An extremely uncouth and potentially dangerous CPY patron
There is a fellow yogini by the name of Jaime (Jamie?) Wright who has been in multiple classes I’ve attended recently. I practice mostly at Ward in Honolulu and have been for nearly ten years. She is brand new, but doesn’t seem to be able grasp even common human etiquette, let alone yoga etiquette! She’s disruptive during class, has been heard talking to...
Read full review of CorePower YogaMonthly membership fees
I 'am being charged monthly membership fees and I have NOT signed up ! I took a "drop in" class and paid the $31.00 fee and was charged $179.00 on top of the drop in fee. This has been happening since JULY! I've called, emailed and spoke to the person at the desk each time I "drop in". I specifically make sure to mention its 1 class and to please don't charge me the $179.00. AND,... they do!
I have sent multiple emails and to no resolution. This has happened 4 times already and I've been charged a total of $716.00 from July-Oct. most recent charge. I have given my Amex credit card company a heads up but CPY keeps charging me. PLEASE help.
Desired outcome: Return of money back to my credit card.
CorePower sent me an email two weeks ago to notify me of my subscription becoming active
CorePower sent me an email two weeks ago to notify me of my subscription becoming active. They shared my card would be charged 98.57 if my subscription went active and I had until June 19 to respond with changes to my subscription. I emailed them three times and also completed the online form they had set up to change my subscription from an in-person subscription to an online video subscription. I also called them several times. My issue is that their phone system has been down for over a month and every time I call I get a message saying they can not take calls over the phone but you need to email. So when I email I get no response. And, when I filled out the online form that is meant for changing one's subscription still no response. So after two weeks of this today came and I was charged for a subscription that I do not want and my card was charged 98.57 against my will. I am concerned that this company is charging everyone for full subscriptions--many against their will. The communication systems they have in place seem to foster a false sense of empowerment/control for the customer all while nothing is done and the company can continue to charge one's card. So there is no system in place that works to get your subscription changed--even when you follow their rules.

I had cancelled my membership online after a few weeks of being a member and 3 weeks before the next billing cycle. Have not been to their facility since cancelling my membership online. They are continuing to *** me and were very difficult to receive get a response from.I would like a refund of $131.00 the amount I was charged for July, it is only July 6. I had cancelled my membership in early June.
What haooended was I signed up for the two free weeks and just looked at my account last month and I was charged twice for the all access membership and I was never told in person that they would be charging me and I am seeking a refund I called headquarters to get a refund and their response was not practical the fact that I was never told about any of this information in person and then now I am seeking reimbursement is pretty ridiculous if you ask me Im very upset about how CorePower has done recent business practices and anyone else struggling with the same issue to get their money back because they didnt know about it from signing *** in person thanks so much. I will get a refund or I will be reporting this to my bank to make sure I get my full refund on this purchase. Extremely disappointed in these business practices.
I was in *** Jamboree location on 3/18 to purchase a couple items using a gift card. After charging me mistakenly twice on my credit card Ave a gift card they were supposed to refund my credit card. I followed up with the manager to let her know and after weeks of no action I went through my credit card company to dispute. Another month later they charged my gift card so it had a $0 balance and after repeatedly attempting to have that reversed I never heard back from the manager. After reaching out now in July to the new manager shes telling me they charged my gift card $36.64 but refunded that amount to my credit card in April which they didnt do. Theres nothing on my card since March this year. The professionalism and headache has been ridiculous. They never needed to do anything with the balance on my gift card but created this headache. I will never support this greedy unprofessional business.

