After Black Friday in the world of online poker I was happy to find this site advertised on ESPN and other networks that broadcast poker. Its legal and you can win money and prizes for only twenty bucks a month and thats all fine and good. I had heard about certain sites that were "rigged" meaning that beginning players or loyal players would win hands that in poker were just unbelievable. I did some research and found out that the same company that run's or ran "partypokers" software and website is the same company that is used for Club WPT.com. I played for a month every night, and watched all in hands or hands that were played all the way to the river. Playing in some of these myself, I saw "bad beats" that were unreal. Anyone who plays poker seriously knows at least a little about outs and odds. Well, the odds of some of the hands I saw were insane but in the end the player with the worst hand, worst outs and worst odds won almost a majority of the time! Thats truly unbelievable at a live poker game period, there are going to be bad beats and suck outs but what Ive witnessed on this site is crazy. Example: I had pocket AA pre flop, I raise 250, get one caller who re-raises 750, I push all in and he calls...so Im thinking he has pocket KK, AK, QQ something reasonable. Cards are shown he has 5, 7 offsuit...flop comes...555...what are the odds, I dont know but they are unreal. So he beat me with quad 5's. (ive also seen tons of quads on this site and have had them myself) Example 2: Make a long story short, two people in the hand both all in, at the end of the hand after the river one has quad aces, the other a Royal Flush (caught on the river of course)! Also, it seems the last card in the deck someone needs to win they catch, almost all the time. Some people may say "why would a site do this?" well thats somewhat easy to explain and its kinda common sense...lets say you are a new player, never played before but wanna play cause its popular and they can win money...so you pay your money and sign up...you dont know what your doing..you win a few hands by luck...but over time you lose the majority of the time which is what happens for any new player period...in the long run you will lose...now keeping that in mind are you going to keep playing if you always lose...doubtful...you will become frustrated period! So lets say you are a good player, you log tons of hours on the site and play in alot of tourneys but you keep getting sucked out on by players who call anything and play every hand...are you going to get upset? Yes! Are you going to get frustrated? Yes! Are you going to be motivated to keep playing? Maybe but doubtful... so for the site its a balancing act... how can you keep the new players playing and the good players staying...its simple you rig the site so its a balancing act. Thats just my theory though although others online have mentioned it too and its frustrating! If you are an online poker player check the site out pay your 20 bucks and see what you think!

I saw the same bad beats also. I mentioned it twice in the comments section (I literally remarked "quads on the turn and river again") and the next day they blocked me from seeing my cards. the reasoning behind it was that I was playing away from home in another state that I couldn't receive prize money in. the logic was flawed because I have been playing away from home in that state for roughly 14 days in a row before I stated that fact. Coincidentally after I complain to WPT about the blacking out of my screen my computer died and it was only two years old

I agree club wpt very shady I have been playing on line poker since 2008 on a regular basis and have won some big mtt, s, I agree it may be rigged to keep the retarded donks happy and paying there 24.95 a month, I have been on the site now for over 3 months and in the beginning I did win a little a total of 70.00 which I do get in the mail. But after that no matter how I played or what I did the site had no intention of letting me win! Except they let me win in points turneys, those are turneys where you can win turney points which you need in order to enter turneys, for example there sunday 5k turney requires 4000 tp, s but you can have a million tp, s if you can not win the cash who cares! Even if the site is not rigged be warned at least 50-60 % play as if its just play poker and the only play for entertainment period if they occasionally win 5 or 10 bucks then there thrilled! The site is not licensed buy any gaming authority, also there customer service is very poor email only no chat or calls. If you like turneys and just want the entertainment value go for it but do not join with any expectation of winning a big cash prize, its like the same odds of winning the lotto! I may cancel but I do admit I do get entertainment value in between my desire to compete. I will write more reviews in the future, my player name is nicetryfish on club wpt. Now I am sure I on there do not let win list!

I was a member for 6 months, until I attempted to cash out my winnings. Not a chance, you talk to their support they tell you to send valid I.D and proof of address. I did 15 times over 3 month period. Everytime I talk to them, they say we haven't received anything.

Warning this is a fn scam. STAY AWAY

Wow I totally agree with Kratom Buzz this site is almost for sure rigged in that I believe there is no way on earth there dealing program is truly random! I know it can be done on the tech end from what I have been able to learn. They do it to keep there paying donks happy and paying there monthly fee. Anyone who plays on the site on a regular basis does not take it serious at all so most just play insane poker because they really don't care if they go out, as the site runs 24/7 turneys, There are some decent players in there but you will be dealing with massive herds of spazztic donks!

