CheapOair Double Charging

My husband bought a ticket from philippines going to lax using cheapoair. After we're done paying for the flight we receive an email for our ticket. On the other day we receive a text from the bank and it was double charge. When my husband call them they will always say that after 3-5 business days they will refuns it. Until now the credit card waa overdraft and we badly need the money. No actions has been taken. If they will continue to being like this we will

make sure to file a lawsuit.

Desired outcome: I hope that they will refund for the double charge.

CheapOair Travel credit that they won't honor

I booked flights for 3 people from Manila to South Korea before the pandemic. All of us are non-Korean tourists. However, obviously due to the pandemic, the flights were canceled and I was promised credits. I actually wanted to get a refund instead of credits but the hassle of being passed around between Cheapoair and Jeju Air (the airline we were supposed to fly) became too stressful for me. This was why I settled to just getting credits through Cheapoair. It's only recently when South Korea has become lenient with tourists so there was no way for me to use the credit.

I am aware that I booked the flight back in 2020 before the pandemic but I was told by the agent that my credit will not expire. I would constantly check the status of my credit on Cheapoair's "Credit Tracker and as of this writing, it still says "Hold for Credit". According to the disclaimer in the said tracker page, I do not have to do anything else about the credit and I can just simply call Cheapoair when I am ready to use my credit. However, when I phoned Cheapoair, I was shocked when they told me that my credit has expired and I could no longer use my around PhP32,000 (C$800) credit. I did not get any form of notification, there was nothing on their tracker that indicates any expiry date, and again, the status of my credit is still "Hold for Credit". Now they tried to pass the blame to Jeju air and Cheapoair ultimately refuses to honor my credit or to help me in anyway. One agent even told me that Cheapoair is only the mediator so I should not blame them and another agent just hung up on me mid call.

I was also told that my credit expired 1 year after the booking was made (2020), so my credit expired in 2021, DURING THE HEIGHT OF THE PANDEMIC?! They basically told me that because I did not use my credit during the middle of the Pandemic, when nobody was allowed to fly that it was my fault that my credit expired. No warning, nothing. They just decided that my C$800 credit should expire in the middle of the pandemic.

I booked a lot of flights with Cheapoair through the years, more than a decade in fact. They don't really care once they get your money. What a bunch of heartless crooks.

Desired outcome: Honor my Credit that You (Cheapoair) are holding. I will provide an update as soon as there is a development.

CheapOair I'm complaining about being over charged by CheapOAir

Good day, I purchased a ticket from CheapOAir to travel to Barbados on the 9th of May 2023. I decided to change the ticket to April 8th 2023 and add my 9 year old son to the flight because in April he gets Easter break from school and can't travel while school is in session. I ask what charges it would have to pay to change the ticket date and add my son to the flight. I was quoted $1243.05usd as my total for both tickets plus the penalty. But I was charged over $1800usd by CheapOAir and they refused to give me a refund. So I'm seeking such assistance to get my refund.

Desired outcome: I would like to be refunded of the extra charges that CheapOAir made to my card

CheapOair No flight

I booked our flight last year of May 2022 to Philippines, unfortunately I have to rebook due to my husband illness. Beginning of February this year I don’t see that we have a flight from Calgary to Vancouver to connect to our flight Vancouver to Taipe. I called many times to get answers why I have no flight, they said they working with the airline, our flight schedule is on April 6, 2023, and until now not getting any response. It’s been very frustrating cause , I don’t know if we are flying on that date or not.

CheapOair Flight cancellation refund

I was promised a refund of my flight tickets to Nicaragua in February 2019 after my flight was cancelled. I was told it will take about two months for the refund to go back to my credit card. It has been two years and counting and I have contacted Cheapoair about once a month since and all I get is we are working on it.

This is no longer unacceptable, I am sure they are trying to steal my money... and will leave no stones unturned to recover my money... let this be a lesson to them... that people work hard for their money and it should be returned. See response below from Ripoffair

