Mixed Reviews Reflecting Real Customer Experiences
When it comes to CarCover, the reviews are a mixed bag. Some customers have praised the customer service, shopping experience, and lifetime warranty, while others have expressed dissatisfaction with the fit and quality of the covers. It's clear that there have been instances where the covers did not meet expectations, leading to frustration and disappointment. However, there are also positive experiences where customers found the covers to be well-made and effective in protecting their vehicles. It's essential to weigh both the positive and negative feedback before making a decision to ensure you get the right cover for your needs.
Got the gold series cover for my 350z
Got the gold series cover for my 350z. The only thing I don't like about it are the storm straps that have plastic clips on them. These will damage your paint job when you put your cover on and they are far too light to pass under the vehicle, making them a pain in the rear to work with. I just cut them off, cover works perfectly now. I also replaced the flimsy lock wire that was sent with the cover with a more heavy duty wire, less likely to be cut and used a stronger lock. The cover itself seems quite nice. We will see how it does during rain etc... I'm told by carcover.com it will eventually be waterproof, it is absorbent out of the bag.
Very easy to find and placing order was a breeze
Very easy to find and placing order was a breeze. I am happy with the product and great service. The only area that we needed help with it's how each of the parts of the cover is properly applied. I did find a YouTube video that showed some of the steps on how to place the cover but it was incomplete. The black belts that are attached to the cover had no instructions on how to use them, and the white string, we still don't know why it was included in the package. I think a new video with full instructions from start to finish would be most helpful. Other than that, this is an excellent product. Please inform me if you make a new video, I would like to watch it.

The experience was easy, typed in the year, make, and
The experience was easy, typed in the year, make, and model of the vehicle that was to be covered, and the website gave a part that appeared to be the one that was needed. The cover that was purchased was a Gold seal, because it would be outside in the Arizona sun for a bit. After arrival, it took about 15 minutes to install. The cross straps that connect together under the vehicle have held up well in the Arizona winds. Although not as windy as some other cites, it has blown quite bad since installing the cover. The cover has not moved at all. The vehicle will be going inside a building soon, and the plan is to keep the cover on the vehicle while refurbishing the vehicle. I would highly recommend carcover.com to anyone seeking to cover a vehicle that is stored outside.
Highly Recommended!
The value of a company is determined by many things. One being the actual quality of the product, and another being the way the company stands behind it's customers after the sale. I had purchased a cover from CarCover.com about 3 years ago. Sacramento weather has taken its toll on it. I didn't save my receipt and that made me worry, but CarCover.com kept my records in their system! A customer service representative assisted in finding the order I placed a couple years ago, gave me the original order number and provided the email to send pictures to. Shortly there after my warranty request was approved and my new cover is on it's way! CarCover.com is very easy to deal with and they stand behind their product! THANK YOU CarCover.com! The only place I can recommend buying a car cover from!
I've just received my Gold Shield 5L car cover for
I've just received my Gold Shield 5L car cover for my 1994 Buick Roadmaster and my first impression is a good one. The material used is similar to another car cover that I have, only the Gold Shield 5L seems to be even better-made. I know quality workmanship when I see it and I'm confident that this cover will do the job of protecting my Buick well. A simple, yet noteworthy difference I've found with this cover are the instructions; I actually *readthem and found them to be quite useful because figuring out how to put on and take off this XL cover could otherwise be a challenge due to its size. The instructions have now made it EASY to put on and take off, with no fumbling to figure out which end is the front end. The cover fits my Buick perfectly and feels like it was custom made for my car.
Simple process to purchase, price seemed reasonable
Simple process to purchase, price seemed reasonable. I would only suggest that you do two thing's; first, Identify the front and back more clearly, the only way to see which end was front or back was a small tag the size of a tee-shirt tag, I looked but did not see it as I first tried to put the cover on, as something didn't look well in the fit I found the small "front" tag in the back. Not a big deal but would have been a better experience to see the marking first. (My solution was to write Front in larger easy to see print.) The second thing that would have made this a perfect experience is if the cover arrived folded to unravel front to back. This would have made it much easier to initially use and check the fit. I now have it stowed in this fashion. The product is thicker than what the dealer offers which will definitely help protect from the falling small debris that we often experience now with a bit harsher weather. Great Product!
All 5 star reviews?
I usually have an issue with a business that has all 5-star reviews, simply because 75% of our population is typically unhappy with life in general much less happy with anything they spend money on.
IE: You can't please all the people all the time. Even God makes mistakes. He gave women the ability to speak.
Anyhow, This company has unbelievably achieved the unachievable.
