I purchased a certified/pre-owned 2017 Ford Raptor in 2020 from Phil Long of Chapel Hills. During the first 8 months, the vehicle stopped functioning leaving the family stranded. When we had the truck towed to the dealership, it needed the four-wheel drive system replaced. This repair was covered under warranty. During the second year of ownership, I took it in for an oil change. They informed me there was metal in the oil and it would need a new engine. This repair was covered under warranty and I received the truck four months later. I asked the service department if there was anything else that might need to be repaired, and he assured me the mechanics checked the vehicle and it was good. When asked why metal was in the oil pan and the engine failed, there was no explanation given. Three days after getting the truck back, it broke down in Colorado Springs on the side of the highway. I had to get the truck towed to Chapel Hills Ford and they stated a clamp failed and all the coolant drained out. 18 months later, the engine light came on. I pulled over and had the truck towed to Chapel Hills Ford again, the fourth time in three years. The service department informed me the turbos failed, which also ruined the engine. They stated I would need two new turbos and a new engine. Although the engine was still within the two year warranty period, the service department stated the 18-month-old engine is not covered under the warranty because the turbos caused the issue. The service department stated the cost for two turbos and the engine is $17,800. The gentlemen from the service department left a voice mail that I needed to place a deposit for the engine repairs to start. When I returned from a business trip I called and declined the repairs and had not placed any deposit. He said they already pulled the cab off the truck and started removing the engine. At that time the estimate was around $1800.00 for pulling the cab and starting on the engine. I stated tht I did not authorize this repair. After a local mechanic that could work on the truck, I called to have the truck towed and the amount increased to $2700.00. When I expressed shock, the service representative said he would speak with the service director to see if there was anything they could do. I have not heard back from them. During my entire ownership of the truck, communication was very difficult and oftentimes never received calls back from the service department.

Desired outcome: I would like to take possession of the vehicle. I do not want to pay for the labor for the removal of the engine and its reinstallation because I did not authorize this work.