CheapOair Booking/return flight

My return flight was cancel [edited] with Spirit Airlines and the Airlines Spirit are telling me that CheapOair made a mistake and that I have to four hundred dollars more for my return flight from San Juan. Now Spirit is refunding me because they don't have a fight on my return date,but if I pay 400 dollars more (that I don't have)they could get me a direct fight but on different date,can't do that because of my wife job(hospital)and my son school.I been talking with CheapOair trying to come to agreement but there no solution. I just want to receive my whole refund not half because CheapOair made the mistake on my booking from the start. From the beginning of my purchase I been receiving calls about my purchase of my fight,keep going up and up and telling me that the fight is not available anymore that I have to book another fight and the price has gone up.I already made a complaint to the U.S.Dept.Becuase CheapOair advertising one price and then when the customer fills out the information and pay with the credit card the price goes right up,I know it's about business and money,but I don't have it like that,I am disabled and I don't work. Spirit telling me that CheapOair made the mistake and they should refund me because I purchase the plane tickets with them. My booking number is [protected].I don't want to do any business with CheapOair anymore and I would appreciate if I could get refund and the purchase was made with CheapOair credit card it shouldn't be hard to return. CheapOair are not very honest because Spirit telling one thing and CheapOair telling me something else.Then my return flight from San Juan have me return in May 22nd from Miami and the other ticket leaving from San Juan is the 23rd,that is very confusión because how can I get to Miami to get to Chicago on the 22nd when they are changing my flight to the 23rd leaving from San Juan and the other ticket say 22nd Miami to Chicago?they didn't fix that one either.

CheapOair Not getting to my destination

I tried to book a flight from Kansas City Missouri to St Thomas Virgin Islands on Feb 1, 2023, 10:00pm to go on May 10, 2023. I was using a debt card to make the purchase and it was declined. A couple of hours later the system tried again to do the booking and was declined again. I had to wait till the bank opened up to find out why it was being declined. I found out it was due to the daily limit on the card. By then the replay on the booking said to change payment method so i changed it to my credit card. Again, it was declined as booking was no longer available so i called the number on the email it said to call to rebook the flight. That is when i got Cheapoair instead of OneTravel. I told the representative that i wanted to go to St Thomas. The price of the tickets had doubled from when i originally tried to book the flight. He said he had cheaper flight, but it was going to St Croix instead of St Thomas i asked how far it was thinking i could rent a car or have the chauffer pick us up there. He said it was 45 miles, but he did not tell me it was a different island so i accepted the flight. I made several attempts at calling Cheapoair to make the change to St Thomas and have been told that they cannot do that or give me a refund. I have tried to find a way to get from St Croix to St Thomas and i cannot find any way to get there by air or by water. All services are either way too expensive or I have to do a ferry that would take all day. All i want is to either get a refund so i can book a flight to St Thomas or have them change my destination to St Thomas and they refuse to do either one. I have even done a 3-way call with a supervisor from cheopair and American Airlines and still been told that they cannot do it. American Airlines says that Cheapoair has to call they Support Desk to get a waiver and the supervisor puts us on hold then comes back and says that American Airlines will not do the acceptation so i can change the ticket.

Desired outcome: refund all my money so i can rebook the flight or change my flight to St Thomas and i will pay the differance in the ticket price if it is highter.

CheapOair Airline tickets for 2

We were planning on taking a trip from Seattle to Las Vegas for Christmas on flight # [protected]. We were to leave on 12/24/22 and return on 12/29/22. We had to cancel at the trip at the last moment. I had purchase the cancel your flight insurance. I went to use the insurance but was told it only allowed for a credit. I paid over $1400.00 for the 2 tickets. I was told my credit was only $1074.00. That's a bit of a rip off. Now I want to use the credit to purchase new tickets. I can see online that the new tickets would cost around $600.00 for cheap tickets. If I decide to use business class tickets that will cost me more then the $1000.00 credit. so basically I am out $800.00. I don't think this sounds right when I purchase the cancellation insurance, do you?

CheapOair Cancellation process

I booked Flights on February 7, 2023 for Indianapolis to Budapest & Munich to Indianapolis and received a CheapOair Booking [protected] for $3,436.96. Unfortunately, Vacation Itinerary Changed. On February 8, 2023, Within 24 hours I attempted to cancel my CheapOair Booking [protected], but was unsuccessful. Called CheapOair on February 9, 2023, to again Cancel this Booking. After requesting the Booking be Cancelled I was informed that I would NOT receive a Refund, but would receive a CREDIT from CheapOair. This isn't what the CheapOair Cancellation Policy states.

Here was the only CheapOair Web Information (Displayed) on Cancellation:

• Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, there has been a high volume of trip cancellations and refunds. As a result, it will take longer than usual for customers to receive their refunds. We apologize for any inconvenience the delay may cause.

o For bookings cancelled within 24 hours, your refund should be processed within 7-14 business days.

o For bookings cancelled after 24 hours, your refund should be processed within 1-3 billing cycles.

o For bookings made on low-cost carriers such as Frontier or Spirit, you may only be eligible for a refund if you cancelled within 24 hours of booking AND your departure date is more than 7 days away.

