I had the worst experience as a customer with Emirates Islamic Bank. Their customer service is non-existent — once they onboard you with promises for a personal loan, everything changes. First, the terms and conditions you agreed to are modified. Then, once you reluctantly accept and sign the documents, the representative who was eager to assist becomes completely unavailable. Every step after that is riddled with delays and broken promises.
I faced repeated issues with their inability to honor agreements. My personal loan was delayed, and during that time, funds in my account were frozen. Despite not having access to those funds, I was charged a full month of payment. As compensation, they promised I wouldn’t have to pay for November. However, they “forgot” and deducted the installment anyway. Now, they refuse to return the illegally charged amount.
For the past 10 days, I’ve been chasing the bank via email and other channels, but all I’ve received is a vague response saying, “We’re looking into it.” No updates, no resolution — just silence. This level of incompetence and disregard for customers is unacceptable for a bank.
If you’re considering banking with Emirates Islamic Bank, I urge you to think twice.
