direct express locked my card called customer service i was pt on hold for 3 hours next day i tried again 31/2 hours later still have not talked to a person now i have to pay 100. dollars in late fees because direct express refuse to answer the phone and help any one,. customer service there is none and disabled and seniors pay a heave price for direct express hate foe customer [protected]

social security debit card fraud complaint
On 9/1 a company took $382+ from my direct express debit card without permission. We had not done business with that company for over 10 months and had cancelled our contract. On 9/1 they decided to take a lump sum out of my account without notification. This has been over 3 weeks of complaints with Direct Express and Social Security. no updates as of today. Really? As backup this particular company who took the money has over 5000 complaints with the Better Business Bureau for taking money out of peoples accounts after cancelling services. Why on earth would Social Security do business with Direct Express when they won't do anything about it. I am 99 years old and living solely on social security and to have a chunk of money like that out of my account leaves me with nothing. And no one on their end will help. "they have millions of complaints they are working on" is what one representative told me. So that means it is ok? I say if they have millions of complaints SSA should not be doing business with them. How can the government let this happen to the weakest population with no help?

Direct express
The following has been charged to my debit card with Direct Express without my permission. I cannot get cooperation with the company since the number is a circle call number with no positive results. I have notified the Mygamemix.com the following. 9/4/23 Charge of 39.74 ([protected] and 8/5/2023 at 39.74 ([protected]) were charged to my direct express card without authorization. This will be reported as fraudulent charges should your company fail to stop the charges and reimburse me with a total of $79.48. Thank you, Clarence Ballard @ [protected].

I have been having trouble with the direct express Comerica bank since beginning of Aug 2023.I get fixed income and when I noticed I lost money somewhere I called them made a transaction on the missing money I had the money for my bills out and I had enough to pay bills and get whet I need for myself.the last thing I had to do after paying a bill cause I had the money I went to ATM and behold insufficient funds the amount I want.so I check on my phone and had only 100 out of a fixed income.so they blocked told me this person in a different city spent454 at dollar tree. I made a dispute and I talked to a advocey for direct express they told me the money would be back on my card on my new one that they shipped the 454 but I never received it not to mention 161 dollars I got that money back but I M STILL WAITING for another dispute I did was for another ATM for 185. But I got my monthly bank statement saying they credit me 454 which I never saw cause with my fixed income and the transaction I did don't add up plus now they said I had way more than my fixed income which totally don't make sense to me

I have been on SSI for less than a year .I end up with 0 balance before half the month is over ? I do take advantage of online purchases since I do not drive .But that does not give permission for every company to follow suit .every time I turn around .I have a payee so when I do call they go through him then talk to me make sure addresses are all same name last four of ss.c.butvthen I have thousands of dollar worth of charges on my card literly I can not make phone calls I can't pay rent due to direct express giving every one under the sun to take what they want .they can even change their names and come back and charge no questions asked .but when we bring this to ther attention they come back with we investigated and ther is prove that ther ligit no one else would not the things they did to atjini ate and that's it they put back the charges and now I'm in dept minus plus some and companies are not happy has effected my credit I am 2min from being homeless due to this .ther is something not wright plus they abbreviate on your statement so you have a heck of a time figuring out what's what .ya change banks but i don't have money to open a bank and what about the thousands im out .done not seem fair the only way you can realky do business with out driving is online .and if you can't trusy the bank to help the crippled or older peaple struggling on what tje state give tjem well let me just say tjat is why ther is so much homeliness in the world .no one cares inkess it gives them something to complain about so why would banks businesses take advantage of those less fortunate we here on earth let them .so i will sit bills tp be paid food on table we ith zero dallirs to my name and mu bank saying that all my ssi money was ligit puchases .soooo wrong dont even know what to do .

I am complaining about direct Express will not process my claims for people fraudulently taking money off my direct Express card I've sending all this paperwork when people illegally took my money I'm on the streets homeless and they won't give me my money back on my claims they say I have to wait up to 90 days when people have compromised my account me being on social security and on the streets I need my money back immediately when I call them I'm on the phone for hours I mean my money
Lost card and refusal to allow my DX cards to process in the SSI system so that I can discontinue getting paper checks
I was signed up for the Direct express card many months ago by an unknown SSI employee in which I never recieved that particular card. I had no idea that a card was ordered for me untill according to SSI rules, I either had to have a bank account or use the this direct Express card to be in compliance with SSI rules, so I called the treasurer department by way the number provided by SSI this is when I was told that a card was already sent to the SSI Admin prior to my calling two weeks before. This is the card I never at any time received nor have I been able to find out where that card went or who it was sent too. This was starting middle March 2023 early February 2023. When I showed in person at the SSI admin in Downtown Portland Oregon on Yamhill St. the employee got highly upset with me when I requested her to assist me in finding out who ordered this card and who did it get mailed to... to no convey. Since that loss of this first card not only haven't any of the replacement cards numbers matched when calling the direct Express number, but as well SSI have been telling me that I can't use any of these cards, this has been ongoing since middle March 2023 till this time and day., because a direct Express card hasn't stop processing in their system. I've been having some problems with the bank I was banking with such being they couldn't cash my whole check they say until it cleared the next business day, that they can only give me a portion of my SSI benefit check and must obtain the rest of my funds the next business day, so I don't have a bank anymore. I have been opting to use this card but have been unable since March 2023 until the present. I'm still getting paper checks out of compliance with SSI rules because as I'm told by SSI employees the bank that backs these cards is not allowing any of those cards that I receive from DX to process. Because of this ongoing issue your unprofessional behavior has been the sole cause of my being in non-compliance with SSI rules and would be the only cause for me to lose my SSI benefits. Your bank is causing me extreme hardships, depression, and many other mental and emotional harm due to constantly being on the verge daily of losing my SSI/SSDI benefits. Due to no cause of my own. At any time, of losing my well needed benefits. I or anyone else haven't been able to solve this serious issue. I'm almost certain that my 5 years back pay was not calculated correctly as well but not your problem.