I purchased a Gold Sheild 5L cover in April of 2020 and had an issue with it. A couple of emails from me (a grumpy old man and member of the 75% club) resolved the issue. WOW! A no-hassle replacement is on it's way... hopefully, I guess I'll just wait and see if it arrives... and see if I can create a negative in which to knock this 5-star thing down a couple of stars.
Great job CarCover, people, whoever you are and where ever you are.
The above is an unbiased review written by me, the King of Cynics.
Note to self >>>> Keep an eye on this business, they can't be this good and have to be hiding something.
I hope to receive the opportunity to update my ratings
I hope to receive the opportunity to update my ratings once the product is out to the test.
I own a 2016 Mustang Ecoboost.
I have never paid more than $40 for a car cover, so this was a big leap. I received a 15% discount on top of the already discounted price. I bought the 5L protection cover and I immediately noticed the thickness of the cover. The inside is very soft.
I was impressed with the fact that I had to stretch the cover slightly to fit my car, in addition to the pockets for the mirrors. The cover goes all the way down to the bottom of my tires which I am also impressed with. So the fit is perfect. This is the second car cover I have had with straps in the front and back, but they seem to me thick and of good quality.
Additionally I received a lock to secure the cover which is a nice addition but based on the excellent fit you could go without it. I did receive the lock for free and will use it because why not.
Lastly I received a storage bag which is pretty big and will use it when I am back to driving my car.
I will be taking the cover off weekly, so hopefully it holds up and I expect it to compared to my last car cover.
CarCover: False Shipping Guarantee, Terrible Customer Service, and Lack of Accountability
I recently had a rather unpleasant experience with CarCover, and feel compelled to share my experience with others. As an avid car enthusiast, I was delighted to find this company and their range of high-quality car covers, which I believed would make the perfect anniversary gift for my spouse. However, my excitement was short-lived, as I quickly discovered that their supposed "shipping guarantee" was nothing more than a false promise.
According to their website, my order was supposed to ship on the same day that I placed it, and arrive within three days via FedEx. However, more than 10 days later, I still had not received my merchandise despite being given two different FedEx tracking numbers. My attempts to contact the company via email went unanswered, and when I finally managed to get through to a customer service representative named Jim, the experience was less than satisfactory.
Jim was rude and dismissive on the phone, even admitting that they had never shipped my car cover despite their emails claiming otherwise. When I questioned him about this and asked if I should dispute the charge with my credit card company, he merely responded with a snide remark about me not having asked for a refund. He talked over me and didn't seem to care about the fact that they had essentially taken my money without providing the promised product or service.
In addition to poor customer service, the company also seems to lack a sense of responsibility or accountability. They don't seem to care whether or not they stay in business, and are more interested in taking your money than providing quality products and services. Overall, I would strongly advise anyone considering doing business with CarCover to look elsewhere. Save yourself the hassle and disappointment, and find a company that values their customers and provides the level of service that they promise.
Disappointing CarCover Experience: Generic, ill-fitting product not worth the money
Upon purchasing a car cover from CarCover (carcover.com), I must say that I am utterly disappointed. As a proud owner of a Kia Stinger GTS, I expected a custom fit for my vehicle, but unfortunately, the car cover falls way short of my expectations. Despite being stretched tight, there are portions of my car’s back and sides that remain exposed, making it look as if I threw a gray tarp or bag over my vehicle. Moreover, there are no pockets for the mirrors or roof shark fin antenna, leaving them vulnerable and unprotected.
I decided to upgrade from my previous auto zone car cover, which cost me $50, but I can honestly say that the latter fits better than the one I received from CarCover. Honestly, it’s a waste of money, and I’m contemplating throwing it in the trash. The car cover isn’t even designed for the shape of my car; hence, it’s of no use to me. The question remains, why did they even ask for the year, make, and model of my car if they were going to produce a generic ‘bag’?
If you are searching for a car cover that fits your car and is made specifically for it, then I advise you to look elsewhere. I have no problems paying for a quality product, but this car cover isn't worth the money I paid for it. If your aim is to wrap your car in a shapeless bag that may or may not fit, then the auto zone cheapie may be an option worth exploring. However, if you value your vehicle and want a cover that fits perfectly, then avoid CarCover.com at all costs.
Review: CarCover - Waterproof and Snug Fit Car Cover for Police Interceptor with Push Bar and Spot Lights
As a proud owner of a police interceptor with push bar and spot lights, I was hesitant to purchase a car cover that would fit my beloved vehicle. Thankfully, the customer service at CarCover (carcover.com) was extremely helpful in guiding me towards the proper size. Upon receiving the cover, I was overjoyed to see that it fit like a glove. It almost completely covers my tires and fits snugly around my car.
