Flighty
Flighty notified me that Alaska Airlines had cancelled 4 of my flights. When my husband called to reschedule, he was told the flights had not been cancelled. I sent a message to Flighty and received a quick response that they had checked into it and said yes it had been cancelled. Shortly thereafter, the Alaska website did show that the flights had been cancelled. When flights are cancelled, we quickly reschedule on another flight before most others are even aware of the problem.
Great, but
This app is one of the best apps for flight tracking out there. It has a beautiful design, rich information, and helps me keep tabs on my flight easily. The only thing that made me take away stars was because of the extremely limited free plan. While I get that some features deserve to be premium, like 25hr where’s my plane and a detailed timeline, some features make no sense to be paywalled, such as simple notifications and Live Activity support. Amazing app, just unnecessary paywall.
So disappointed
I downloaded this to track my girlfriend's flight. I paid for premium, then found out that I had to prepay for a year to truly get premium. I deleted it, requested a refund, and did a little research. Turns out if you have a flight number in imessage and you click on it.. Then "preview flight".. You can track the flight. This may be across the whole apple ecosystem.. But definitely messages.. So now I'll never use Flighty.. And I'm pretty disappointed with their slight of hand practices.
Essential Travel App
I am a 2+ million mile flyer with a major airline. For me this app is essential for navigating the increasing complications flyers experience. Airport arrival/departure monitors are the last to update flight status. Forewarned is forearmed - it’s that simple and this app does an amazing job of that. The amount of information this app equips you with is phenomenal and essential if you’re going to navigate travel issues that inevitably will occur. The app is absolutely worth the annual fee.
Love the UI but underlying data feed needs more work
I have been using this app for a while. Paid for the lifetime subscription but kind of regret that now.
Flights to Pakistan are almost never available for tracking. Sitting at LHR right now and FlightAware, Flightradar24 and Google have all updated the status to delayed. Whereas, the one paid app that I have still has not updated status.
If you don’t have the flight data just display that as a message so that I know I should check elsewhere rather than keep checking the app again and again.
Weird Results
I'm looking at my flight in three days from Denver to Colorado Springs, a flight that normally takes about 20 minutes. Flighty shows my flight cancelled because the airplane diverted to Tampa, FL. Now, this is a flight from DEN to COS and I'm supposed to believe my flight is cancelled because my airplane diverted 1600 miles to Florida. Never mind that the flight doesn't even take place for two more days and the United app shows everything on time.
Something is seriously wrong with this app.
Masterfully designed
This is one of the best designed apps I've come across in my long history of using the iPhone. It reminds me a bit of FlightTrack Pro from around 2011 (if you were around then you know the one I'm talking about) but it has much more detailed data, and being able to sync with Google Calendar is nice.
I fly at least once per month, so the subscription is worth it for me. The firehose of data the developers are getting from multiple providers has to be paid for, and I want this app to stick around.

One of the best iOS apps in existence
I think it’s worth paying for the family lifetime pro version, there aren’t that many apps that really show off what iOS is capable of and flighty is basically flawless.
They’re early to adopt new iOS features, and they continually ship improvements that actually make things better.
You know up to date information before the airline agents themselves do. It’s also great for sharing live status to family and friends about your arrival.
I can’t say enough good things about it - it’s insanely great.
Wow
I can’t remember the last time I was so love-stricken by an app. The attention to detail, the utility, the fun and whimsy, the deep integration with the OS… I could go on and on. I recently demoed this app to my company as an example of someone getting it right. The Pro pricing may be a bit steep for infrequent fliers, but the free tier remains available and useful. So much thought, care, and hard work went into this app, and it absolutely shows. A rare diamond in the App Store… bravo Flighty! ✈️
Not impressed. Too much money
I get the same data from other flight tracking apps and I don’t have to pay anything. Plus other apps let’s you track all flights at an airport instead of just 1 at a time. Also you should get rid of the “age” of the plane. It’s very misleading because the engines are being rebuilt on a constant basis and airframe stress has nothing to do with age but how many trips the plane makes and duration of these trips. I gave it 2 stars since the app looks polished (except kind of cluttered). I’ll stick to my other apps.
OK when it works
This successfully found flights in my calendar and I was able to forward a few emails to add some more. It looks cool. However, it can't seem to find one of my flights even when I try to add it manually. This is a major international daily flight so I'm surprised it's not showing up. It says "no flights found." What's equally annoying is there's a link at the bottom of the app that says "Still no results? Send a report" but clicking this link does nothing. I've emailed the company but have not received a response.
Frustrating That I Can See What I Cannot Have
I love that the App brings together information from multiple sources to provide a dashboard of useful metrics for my flights. At the same time, I can see the blur in the App for all of the features I am not allowed to use unless I pay for the Pro version. This is very frustrating and has me switching between the airline App and Flighty to gather information. I cannot help but think this is the ‘burning platform’ which will compel App users to pay for the Pro version. In three words, Flighty is useful but frustrating.
Tray Table’s Down, best flight app on the market
I can’t express how incredible this app is. From the iPhone to the watch, this app gives you all the information you need, readily available. Gate changes, flight changes, days from departure, to hours from departure, much faster and more convenient than any airline app on the market. (Including the apps of all the major airlines!)
It looks great and is easy to use! I’d love to purchase a life time plan but can’t seem to figure out how to upgrade after owning the app for 3 months.
Great job to the Flighty team.

