Dietz Fence Company, I am wondering how do you guys live with yourselves in the mirror after taking hard earned money
Dietz Fence Company, I am wondering how do you guys live with yourselves in the mirror after taking hard earned money from so many people. It is shameful. I will write a negative review everyday until my money is refunded. $1,000.00
I wouldn't give them any stars!
I wouldn't give them any stars! No communication, the only thing you see is a social media post .. who looks to social media for answers? No call backs, no nothing. Take your money and never hear from them. Horrible service.
Do not call this company
Do not call this company. Very unreliable. I called last week and made an appointment. They texted me the day of my appointment to remind me they were coming out. Never gave me a window of time. 2:10 comes around with no one coming. Call them, no answer. Call later someone answers, takes all my info and says she will call me right back with when they will be here. No call back. 1 hour call again. No answer. No show. If they don't want to do fences they should not make appointments. Very unprofessional. Very unreliable. I wasted a whole day waiting for nothing. No text, no phone call. Would make sure to tell everyone to not use them.
I had my driveway gate replaced in February
I had my driveway gate replaced in February . The gate didn't Close. The posts weren't put in properly so they cannot hold the weight of the gate. I have made several calls and sent emails. They came out in March, tried to adjust the gate and I received a call saying that's the best they can do. I continued to contact them, I was put on the repair list several times. They came out again this week and put brackets on the post to the brick wall. The gate still doesn't close. Eventually the weight of the gate is going to pull it down, it wobbles because there's no support. This is ridiculous! I spent a lot on the gate, and I just want it to function properly.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!I I WISH I HAD READ THESE REVIEWS FIRST. I have also been given the runaround by Dietz Fence Company. I paid an extra $500 for a rush job that of course never happened. I now no longer need the fence. I explained to her that my situation was urgent. I am living temporarily with my parents who do not have a fence. We needed a fence in order to keep my two dogs comfortable while we bought a house in [location]. We have had to make other arrangements to accommodate the situation. My poor dogs! It has been incredibly stressful on everyone. I am now closing on a new house and have already contracted a new fence company that is TRULY professional. We got screwed out of $2100. I filed a dispute with my bank who told me its unlikely they are able to do anything because it is a merchant dispute and not fraud though it feels like THIEFT and obviously the merchant is not cooperating. Dietz Fence Company hired an attorney who has sent a courtesy notice before we start legal action. I have been 36 days in the lurch in a terrible situation, all because Dietz Fence Company promised me that she would get me a fence within a two weeks of 9/13/22 which wouldve made this situation an absolute joy. I would have never agreed to this contract if I hadnt been promised the short turnaround date. I paid the extra $500 rush fee! I feel like all that was done was my deposit was stolen and Ive gotten nothing but excuses from her. I had one conversation with her where she begged me to hang in there and that she would of course get my job done understanding how important it was. ***. ***. She now does not answer texts or phone calls and I have been left not only with egg on my face. ?I am FURIOUS.
Dear Average Home Owners, If you value your home, patience, and money I recommend you do not utilize Dietz Fencing
Dear Average Home Owners,
If you value your home, patience, and money I recommend you do not utilize Dietz Fencing Company. We have signed our contract on April 2nd, 2022, we were told we would receive our fence within ten weeks of the down payment, and installation would be completed within this time frame. After reviewing several companies and comparing prices, we signed on the dotted line due to the outstanding price we were quoted and were obligated at this time to pay half of the cost of the fence upfront. Well, we all know the saying: "When things sound too good to be true, they usually are." We have expressed patience throughout the process but have reached our breaking point. Dietz Fencing Company is full of many excuses, mainly "We have switched manufacturers and there have been delays." Now, we can all appreciate we are living in a new world post-COVID; however, if you go back to past reviews from over a year ago, it's the same excuse. We could also appreciate delays and shipment restrictions; however, we, as paying customers, should be respectfully informed. Instead, the entire family dodges phone calls, places blame, or shows utter disregard for their customers. The last and final breaking point was when we found out they allegedly bribe people to remove bad reviews, which would have heavily weighed our decision. For instance, our neighbors signed their contract a month after us, they posted poor reviews and blasted the company on ***. Their yard is significantly larger than ours, they have ordered the same material fencing as ours, and because of their public complaints, they received their fence and had their installation before *** just requested they remove their postings due to her completing the job. We are now on week 22 and are still without a fence. We are told now September 3rd; however, previously we have texted *** and she would give an end date and not follow through!