Clubwpt poker is also designed to take your 19.95 a month in agreement to where you cannot be able to contact personally with a customer or membership contact by phone in the event to claim a prize. if you go to claim a money prize they will ask you to fax your info, then they will tell you through a chat session that they have not received the information & ask you to please fax it again. then they will ask you what number did you fax your info from?, then they will tell ya that the fax was blurred & they cannot read your info. if you try to send it post-mail they will tell you that you will have to wait that they haven't received the info. yet. then they will tell ya to check to see that you sent the correct info to the right address & please send it again, so that your never ever able to claim your prizes, if there is money involved. bottom line is clubwpt does not have a customer contact by phone#to speak with live & the only means of contact is through their automated database faq's system & your issues is never resolved to where they have to pay any money prizes out, & your actually paying $19.95 a month just to play poker.

my complaint is, this is suppose to be a free poker site, however, if u have several "FREE" accounts, you can only chat on 2. It says, chat is for paid members only!. I will not pay just to chat. However, If you are a paid member, you can have as many accounts as you want, this is not fair to the one's that only want to play free games. I have several accounts, which are free accounts, I cannot say, gh, ty, unless I pay? Oh well, I may become a member, but not soon. How can you say it's a free poker site, when you have to pay, just to chat at tables? Disappointed poker player.

I joined clubwpt.com about 4 days ago. While I myself cannot confirm the prize claim eligibility and or confirmation anyone has received any, I can in fact confirm the software the software is rigged.

I play both Hold-Em & Black Jack tournaments, I only use Black Jack play chip games for my play chips.

Here is my experience in both:
There are a few issues with black Jack on that site:
Whether in a tournament or play chip games the results are the same which is that the dealer gets more wins than it's possible for any dealer to get in any casino on the face of this planet. Granted it's a program but that's not the point. The following is an example of what goes on during these black jack games:

Problem 1:
If you make a max bet of 25K and or all your chips you will 99.9% of the time get a number that if whether you take a hit or not, you will lose, because the dealer has a face card showing and you have a rancid number of 13-16 so you're screwed. In black jack it's normal to lose about 25% of the time on this, but in this case you lose 99.9% of the time making it a mathematical impossibility for this to happen.

Problem 2:
The program has a tendency to favor the player with the most money while in a tournament.

Problem 3:
97% of the time doubling down when you have an 11 or or below showing while the dealer has a 6 or below showing, results in you getting an end result of under 14, while the dealer takes anywhere between 3-6 cards, and gets 17s - 21s...

Problem 4:
As a continuation of Problem three, 98% of the time when the dealer takes multiple cards due to having to take hits, and I'm talking 3-6 cards and even sometimes 7-8 cards) and somehow the dealers hand magically never goes over 21, the dealer only goes over 21, I'd say about once out of every 5 or 6 times this happens. But most players who take multiple cards And I'm talking 2 or 3, go over 21, 5 out of every 4 times this is done. It's impossible that a dealer can take 3-6 cards and not go over 21 or get exactly 21 or wins, 5 times out of 6 but yet a player takes 2-3 cards and goes over 21, or loses 5 out of 6 times.

TEXAS HOLD-EM ISSUES

First let me explain a few things regarding my perspective from poker in general to help you better understand where I'm coming from.

I personally find Texas hold-em river rule completely ###ic and the ultimate contradiction to poker.
Let me explain, 99% of Poker is a game of skill and very little chance, and always has been, up until some ### somehow managed to convince the gaming commission to totally change this. Regardless of what any poker player says the ability for people to win on the river, voids any skill involved up to that point, which contradicts poker in general. People always say bet smart and play right, well none of that matters and is no longer a factor with the river. You can bet anyway you want to and try to be as smart as you want to, but if you play to the river, none of how you bet matters any more simply because people that shouldn't be winning due to the skill before the river screw you out of a win all because they got lucky.

They need to do one of 2 things in order to put the game back the way it is supposed to be.
1. The ability to win on the river needs to be completely removed altogether. And allow only people who have the game won before the river to win
OR
2. If they keep the river and the 100% luck factor and win on that, then they need to stop all the betting, no flop, no turn, only flip 5 cards and win like that.

So that means lock in their bets before any cards are dealt just like black jack, and then wait and see who wins..

Doing number 2 is absolutely no different than people playing until the river and having the river screw someone out of a win. Face it...when people play to the river get lucky and win it's the same as locking in your bets and seeing who wins

The other rule that is ###ic and contradicts itself is the flush rule.

Excluding a royal flush, If you ask anyone what the highest Flush is a person can have, they will respond with A high flush. It even says so in the rules. Now the reason this is ###ed and contradictory is simply because if both people have hearts in their hand and there are 3 hearts on the board and one of the ones on the board is an A of hearts, according to the rule and what everyone says and the hand ranks, both players do in fact have an A high flush because both players share the A making both players have the same exact hand.

If you still disagree then apply what I'm about to say to this:
If both players have a 2 and 3 in their hand and the board has a 4, 5, 6 both players have a 2-5 straight right, however think about this, if one player has a 2, 7 in their hand and another player has 2, 3 in their hand, and there is a 4, 5, 6, then then the player with a 7 wins the hand for having a higher straight...But now take that and apply it to the A high flush
If A high flush is the highest, and both players have hearts, and there are 3 hearts on the board one of them being an A, no player can have anything in their hand that can go above A high flush

Because you cannot go above A high flush, so if the hearts in both players hands are 3, 7 H, and 4, 8, how is it possible that means an * high flush wins which isn't possible because A high flush is the highest.

