I bought a Vauxhall Corsa in February 2014 from Eden Vauxhall, it was a '62 reg car and because I was going to use the car for tuition they insisted I get a mandatory Extended Warrantee for the car for which I paid £699, when the car had its first problem with the brakes they said it was not covered by the warrant, I paid for the fixing of the brake discs and drums and pads, Later the clutch of the car got bad, they insisted that it was not covered by the warrantee, had to pay for a new clutch, I serviced the car every year with them and did an oil service every six months through the time I had the car, recently, the timing chain of the car got bad, I took it to them and they first denied I had bought the warrantee. When I brought the paper work they said it was not covered by the warrantee. I spoke to different service personnel's and one of them finally admitted the timing chain was covered in the warrantee, but that they were sure the car had been used beyond the warrantee, they were shown the wordings of the contract, then they said that the car was not serviced regularly by them hence the warrantee was void. I insisted that each time I wanted the oil service they had no slot for my car and I sourced the service else where, they now wanted the VAT receipts of the external services after seeing the service stamps. when I provided that, they said that the space between one of the services was long hence the warrantee was void. I was disappointed they were always looking for an excuse not to fulfil their obligations. now I have a car unfit for usage, and had paid £699 for a warrantee they refused to honour. I have been conned out of £699, by the Eden Vauxhall in Fareham as they managed to get money from me for a service they never intended rendering. on several occasions I called to ask what the extended warrantee was for they never gave me an answer, any help I can get on this matter will be appreciated.