One of my main concerns was whether or not the cover would be able to withstand heavy rain and stay true to its claim of being waterproof. After four straight days of rain, with standing water on my hood cover at times due to the push bar creating a swale, I checked underneath several times and was amazed to find that not a drop of water had gotten through. The cover is performing beyond my expectations, especially considering the reasonable price point.
The quality of this cover is apparent in every aspect. The elastic fits tightly while the two straps are sturdy and easy to cinch up. I have no worries about the cover coming off in strong winds. Additionally, the cover is not as heavy as some other covers on the market, making it easy to roll out and put on.
The only modification I will be making is to place a soft adhesive backing to the plastic locking grommet to prevent it from hitting my paint during windstorms. This is a small issue that can easily be fixed. The excess width of my spotlights has raised the cover just a few inches, which could have been a problem if not for the simple fix.
If you're unsure about whether or not to purchase a car cover from CarCover, I would highly recommend taking the plunge. After researching other options for months, I am glad I chose this company. The peace of mind that comes with knowing my car is protected from the elements is priceless.
CarCover.com: Beware of Their Shady Business Practices
When I was searching for a reliable car cover, I came across a website that had fantastic reviews. However, upon clicking the link, I landed on CarCover.com by mistake but unknowingly ordered two car covers. Upon realizing this error, I contacted them immediately via email to cancel the order. To my relief, I received a prompt response from them, confirming the cancellation and stating that I would receive a full refund within 5-10 days. I even notified my bank to make sure there were no issues.
To my dismay, I received the car covers six days later. When I reached out to CarCover regarding this, they shockingly responded that they did not cancel the order, and even though I did not want them now, they suggested that I might need them later. They went ahead and offered me a paltry 20% discount to keep the car covers, which I declined. Instead of accepting my request to return the unwanted items, the company tried to persuade me to keep them by increasing the discount. Unsurprisingly, this shady behavior is not an isolated incident, and several online reviews have reported, similar issues.
Their customer support is terrible, and their business dealings raise suspicion. I can only assume that any positive reviews they have are fictitious and posted by CarCover themselves. The company's unethical business practices prompted me to inform the Attorney General's office of their behavior. Beware of CarCover.com, and avoid doing business with them at all costs.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
I am thoroughly pleased with my new roof! John, General Manager, made the process very smooth. John explained the process of roof removal and replacement process answering all of my questions. John is available via phone and text message; he maintains excellent communication and let me know what was happening in every step of the process. Very professional and always demonstrated excellence in customer service. The roofing staff were very professional, respectful, and meticulous in their work. I highly recommend Turnkey Roofing for your next roof replacement/repair.
Gold Shield 5L Car Cover: A Review of Protection and Fit
I recently purchased a car cover from CarCover.com and was overall satisfied with the customer service. I was pleased with the prompt response to my inquiry, receiving a helpful answer within a minute. Delivery of my car cover, the Gold Shield 5L, was swift and as expected. However, upon first inspection, I was slightly disappointed with the thickness of the cover and the lining. I had hoped for a thicker and more protective fabric that would prevent fine scratches to the paint on my 2013 Corvette 60th anniversary in mirror black. Nonetheless, the cover boasted superior protection from UV rays and the elements, and after speaking to many satisfied customers who had purchased the same cover, my expectations were still high.
Fit-wise, I found that the cover could have been a better custom fit, but I am hopeful that as time passes and the cover “relaxes”, the wrinkles will lessen, and the fit will improve. Additionally, I was surprised by the weight of the cover considering the advertised five-layered protection. However, I am willing to give it the benefit of the doubt and wait to see its protective quality.
In comparison to other car covers I have had in the past, I have found that some have fitted better and had a softer lining while also having better UV reflective abilities on the outer shell. But they were also heavier and more expensive. If this cover does perform as advertised, then it is definitely worth the price and will be my go-to choice for car covers. I will continue to observe the performance of the Gold Shield 5L cover over the coming months, and my star ratings reflect my initial honest opinions upon receiving and trying it out.
Disappointing and frustrating experience with CarCover.com: Do not recommend
As a consumer, I recently purchased a cover for my hearse from CarCover.com, a decision that ultimately led to a disappointing and frustrating experience. The website claimed that their covers would fit cars with precision, even leaving some extra room, and as such, I measured my hearse carefully before ordering the largest available cover. Unfortunately, upon receiving the product, I found it to be too small for my hearse.