I have contacted Core Power Yoga via their website three times regarding "freezing" my membership due to COVID concerns and practicing yoga
I have contacted Core Power Yoga via their website three times regarding "freezing" my membership due to COVID concerns and practicing yoga during this unprecedented pandemic. They have offered freezing my membership as an option for an additional two months only. They have not responded to my multiple requests and do not have a phone number on their website as an option to contact their corporate office. Prior to the pandemic they did have a phone number listed on their website to call for customer service concerns but that number has since been taken down. Their lack of response is concerning, particularly given that their membership is done via auto-pay and I am set to be charged on July 26 for next month's membership. I have been contacting them since the beginning of July and have not received a response. Additionally, it is unlikely that this pandemic will be over in 2 months and members of Core Power Yoga should have the option to freeze their membership until they feel comfortable returning to practice yoga. Cancelling my membership is not desirable because rates have increased since i have joined and membership fees are "grandfathered" in and do not change unless it is cancelled. I would like to return to Core Power Yoga when it is safe to do so, without losing the rate that i have been paying for the past 4 years.
APP is malfunctioning, not showing whether I successfully booked into a class or not. Notifications look something like I am booked into undefined class at undefined location, but nothing shows up in the dashboard. I showed up for the class but was charged three times for no-shows fees for the other classes that I'm not sure if I booked into or not. I was able to get one refund from the instructor I took the class with, but the area manager and customer service refused to provide me refund for the other classes that's caused by their bugs in the app.
Can't contact the merchant to cancel my subscription and they charging me automatically. I tried to have online chat, send an email, contact via phone, and remove my card, but none of them works.
I was first charged for a month of membership after spending over a week trying to freeze my membership due to health reasons in early 2022. I was told that they could not refund my credit card but instead gave me the same amount in "corepower credit" that I have not had access to. I since have received a charge this month for another month of membership that I do not want. I was not informed that my account was going to be unfrozen. This is the second time that I have been charged without warning. I would like a refund for both month's charges, as I have not used the membership since early 2022 due to the above health concerns.
Core Power Yoga studios have been closed since march due to COVID 19 pandemic
Core Power Yoga studios have been closed since march due to COVID 19 pandemic. I have not been receiving emails from CPY for months / years now, even though my email address is correct in my online account. I was not aware that payments had been stopped in March, I found out from a friend. Similarly, I was not aware that payments had re-started. I was charged my regular monthly membership on 5/29 and 7/11. I did not authorize this and do not wish to return to CPY at this time. I have tried for 2 weeks to reach someone-- their phone number has an automated message that states they can't accommodate customer service requests over the phone. I have sent 2 emails with no response. Finally I started commenting on their public facebook posts, and was told by the FB admin to "send a direct message requesting account cancellation." I do not use FB messenger regularly due to privacy concerns. My direct messages are not getting through. I do not understand why a for-profit company is using FB messenger as their only customer service platform! Many, MANY other members are experiencing the same thing. These are shady business practices for a company that touts "wellness." This doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of why they are an unethical company. I have reported the charges to my bank as fraudulent and I want my money back. Also I want them to develop a proper customer service system.

I was charged for a month of Corepower Yoga that I did not want. I froze my membership at the beginning of the year. I was not emailed or reminded that my credit card was being charged. I have health issues that were not resolved by the time Corepower charged my credit card so I was unable to go, also I am not able to use the membership and have moved away from the area. I am requesting a refund of $129 for the month I was charged.
Pre-pandemic, I had an in-person membership to Corepower. I paused it during the pandemic when it was not safe to go to in-person classes. Several months ago, Corepower told me that my temporary pause was over. I requested that it permanently remove my in-person membership valued at ~$149/mo and switch me to the online-only membership valued at ~$19.99/mo. Corepower began charging me for the online membership, but never stopped charging me for the in-person membership. I have been double-charged for months. I have repeatedly tried to contact Corepower to have the in-person membership amount refunded and stopped. I have also requested that they cancel my online membership, as well. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, I repeatedly get the same message: "We've had an unusually high rate of incoming inquiries recently, and our small but mighty team is working hard to support you as effectively and efficiently as possible. If the Bot wasn't able to help you solve your problem, please leave a message here, and we will reply via email as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding!" I always leave a message, and no one ever responds.
I had been signed up for a free two week trial of CorePower yoga
I had been signed up for a free two week trial of CorePower yoga. I decided the studio was not for me so I cancelled within the allotted time frame on their website per their instructions and received confirmation that the cancellation request had been received and that there was no further action required on my part. I was told that I would receive a confirmation email a few days later when the cancellation had been processed. I waited a few days and didn't receive a confirmation, so I went back and went through the process an additional two times before my trial period was up. Each time, it said that my request had been received and that no further action was required on my part. I never heard back, so the day before my card was due to be charged, I reached out to them directly on their contact page to verify that my card would not be charged. I never received a response and my card was charged for the full membership price. I never authorized this charge and did everything in my power to cancel my membership. I have tried calling CorePower, emailing them and using their online submission forms. They are not responding to me at all and I have no idea how to get a hold of them or stop these unauthorized charges. My request is for a full refund and for them to delete my credit card information from their system. They no longer have my permission to charge my card for any reason at any time.

