow Windows and Doors to replace my basement windows. Before signing the contract, I asked them if their windows qualify for the Canada greener homes rebate. They assured me that they are aware of the program and their windows qualify. The sales representative, Irina, even made a note on my contract about the rebate. I paid $3664.50 for the windows and an additional $800 for the assessments needed to qualify for the rebate. The stickers on the windows must remain intact for the assessor to confirm eligibility. However, I suspect that Canglow deceived me. The installers removed the stickers, which makes me think they are not aware of the program. I asked for the stickers back, and they retrieved them from the garbage. When I noticed that the energy rating was missing, I contacted the company. They promised to contact the manufacturer for the necessary information, but it's now August, and despite numerous phone calls, I still have no information or stickers. The employees have been giving me conflicting responses. The salesperson initially claimed she could get the information, but later said it was impossible. The receptionist mentioned that the salesperson called her and said she could get the information but didn't want to put in the effort. I believe Canglow lied to me from the start. They had no knowledge of the program, and now I'm not only out $300 per window (including the Hera program) and $1500 in rebates, but also the $800 I spent on assessments.
