I live in coastal NC and have been looking seriously at e-log homes for the last year. I have been by their NC location and spoke with their sales staff. In my process I was ready to sign the papers and then learned that I was going to be charged $1500 per load delivery, (two load estimate). I felt this was unacceptable and decided to step back. I have asked numerous times to know locations of where their homes are being built so I can inspect the process and possible speak with other customers. i have had many excuses as to why this was not available to me. Building a house is an important decision and one that cannot be left to hidden surprises. I believe visiting a construction site and conversing with other builders would be an asset to securing new home builders. The inability to do so has left me holding off.

I have to tell you this was a positive experience for us. We went to the plant and toured their models and proceded from there with ***. after we went under contract we were given *** to help with blueprints etc. She also was very compitant.Then I was give *** and his crew to put the shell up. I cant say enough about this individual. He came up with some really good ideas to open some spaces up. With the corona virus he was sending us pictures everyday. Couldnt have asked for a better crew. I really wanted to leave 4 3/4 stars because I do have one pet peeve. They charged 1500 per truck for two deliveries. The sad thing is the 2nd truck was from lowes down the road and only had 1 unit of ply and 1 unit of 2 by 4. These would have fit on the truck from the plant. Their driver didnt want to get his truck dirty so we had to get 22' lumber up a wooded drive. As I said they have a really nice operation except for delivery. My suggestion with what they charge add a moffit to the back and deliver and unload for the customer. Overall we are thrilled with all else

Of course the year we decided to construct a log cabin was the worst pandemic of our lifetimes altering life in ways unforeseen. We are thankful we selected eLogHomes as our partner. Prior to the pandemic in Fall of 2019 I was able to meet in person with their team and review our unique plan idea which due to our odd lot with an existing AFrame and zoning laws for setbacks meant designing and then building a trapezoid cabin which had not been done before for a log cabin. eLogHomes jumped at the opportunity and in July our logs were delivered to our Arizona location in the White Mountains. Unfortunately, the crew to be assigned to our project had delays and they members of their team were hit hard by COVID. Our September start began to slip and slip but little did we know this would be a huge blessing as Kathy the determined coordinator at eLog set us up with an eLog crew from NC who arrived in mid-December and were the most awesome group of men. The team lead had even worked on my logs in the mill last Summer! The broke for Christmas and arrived back early January and the log home was completed and dry-in the day prior to our first big snow of the season! Our home was a huge challenge to their team with a unique roof line like a wing due to the trapezoid which goes from 34' at one end down to 12' at the other with ceiling reaching over 20' at the peak. We had constant communication from eLogHomes throughout the process and while the delays were frustrating, this is the year of COVID and we were never abandoned by these great professionals.