So this rule is not only ###ed, doesn't even make any sense, but also throws the Flush ranking system and what the highest flush is out the window.

According to how this works A high is not the highest flush because if it was, when the A is on the board the pot would be split.

Anyway, you couple all that with the Texas Hold-em on CLUBWPT.com and you have a disaster.
The computer targets specific people (Not sure the calculation it uses for this but) if you watch the games there are people who just never ever catch a break on the river and certain people who get a break every single time when they need it.

I myself won an entry seat into a satellite tourney Sunday April 15th, 2012 at 4pm.
If I wind up winning the seat..Good luck to me on that) I will report back if I was able to get my prize.

I am also going to start video recording my games with narration by me and posting the videos showing what is going on during these games so keep an eye out for them ok.

The first thing you have to understand about clubwpt is that it is set up as a business model not a poker model. The software is set up so everyone has a chance to win no matter how bad or good they are. This keeps the flow of 24.95 a month coming in from everyone. To win on this site one has to simply learn how to play your seat. Once your seat turns hot any two cards play. Paying attention to who sits in the dead seats can also increase your stack. There are patterns galore to this site. Pay attention each day and you will figure them out. This doesn't mean you will win every time as you will get your share of dead seats. If you are a true poker player, you will not like this site. The constant stream of single card suck outs, horrible play rewarded, constant stream of flushes, and unbelievable finishes is entertaining to say the least. As a true poker player you will get quite frustrated. The technical problems will also frustrate you. I will say this, the customer service has improved dramatically over the last year. I received my checks within 3 weeks of asking for them. Overall as a poker site i give them a D. As a business model they get an A because of how this poker software works. It most certainly keeps people playing. And if you think you are the only one who knows how to play your seat, you would be wrong. Approx 70% of the people playing know how to play the hot seats and dead seats. The leaderboard stats are also a joke, mainly because the formula is designed to keep the daily players in the top 200 mix, not the BEST players. If you just want the entertainment for playing, than 24.95 is a good deal for you. If you are a true poker player, this is NOT the site for you.

I just joined and am using clubWPTs "2-week trial" period. they accepted my personal info by email and confirmed receipt. i dont know the time frame of the payouts from the prizes, as i have yet to qualify for said prizes. i have been playing live since 1998 and serious tournys since 2008. I have also played online before "black friday". started at partypoker, then pokerstars & finally on full "scam", i mean errr...full tilt poler. cashed on all sites. didnt have many problems on those sites. i do have to say that i am finding common software similarities between partypoker and clubWPT. Its very interesting to know that partypoker wrote the software for clubWPT. I played for more than a year on partypoker and the suck out were very unreal, much like on clubwpt. i wont get into long stories but pkt AA, KK, QQ dont have much chance. I used to think of how powerful A 10 was on partypoker, and now it sees K J are the cards to play on clubwpt. i have seen the patterns &"dead seats" and do know how to play against them and while in them. i have run deep in some big 1, 000, 10, 000, 50, 000 player fields and luck is a major factor, but most of the software plays the same, meaning partypoker & clubwpt have very similar patterns w huge suck out from very weak 8 10, etc hands. pokerstars wasnt as bad, but yes the suck outs on clubwpt are epic. ill probably keep playing on clubwpt, but just wanted to share my feeling & thoughts. feel free to check me out anytime on clubwpt, screen name: GrinningDemon

