insurance claim
I was rear ended by a policy holder with Fred Loya Insurance. I tried to contact the adjuster Noe Mancera 30 plus times within a 12 day period never reaching him and never able to leave a voice mail since all calls seem to re-direct back to office. Of course when they re-direct the same agents answering the phones are the ones who are also able to handle all of your problems. The first time I called to report my claim, the agent made it clear to me that the claim adjuster (Mancera ) would make his damage evaluation from pictures that would be taken by their employees at a local office. I was then informed to make sure that the pictures showed all the damages because after the claim adjuster makes out a check to me it would be hard to get paid if more damage was found. When I took it to the place for pictures to be taken the girl informed me that she would be sending the pictures to (Mancera ) the following morning so I needed to contact him that morning to speak to him and tell him what each picture was for. It appeared my car frame had been bend and the girl was trying to show this in the pictures. I was shocked what I was hearing, a insurance company did damage evaluation by looking at pictures? I preceded to get two estimates, both stating that my cars frame was bend, it was totaled. The agent with Fred Loya Insurance stated that I needed to take my car to any body shop that I wanted to do the repairs and the bodyshop would then contact the insurance company for s supplement check. Well I had already googled Fred Loya Insurance and read story after story about problems and read several storied about people loosing their cars because Fred Loya refused to pay and body shops had hold on their cars. I explained that I wanted my car replaced and stated that I would be glad to take it to any body shop here in town to look at my car if preferred. I had already explained to them that my frame was bend and my left front tire was rubbing the fender well. I was told that they worked with no local body shop and to take it in and have a local body shop to tear it down and have the body shop to call them. Needless to say, I am angry and stated again that my car was totaled and I wanted a check to replace my car. At this point I am told that I have to drive my car on the freeway with freeway traffic 150 miles to one of their locations. Now, the darn insurance is telling me that they don't care a thing about my life or anyone else live, what kind of an insurance company would risk the life of people by telling them to drive a unsafe After a few word and being put on hold for about 16 minutes the agents got back on the phone and stated that they would not be accepting responsibility and would be paying nothing. After talking a bit more they came up with the reason being that one thing was that "no police report was sent to them or no police report was made out". We had already explained to them that the police was called but in Bakersfield California the police do not come to traffic accidents and no reports are made unless someone is hurt, nothing we can do about that. The agent then said it was she said against he say's. The agent stated that their policy holder stated that my husband was on the right side of the east and west two lane road with his right turning signal on waiting for the traffic to pass so he could turn right and stated she pulled out into the passing lane and my husband turned left pulling out in front of her therefore they were taking her word over my husband word. This was just bull to start with it was a two lane road if my husband was going to turn right he would not be waiting for traffic to pass he would only need to turn right, nothing would be stopping him or in his way in order to turn right. Second, there is no passing lane on this road and the only way my husband could have pulled out in front of her is if she was driving on the wrong side of the street also if my husband had turned in front of her she would have our car on the driver side and she hit our back bumper with most of the blow hitting the end of the bumper no side damage at all. Fred Loya could have also checked the Insurance Act which explains who is at fault. This is a rip off company who should have paid now we will be have to sue the policy holder in court! I am also filing a complaint about this company in every department that I can.

Someone broke into my car last month. I have been with Fred loya for yrs without problem because I never had the need to use them besides regular coverage for my vehicle. When I placed my claim the same day it happened, they told me that and adjuster would be calling me to explain and answer my questions. I waited 2 weeks, in the meantime i would call and no one would answer and when they did the 2 people i spoke to would not give me info on what was going on, as if i was not the policy holder. they stated that i had to wait until the adjuster called me to explain. I finally received a letter from there company saying that my adjuster has been trying to get a hold of me since day one. Lies! My car now has water damage besides the broken window. When I was about to give up I spoke to a young lady one last time. She said that in order for my window to be replaced I would have to pay $500 deductible and have someone come out within 2-3 days to check out the vehicle and whatever the "professional " said then they would decide to replace my vehicle. Information that needed to be given to me since day one. So basically, pay $500 and not sure if there would be a window at the end of all this. Here I am 1 month after no window, still waiting, and might i add still have not heard from the adjuster. Not a good company. Real things happen to real people. And you need a company you can depend on, and this is not one of them. Rude service, no professionalism, and most important no service when you need it. I had to come to a website to place a complaint because they wouldn't let me place one with them. I am so frustrated with all this and no window yet. You have been warned, from a fred loya customer of years.