I signed up for the trial and on the same day I tried to see if I can book a course and cancelled it right away to see how it works, and I was still charged a $15 even though I cancelled the booking within just a few minutes. When I was booking or cancelling it did not tell me about the fee. I went ahead to cancel the membership but I was surprised to see that I was charged for a monthly membership $165. I called and they said even if there was an attempt to cancel, if it was not confirmed and I have not received the confirmation email, I cannot cancel my membership fo a refund. It is not like I used their service even for the trial. I NEVER used anything of their online or offline resources. My mistake was signing up for this website and they took $180 just for that.
Upon arriving to the facility for a class on February 22nd, 2022, I started my free trial period in which the employee told me I had 4 weeks to cancel my trial membership prior to being billed a monthly membership fee of $129.00. After looking at my card statement today, I was expecting to have been billed one time close to March 22nd. Not only was I billed $129 two weeks after the 22nd (on March 7), but I was billed another $129 on April 7th, as well. I canceled my membership as of today because money is tight at the moment, but I hope to receive a refund of $258 (both $129 payments) since the employee misinformed me about the trial period length, and I have not attended any classes since my first class on February 22nd. I called the location I went to, and they refused to refund me any payment. I continued to explain my situation regarding the misinformation about the trial period, and they would not budge. I will not be returning to any locations in the future, and I will continue to try to get a refund of some sort.
I canceled my account back in 2019 when the pandemic hit.I didn't make a stink when they charged me the full $149, when they cancelled all services midway through the month, because all businesses were taking a massive hit, understandably. Fast forward.I attended a class in September 2022, with my husband. To where the front desk woman at the Downtown *** location said, they had credited my account with 2 free classes as a kickback for being a valued member at one point in time. I thanked her, happily, and attended the class, that i told was free. Afterward, i confirmed with her that this would NOT be turning my account back on, and she confirmed that it wouldn't, and i went on my way. Upon reviewing our finances for the year or 2021, we've noticed we've been being charged, in full amount of $149 a month, for a membership, since 11/07. I've filed a claim with Corepower, and with my credit card company, as this isn't the first time Corepower has done something like this to my account. It's not ethical what is happening and i'm very dissapointed. Can you please refund for what's been wrongfully charged, and take all my credit cards off your file, since this continues to be an issue for this company.
In November , I attended a free trial at CorePower. Following the loss of my girlfriend, I believed engaging in yoga would be a beneficial step towards healing. Unbeknownst to me, the trial would automatically transition into a paid membership after two weeks. Over the next 7-8 months, I incurred charges totaling $894, without receiving any receipts or notifications of these deductions from my account. There was no 'thank you for your payment' or 'welcome to your membership' correspondence.
I was completely unaware of the membership until I discovered the charges. Upon this realization, I contacted the studio seeking a refund, given that I had not attended a single class. The representative I spoke with expressed sympathy for my circumstances and indicated that a refund would likely be issued due to my non-attendance. However, my refund request was subsequently rejected by the management via email, without any justification or opportunity for me to explain my situation.
The studio has withdrawn funds from someone in mourning without their consent. This only came to my attention when my card was declined while attempting to pay for a dinner with my parents. All I am requesting is a refund for the services that were charged but never utilized.
4 months ago I was excited to sign up and finally try Corepower yoga through a two weeks free promotion
4 months ago I was excited to sign up and finally try Corepower yoga through a two weeks free promotion. After attending two classes and never getting notified, I have now been charged $524 for the following months. This was not communicated to me that I was going to be on this membership by any employee or company messenger. This should have been communicated to me more clearly than in the fine print when they signed me up for the "Free" two weeks. After the initial sign-up, I received no confirmation of this recurring membership. I also did not attend one class during the period of this membership. I got no notice in my email of these charges, they were unauthorized. I have already contacted customer service and I was told that "it is our expectation that our customers check their bank statements in place of a receipt", and they were very firm in their decision to only apply the refund to my core power account to spend at core power. I think a receipt or at least an email confirmation should be expected from a company that prides itself on a humanitarian lifestyle. I know the possibility of refunding my debit card exists and this decision is hinged on policy but can be overridden. I am in a time of financial hardship and their lack of transparency and their little to no attention to addressing this matter is really disrespectful. I would really appreciate having this money refunded, as the service was not completed.