When I contacted customer service regarding the issue, the representative I spoke with was dismissive and unhelpful, insisting that their covers were "perfect." Following this unproductive conversation, I was instructed to email the company and provide pictures of the cover so they could replace it, a solution I declined as I wanted a full refund, as stated on their website.
However, when I attempted to pursue a full refund, I discovered that I would be required to pay for return shipping and purchase insurance, which would end up being a substantial portion of the cost of the cover itself. My attempts to discuss alternative options with customer service were fruitless, as they refused to allow me to exchange the cover for a larger size and did not have a manager available to speak with me.
Despite my attempts to rectify the situation with CarCover.com, I was left with no choice but to purchase a cheaper solution from Walmart, as I could not afford to buy another expensive cover. After my experience, I can confidently say that CarCover.com is a disappointment and a far cry from a reputable company. I do not recommend doing business with them to anyone.
False Advertising and Poor Quality: My Experience with CarCover.com's Gold Shield Cover
I recently decided to purchase an outdoor cover for my car and heard about CarCover.com. After seeing their website and reading about their Gold Shield cover, I was convinced that it was a good investment for the protection of my vehicle. The price was a bit steep at $139.99, but I thought it was worth paying for a high-quality product that would last a long time. To sweeten the deal, they offered a "Lifetime Warranty" on their cover!
However, my experience with this product was not what I expected. After only two years of intermittent outdoor use, the cover started to disintegrate and tear. I was extremely disappointed, as I had believed that this cover would last much longer. I decided to make a warranty claim, but was shocked to hear that I had to pay $30 for shipping to get a replacement cover. I was also disheartened to see that their "Lifetime Warranty" was not truly lifetime, but rather a limited warranty that only allowed for three replacements. Not only that, but they were able to determine the shipping costs at their own discretion.
In total, I realized that I would have to pay $90 in shipping costs for three replacements over six years. This was clearly false advertising, and I was extremely upset. On top of this, I came to discover that the Gold Shield cover was made of the same poor quality fabric as a $39.99 cover I had purchased from another company that lasted only two years as well. I was outraged that I had paid so much more for essentially the same product.
It became clear that CarCover.com was selling a cheap, low-quality cover at an excessively high price just to mask their costs for replacement covers. When I asked for a full refund, I was refused. I strongly urge anyone looking to purchase a car cover not to waste their money on CarCover.com's products. Their marketing tactics are misleading, and it is clear that they are not interested in providing customers with high-quality products. Do not buy from these people!
Disappointed with CarCover.com's Warranty and Customer Service
I purchased two car covers from CarCover.com for over $360 back in August 2020. Given the pandemic, our SUVs were stationary for the most part, with the covers rarely removed. However, after six months, my husband came home to find one of the covers had split along the seam. To my disappointment, it was a defect in the product. So, I filed a warranty claim, which was eventually approved. They asked me to pay around $40 for a new cover, which was an additional cost I wasn't expecting, given the product is claimed to have a ten-year warranty. After calling customer service to find out more, they revealed that the warranty is prorated. I should have dug deeper into the warranty instead of just assuming the product was so good that the company would offer a ten-year warranty on it. My bad! However, paying for a defective product that fell apart within six months was ridiculous. As I researched online, I saw that I was not alone. The company's customer service needs improvement. I refuse to pay to replace their faulty merchandise continually. I would instead purchase from a different company and never use their product again. In conclusion, if you're looking for a good quality car cover, I wouldn't recommend CarCover.com. There are many better options available online, and it's essential to do your research before making a purchase.
False Advertising: CarCover.com's Platinum Shield Car Cover is Not Waterproof
If you're in the market for a waterproof car cover, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. I recently purchased a Platinum Shield Car Cover from CarCover.com for my 1962 Chevy Biscayne wagon, which I inherited from my father last year. Since the vehicle has some water leakage issues with the windows, I needed a cover that would be completely waterproof.
While the Platinum Shield Car Cover from CarCover.com advertised top-level protection against all the elements, including rain, snow, wind, UV / Sun rays, and more, nowhere on their website did it mention that the cover was only water-resistant and not waterproof. I made the unfortunate mistake of assuming that a product that offered top-level protection would be completely waterproof.
After purchasing the cover and putting it on my car, it didn't rain during the 30-day money-back period. However, when it did finally rain fairly hard, I was extremely disappointed to find out that my car was just as wet as if it had no cover at all. To make matters worse, my windows with the leakage problems had leaked water all over the interior and carpet, damaging the partially restored car and the nice paint job.
When I contacted their customer support email to complain about the defective cover, I was informed that the cover was not defective and that it was only water-resistant, not waterproof. Despite the false advertising, I was past the 30-day return window and could not return it for a refund. This experience left me out nearly $200 for a product that did not meet my expectations.
