EZ pass sent me unpaid invoices. I added money to an ez pass account with over $100 credit. EZ Pass didn't use that money instead they sent bills and tacked on enormous, unethical, immoral and likely illegal fees. They will be sued and we'll all get our money back someday. Hopefully EZ pass dies with it.
I sent an email to EZ Pass asking why my $100 credit wasn't used to pay for the invoices. They told me I had to file a dispute from the back of the ticket rather than assiting with account payments. They are messing up my credit and billing a stupid amount of money for tiny tolls. $50 fee on a $4 toll!
They submitted the claims to collections which I received today. I will pay them exactly what the toll cost and nothing more.
Desired outcome: EZ Pass needs to use the money I uploaded to EZ Pass to pay tolls in order to pay tolls.
Horrible agency to deal with. Worse than old motor vehicle department ever was. Fines that are not warranted. Difficulty resolving issues. Next to impossible to get a live person on the phone with a wait time less than 45 minutes. A real soul crushing experience. Privately run of course.
