I finished my studies at Mildred Elley more than 2 years ago, but I still haven't received my degree
I finished my studies at Mildred Elley more than 2 years ago, but I still haven't received my degree. I've called them many times, talked to almost everyone, but no one has been able to assist me. They were supposed to mail my degree to me after I completed my courses, but I haven't received anything. Now I'm attempting to email them, but all my emails are being returned to me, saying that I'm unable to send emails. I worked hard to earn my degree, so I really need it.

My school, Mildred-Elley, located at 25 Broadway, New York, NY, 10004, promised and guaranteed me my high school equivalency once completed or having 21 credits in the medical assistant bridge program. I am supposed to receive my diploma. Before the pandemic, I provided my transcript from a previous school (***) to be verified by a school official and the department of education. I received verification 2 1/2 months later, confirming that I have a total of 16 transfer credits plus an extra six credits from the classes I recently passed, which adds up to 22 credits in total. My guidance counselor, financial aid people, and dean of the school haven't helped at all. I am spending money on a school that isn't giving me my money's worth, only making promises and not fulfilling them. They didn't even send me an email to alert me of this matter.
I attended Mildred Elley College in 2017 for the LPN classes
I attended Mildred Elley College in 2017 for the LPN classes. When I enrolled, I was told that I needed to complete the prerequisite classes. Then, I would have to take the TEAS exam and pass in order to enroll in the program. If I didn't pass, I would have to retake the exam when it was offered to get into the program. In all my classes, I received an A with a 4.0 GPA. However, I managed to fail the TEAS.
Due to the fact that I didn't want to continue with this school, they are giving me a hard time trying to retrieve my transcript. They have charged me for classes I didn't even take, which should be illegal. And they stated that the only way they can release my transcript is if I pay for those classes, which I feel like I shouldn't have to do. Their program is so unsatisfactory that I wouldn't wish anyone to enroll in any of their programs. When I went to speak to the financial department, they were very rude with everyone that I talked to. No one was trying to rectify the situation or try to help in any way. All because I wanted to transfer.

Mildred Elley Education Corp, or as I like to call it, Mildred elley, is not a trustworthy institution. They have a sneaky way of taking government funds from unsuspecting students. They make students sign documents without fully explaining the consequences. It's like they want to keep us in the dark.
During my time at Mildred elley, I stumbled upon a document that stated they were allowed to keep my funds. This came as a shock to me, so I started asking other students about it. Turns out, they had all signed the same paper without fully understanding what they were getting into. It's a real shame that Mildred elley didn't bother to mention this important detail during the enrollment process.
To make matters worse, when I confronted them about it, they sent me a check for $1600. They claimed it was Covid relief, but it's showing up on my credit score. This is not fair at all. I decided to drop out of Mildred elley because of their shady practices. But guess what? They had the audacity to say that I owe them $3500. Can you believe it? They stole more than that from me, including financial aid and my roll grant. As a person with a disability, I am entitled to certain grants, and Mildred elley took advantage of that.
Recently, I checked my credit score because I wanted to buy a home. And what do I see? Mildred elley saying that I owe them $3500 and $1600. These two charges have brought my credit score down to 650. It's unacceptable. I demand that they remove these charges immediately.
In conclusion, Mildred elley is nothing but a scam. They are stealing from thousands of students, government agencies, and other students like me. I strongly advise against attending this institution. They cannot be trusted.
When I started at Mildred Elley, I was told that I could easily transfer my credits to other schools, both public and private
When I started at Mildred Elley, I was told that I could easily transfer my credits to other schools, both public and private. I mostly paid for school out of my own pocket. After graduating from Mildred Elley, someone from their administration contacted me and sent me an email with a list of schools, including ***. Since I couldn't afford a private school, I decided to apply to ***. I sent my transcript from Mildred Elley, hoping to transfer my Anatomy and Physiology 1&2 credits. However, I was informed that *** does not accept credits from Mildred Elley. This confused me, so I reached out to the Dean for clarification. I didn't want to pay for classes I had already taken, especially since I was told I could transfer them. The Dean sent me a letter and advised me to send it to *** in order to help with the credit transfer. However, when I called *** headquarters, I received the same answer - they don't accept credits from Mildred Elley due to lack of accreditation. I tried reaching out to the Dean again, but my emails were ignored.