Club WPT is a complete rip off... I win often on WPT in non-prize tournaments, VERY OFTEN... I have a high win ratio on most sites that I play on. On WPT even I have won seats for larger tournaments, no problem. I also have won over 80K in play chips even with all the badbeat bs that goes on... However, when it comes to the actual "prize" tournaments I am card dead every time. As I said, I normally have a very high "win ratio". I keep track of this as it is important to me. How can WPT explain a high win ratio on their non-prize tournaments and an almost zero win ratio in the prize tournaments. I win or come close to win on every site that I play on a good percentage of the time (Party Poker ahead more than 20million, Pokerstars ahead more than 40million, Paradise Poker won thousands of dollars before the United States stopped play in U.S., and I have won thousands of dollars at Viejas Casino in San Diego, and other wins. I have won many tournaments with hundreds and even thousands of players or I come close to the win. I win or come close to win in live casino play also as I have said. I think I am learning this game pretty well.
I have noted that in WPT prize tournaments however I get absolutely the worst cards ever or when I do get a very good betting hand they almost always lose (a lot of river suck outs). Really, how many premium pocket pairs, flopped top two, flopped sets, flopped straights, and even flopped flushes are going to lose, especially to completely dominated hand. In live poker at casinos I can count the number on my hands in 9 years of play. On WPT prize tournament... it is a regular event. Somehow it is the RNG norm (my opinion and evaluation). Worse than that though is the fact that WPT does not respond to complaints.. How dare them to ignore complaints from a member and a consumer? Really it is criminal in my opinion for a site to rig it's play. We all know that slots are rigged and people somehow accept that (not me.. I won't play them, they are rigged). I have contacted them and discussed this and other points with their phone "rep. They claim that the RNG is third-party tested. How would a phone operator know if that was true and also even if that was true why wouldn't they look into the complaint rather than dismiss it?
Complaints:
1. Disconnections: often when I get good cards.. repeated disconnect from table when I chat or if I go to another window and often when I would have won the hand.
2. Very slow response to click.. or no response
3. Sometimes folds with no click.. (when I have pocket A's)
4. Everyone folds when I have pocket A's (way too often)
5. Begin losing every hand and getting totally dead cards when they switch the table (most of the time they switch the table suddenly completely card dead).
6. Almost every "Prize" Tournament I don't get any winning cards.. In my hand (mostly low and not suited)
7. Almost no board to my hand.. (this is only true in prize tournaments... I get board and winning cards in non-prize tournaments).
8. Customer "service" is not real. A phone rep could not possibly know if the RNG is rigged. They all claim that it is perfect.
9. WPT must think we are all idiots. They must think that we will believe and accept that we are just extremely unlucky.. ("that's poker" is what you will hear).. I say that is not poker it is a rip off scam.
10. NO WAY to have WPT accept accountability
11. Programmers could have rigged play without WPT knowing (highly unlikely but possible). You think WPT, a site that has a shot at being top in world would take this seriously and establish credible dealing. There is no dealer. This is a program. If a lot of players are saying that it seems out of whack then maybe it is. (for players that deny that would even be reasonable for WPT or any online entity to cheat, well they don't know that other sites have already been caught and them being caught was by observant players... Players that persisted to resist the bs and found ways to prove the site (program) was rigged.
12. This is a rip off of the consumer...
13. Potentially they are killing the integrity of poker gaming. (if there is any). I would love to be playing for money online again, probably will if they make it "legal" again in U.S. How can I play for money if the site is rigged.
14. Every time they play a card from the bottom to facilitate a badbeat (by design) they are ripping the players off from their game and their time.

Thank you...
CM in Anaheim

Wow I could have written this post, you may want to read my post I just wrote in reply to shadys post. I have also sent emails asking about there dealing program and all I get is a BS reply. I sent them 3 emails asking them to just state that there dealing program is 100% random at all times, I just wanted them to say yes or no and they will not instead I get BS replies! I will say I was easily validated from the get go I simply uploaded my ID and I was good. I will continue to evaluate the site, I do not want to convict on circumstantial evidence.

CLUB WPT APPEARS TO BE RIP OFF/ SHADY SITE. I WAS OFFERED A 2 WEEK TRIAL MEMBERSHIP WHICH I SIGNED UP ( HAD TO GIVE CREDIT CARD) . I CANCELLED THE MEMBERSHIP AS I USED TO PAY ONCE IN THIS TRIAL PERIOD.. I CANCELLED THE MEMBERSHIP BEFORE THE TWO WEEK PERIOD BUT THE E MAIL WAS RETURNED . SO I CONTACTED THEM ON CHAT TO CANCEL MEMBERSHIP WHICH THEY DID BUTTHEY DIDNT MENTION ANYTHING THAT THEY HAD CHARGED ME ..
NEXT THING I LEARNT WAS THAT MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED $239.40 WHICH REPORTEDLY I LEARNT LATER FROM CHAT WAS 1 ONE YEAR MEMBERSHIP FEE . APPARNTLY IT WAS HIDDEN IN FINE PRINT WHICH WAS OVELOOKED. AFTER CONTACTING THEM ON CHAT THEY ARE TAKING THE POSITION IT IS IN THE TERMS I "AGREED TO" AND SAY THEY HAVE NO RETURN POLICY. ? HAS ANY ONE ELSE EXPERIENCED SUCH RIPOFF'S. IS A WAY TO RECOVER THESE ILLEGAL CHARGES.

You can or could have easily disputed with your bank and if you have a normal bank like chase, bank america, wells they would probably give you the money back right away, just tell you your bank you are disputing a charge, should be no problem especially since it is an on line charge. I know of what I speak as I worked in fraud detection. But this is not fraud its a merchant dispute, fraud is when your card is used without your knowledge or permission,

Follow up to my earlier complain on Annual Membership fee Charged: After further pursuing this complaint of annual membership charge, ClubWPT has reconsidered, and accepted my proposal to prorate and charge me only for a month Membership Fee ($20/-), and they said they would to place a refund request for the balance $214.45. I believe this was an amicable settlement all things considered and I thought In fairness to Club WPT I should put this on record.