Hi, I went to CoreYoga a couple of weeks ago
Hi, I went to CoreYoga a couple of weeks ago. They have parking validation at the parking *** got my validation coupon and went to the machine to pay for my parking. The machine said there was an error and it did not work. After a couple of attempts, I tried to just pay at the exit of the parking *** inserted my credit card, validation coupon and parking ticket at the exit. It looked like it went through, but the gate pole did not go up and let me out of the parking *** went to the security desk to look for security, there was no one there. I clicked on the help button on the exit and no one came. I then inserted my credit card, validation coupon and parking ticket at third time. This time the gate finally opened and let me out. The next day, I saw I was charged three times for parking $2.75 three times. I called Corporate CoreYoga, called the local CoreYoga and sent an email through their website to try to fix it. I ended up having to dispute the transactions with the bank. However, I was also not given the $1.50 dollar price for parking, so the validation coupon did not work. I have tried to talk to CoreYoga about this. Esme responded and basically blamed me and said they did not make an error. I was charged almost nine dollars for parking and was not even charged the correct amount. At this point I would like my *** returned or I again have to dispute the last charge with the bank. Useless costumer service.

CorePower studios have been closed during the COVID-19 pandemic
CorePower studios have been closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. My monthly membership was frozen back in March. CorePower told its members the following: "All monthly memberships remain frozen while studios are closed. As studios reopen in your city, keep an eye on your inbox. We'll reach out with details and key dates to keep you in the know." I received various marketing emails from CorePower over the spring during my membership freeze. Then, on June 19th, unbeknownst to me, CorePower reactivated my frozen monthly membership and withdrew money from my bank account. At no time before, on, or after June 19 did CorePower email me to inform me that Boulder-area studios were re-opening and that my membership was going to be reactivated. If I had known this happening, I would have opted to keep my membership frozen since I do not feel safe going to a yoga studio during a global pandemic. It's extremely troubling to me that CorePower felt comfortable taking my money despite failing to properly notify me that this reopening/reactivation was going to happen. I contacted them over a week ago via email about my issue but have yet to hear from them. I feet extremely taken advantage of by CorePower's actions and wonder how many people that were also not notified about studio re-openings who may have not noticed that their cards have been charged (and consequently, how much $$$ CorePower stands to make by engaging in this behavior).

