On 29 April 2017 we 'won' a free holiday the catch was to pay $40 to attend their seminar. Upon attending Classic Holidays seminar a few days later, their sales rep sold us on the claims that that they had properties and 5 star hotels on their list of properties. They stated that they regularly organised church groups on tours to Israel. Additionally, the office manager Charmaine went to school with my husband which lowered our mistrust about this business. We also thought we could use the 'free' holiday that we 'won' to book my family to attend my sisters wedding. However the first red flag was when we noticed that in the whole State of Victoria, there were only 2 resorts. The nearest was an hour and a half from the wedding venue. The second red flag, upon calling Classic Holidays around November 2017 to organise a trip for my family to Israel, the sales rep had no planned itinerary as we were led to believe and asked us to shop around first then come back to them. We didn't trust Classic Holidays to book us on such a trip with this attitude and went with a reputable travel agent in the end. The third red flag was, to see if they could redeem themselves, my husband called Classic Holidays late in 2018 and spoke to the sales rep who claimed that he could get us cheaper deals on a cruise we went on in February 2019. However after getting a 'discounted deal' from Classic Holidays, we found out later from friends we were travelling with, they booked directly with the Carnival Cruises and that they were paying the same rate at us. We stopped using Classic Holidays after this as so far what they have promised, they have not delivered. As such, we would like our money refunded and cancellation of our fee.