If you're looking for a car cover that is completely waterproof, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. Not only was the product falsely advertised, but their customer service was also unsatisfactory. Save yourself the time, money, and headache and avoid CarCover.com.
Carcover.com Review: Poor Quality, Hidden Fees, and Unprofessional Customer Service
I would strongly advise against using CARCOVER.COM for anyone in need of a durable car cover. Initially, I purchased their most expensive cover, which comes with a lifetime warranty to protect my Mercedes S550. However, after just six months of use, the cover began to disintegrate and tear in some areas, which was a huge disappointment. I contacted the company, and they requested pictures, which I promptly provided as it seemed reasonable.
The company then told me I would have to pay $30 to receive a replacement cover. When I asked if this cover would be of better quality than the first one, the representative said it would be and that they ask for pictures so they can improve the product. I then asked what would happen if this new cover fell apart after six months, and the representative told me I could get a refund by sending an email. However, when I spoke to a supervisor about this, they gave me completely different answers.
The supervisor informed me that the new cover would be no different from the one I already had and that I would not be eligible for a refund even if the new cover failed again. I was confused because the representative had told me I could request a refund by email, but the supervisor said that the answer would always be no. It was clear to me that the representative had misled me so that I would pay the fee and accept the new cover.
During the conversation, the supervisor repeatedly interrupted me and said that my comments were not "rebuttable," which was extremely unprofessional. He also said that the cover was made for the sun, but this was contradicted by my experience. This lack of consistency in the company's responses made it clear to me that I would not be able to rely on their product or customer service in the future.
In fact, it became apparent to me that the cover was not robust enough to handle the sun in my location, as it had failed after just six months of use. I would have to replace it at least twice a year or buy a better quality cover elsewhere, which defeated the purpose of investing in a more expensive cover in the first place.
Moreover, nowhere on the carcover.com website does it state that there is a $30 fee for warranty replacements, which came as a surprise to me. This fee should be clearly stated to customers before purchase. Also, customer service should never be rude, interrupt, or intentionally mislead clients. The lack of transparency and poor customer service is unacceptable, and I would advise anyone in need of a reliable car cover to look elsewhere.

Defective and their warranty policy is not what you think
I bought two covers for our SUVs back in mid-August 2020 for over $360. We are in in Southern California and honestly during the pandemic neither cover has been removed more than maybe once a week. Three days ago my husband ran an errand and when he came home the entire cover split along the seam. Clearly a defect with the product. I filed a warranty claim and then waiting. Finally I went on chat and was told my claim had been approved and that I needed to pay around $40 to have a new cover sent. I called to find out why the hell, on something that claims to have a ten year warranty, I have to pay for a subpar product. I was told I should have looked at the Warranty which is a prorated warranty. You know, you're right. I should have dug deeper into the warranty vs. just seeing the words "10 year guaranty" and assuming that meant the product was so good they would offer a 10 year warranty on it. My bad. Never again. But since this fell apart (literally) after six months I was told I had to partially pay for the replacement and of course they wouldn't ship it to me free. I went onto the BBB website and learned immediately I'm not alone. Basically, I need to pay to replace their product that was defective. If these things keep falling apart (which I'm guessing they will) then I'm in a vicious cycle of having to keep paying to replace. I have NEVER dealt with a company that deals with defective merchandise so terribly. Fine if the thing was six years old I get it, but under 8 months is ridiculous. Seriously, buy your car cover from any other company on the internet. This one needs to work on their customer service game. There are too many other options online to waste a single dollar on this site. Ultimately I walked away and decided I'd rather buy a new one from another company versus ever use their product again.
Don't buy one expecting it to be waterproof!
Don't buy one expecting it to be waterproof!"I have a 1962 Chevy Biscayne wagon I inherited from my father last year and I needed a cover for it since it will no longer be garaged. One very important qualities I need in a car cover is for it to be waterproof since the vehicle has some water leakage issues with the windows (after all, the car is 57 years old).
I found what I thought would be the perfect cover for my car at Carcovers.com and purchased the Platinum Shield Car Cover since they advertise it as "provide top level protection against all the elements including rain, snow, wind, UV / Sun rays, and more." Nowhere did I see anything about it only being "water resistant" and not waterproof!
So I bought the cover and put it on my car thinking it would be waterproof since they said it "provide top level protection against all the elements including rain, snow, wind, UV / Sun rays, and more."... big mistake.