WOW!
I'm shocked to see so many horrible post for club wpt...well, not really. I though it was me at first.
I was just googling "rigged poker" and decided to put in "clubwpt". I was totally shocked that the Great Poker show, that I loved, wanted to play in to be apart of it in Any way is actually rigging their site. It MUST be going well too bc they advertise it consistently. Even on the show after 2 clubwpt commercials.
Why do I believe club wpt being rigged to be true? I am not a pro or anything like that, but I am not an slow either and I've played poker since I was in high school in the '90s. Basically the same situation as the 1st post happened to me, but in spades (no pun intended) . Also "cmilton111" post is RIGHT ON. I have seen all that but most of all is what I'm about to mention
At first I played a tournament on clubwpt and won !st place and $10 bucks. The check came written to my "nickname" instead of the one on my actual credit card that I used to sign up with. Didn't think it would be a problem. Then the bank said it had to be the same as on the card.
After I get in touch with club wpt about it and have them change my first name to the one on my credit card in my account, I ask them to send me a new check. Guess what the reply was? "Well, since you're name is changed we can't do can't do that. But next time you win we will pay you."
I thought it was wrong, but I was new and didn't wanna get into it over $10 since I just won, I will win again...kinda...
After that, I started to see the most UNREAL bad beats and calls where it seemed as if the other players not only knew what cards where coming, but knew each other.
I started to bust out of the tournaments faster and faster as they would always have better hands. Then I actually cashed in 2nd place by playing the WORST HANDS EVER! Hands I would NEVER play in a live game or at all. I mean 7/2o to 2/2 all in and would beat KK or AA, and then get insulted by the very same players were JUST DOING THE SAME THING and winning. Then I bust them by doing what they are doing to me and they get mad.

I started to get pretty upset. I thought I must be as bad as they say after losing so many. I mean, "its WPT after all I thought" and since its not a gambling site, wink wink, that there wouldnt be collusion. I was so wrong its embarrassing. After cashing the check for $15, what happened next drove me crazy and, sadly, I am going to cancel my account bc of it.
Anyhow, after cashing it, ANY tournament I entered everyone was going all in, or would sit out. Players killing cards and letting a 2-3 ppl play against me, killing my hand by going all in. Then I get AA and they either fold quickly or just bet super small OR making his hand on the river which was now the norm...it was so silly.
THIS IS WHAT REALLY DID IT AND WHY I AM CANCELING CLUB WPT.
I not only have been busted by these players, but I get busted out of the tourneys with QUADS each time in each tournament that has prizes! This has happened at least 10-12 times. What are the odds of that happening? I mean, to be making quads is tough to do, then to get busted out (not just losing a pot), over and over again with a player hitting quads all the time. I mean ALL the time. This happening to me 10 times at least is pretty crazy.

From what i see online, it seems ( just my opinion) that club wpt is running a great "operation" in my opinion. They have you pay $20-25 a month, and say you can win $100, 000 in cash and prizes. Well, if the seats are the prizes, and the most is a 10k tourney--just do the math.

They did/are doing what Full TIlt Poker would have done if it were run by great "business people". Get you to pay and then say you "won" when you won nothing.
Lastly and MAINLY, I believe they give the big prizes to friends/workers who play and are contracted by another company to play on the site.
One player musta been too drunk and started telling me that everyone knows me and that they play against me. I asked if they shares whole cards and are colluding, expecting a sarcastic response...nope. He flat out told me they are colluding against me. Good news is I have documented ALL OF IT.
I sent club wpt an email with the screen shots. They sent an email back sounding like they are gonna fix it. Nothing has changed. I'm thinking of posting all my vids and snap shots just to show how online poker is over. Maybe poker in general is over. Well, its not over. It's just gone back to the "Rounders" days.

My conclusion is that online / casino poker is now become the new bingo or slots. If you wanna play good poker you gotta go and know Good private games.
"Good" being the KEYWORD.

I am really sad that my favorite game is just a slot machine game now. Since they have prop and shill (sp) players, casinos are not even fun to play in. You can spot these players, AND DEALERS, doing the most obvious mechanic crap and if you call the floor man, they always act like they have no idea what you mean or that its normal.

FYI: when I opened it, It was to watch the videos mainly (I barely played) bc of how much of a WPT fan I was...not am, was. It is just hard to watch when you Know they rig their own site. When I see crazy bad beats on TV now or see Vince and Mike act like it was so crazy that some player they are are rooting for win in some crazy way. It really is like the WWE now. ANYONE could tell would win, won. It seems like they pick and choose who is gonna win on the show. I am truly starting to believe that.

