I paid the balance of the my loan early. I called financeit from the bank to obtain account number and balance owing on Aug 6 2024. They continued to take payments for 3 more months. The mom was apparently put into a random account. In October they applied the money to the proper account. They were going to issue me a credit via cheque. Cheque never arrived/ I call every week and get some new solution, idea and option. Today I was told they told owe me anything because it was my fault the account number was incorrect. Also I should be happy that they found the money. What? The customer service rep today laughed when I suggested it was theft. BTW 5 times a manager was going to call me and not once.