It didn't happen to rain during the 30 day money back period and when it finally did, it rained fairly hard and when I took a peek under the cover my car was just as wet as if it had no cover at all! And my windows with the leakage problems had leaked water all over the interior and carpet. What a mess! And the car has been partially restored and has a nice paint job... not anymore! I'll now need to get it detailed again to get rid of all the water spots on it!
I contacted their customer support email to complain about the defective cover and was told that the cover is NOT waterproof, only water RESISTANT and it therefore is not defective! Not only that, but because I am now past the 30 day return window I can't return it for a refund in what I consider a defect, or at least deceptive advertising!
To say that a product "provide top level protection against all the elements including rain, snow, wind, UV / Sun rays, and more" to me means waterPROOF, not water RESISTANT.
Now I'm out nearly $200 because I can't return it, and if I want to keep the car dry I'll have to put a tarp over it with the cover on. Not exactly what I was expecting for my money!
I also wouldn't expect much out of this company even if there was a warranty issue based on how I've been treated.
My advice if you are looking for a car cover that is waterproof, look elsewhere!"
Unscrupulous Sales Tactics - Buyer Beware! A Review of CarCover.com's Gold Shield 5L Truck Cover
My spouse and I purchased the Gold Shield 5L truck cover from CarCover.com, which we were excited to receive as it was designed to fit our specific model. However, when we received the item, we were disappointed to see that it did not seem to have the "inner layer of soft fleece lining" that was advertised. The only instance of fleece lining was in the cover's storage bag. Regrettably, our initial disappointment was just the beginning of our troubles with CarCover.
Much to our dismay, the cover ripped almost immediately along two seams - one near the cab, and the other on a rear corner. Although the seller offered us a replacement cover after we provided proof of the damage, we had to shell out an additional $30 to them for shipping. Upon receipt of the replacement cover, we found that it had no fleece lining either, despite what the website had claimed. At this point, we requested a refund.
CarCover's response to our refund query was as disheartening as the aforementioned issues. They presented us with two options: either we could send the item back for a full refund or keep it and only receive a 40% refund. After careful consideration and a bit of frustration, we opted to return the item and receive a full refund. We once again had to pay the $30 shipping fee to send it back.
Ultimately, we ended up only receiving $30 back as a refund, because we didn't pay for the replacement cover itself, but rather just paid the shipping fee. We had already paid $189.99 plus shipping for the original cover, but the original cover was outside of the 30-day window for returns.
In conclusion, CarCover's sales tactics and policies seem to be quite unscrupulous - buyer beware! While our experience was unfortunate, we hope that prospective buyers can learn from it.

CarCover.com Review: A Complete Disaster, Holes In 7 Months, Limited Warranty, and High Shipping Costs. Don't Buy
When I first purchased the CarCover from carcover.com, I had high hopes for this product. After all, I wanted to protect my truck's finish and keep it in pristine condition for as long as possible. Unfortunately, my experience with this cover turned out to be a complete disaster.
After only 7 months of use, I noticed that the CarCover had started to develop large holes that were over 2" across. This was far from ideal and I was incredibly disappointed. What was worse, these holes seemed to cause the CarCover to deteriorate even faster, reducing it to little pellets that only made the situation worse. When I took the cover off my vehicle, the pellets would stick to everything and it became apparent that it was no use trying to save the cover.
As I began to research this product to try and find a solution, I discovered that many other customers had experienced the same issues with their CarCovers. I read countless reviews that complained about the lifetime warranty, which was limited to just 3 replacements, and the high shipping costs that the buyer had to pay. After paying for shipping on my own replacement, I too realized just how much this could add up.
What was confusing to me was that I had a similar cover material for my barbecue that had lasted for over 3 years without any issues or signs of wear. It was frustrating to think that carcover.com couldn't make a product that matched up to my simple barbecue cover.
Ultimately, my biggest regret was not having read the reviews before I made my initial purchase. Had I known what I do now, I would have gone with a different product that had better reviews and a proven track record of success. As it stands, I would not recommend the CarCover from carcover.com to anybody looking to protect their vehicle.
Poorly fitting car cover and unsatisfactory customer service from carcover.com
My experience with carcover.com was not a good one. While they claimed to have done all the work of identifying the correct cover for my car, the cover I received did not fit well at all. It was baggy, pouchy, and even dragged on the ground.
I contacted their customer service team in hopes of either exchanging the cover for a better fitting one or getting a refund. In return, they offered me a 40% discount on the cover to keep it. Frustrated with the idea of spending more money on costly shipping and receiving another ill-fitting cover, I accepted their offer.