The CheapOair Agent refused to adhere to the cancellation policy statement and only would provide a Credit of $3,055.26, with CheapOair, for an Air Canada flight.

Desired outcome: Cancel the CheapOair Credit of $3055.26 and issue a Refund of $3,055.26 according to the CheapOair Cancellation Policy Statement that I based my action on to cancel CheapOair Booking [protected].

CheapOair Flight not booked

I am writing in regards to a purchase I made from CheapOair on 7/18/2022. My husband and I decided to take a trip to Europe for our 20th wedding anniversary. We were so excited and had our trip planned. We departed on 8/28/22 with no problem.

The day prior to departure from Paris, I contacted CheapOair to discuss changing the time of our flight to depart later. I spoke with the representative at least five times as he looked for flights. He assured me that we would have a departure flight at 1:00 pm. I advised him that I had not received confirmation and we wanted to make sure because we had to arrange transportation and check out of our hotel. It was on 9/6 at 12 am Paris time, I contacted CheapOair because I had not received confirmation of our return flight. When I contacted CheapOair the representative again assured me that I had nothing to worry about. I advised him that I did not feel comfortable not having my confirmation prior to me turning in for the night and also knowing that they would be closed until 1 pm Paris time.

That morning we got up, gathered our things and headed to the airport. On our way I was checking my email and no confirmation could be found. We got to the AirPort and we talked to Lufthansa, and they advised us that the airline did not confirm our flight and we had to speak to CheapOair. After spending a considerable amount of time trying to research and call we could not confirm our flight. The representative at Lufthansa stated that we would more than likely have to wait until the next day for a flight. We could not wait, we had our kids and work to get back to. My husband quickly booked a First Class flight and spent $5,000 to get us home.

I contacted CheapOair while in the airport during our connecting flights home. The representative stated he could not give us our money back, he only refunded us the amount he charged us to change the flight. He advised me to contact the airline to try and get our money back.

I have attempted to contact Austria Airlines and Lufthansa and I was advised by both to contact CheapOair. When I contact CheapOair I get nowhere. I’ve asked to speak to the supervisor and was informed someone would call me and they never did. I am reaching out to get a refund for our return flight as we were misled by the representative insuring us of our flight that we had already paid for and did not use. This was no way our fault and should not be held financially responsible.

CheapOair Flight booking

I booked a flight 8 months ago in June, departing feb 13 and arriving back on the 1st. I get constant change notifications for a few months, before they settle on an itinerary change on the 1st of december. I contact them and they can't offer me anything other than an overnight layover, but they can't even confirm that, they have to contact the airline. They say it would take 2-3 days. I get emails every 2-3 days, once 11 emails on the same day, saying they are still contacting the airline. I wait until after the holidays, since I figure that might cause issues. I contact them several times, both by call and their web chat, and all they can tell me is that they will contact the airline, please wait, ad nauseam.

Most recently, it is a week until our flight, and they still can't give me the tickets. I contact their web chat, and am immediately kicked out of chat. I start a new one, get an agent, and am told to wait a few minutes many times in a row, for an hour and a half. Eventually I get a phone agent that tells me not only can I not avoid an overnight layover, but my 2 leg trip has turned into a 3 leg trip, with a red eye to boot. After 8 months, they still weren't able to lock down the tickets I paid for up front.

I would encourage everyone looking to book tickets to look elsewhere. Hotels will cost more than you will save, and the quality of flight will be significantly worse. Cheapoair offers no value or support

CheapOair Booking flights with flight credit

There are 4 booking numbers with a total of 5 passengers. We originally booked flights 2019 to travel 2021 to the UK and covid hit, so we could not travel. We then tried to re-book 2021 to travel 2022 to the United Kingdom but there were several covid19 restrictions and quarantines that we could not travel. Our credit letters show that the credit is good through 04/30/23 & some others say 12/2023. Since then, the restrictions are laxed and we would finally like to book our flights 04/10/23-04/22/23, however dealing with the India call center is nothing but a disaster. We are dealt with rude customer service, lies, or they hang up on us. We have been trying to re-book since December. We call everyday starting 0800 or 1100 or 1300 hrs. It does not matter what time we call; we are fed the same lies with no results. The promises of a call back the next day with flights never happens. We are constantly transferred around. Our average call time every time we call is 3 or 4 hours on the phone with no results. If no one is going to book our flights, then we would like all our monies refunded please.

