Cupid Media Pty Ltd review: Thieves stealing personal information. Stay away.

Cupid Media Pty is the parent company of many scam "dating" sites filled with fake profiles created by the company itself, with shady ToS and practices.

Late one night I created an account on one of their sites, filled my profile with the basic questionnaire they were asking (age, weight, height, education, etc), upload a picture showing only my head/face, verified my email, and just logged off and went to bed. That's it; I didn't do anything else. The next morning I kept getting email notifications (5-10 total) from their website of supposedly "users" who had "sent" me "messages" (sure...). Fast forward another 12 hours. I tried to log back in for the first time since the time I had created my account. To my dismay, I was greeted with the message: "Account suspended".

...wait what?! Suspended?

The "account suspended" window was demanding a picture of drivers license or passport(!) to verify that I am not a fake account.

Fine. I bit my tongue and just uploaded a picture of my drivers license after redacting sensitive information to show that, yes, I'm real and that is my account and yes, that is my picture, and yes I do live in the stated city. The window displayed a message saying that they'll "review" and get back to me within 48 hours. 48 hours... just to look at a picture. I waited 48 hours during the work week. Nothing happened. I tried to log back in after 48 hours and was greeted with "account permanently terminated".

They are thieves and crooks using a site to steal users' personal information.