I am happy I got some closure, but sad that is for poker and club wpt. Those "pros" really screwed the game up bad...

you comments on April 12 post on the flush are off base. Simply put the 5 best cards are the hand that wins. Even in both players have an ace high flush the best 5 flush cards win. Similar to both playes having trips and the kicker playing.

as well i can agree with any negative post there has been. all the above exists at this bovada style site. the worst part is that you pay good money to play fake yes fake poker. i have played at many poker sites and have never seen such pathetic play as at wpt. i thought bingo was for a bingo hall. i thought a donkey meant a mule. and there is no thing as a best hand here at wpt. when everything is rigged like it is here it's just a matter of if you're on the house player table. which will be 70% or more of the tables per tourney. they say the built the site from the ground floor up. key word is they not us. it's obvious that wpt feels that any real player playing there has nothing better to do so they can just decide when and how much to screw you but keep you playing and paying. i dont need examples cause any real poker player there has seen them all at one time or another. news flash wpt. all the non legit poker sites get shut down eventually.

The problem with this site is very simple. More then half the site is house players or bought from somewhere else playing there. This makes it very difficult for a real player there to compete. Sure they sometimes let the legit player win some money. That way they keep paying to play there. Free it says huh? Yea i dont think so. Then you get to see how hard it is to cash out anything you have won there. Scam/beware, they will try to get any personal information they can and then sell it somewhere. I was playing there today for most likely the last time and have a preety good idea of quite a few of their house or bought players now. here's a few for ya. Qns4me, cardshark944, chimmey, i love rags, five diamonds. If you watch these players closely they'll give you the clues you need. Heck the cheap phony site didn't want to give the watch away, so they let the shark win it. Probably got a bonus on his or her salary from the site. Well hopefully the feds or state gets wind of this bogus place sometime soon and shuts them down for this collusion realated crap like they have the other poker sites. Shame on you Mikw Sexton if you are a part of this.

Well Im glad to find something like this. After playing on clubwpt for few weeks, here's my thought; stay away from it as fast as you can before you waste not only your money but most importantly your time and the faith in poker. I'm not a pro tournament player, but I have played mid-high stakes poker most of the time and my winning proves that I'm not that bad when it comes to Poker. The reason for me to start playing on clubwpt was to gain the tournament experience and improve my skills. We all have our AA, KK being cracked and your full house is running against high full houses in real life games everyday. I believe these are just part of the game and move on. However, what I don't really understand is that you are going to play against players who call pre flop all-in at the final table with A7 suited and hit the flush on the river, yet the player does it over and over and somehow he or she can see what cards are coming. You will encounter against these types of players and you will see them making donks move and able to chomp down your stack. five diamonds, chimmey, luckelady, tezee, and many others who play like trash and be able to get away with it almost most of the time whenever i'm playing against them. First few days on my trial period, I was able to win some small cash from 20 dollars or 50 dollars tournament without a huge effort; however, after two days I wasn't able to win a single real money. My play style was the same and the funny part is that one of my non experienced poker friend, she just learned the poker, was experience the same thing. She was able to win few small cash tournament in the beginning of her subscription but after few days she wasn't even able to get to the final table on the same game she won the prize with. I'm canceling my membership today, but I really hope this scam website goes down in any way possible.

Club WPT is a membership site that claims "you never will lose money playing poker." That is not entirely true since you pay a monthly fee to play there. And here is my question...if they do not always give away prizes they use to attract players to the site how exactly do you win?

Here is proof - I have been a paying member of Club WPT for nearly 3 years. In that time I have won money, which has strict collection rules associated with it and I have been forced to forfeit substantial sums due to unreasonable technicalities, which I eventually forgave. Next was some very questionable play. I agree that some players do not have any idea how to play poker and they make some very dumb moves that payoff. That is just dumb luck. But then there are players that frequently play low percentage hands in any position that ultimately payoff on their long odds with amazing frequency. Dare I say, like they knew from the start their hand would win... which makes one as the question...could the site have automated players (bots) that play for the site and win back cash and prizes for the "house." And finally here is what happened today (11/29/2015) A major multi-prize tournament was scheduled to begin today at 1 PM PST. As a paying customer you would think I would earn enough points daily to play this event, but I had to spend Saturday evening playing multiple events to earn enough points to enter this event, but I was successful. I entered the event prior to the start and waited. The start time came and went with no message or notification from the site administration. After a long wait I finally gave up and left the event lobby and discovered that tournament lobby had been removed from the site, effectively cancelling the event. Later on I discovered an email in my inbox explaining that the site had refunded my entry points. There was no mention of the event being rescheduled or played at a future date so I went back to watching football.
A couple hours later I noticed my laptop had loaded a poker table for tournament I had not entered and the label on the table window was LAPC Pkg. I am aware of a promotion ClubWPT was running for a live poker event in Los Angeles, but I knew there were no scheduled satellites on Sunday, so I brought up the tournament lobby to get additional information. The tournament was called the Sunday Spectacular which was scheduled to be played earlier at 1 PM PST. It was 3:25 PM PST and there had been no notification or indication on the poker site of any change and the cash and prizes to be awarded had been changed to a relatively small number of points which have no cash value. I went along with it, but it was clear something was wrong. There were long delays, most tables only had 1 or 2 players and once the only player and I at the table we were playing at eliminated the other players at our table our play just stopped FOR MORE THAN A HALF AN HOUR. I sat there and chatted in the chat window with the other player at my table and we concluded that this was just a big meaningless mix up. After a long delay play resumed and by then I had lost interest in playing in this terrible joke for an end of the month contest and basically made a stand with a lousy hand to be taken out. But it gets better, 20 minutes after I closed the Club WPT software I saw a new email from the site in my inbox stating that the Sunday Spectacular had been rescheduled and would start at 3:30 PM. The time stamp on that message was 12 minutes prior to the new start time. No small wonder why less than 25% of the original participants were present for this new time. A complete and utter joke on all participants, and those unfortunate enough to have wasted their weekend on this unprofessional mess.