I signed up for a free 2-week trial for Corepower Yoga and give them my credit card info on file
I signed up for a free 2-week trial for Corepower Yoga and give them my credit card info on file. Yesterday, after my last class, I asked the center staff what are my options after free trial. They told me I can sign up the membership in the future or do drop-in class for $32 per class. I said sure, I will think about it and come back in the future. This morning, when I checked my credit card account, I found I was charged for $199 membership fee by CorePower Yoga. Before or after the charge, I have not received any email or text message about the Membership fee of $199. I immediately called CorePower Yoga customer service and told them I didn't plan to sign up the membership right now because I am gonna be busy and I need to pay an extremely important *** tomorrow by my credit card so I need that credit (yes I am not a wealthy person and that *** is due tomorrow). They refused to refund me money said I agreed to sign up the membership fee because they have some bold letters. I said I did not remember there is any bold letters and I really need that credit to pay a *** tomorrow, since I was just charged and I did not signup or take any class, can you cancel my membership and refund me the $199? I even begged them and they just ruthless refused me again. So I have to dispute this transaction with my bank and never go back to CorePower Yoga again. And I will post my experience on *** yelp to warn the other customers about their scam.

Several years ago I had an unlimited membership with Corepower Yoga
Several years ago I had an unlimited membership with Corepower Yoga. I am unsure of the exact date that I cancelled the membership, but I believe it was towards the end of 2019. I had a very difficult time getting in touch with someone to cancel my membership, but was eventually successful. In March, I purchased a 10-class pack of classes- this was a one-time purchase. I have records in my Corepower account that I still have 8 classes remaining- I only attended two classes. I just discovered that Corepower has been charging me a monthly fee of $111.20 since March. I never signed up for another membership, I never signed any documents to agree to this. I had not been checking my account because I was completely unaware that these charges would be made. I have called the help desk numerous times during the designated business hours and every time I reach a recording saying the office is closed. Online, it says to refer to your Corepower account to freeze or cancel memberships, however there is no record of a membership on my account. The only thing that shows up on my account are the remaining 8 classes I have available from the class-pack I purchased. I have never experienced such horrendous customer service. I had to contact my credit card company to file a "stop payment" request because I could not get in touch with Corepower despite many attempts. My credit card company has filed a fraudulent charges case against Corepower but they were only able to submit a claim for the last four months. I have been charged fraudulently for the past 15 months. Corepower should be held responsible for reimbursing me the remaining $1,223.20 that I am owed.

When Core Power announced they were closing due to COVID-19, they gave people the opportunity to put their membership on hold
When Core Power announced they were closing due to COVID-19, they gave people the opportunity to put their membership on hold. The primary issue is that their phone lines are not open so they are doing everything digitally. I completed the online form and followed all of the instructions to put my membership on hold. I was still charged $187.06 after my request two weeks after my request was submitted. I sent an email request asking them to officially cancel my membership and to reimburse the $187.06 back to my card because I was not given the services promised considering the studios are CLOSED. They responded with the following email: Hello ***, Thank you for contacting us. Your Membership has been cancelled, effective today, and your next month charge (5/24) will be zero, so you can continue to practice with us once we open for free for the month. Please keep in mind that, should you return to membership at a later date, you would be subject to the current rate of membership, as previous rates cannot be recovered. Thank you for being part of our community. We look forward to seeing you in the studio again soon. Best wishes for health and happiness! Instead of reimbursing my money, they offered a "free month of yoga" online which is nowhere near what I would be receiving for $187.06 of in class amenities and I was charged AFTER I requested to put my membership on freeze. Their phone lines are not taking any calls so I can't talk to anyone on the phone about the issue. I need a reimbursement back to my debit card. I am a teacher. I have student loan debt. They are a huge corporation. I am begging them to give me my money back for the month I was charged.