CheapOair To received the full refund of my money.

I booked a flight from Manila to Bali AirAsia Airline, I used Cheapoair company to booked my flights unfortunately AirAsia cancelled the flights.
So I asked Cheapo air to returned my refund.

CheapOair Unauthorized credit card charge

I was owed a refund of $1035 from a flight that I canceled and instead of getting a refund they took charged $1035 to my card. I’ve been calling their billing department for over a month and nothing is getting resolved. I’ve sent bank statements and have spoken with at least 20 different people in the billing department and each one has a different story. I’m at the point to where I’m ready to take the matter to small claims court

CheapOair Flight not properly booked

On January 14th I had a return flight booked for my roundtrip booked through them. I go to check in on my connecting flight and somewhere the flight was cancelled. When I called airlines they advised me that yes they could see my flight had been cancelled. contact cheapoair and they say everything looks fine talk to airlines. The airlines said the agent cancelled the flight, the agent said the airlines cancelled it, both saying the other must fix it. When I called cheapoair supervisor they said I was a no show. I said I arrived two hours early and he said I should have arrived 3 hours early. Another supervisor called and said I changed the flight and it's my fault. He then said he can escalate to the higher level at the airlines but I would have to wait here over the weekend. I cannot wait so I decide to just pay again for new flight through Hawaiian, I pay for new flights and they cannot ticket my infant son. They say I need to contact cheapoair to fix it. I call cheapoair and use their chat and they are closed. So much for 24/7 help. I would like a refund.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund at minimum and covering of amount I paid to change the flight and book hotel for extra day.

CheapOair Refund of ticket

I’m January 9th I had a flight booked, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond my control my flight was cancelled by CPB. When I called the united airline they advised me that yes they could see my flight had been cancelled. When I called cheapoair they said I was a no show. I have sent documentation to cheapoair but instead of replying they are just ignoring my request.

I would like to resolve this but it is difficult when they won’t respond. This is not the first time I have lost a flight refund to them.

CheapOair Complaint

To whom it may concern,

On Dec 10, 2022, I called CheapOair to cancel my tickets and become aware of their requirements. They told me you can cancel tickets and have a credit to buy new tickets until September 2023. I agreed to cancel the tickets and paid $100. 2 days later, they called me and said that they had missed some parts of the updates from Austrian Airlines and you have to buy tickets now before the date of tickets (28th of December). They checked the prices and told me that I need to pay around $2500 more for new tickets.

I told them that I don’t have this money now and I made this decision based on their wrong information. They called me again and told me that Austrian Airlines will refund the money. Another day, again they called me and said that the Austrian airline did not agree to refund the money. This situation is annoying, just wasted time and money. After several times of calling and talking, they told me they will check and either refund the money or give me a credit until next September but, they never called me again and now I do not know what is the fate of my tickets. It is not fare. I am an international student and this money is huge for me. There is nobody to accept responsibility for this problem. CheapOair does not care about its customers.

CheapOair Scam robbers, took my money and canceled my vacation

They took $4435 for my vacation package booking number [protected]. Vacation package included tickets and hotel for two. Few hours before departing my flight gets canceled, after hours on calls and chat with cheapoair they could not find us another flight. Booking got canceled and cheapoair is refusing to refund us $4435. We are left with no vacation and no money.

CheapOair Flight cancellations without providing any help to the customer

I am filling a complaint against cheapoair for fraud, physical and emotional stress, and missing work. I purchased an Airline ticket from them on August 16,2022. I received the iterinary and all set to travel on December 29,2022. I received a new iterinary for my flight that has a different time and route. I tried to confirm my new iterinary but it won’t let me. On December 26 at 9am, I call the cheapoair customer service for help with my flight. The person I talk to from India told me that it was a technical error and my flight was canceled and there was no flight for me. I beg this person to help me with other dates. He said no I can’t help you. Your own my own. He said your wasting your time. Just get a refund of your money. I beg him if I can talk to his supervisor. He said he will call me back. He never did. I was very upset. I was having chest pain and high blood pressure. I missed my work that night because I feel sick. The next day I called another agent from cheapoair. This person tell me the same thing. I have no flight. He can’t help me. He told me to get refund of my ticket. He help me process it. I adk him when I get the refund back he said he don’t know. You will know it when it goes to your Visa card. I have to purchase a new airline ticket for a higher price. I want to file a complaint to cheapoair and also legal action to this company for fraud.