My advice, don't waste your time and money on this train wreck called ClubWPT. The time and money I wasted on them the past 2+ years I will never get back and would have been better spent doing anything but play there!

Shady. Thank you. Some weird stuff going on recently..like last 30 days. 1). I keep getting knocked out of games in the middle when it say Play Points not allowed. It kicks me out. Says I'm not a VIP player (which I am) and I have to log out and back in. And rejoin my games. Lots of times it gets hung and I have to reload.
2). On Saturday 11/19/2016 I entered the $1500 PLO game. When it started it was really a Texas Holdem no limit game. Couldn't contact anyone. My chat was turned off when I began questioning other players. They were like, right WTF? That's fraud guys. The tournament buyin/payout schedule was based on Omaha rules and it was a different game. It coast me 500 TP to enter and it only payed 10 spots. A normal game at that buy in pays 50 to 80 places.
3). Sunday 11/20/2016 I entered the $2K Texas Holdem Tournament for 1000 TP. At start time..4:02 pm the first hand said it was Hand 30 (actually the first). By 4: 30 pm it said we had played 74 hands..in 30 minutes? No big deal right? Wrong! It means there is a bug on the hand accumulater. If that is wrong what else is wrong? When I was moved to another table the hand counter was right? 3 times on the flop, I saw all five cards hit the table (no turn, no river) but it gave me chance to bet each time. I won all 3 times. I asked other players if they had seen that...they said WHAT? How often does that happen?
4). At the end of the month game for $10K with a 2000 TP entry fee 10/30/2016 I was knocked out for using Player Points..which I didn't. The site shutdown and I had to reboot computer. After several attempts to log back in I finally got back in and I wasn't a VIP player and wouldn't take me to the game. Had to keep trying to login. Several times when WPT.com came up, it was a different site..play points only. Completely different site.

Something happened on or around October 30th, 2016. They put some maintenance on in the middle of the day during a big tournament and they screwed to pooch. Never explained it. Never apologized. Nothing. Very frustrating.

I have noticed the patterns of dead seats and hot seats and which players play bad and hit the river with unexpected odds...time after time.

I have opened a problem report with all these issues. No response what so ever. Eye with caution, a poker site that has no phone contact for support BUT has 3 full time employees to cancel memberships...with their own phone number. :) People get smart to that site and cancel. Which I have done also.
I've been a member and never had a problem with them sending my winnings. Which was a high $75 a month to a normal $20 a month.

I experienced the same thing that day and was refunded the buy-in. I am told they are working on upgrades due to the constant issues associated with the larger events and the VIP status requiring you to log back in after visiting a lobby or other part of the site, during a current game. I hope they do get their site in a more forward direction, because I think the premise of a site like Club WPT is a great one, affordable at home recreation 24/7 with the opportunity for real prizes whether 10.00 or more. Have received multiple small winnings easily and within a month after the pending window. There are so many bad beats that it does get frustrating although it does seem to hit everyone. I myself have played horrible due to either being too tired or personal events in the home and have sucked out. I have also tried playing real poker hands and due to nothing to lose everyone calls and many times the ridiculous does win. I am sure if the same people won the large events, or in the top finishest in the smaller tournaments there would be a huge uproar on social media. WPT's software does need to be upgraded, which they tell me is currently being addressed. I do not think they would risk the backlash by using computer generated players or compensate others. It just doesn't seem like it would be worth the risk. I say look at the site as a inexpensive recreational tool that you can utilize at home 24/7. It is really affordable and you can actually enjoy playing and as a bonus win sometimes-just don't take it seriously. With nothing to lose because there is always another game waiting and your membership fee has paid the entries into them, you will not see premium play as you would at a cash game-duh! Lighten up and think about it. It's like 24.95 a month, 24/7 games and prizes too. I am not immune to the irritation of bad beat and many were hard to take, but I can also recognize the difference in an entertainment site and a cash site. I can rarely afford to lose much, although I love the adrenaline rush of real cash table games, even on-line. I can play whenever and as much as I want at Club WPT and not lose sleep over the games I lose. I would love to see on-line real cash poker legalized in all states, but also enjoy sites like Club WPT for the quantity of play for recreation.

Every time I get involved in a s&g game it seems that they rig the site to have me lose the site. It starts to blink and flash and I can't bet or fold . Then I am an automatic loser. Why is tis happening? I'm thinking of dropping WPT also. Why pay to be cheated!

