Don’t Blame Christianity for brothers Michael and Scott Hockett
Michael D. Hockett, ABC Tidewater Auction, pled guilty to extorting a Virginia official by sending a stripper to his office and threatening to tell his wife about it. Hockett was sentenced to five months in prison. Letters from 64 supporters, including a preacher, two lawyers and a retired Marine general helped sway the judge.
Brian Scott Hockett Sentenced to 18 Months for Bank Fraud. Hockett redirected and authorized expenses from his company Fleetmax operating account of approximately $2, 498, 855 for the purchase of stock in a public company not related to the purpose. Scott Hockett received more than thirty letters of support, including a number of preachers.
Anthony,
Maybe Harry was the Potter that molded your clay. For all I know, Demi Moore, with help from Patrick Swayze, might also be the potter.
Personal failures may not take anthing from Christianity, however it's the human race that I'm concerned about.

I was doing some research for a project that I am completing for Hockett Global and ran across this.
I have worked with the Hockett Family for more than 30-years. I know the family very well in deed and find that the negative information I have read is limited to a period of 5-years. I’d say NOT BAD for a family that has called Indianapolis its home for 9 decades and has been in the car business since they painted Model T’s black. I have seen more good from this family than can be mentioned. I have seen them visit sick, support needy, bring hope to hopeless people, and they have given away more money than they have spent on themselves. They have always treated me and my co-workers fairly. I find it tragic that someone would use the internet and social networks to appoint ill perception to such a fine family as the Hocketts. You have combined un-truths and exaggerations with hurtful truths in order to discredit an imperfect family…that never claims the good that they are. I have watched them stick together and painfully supported their fallen members…nursing them back to fellowship with God, their communities, and each-other. Commendable!
I wish you well and not ill. I hope that you will not take offence at my comments but will instead reach out to people who fall instead of identifying what others can already clearly see. It hurts no matter who you are and we need each other in these difficult times.
Gregg,
I disagree with the direction and misguided concept that ANY human beings failures take anything from Christianity. We are clay and God is the "Potter". We will face God alone. We may "blame" but at the end of the day when you point at someone, you are pointing at someone just like us; clay. So who are you blaming? The potter? Careful.