Horribly unprofessional, save yourself a tremendous headache and court battle by not even considering these people
Horribly unprofessional, save yourself a tremendous headache and court battle by not even considering these people. They are all rainbows and sunshine until they get your deposit. Keep in mind they will provide one of the lowest prices to entice you. If you make that mistake they will not respond for months, fail to show up time after time after time when they promised, lie, make excuse after excuse, and essentially try to abscond with your deposit hoping that fighting for the deposit will be too intimidating and that you will give up.4 months of delays, lies, nonresponsive. Excuses about literally everything under the sun, they are so low they have no problem attempting to gain sympathy and hope you forget about deadlines by disgracefully lying about family member after family member having medical issues. Their game is to continue to string you along and string you along but to provide nothing in return. They are a scam and need to be called out for it.How about "guaranteeing" that they can tie into any neighbor's fence and the same is protected by law. Nope. Our neighbor had a recessed fence, which we pointed out to them, and they still maintained this lie. Thank goodness our neighbors are exceptional and agreed to an easement so that we did not improperly acquire a foot of their property or alternatively have them tear down a portion of any potential fence. However, Dietz assured us that no survey or easement would be required...yet thousands of dollars spent on surveys and attorneys later and Dietz claims confusion and tries to act surprised. They have yet to send dated purchase orders from their supplier proving that they actually did anything whatsoever. They will claim in response to reviews that "funds were released" when in actuality they were not. Further they have completely refused to respond to any call and/or message with regards to terminating our relationship and providing a refund of the deposit paid.Stated differently they are a blight.
the manufacturer and that we should expect it soon
the manufacturer and that we should expect it soon. However, it has been two months since our original install date and we still have not received any updates or a confirmed install date. We are extremely frustrated with Dietz Fence Company and their lack of communication and professionalism. We are considering taking legal action to get our money back and involving the county in this matter. We regret choosing Dietz and would not recommend them to anyone.
Dietz Fence Company owns Dietz Family Fence (previously owned by her dad- name redacted)
Dietz Fence Company owns Dietz Family Fence (previously owned by her dad- name redacted). Recently, countless reports of paying customers detailing their experiences are surfacing all over the internet regarding both of these businesses. The owner appears to be attempting to avoid the massive amount of backlash by simply erasing anything online relative to Dietz while continuing business as Family Fence. Several customers have had to file suit against both entities, the owner has referred to Family Fence publicly as dishonorable yet owns it- she has also acknowledged several times in a written statement as well that her dad stole our money, and she even takes credit for getting our funds back to us; which we still have NEVER gotten back.. even though she owns the business! Also- she owned it at the time we were robbed as well, so only she could have denied our dispute (which is being investigated) at which point she knowingly had us sign a second contract thru Dietz, took MORE of our money. Did a sham job. Then cost us thousands in property damage/repairs/stolen material & several wasted months. If she would stop deleting countless reviews people wouldn't be so outraged if they were able to tell their experiences which are not to be contested; every word I've spoken here I've proven several times & will do the same in court. WHY is Dietz still accredited with the ComplaintsBoard.com? This experience has made me question the integrity of Dietz & the ComplaintsBoard.com, I know of over a dozen individuals w/ provable experiences of fraud, theft, mistreatment, unprofessionalism, building code violations that reported to ComplaintsBoard.com/filed suit this season alone. The total number over the years must be enormous. A vigilant investigation should be launched into both entities, & more specifically, the owner after the harassing/intimidating/threatening manner in which she has targeted several customers for speaking out publicly. Those antics won't work on us, we'll continue within our right to warn others.
Super disappointing
Super disappointing. I read several good reviews and wanted to give them a try. I called the week before the 4th of July to set up an appointment for the next week. However, on my appointment day, no one showed up. When I called to find out what happened, my appointment wasn't even on the books. I spoke with Laura, who assured me they would call first thing to next morning to reschedule. 2 days later, and I still haven't heard from them.
