The oakwood hotel twigworth
Room was cold and damp smell , also very bad smell in bathroom. Reception came and srprayed air freshener. The smell returned, further complaint lodged and they said ok i would get a,response . Never responded to , nothing on departure. Apparently this,is typical looking at other responses about this premises . Not happy as we couldn't sleep unless Windows were open.

I booked family room and it was no such room type and finally give only 1 double ned room.
Also, there is no air condition during my stay ( technical problem not working.)
It was a really bad experience and I request a compensation to the cost of the room (family room vs double bed room) and bad experience we never had.

After arriving at one property that turned out to be hideous beyond words, and not at all as was described on your site (Linden Tree Inn), we paid the 65 pounds cancellation fee and decided to go elsewhere. What a mistake that was!
Central Hotel in Gloucester is located in a frightening area populated by alcoholics and drug addicts. It has no parking and no breakfast, and yet were charging very high prices for the weekend. Since we are from Canada, and have never been to the area, we really did not know what to expect.
The third floor room was stifling! The windows opened only a crack and there was no AC. The worst thing is that the hotel has no air exchange system. (My boyfriend is a facilities engineer, so he has great knowledge in this area.) We were told that there were no other rooms available until possibly the next day.
The night was very hot but tolerable. The next night, when the outside temperatures rose to 26C, the room was unbearable. Having suffered our second night, we decided to finally change rooms with all our numerous luggage.
The woman who had checked us in, Magda, was on an attack. She cut me off as I spoke, almost yelled over me, made accusations and was frightfully rude, and all because I had written to their customer service email complaining of the heat. I was so taken aback that I frankly did not know what to say. The Roomsbooked.com email we were provided with did not work. Instead, I received weak justifications for daring to complain about the heat.
I have never had such an experience, and it was so upsetting, that I am now seriously looking at never booking with Booking.com again, and instead I will be contacting hotels directly. There really is no discount to be had, and one has no guarantees of the quality of the establishments.