While I do agree that bad beats seem to happen more often than in a live game also know that I have been on the winning side of those bad beats. I have collected winning many times...usually 2-3 weeks...with no problem. When there were technical difficulties during a tournament and I complained, I was given back my entry and often additional points. But the real benefit of ClubWPT...for me...is the opportunity to play for entry into live tournaments. Sure...this site isn't perfect. But if you live in a state without casinos and want to play for cash where there is some skin in the game, there really aren't many options. So for me the technical assistance has been responsive, I have always received my requested payout in a few weeks and I'm looking forward to the next big tourney.

I'm wondering if this is improving. I have a cash win, but haven't asked for payout yet. I have had some big suck outs when behind. I'm more wondering if players have hacked the software themselves so they can see all table cards. It's just odd. This one player was hitting cards like crazy. This most recent hand I have had. I was on AQoff no clubs. Raise 4BB pre flop. called. ok. Flop is 5c-6d-2c. I bet half pot. Called by one player. Turn is Qc. So, I'm really dominating now. Bet $900 (half pot again). Player shoves. I'm thinking: "Oh, crap. He hit the flush." He'd been fairly loose with other all-ins so figured he's probably bluffing. I call. He's got 8s-4s. I'm completely dominating. Think most players would have folded with only a gut shot. Then he sucks out a 3 on the river for a straight. It's poker. It can happen, but this guy was hitting some suck outs pretty consistently. It was almost like he knew what cards were coming. I've hit some suck outs too, though, so don't think it's 100% fair to say either way yet. Though I beat him pocket 8s vs his pocket 7s, so idk. I also was short stacked and went all in with J-8 off and sucked out a straight against 4 other players that had me beat. Of course I won on the river. ;-) It does seem like some hands do happen statistically a little too often, but... I've only been playing a few weeks there. I at least appreciate that I have a chance to play for $$ and prizes. Though, it may be something where you have to outsmart the robots/cheaters. If I never get close in any tournament, I might look at dropping it, but, until then, I can still get pretty far in most. It beats just playing and getting nothing. Plus it's cheaper thean going to the casino tourneys every day or week, of which I'd spend way more in entry fees. 6 of one, half dozen of another, cube root of 216... IDK, at least I'm playing poker. Cheers! and GL!

I think the little video in the lower right corner of tables is just plain dumb. I don't want it playing while trying to play, I don't care about those playing live tourneys. It's distracting and slows play with the extra data it adds. Seriously, lose that [censored] thing already.

You need better programmers and developers as well as tech crew. Too many glitches. Also, a place on site to contact support would be great and make players feel more connected with WPT instead alone with nothing in settings or account to readily contact support. Just very disappointing with these new changes of adding a video to watch or have it playing where one cant even shut it off, senseless data hogging.

I am SOOO glad I found this site, and now know that my "LUCK" hasn't suddenly gone unbelievably bad! At this point, I'll just say a HUGE THANK YOU to Shady and all that have shared their experiences here. I'm on my 3rd day of my 14 day trial, thinking this would be good practice for a WSOP qualifying event I'm playing in at the end of this month. The beats I have experienced totally defy any "LOGIC" I know of in the 50 years I've been playing. It all makes perfect sense now. I will be cancelling my trial, and hoping I don't have the same problems that others have encountered.

Totally agree...I've witnessed so many "river" wins from weak hands against stronger hands in the short time I've been on the site. Personally the last 7 All-ins I have done, I've been beat 5 times with Runner-Runner by a weaker hand and once with a "River" beat. The odds of runner-runner are around 3%, thus I had a 90%+ advantage on 6 hands and lost Every time...The odds of this are quite low. The most memorable was a final tourney table I had Ah-8h went all in and was called by a 6d-2s the flop produced As-10h-5c, putting me in a great position. The Turn was 3c, the river was 4c, ending my tournament for the 7th time in a row...The issue is who calls a final table all-in when they have more chips then you and they have a 6 / 2. Not sure if there are bots in the cooking or if there is simply an algorithm that always put the low hand with advantages with all-ins. Unbelievable is all I can say

WPT IS TOTALLY RIGGED! I had 4 aces and got slammed by a Royal Flush 2 times in 4 days. What a waste of time and money. The whole point is to keep you rebuying over and over! It’s criminal. It doesn’t take a real poker player to know their being played . I will not support that website ever again. Mind you- I hve 4200, 000 chips left which should be gone within an hour no matter how many flushes and full houses I get

Clubwpt is worse that sites like Zynga. I don't do the monthly subscription so I don't know what would happen if I payed, but I have received a bad beat every time I go all in. It doesn't matter - pre-flop, flop, turn, and river. It's so bad, started charting my cards and found that 173 out of 177 times I was ahead prior to the river only to get beat by a river. Their commercials talk about an all -in fest at other sites. Well they should say if you don't pay, you lose.
