Drive2us.com review: Driving lessons not fulfilled

This is about my personal experience, which I state to be accurate and I have records to support want I state herein. This is not to state that you will have the same experience and problems with this company and as always, you should do your own research before booking a service, product or purchase with anyone via the internet.

I booked a week of intensive lessons for my son, a deposit was taken and also the balance of payment amounting to £1522. The lessons were booked for half term as my son is dong A-Levels and was then cancelled 4 days before, yes 4 days and not working days - late in the week before the lessons starting on the Monday and that seems only as I kept chasing for the lesson time and location.

I was told the cancellation was because the instructor taking the lessons did not realise it was half term and had booked a family holiday - make of that what you will.

I was offered lessons, but these were over a period of time and not the Intensive Course I wanted for my son, my son wanted and booked.

James Comley is the person I dealt with, who claims he only works for the company, but a check of companies house shows he is the director and person with significant control.

I did get a refund electronically after some excuses, but this was expedited when I offered to collect the refund from his home address as shown against one of the companies he operates when a search of his name is done on companies house. Please see weblink below:

I have reported him to the ADI and DVSA for what it is worth and I will see what the outcome is as he does advertise as ADI registered and appears not to be - I have sent them all the screen prints and adverts via a number of websites operated or statements presented by James Comley.

He has responded to the DVSA and in turn they have sent that reponse to me, but it does not match my recollection of events, or the written evidence I have kept, which is to the contrary in many instances.

All in it was a big waste of time that left my son without intensive driving lessons. My personal experience is that James Comley as director, is at best economical with the truth to say the least.

if you use one of his companies, then you will find out whether you receive a good service or not.