Employee poor service and theft on my card
On 06/16/2023 I filed a fraud complaint against a company that had charges on my direct express card. This is the Third fraud in 6 months. I am a 73 yr. old senior I don't buy things I don't need. This was from a sex store they said was in California. It was not it was a group from Panama. I got a letter, and it said write a statement and return within a date of 10 days. Very hard to do, the letter was received 2 days past that time! I now received a letter stating they believe the charge is mine and their investigation proves that. I live in Florida and will not travel that far to spend $39.99. Now I call and get a very rude person that yells very loud and transfers me to a number that will not answer. I want the documents showing that I made the charge. I live in Florida and have now turned it over to the State/Federal agency for Seniors. Papers are filed and I really hope they nail this company and Direct Express!
I called this company and they laughed and said that is why we go after Direct Express customers; they don't do anything.

Debit card
I just got my direct Express card and was able to use it to withdraw money out of it at Walmart but when comes to pay my phone bill they won't accept direct Express and I called direct Express customer support and they said there's nothing wrong with my card yet boost Mobile still refuses to accept it and there's money in the account and there's no hold on it none of this makes sense. Why should I have to go use a different card to pay my bills That's what I got the damn direct Express card for in the first place? Direct Express was supposed to ease my problems not create more of them I should have stuck with the regular monthly paper check that I was getting. I can't believe that social security administration can't do anything about this aren't they the ones who got direct Express in this position Don't they have any control over what the hell is going on with our money? I'm so tired of being told just wait a few days and then try again every time you wait a few days it's just that much further away from getting your money back and another way for them to screw you over I'm sick of this nonsense.

I received a payment from social security April 2019 an in the payment installment was for $9000 express took $6000 of it I only got to spend $3000. in 2021.they sent $386.00 as if that's what I deserved an I filed the dispute about my money again I hadn't heard from them so this is 2023 I started calling back an they was telling me that it was still being investigated .so the other day I called the supervisor was on the phone that work in the fraud department an he did say that. It was never filed an he Hurd about my calls an how much it was they were talking as if I'm nobody an that was nothing to dispute that's how I looked at this. someone changed my pin number
got a text message from direct express saying my pin number was changed. I did not authorize the change. I have called the customer service number 4 times hung up on all times. This is how I pay my rent and bills. This company needs to held accountable fir there actions. Date of actions July 28th, 2023. As of now I have been on hold with them for an hour. Credit card fraud
On July 5th 2023 someone used my debit card to reserve a room at a hotel in Florida. When I called them they told me a woman from Colorado used my debit card to reserve a room. They researched the payment on my card and told me yes a transaction was made by this woman but could not give me a refund or give me more information about this woman, that my card company would have to contact them. I dont know HOW THIS TRANSACTION COULD BE MADE SINCE I am the only person to use this card and the card is always in my possesses. I canceled that card and requested a new card.

Expired debit card
I am a U.S. citizen, married to a South African and resident in South Africa for the last 21 years. I receive my Social Security Retirement benefit which is paid into a Direct Express Debit Card. My issue is as follows:
My card, into which I receive my Social Security benefits, expired on October 31st, 2022. Since then, I have been trying to obtain a new card via courier without success. The postal service in South Africa is abysmal, so to date it has still not arrived, 9 months later. Therefore, I urgently need the card to be expedited via courier to my current residential address.
I am disabled, have vascular dementia and unable to easily make my way to a phone. in order to call the Direct Express offices, however I have been able on multiple occasions, the last today, July 11, 2023 to make contact with Direct Express, most recently with their Card Advocacy Group,, in order to try to obtain a new Direct Express card. However, they seem either unwilling or unable to finalise this. I have sent them copies of various documents to verify my ID. but they keep telling me I must contact the SSA to resolve this, however, obviously, firstly, there are no Social Security offices in South Africa, and secondly, SSA keep telling me as it is a validation issue on Direct Express end, SSA cannot assist me, so I am at my wits end as I desperately need access to my SS benefits in order to pay for treatment, medicines and such. They seem totally uncaring to my predicament or health status. Someone please help an ailing elderly lady in a foreign country!

money put on my decesed sons card that was turned in after his death which social security said you have to send back to them. I did not get this money but am being punished for it. This needs to be sent back to social security I called social security and they said call direct express and tell them to send the money on the card back to them.