However, just four months later, the top of the cover started to fall apart and was no longer usable. I contacted carcover.com and sent them photos of the damage, but they refused to address the issue, citing the 40% discount as a condition. However, no conditions were mentioned at the time of the offer, and the discount was as much to save the company money on shipping as it was to save me money on returning the poorly fitting cover.
Overall, I found carcover.com to have poor customer service, unreliable fit, poor quality materials, and a deceptive warranty practice. As a result, I cannot recommend this company to anyone in need of a car cover.
CarCover.com Fails to Protect: Severe Paint Damage & Unacceptable Customer Service
My wife and I recently purchased the top-rated car cover from CarCover.com and were excited to try it out. However, being hesitant about car covers, it took me a week to finally put it on our car - a decision I now regret. Despite thoroughly cleaning and drying our car prior to using the cover, we experienced some issues when it unexpectedly rained on two separate occasions. After removing the cover, we were shocked and sickened to find that our vehicle's paint had been severely damaged. White marks, some with the fabric pattern, were left on the hood and whitish areas had drained down from the top of the cab. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to remove these marks. We contacted CarCover.com to voice our concerns and the response we received was less than satisfactory - they claimed they were not responsible for damages of this nature and refused to cover the cost of any repairs. We were extremely disappointed in this response as we trusted the quality of their product and had hoped for a more positive resolution. In summary, we urge anyone who values the paint on their car to steer clear of this particular brand of car cover.
CarCover.com Review: Disappointing Product and Frustrating Refund Process
I recently purchased a cover for my 5th wheel from CarCover.com and my experience was less than ideal. When my order arrived, I quickly realized that the cover was much too big for my vehicle. Immediately on July 27th, I requested a refund. Unfortunately, getting that refund was a long and frustrating process. Over the course of several weeks and countless emails, CarCover.com suggested sending me a smaller cover, only to later claim that it wouldn't fit either. Finally, on September 3rd, they notified me that they would issue a full refund since the next smaller size wouldn't work either. However, it took until October 4th to receive my refund.
To add insult to injury, they initially wanted to charge me $50 for the return shipping, but I pointed out that their own return policy stated nothing about the customer having to pay for shipping. I was then informed by a supervisor that I should remember that customers are not always right. Needless to say, this did not sit well with me and I was relieved when the supervisor eventually agreed to pay for my return shipping.
The "Hassle-Free Returns" policy was anything but hassle-free. Everything was done through email and I found their response times to be less than satisfactory. Additionally, they requested my tracking number to confirm receipt of my package, but isn't that something they should already have records of?
Finally, the actual cover itself was not of the quality I was expecting. It had fewer tie straps than my previous cover which resulted in an even looser fit. Overall, I was left extremely disappointed with my experience shopping at CarCover.com.
CarCover.com Review: Disappointing Product and Customer Service Experience, Recommending CarCovers.com
I recently purchased a cover from CarCover and unfortunately had a less than desirable experience. Upon receiving my order and opening the box, I found that the cover had been stuffed inside with no attempt at folding it neatly. To make matters worse, I discovered a noticeable tear in the material that explained why it had been carelessly packed.
In an effort to gauge the quality of the product, I did a wet test and discovered that after only 18 minutes of a damp sponge being on the cover, water began to seep through. This was a major disappointment and concern, as it would leave my vehicle vulnerable to damage if the cover were to be used outside.
When I contacted the customer service team at RMA.CARCOVER.COM, I was disappointed to find that my only options were a partial refund of 40% or returning the item and waiting for a review and potential refund. To make matters worse, I would have to cover the cost of shipping the item back myself.
In contrast to this experience, I also used the website CarCovers.com and had a much more positive interaction. I spoke with a knowledgeable agent who helped me ensure that the cover would fit properly before I invested any money in the purchase. We also discussed their return policy, and I was reassured that there was no risk to me as a consumer.
Overall, I would caution others against using the website CarCover.com. The experience was disappointing, and the product did not meet my expectations. Instead, I would recommend using CarCovers.com for a much smoother and more satisfactory customer experience.
CarCover.com Review: Disappointing Quality and Poor Customer Service
Based on our extensive research and consideration of several options, we decided to purchase a car cover from CarCover (carcover.com). Initially, we were impressed with the 5 layer protection and lock system that the cover boasted. While the fit of the cover was a bit loose, we were willing to overlook this due to the advertised performance and quality.
However, after only a month of use (which, we must add, is within their return/exchange period), we noticed that the cover was no longer fitting properly and water was leaking through. We contacted the company and were informed that this was due to the cover needing to "shrink the holes" by sitting on the car during rain periods for about a month. We were shocked that we were expected to allow our expensive car to be exposed to dirt, dust and moisture for such a long period of time, all in the hopes that the cover would eventually work properly.
