I contacted them for a name change due to marriage three days later. I finally got my name changed after countless emails and phone calls just to get the same excuse someone will be in contact with you. We will escalate this and they will get back to you as soon as possible. It took three days and them specifically saying we will escalate your issue. I would hate to find out if they didn’t escalate the situation how long it would take! Then finally when I went to withdraw my funds, it would not work so I called my bank. My bank said it is fine on their end so at this point customer service is basically done. They do not get back to you after a certain time so after multiple attempts to withdraw my funds I finally get an email back stating that they updated their fraud prevention services and then I should wait two more days to see if I can access my funds fraud really if I can’t access my funds, how will someone else?
Then I noticed that my joint account, which you’re not able to have on Empower, it was back on there again, so I had to send another email, because support needs to take this off because it’s saying it’s connected to my payments after they had already changed it to just my account. This has been a complete nightmare. I have not been able to properly use the app since March. Think twice before downloading this app.
Desired outcome: Access to my account as soon as possible, and the correct bank account linked and to take off the joint account again