Outstanding functionality, support is MIA
Flight notifications are top, better than the airlines themselves. My QR flight got cancelled and Flighty notified a full day before QR did, making it possible to canx hotel bookings, saving me a few hundred bucks! Only complaint I have is with support. I emailed them once in Feb with an issue, never got a response even though I followed up twice. Opened another inquiry nearly two weeks back and that is half-answered. Looks like only 1 person answers support tickets and they don’t have a good system in tracking those requests.
Really impressed
I’m really impressed with this app compared to just my standard Delta app. When at the airport I got an alert that my plane was coming in, and then once again that boarding was ready. I then also got an alert immediately upon landing about where my baggage pickup was and what gate the plane would be taxied to. The level of detail is just incredible and really shows that the devs put a lot of hard time, work, and money into this product. I’ll most likely be subscribing to Pro since I’ll be traveling a bunch this year. Thanks guys!
New Travel Tool For Work & Myself
Flighty has become so helpful to me not only for personal travel, but for work travel as well! As a person who flies a decent amount, it makes it much easier for me to visualize my flights, keep an eye on upcoming flights, and also remind myself of the places I have traveled. Even more useful, keeping track of flights of my colleagues becomes handy when we are meeting at an airport, or I am coordinating their arrival at a conference. For me, just flying once a month makes this a worthy purchase - and flying more makes it unbeatable.
Notifications Need Work
This application is great, however, there are issues with the notification system itself. You see whenever I track my family's flights, I get the flight number and input it. Yet it doesn't notify me when exactly it takes off nor does it notify me properly. If anything you guys really need to take notes from the Flight Tracker application and take a few tidbits from their interface, for better functionality. Just look at it and then make an algorhythm similar to the flight tracker's notification system for more time sensitive features.
Never updates
I have purchased this app for lifetime. Spent $249. I am travelling in Europe. No gate information at all even after the flight is finished. I was in Copenhagen when I purchased this app. Never updated gate information. I am going to Frankfurt and no gate information even when plane is going to take off. Sent a information through the app, they never responded yet after 10 days. Shame on you guys for treating your lifetime customers like this. Had I known this, I would not have purchased the app. Can I rate this app 0? I would if I can.
Must have app for the frequent traveller
If you're constantly on the road, this app is such a great way to stay organized in one place. My corporate travel agency lets me add a personal email address for a copy of the itineraries, I have a rule to forward to the Flighty email address and all my flights just auto-populate.
I love the widgets for the desktop and the lock screen, the thin and wide one with the date is just fantastic, masterful design.
Alerts from check in to baggage claim keep you moving efficiently on day of travel.
Stop reading this and get the app already!

Flighty monitors your flight 25 hours before departure, tracks inbound flight history to predict delays, and provides arrival forecasts based on historical data, making it unique compared to App in the Air.
Flighty is a comprehensive flight tracking app available for free on the App Store, though it includes optional in-app purchases. It's designed for anyone planning to fly, offering detailed information about flights without tracking you via Facebook or Google SDKs. This means your activity within the app isn't monitored by these companies.
While Flighty provides detailed information on flights, including departure, arrival times, and flight paths, it may not update in real-time as precisely as some other apps. It gives a good representation of a flight's status and path, but for exact real-time tracking, other platforms might offer more up-to-the-second data.
Yes, Flighty includes a feature that directs users to a website detailing COVID-19 travel impact and restrictions by country. This is especially useful for planning trips during the pandemic, helping you stay informed about the changing travel restrictions and guidelines.
Flighty's Pro package offers enhanced notifications, including alerts for delays, gate changes, departure, takeoff, check-in, cancellations, and email TripIt imports. Additional premium features include "Where's My Plane?" alerts, FAA airport delays, connection info, and detailed flight path tracking.
Flighty allows for automatic syncing of flight information through email forwarding, TripIt sync, or calendar sync. By registering your email with Flighty and forwarding your flight confirmation emails, the app can automatically import your flight details, simplifying the tracking process.
Flighty is noted for its exceptional customer support. The development team is responsive and helpful, addressing users' questions and concerns promptly and with care. This level of support enhances the overall user experience and reliability of the app.
Yes, Flighty is a global flight tracking app capable of tracking flights worldwide. Whether you're flying within North America or internationally, Flighty can provide you with comprehensive flight details, including delays, weather conditions, and aircraft information.
Flighty stands out due to its user-friendly interface, absence of tracking by major tech companies, and unique features like morning and check-in assistants, which offer itinerary updates and help with connecting flights. Its focus on privacy, global capability, and detailed flight information make it a valuable app for travelers.
Opinions on the value of Flighty's PRO version vary. Some users feel that it is expensive and may not be worth the investment for those who only travel occasionally. Others might find the enhanced tracking features, notifications, and customer support beneficial for frequent travel.