Mildred Elley's financial aid system is a scam!
Mildred Elley's financial aid system is a scam! I went there for my LPN and was put on a monthly payment plan. I had credits transferred so I didn't have to take many extra classes outside of the Nursing program, just A&P 1&2. So, there shouldn't be any extra costs besides books and uniforms, which were already included in the initial agreement. But here's what I don't get about this school: even though my plan didn't change at all, every semester (module) I get called to the financial aid office because my loans go up. They don't add any classes, so I don't understand why my costs keep going up by [protected] each time. Anyway, I signed the agreement, thinking "all is well." Now that I've graduated, I can't move on to another school because they're calling me again, saying my loans have increased. I don't understand how or why. They won't release my transcript until I pay off my balance, but I still owe $400 in my current agreement. And now they're saying I owe an extra 2000 and change. I need this fixed because I can't afford to pay any more money to this school. I'm barely keeping up with my payment plan. Mildred Elley needs to stop increasing students' loans without giving a reason. And why can't I get my transcript if I'm on a payment plan? I'm stuck and can't move on to a nursing program because I can't get my transcript from Mildred Elley.
This college is a rip off and they lie
This college is a rip off and they lie. They have you take classes that have nothing to do with massage. It's a waste of my time and money. They say they're proud of attendance, but the teachers tell the students it's okay when they come late. Nobody here seems to know how to do their job, from the president of the school down. I'm sick of being lied to just for my financial aid money. The guy who got me into the school lied and said I never gave them my transcript when I have a copy of the receipt. The teachers give you grades that the office wants you to have just for your money. I don't see how I got a D in a class I did my work in the whole time, even when I wasn't there most of the time. I have messages for the teacher, I texted her, and I always save all my information for stuff like this. They think because I'm nice they can walk all over me, but it's not going to happen. I went into a depressed stage and I'm tired of feeling like this over a college that is a joke with people's lives and dreams. And they're not going to play me, sorry. In another class, I went from a B to a C and I don't understand how because the teacher gives you the test to take home and then the next day you take the same test. I would have to be slow to get all the questions right. They wasted my time and money and played with my dreams, and I really don't like that. They're going to pay for what they did to me and other students who don't have a voice and don't know how to make this school pay. Their college is a complete joke in NYC and someone needs to check if the students are happy. They saw the money that I had in my account and they wanted it for themselves. This is not the first college I attended and I know my rights. I'm just sick of the runaround.
I signed up for this school's LPN program
I signed up for this school's LPN program. I had help from admissions rep Derrick A. I gave him my transcripts from my past degrees (1. Bachelors Degree in Biology and 2. Masters Degree in Microbiology). They never got the transcripts, so I had to pay again to send them to ***, *** and ***. After looking at my transcripts, they told me I could finish the program in 13 months instead of 18 if I repeated Anatomy & Physiology I & II. I started my first semester on September 28. They said I only needed to take 8 prerequisite classes before starting the LPN program. But instead, they made me take 3 leave of absence, submit my FAFSA for every module, and take classes for the wrong degree (Medical Assistant courses). They want me to pay for two degrees. This school is a total scam and the staff only cares about money. Even the president asked me to be an "active student," but I don't know what else they want from me. I already have a 3.9 GPA since I started and they have me taking courses for a Medical Assistant program instead of the one I applied for. They also told me to pay TFC Credit, which messed up my credit score and costs me $150 a month. This school has been a nightmare for me. I came here with a good education background and wanted a nursing degree, but this place has made it hard and unnecessary. I want to be heard and make sure other students don't get stuck like me.
