I purchased a glass front mini refrigerator on March 7th, 2024 for $166.90 that was described in the listing as "New". It was in the original box but taped up with a lot of extra tape. When I got it home and unpacked it, the inside glass door was not only broken out, but the pieces of the door weren't even in the packaging. It had clearly been broken out previously and repackaged as "New". I understand that once it leaves the building - too bad for the buyer. But it would have been next to impossible to take that box apart at the warehouse by myself to discover that broken door. I feel like the seller misrepresented the item. It should have been listed as "Open Box"and/or "As Is" - definitely not as "New". I make a binding agreement with the Seller/Capital City Online Auction to show up and purchase their item when I win the bid. The seller should have to hold up their end of the agreement as well. I have purchased many items on the Capital City site and have had positive outcomes and recommended the site to others. Now I'm not so sure.
Claimed loss: $166.90
Desired outcome: Please refund. I also think that it is important that the Seller should be held accountable for accurately representing the item that they are selling.