Very unprofessional
Very unprofessional. The owner severed my underground dog fence line while trying to locate property markers. They were told about the underground wire, but they pretty much disregarded this info. He never even told us he severed it until I questioned him, because my alarm was going off in the garage. He tried to repair it but was unsuccessful. I was told by Laura that he would come back out the next day but he never showed up. I talked to Laura again and she assured me it would be repaired. Two more no shows on dates he was supposed to come out. I've called and left messages but no reply's or call back.
All in all, we did not have a good experience with Dietz Fence
All in all, we did not have a good experience with Dietz Fence. While I do not have an axe to grind, I do feel the need to share my experience so you can make an informed decision about this company. Here are the Pros and Cons about our experience: Pros: A competitive price and, at least, an attempt to fix the problems with the new fence Cons: Well, where do I start? First-time Quality—in other words, doing the job right the first time. It does no one good for the contractor to come back to the job site and fix problems. It should be done right the first time. At first, they left a gap in the corner or the fence, as well as the gate, which apparently wasn't square. Also, there was an old post that they cut down, but left as a trip hazard. There was also an old bush that we cut down just beforehand, but still had a little stump left. Instead of removing the stump, or even asking what we wanted to do with it, they cut a hole in the new fence and didn't even talk to us about it. . Beyond tacky and unprofessional. Poor quality fence paneling—We ordered 6 foot pine fence panels. While we understood that they might not be perfect, we did not expect the horizontal supports to be so chewed up. My wife is livid. She hates the fence and I can't blame her. When I pointed out the defects in the wood to one of the owners, he said that this was one of the best shipments they have gotten in, implying that we're stuck with what we got. Thanks a lot. Had I know the quality would be so poor, I would have gone with another option—and in retrospect, with another company. Horrible communication—It was like pulling teeth to get them to call me back with a tentative installation date. We have a busy summer and I wanted to be here for the installation. Besides, we had a little prep work to do ourselves. All I wanted was a phone call to discuss the possible timing of the fence. Don't get me wrong, they did call, but often not when they said they would and even then, they still didn't have my paperwork handy to give me an educated guess. For example, I called Laura on a Friday, hoping to discuss the issue. To her credit, she called me back and told me that she was on the road and would definitely call me when she was in later that night. Did she call? Well, she butt dialed me the following day. Yeah...great customer service. There were other communication problems as well—that bush stump, for instance. Why would you just assume that your client would want a hole in the fence to accommodate a bush stump? I ripped it out the next day myself so you could fix the fence that you messed up. (And btw, when you replaced those boards, you didn't reconnect it to the fence post. Don't worry; I'll fix it myself.) When I expressed concern about the stability of the fence, and told you that I had pushed a little on the fence and noticed how much it was wobbling, you had said that I should not do that. You said that it could break a seal down at the bottom of the poles below the ground. Well, it would've been nice to know that when you finished the fence and not later. Would it have been so difficult for you to give some communication as to what to expect in the fencing process, what to expect with the fence materials, what to expect after the fence has been installed, and how to maintain it. Honestly, you should have a brochure or pamphlet or frequently asked questions on your website. You are the experts on this topic and you should be communicating this information to your clients so they can make an informed decision. Anyway, there were other issues, but I've spent enough time on this already. Because of all of this, I cannot recommend them. We would have happily spent more money to get a good job done well—with someone else.

Dietz Fence offered a workmanship warranty at the time of installation (March )
Dietz Fence offered a workmanship warranty at the time of installation (March ). Since that time I have called and spoke with the owner many times to come back to repair a sagging gate post which was not installed properly. Owner made many promises to come back to repair and did send someone who did not reset the post as instructed. It has been 6 months since I've been asking for them to come do the repair correctly and they continue to promise they will come, but they haven't done so.
My husband and I signed a contract with Dietz Fence on August 25th and paid a deposit of $4,790 on September 7th
My husband and I signed a contract with Dietz Fence on August 25th and paid a deposit of $4,790 on September 7th. We established an install date of November 1st with L Dietz. Since then that date has passed, and we have received minimal communication from L, and no communication for the past week. Both my husband and I have reached out via calls, texts, and Facebook messages multiple times with no response. We are afraid we are being scammed, and just want our fence to be installed.