To make matters worse, we discovered that after this initial return/exchange period, we would have to pay $30-40 in shipping fees to exchange the cover. Despite being frustrated and disappointed with our experience, we decided to give CarCover another chance and exchanged the cover for a different one. Unfortunately, we quickly realized that this second cover had similar issues - it allowed dust, dirt, sawdust, and rock dust to accumulate on our car, which was not only unsightly but potentially damaging.
Despite our efforts to contact the company and explain our situation, we were only offered the option to exchange the cover for a fee, as the 30-day period had elapsed. We found this response frustrating and unhelpful, and ultimately, we decided to look elsewhere for a car cover that would meet our needs.
If you are considering purchasing a car cover, we would recommend that you look elsewhere. Consider buying from a store where you can see the product in person and talk to sales associates or other customers to get an idea of their experiences.
Beware of False Advertising and Poor Customer Service from CarCover.com
I recently purchased a car cover from CarCover (carcover.com) and unfortunately, my experience with their product and customer service was far from satisfactory.
Upon receiving the cover, I noticed that the sides were soaked on the inside, despite the description stating that it was 100% waterproof. When I reached out to the company regarding this issue, I was met with an unhelpful response. The customer service team claimed that the cover's top was the only part that was water resistant, and that this was clearly stated in the product description. However, this made no sense to me. If the cover was not waterproof, then why was it advertised as such? It seems like a clear case of false advertising, which is unacceptable.
Furthermore, I was treated poorly by the customer service team, who made me feel like an idiot for not understanding the supposedly obvious limitations of the product. I have serious concerns about the validity of this company's lifetime warranty policy, given the way I was treated.
All in all, while the price of the cover may have seemed like a good deal at first, the poor quality of the product coupled with the abysmal customer service experience makes me regret doing business with CarCover. As a result, I would strongly advise others to steer clear of this company. The disrespect and disregard for customers displayed in this situation is simply unacceptable.
CarCover.com's Gold Shield 5L Car Cover: A Waterproof Disaster and Lack of Accountability
I recently had a poor experience with CarCover.com and I wanted to share my thoughts. I purchased their Gold Shield 5L car cover, which was marketed as a top-of-the-line waterproof outdoor silver car cover. Unfortunately, the very first night I used it, my factory paint job was completely destroyed. Water managed to seep under the "waterproof" cover and the resulting condensation completely ruined the paint on my hood, both front fenders, and trunk. There is even a large 6" x 12" dim spot on the trunk that can't be captured in a photo. I was horrified to see the damage and even more disappointed when I contacted CarCover.com to discuss the issue. They refused to take any responsibility, stating that "use of our product is left to the customer's discretion" and that they would not cover the cost of repairs.
I find it incredibly frustrating that a product marketed as waterproof could cause such significant damage in just one night. I understand that they can't control weather conditions, but this kind of damage was not what I expected from a top-of-the-line product. I also want to mention that I had previously purchased CarCover.com's black indoor cover for inside a garage, which was supposed to be "dust-proof." Unfortunately, I found that dust and pollen were still able to get through and cover my car. That's what prompted me to buy the Gold Shield 5G silver outdoor cover in the first place.
I wanted to share my experience to caution others who may be considering purchasing from CarCover.com. I have seen similar complaints and pictures of damage caused by their covers on other cars, which makes me very skeptical of their products. I hope that anyone reading this will do their own research and look at all of the available information before making a decision.
Disappointing Experience with CarCover.com's 5L Cover - Caution for Outdoor Use
I recently purchased the 5L cover from CarCover.com for my sleek triple black Porsche Turbo. I was excited to receive it as the advertisement for the product boasted waterproof, fleece inside, custom fit, and wind-proof qualities. However, my experience with this product was less than satisfactory. After shipping it to my winter condo in Florida, my girlfriend and I carefully covered the car, making sure to securely fasten the elastic front and back ends and attaching the straps around the front and back. However, upon returning from a two-week trip, we discovered that half of the cover had fallen off, and the car was dirty and damaged. The strap and clip system designed to keep the cover in place had failed, and the wind had repeatedly hit the car, causing chips in the paint. As any Porsche owner knows, having to repaint a car can result in a significant financial loss. After many attempts to speak with a representative, I was finally able to speak with the manager, Isaac. While he offered a refund, he denied responsibility for the damage to my vehicle. As a result, I have chosen to pursue legal action. Any potential buyers, I urge caution when considering this cover for outdoor use, as I have had a negative experience with it.