Dear Corepower Yoga Team, I have tried reaching out more than 10 times now to resolve this issue only after I waited on hold for over 50 minutes
Dear Corepower Yoga Team, I have tried reaching out more than 10 times now to resolve this issue only after I waited on hold for over 50 minutes, finally talked to somebody and she said that she resolved the issue and I was all set. On November 24th, I called and waited on hold to ensure that my card would not be charged for the $149 membership since I was unable to cancel through my account (it wouldn't let me cancel or freeze through my portal- not sure why). After I waited on the abovementioned hold, I finally was able to talk to a customer service representative who was very helpful and ensured me that she had removed my card and that I would not be charged again in the future. Alas, here I am- charged and unable to get ahold of anybody now. Here are the ways that I have tried contacting somebody since November 24th: - Emailing (I sent an email over a week ago) - Calling *** - It goes through an automated message, tells me I'm on hold and after 2 minutes, it says "Goodbye" and disconnects me - Calling *** - Again, it goes through an automated message and tells me I'm on hold before saying "Goodbye" and disconnecting - Tried chatting in but half the time, chat is not available and it's not a real person so I cannot get my issue resolved - Tried going to the location in which I went to two classes in the past and was not able to chat with anybody - Tried calling the location in which I had my two classes and the call gets routed to corporate and again, I get disconnected It is next to impossible to get ahold of anybody to resolve this issue despite the amount of time I have put in to try to get this handled. Can *SOMEBODYplease get back to me to help me with this?

Hi there, I sent in two customer service requests through the online forum on 9/4 and have yet to receive any concrete resolution to either in the month since. I have also left messages at the North Raleigh and Cameron Village locations here in North Carolina seeking some form of assistance, and no one has gotten back to me. Prior to COVID-19, I had made the decision to temporarily freeze my account. I had called to freeze it a few days after my membership renewal date, so the representative I worked with set it up so that the membership fee I had been charged (but not used yet) would apply to my next month of yoga. Now that the pandemic has stretched that freeze out, and studios are just now re-opening, I am worried that resolution has been lost in translation. I submitted a form about this issue on 9/4, separately from the membership cancellation request, and have yet to hear back. When I heard that studios would be opening again, I made the decision to cancel my membership because I did not feel comfortable resuming classes at this point. I filled out the form online, and received an email outlining that (1) it would take UP TO 7 DAYS to process this request, and (2) I would receive another email when the request has been completed. It has been a month and I have yet to receive a confirmation message, and I am still being charged for the membership. Overall, it is incredibly disappointing that you no longer offer any customer service over the phone. Especially with everything going on, to expect your customers to wait an unknown amount of time to resolve billing issues is irresponsible. Not everyone can afford to be charged and extraneous $89+ every month until you guys 'get around to it'. I hope you will improve this process in the future.

On 4/18 I visited a studio where the instructor recommended a two-week free promotion
On 4/18 I visited a studio where, upon payment, the instructor recommended a two-week free promotion. My interest was in a single class, yet she prompted me to register. After not returning, I found a charge of $130.94 on my credit card. The receipt failed to mention any charge or actions needed to prevent future charges. I contacted the studio and left a voicemail, expecting a callback within a day. No response led me to reach out to the corporate office. They informed me they couldn't assist due to the studio's franchise status but would notify the manager to contact me. Receiving no reply, I left additional messages and contacted corporate again. They promised to message the manager and alert their franchise representative. Still, the manager remained unresponsive. The corporate representative informed me that I had signed a waiver, thus disqualifying me from a refund. I had no knowledge of such a waiver, nor had I received a copy. At no point did any representative or receipt indicate a potential future charge. Moreover, I never authorized any charge to my credit card. I question why employees fail to inform about cancellation requirements or note it on receipts. This lack of communication seems designed to exploit customers. A manager who ignores customer calls is a poor representative of a company that values wellness and peace of mind. If aware of potential charges for unused services, I would have canceled the 'free membership' I was unaware I possessed. Being dismissed with 'you signed a waiver' is unacceptable and tarnishes the company's reputation. This tactic appears to be a sly revenue stream that warrants reconsideration in an era that values transparency. My attempts to resolve this matter have been met with indifference, demonstrating a disregard for customer concerns during challenging times.

