Code.org Disappointing Experience with Code.org: Confusing Instructions and Unoriginal Name

Code.org is a website that I tried to use to help me with coding, but it didn't really help me at all. I had an assignment that required me to add a rule set, but there were no clear instructions on how to do it. I was left feeling confused and frustrated.

Another thing that bothered me about Code.org is the name. It's so unoriginal and doesn't really stand out in any way. I feel like they could have come up with a better name that would have been more memorable and catchy.

Overall, I wouldn't really recommend Code.org to anyone who is looking for help with coding. There are probably better resources out there that are more user-friendly and provide clearer instructions.

Code.org Review of Code.org: Great Resource for Learning to Code, but Needs More Interactivity

I'm currently working on lesson 8 on Code.org and I'm having some trouble with making the food "drag able". The site keeps giving me an error message saying, "Only make the food drag able not your pet try again". I've been trying to fix it for a while now, but it's getting frustrating. I wish the site would fix this bug so that I can move on to the next lesson. It's discouraging when you're trying to learn and you get stuck on one lesson because of a mistake on the site.

Overall, I think Code.org is a great resource for learning how to code. The lessons are easy to follow and the site is user-friendly. However, I do wish there were more interactive activities and games to help reinforce what we're learning. It can get a bit tedious just watching videos and completing exercises.

One thing I really appreciate about Code.org is their commitment to making coding accessible to everyone, especially young children. It's important to expose kids to coding at a young age so that they can develop these skills early on. I also like that they offer resources for teachers to use in the classroom.

In conclusion, while I have had some frustrations with Code.org, I still think it's a valuable resource for learning how to code. I hope they continue to improve and add more interactive activities to make the learning experience more engaging.

Code.org Code.org: Free Resources for Teachers and Casual Coders to Learn Coding

Code.org is a non-profit organization that provides free resources to teachers and casual coders. They started the Hour of Code, which is a program that introduces people to coding through short tutorials and mini-games. Nowadays, coding is much easier to learn, and Code.org has hundreds of resources to help people get interested in it.

This website is not just for beginners, though. They have a ton of online curriculum for teachers of all grades, from kindergarten to high school. The curriculum includes lesson plans, online tools, videos, handouts, offline "unplugged" activities, assessments, progress tracking, and more. Teachers can use these resources to teach coding in their classrooms, and students can use them to learn at their own pace.

One of the best things about Code.org is that they offer free and subsidized training for teachers. This training is really good and can help teachers learn how to teach coding effectively. They also have a community of educators who share ideas and resources, so teachers can learn from each other.

Overall, Code.org is a great resource for anyone who wants to learn coding. It's easy to use, and the resources are high-quality. If you're a teacher, you should definitely check it out. And if you're a casual coder, you'll find plenty of fun and engaging activities to help you learn. So don't miss out on this great website!

Code.org Code.org: The Perfect Free Coding Program for Young Children

Last year, we decided to purchase a Code Combat subscription for my son who is in kindergarten. Although the program was recommended for ages 9+ and 4th grade, my son caught on to coding easily, so I thought it would be a good fit. Unfortunately, it turned out to be too advanced for him as he is still learning how to read fluently. While this was not the fault of the program, I would advise others to try before you buy if your child is below the recommended age.

However, we were left with a coding subscription that we couldn't use and the charter wouldn't cover a second one. That's when we discovered code.org, which was a lifesaver. The best part? It's absolutely free! They offer coding lessons for children as young as 4 years old, and the lessons are incredibly easy to use. They even have lessons aimed at pre-readers, so your child can start coding before they can even read.

I've heard some complaints about the program's use for older kids, but for early elementary students like my son, I think it's perfect. Additionally, code.org offers Hour of Code, which is a one-hour tutorial that includes over 500 lessons in 45 different languages. And did I mention it's free?

Overall, I highly recommend code.org for parents who want to introduce their children to coding at a young age. It's user-friendly, age-appropriate, and did I mention it's free? So, if you're looking for a fun and educational way to get your child interested in coding, give code.org a try!

Code.org is a website that helps people learn how to code. It's a great resource for anyone who wants to learn how to code, whether you're a beginner or an experienced programmer.

However, I had some trouble with the website. I tried to save my progress, but it didn't work. I was frustrated because I had spent a lot of time working on my project, and I didn't want to lose it.

Despite this issue, I still think Code.org is a great resource for learning how to code. The website has a lot of helpful tutorials and resources that can help you learn how to code. Whether you're interested in web development, game development, or any other type of programming, Code.org has something for you.

Overall, I would recommend Code.org to anyone who wants to learn how to code. Just be aware that there may be some issues with saving your progress, so make sure to save your work frequently.