I have been trying to cancel my membership to CorePower Yoga on Demand for a week, and have not received a response to multiple emails and phone calls. The instructions say I should be able to simply click a button to cancel. However, those options do not appear. Rather, it says "To manage your subscription settings, please email ***." This seems fishy to begin with. The company makes it seem as if it is easy to cancel your account, when in fact, you cannot simply do so by clicking a button online. It gets worse from here. I have emailed the *** address three times over the past week, requesting that they cancel my account as soon as possible, and I have not gotten a reply at all. I have also called the only listed number for CorePower Yoga, and left a voice mail with my cell phone number. No one called me back. Additionally, I accessed the chat feature on the main CorePower website (which is separate from "On Demand") and selected the option to "cancel/freeze my membership." I was directed to a form to fill out, which required me to select a studio. I selected the studio closest to my house, and actually received a response from a real person. She emailed me almost immediately saying she could not cancel my membership because it is a corporate membership. She provided me the *** email address, as well as a customer service email address (***). She also sent me the link to the cancel/freeze form online, which was the same form I already filled out that is actually apparently only useful for canceling in-person, studio memberships. So I emailed ***, and got no response. At this point, I am totally disgusted with the complete lack of response. Am I supposed to fly to Denver and show up in person to get CorePower to stop charging my credit card? This is a scam, and I will be telling everyone I know. WARNING TO OTHER CONSUMERS: NEVER SIGN UP FOR COREPOWER YOGA ON DEMAND.

On August 24, my teenage daughter attended a drop-in yoga class at CorePower Yoga North Boulder
On August 24, my teenage daughter attended a drop-in yoga class at CorePower Yoga North Boulder. Upon entering into the studio, the sales representative at the front desk tried to sell us the monthly membership. We declined as we did not have plans to attend the classes on an ongoing basis, and the location was inconvenient for us. I paid the charge of $22.00 with my credit card and did not give it much thought afterwards. In September, my daughter was admitted to the Children's Hospital in Denver for 3 months. Life was stressful and out of order. In January she was discharged and we tried to get her schooling back on track. Subsequently, COVID took over everyone's daily routine. I use this specific credit card for my incidental ongoing spending, and had it set up as automatic payment. I have never had issues with any fraudulent charges previously. Therefore, I usually only glance over the total charges for each month. Not until October did I log into my account for a quick review. Upon logging in, I immediately noticed a $99 membership charge from North Boulder CorePower Yoga studio for the month of September. I was very surprised as I know that we have not visited CorePower for a long time. I began to look over the previous months, and tracked it back to August. On the same day that my daughter attended that one-time class, CorePower processed two charges: one for the $22 class and one for a $89 membership fee. It then began a monthly charge of $99 for the membership in the following month. During this entire period of time, I never received any statement nor notice from CorePower regarding these monthly charges. And during this period of time, my daughter had not used their studio, not even once (aside from the one time class on 8/24)! The total unauthorized charges amounted to $1,376 from the combined months thereafter. I immediately called their North Boulder Studio. However due to COVID, they are not handling any customer calls through phone, instead providing an email address for any customer inquires. I emailed them on the same day. To stop the future charges, I also followed the directions on their website and requested a cancellation of the account on the same day. CorePower customer service get back with me 5 days later and stated that my daughter had attended classed 8 times, and since I never requested a freeze of account or cancellation, they cannot refund the charges back to my credit card. I further requested for them to produce the document that proved that I had consented to monthly charges, as well as the time/location that my daughter attended classes. They could not produce any document (of course), and pulled the record as far back as January through August for the 8 instances of her attendance at their Broomfield and Westminster locations (which are nearby our home). Each of these times, we had paid individually and all events were prior to the North Boulder studio incident. CorePower then offered a gift card or in store credit for the erroneous charges, which I rejected. Given the fraudulent charges and mistrust that they have fostered, I no longer wish to spend any money with them, nor have faith in their credibility. I am seeking assistance for a full report of the fraudulent charges of $1,376.