Insurance coverage
Good afternoon,
I am emailing you in regards to a concern about a policy that I started with Young America. I got the policy based on the friendship I had with my agent Kibbi Jones, I informed Ms. Jones on our first conversation that my spouse and I were separating and that he did not need to be on my policy. The next day I emailed my agent back to inform her to add my spouse to the policy and I sent emailed her a copy of his driver’s license. 02/16/2016 on the way to take my 3 year old son to the hospital we were involved in an accident. My husband was driving and I was riding in the back holding an ice compact to my son’s mouth. I spoke with my agent that night and she informed me that she had added my husband to my policy. 02/17/2016 I called to make a claim and I was told that my husband was never added to my policy. When I spoke with Ms. Jones she informed me I signed the contract on 10/30 and I informed her I spoke with her on 10/22 and 10/23 to add my spouse. I understand that I should have been more diligent in reading my entire contract, but I trusted my agent to do what was asked of her. I have spoken with Maritza Urias about this issue on 02/17/2016 and sent her copies of the messages between Ms. Jones and myself and was informed that I would hear something back within 24 hours. I have not heard anything from her and I have called and left messages with my email address to no avail. I am writing to you for the simple fact I paid my insurance for the 6 month premium, and I trusted Ms. Jones when she stated this was a good company to go with. And I went on her word that she would take care of my needs. I am very disappointed in the service that I have received and how your company has been represented. I would like for someone to contact me ASAP, my toddler and I are riding in a SUV that the passenger door will not close or open all the way. I would like a prompt response to this matter before it goes further.
Thank you,
Wessie Jones
unauthorized bank account withdrawn and for one reason or another they don't mail my rfund check, have been dealing with it for over a month!!
They added a person to my policy just because this person showed to be leaving in my house, they said they mail us a letter stating that they would add him, we never got the letter, well, our insurance from being $140 a month they charged us OVER $400! When you call customer service they have you on hold for a very long time, I am on the phone with them and been on hold for 13:49 min (and counting) I have asked to speak to supervisors and they are all soooo careless, they have no customer service what so ever! I asked to speak to their regional supervisor and left him 2 messages and HE NEER RETURNED MY CALL! Can't wait for my contract to be over, they have the worst service ever! I'm still waiting on the phone to speak to someone and explain to me why is it that they haven't sent me my check!
don't get hit by one of their clients it's all your fault
On the 13th of December I was leaving my house and when I stopped in my driveway with my rear end slightly in the road one their client came racing into the cul-da-sac tried to get around me and end up hitting my rear end. Though they never saw my vehicle or talked to me...they sent me a letter after investigation we are not liable because you backed unsafely. Really, I was stopped at the time! They are a joke and I filed the claim through my insurance...its headed to arbitration even though their client in the statement to my insurance said she hit me.
worst customer service ever!
I have been with Fred Loya since I was about 20 years old so for about 7 years they have been my car insurance vendor. This past year this company has shown me that clearly their customers come last. How is that it is not possible to cater to your customers if they need to make payments with more than one credit card. Also big lack of communication on increases of premiums within a timely manner. I am very disappointed with Fred Loya and would NEVER recommend them to anybody.
they created the fee for the cancellation of the insurance
I had the insurance from the company Fred Loya Insurance within long 6 years. But recently I decided to change it and called to the company and asked to cancel the insurance. The lady on phone told me to come to their office, because they needed the cancellation fee. I heard about tis fee for the first time and it was completely inappropriate not to warn customers about this fee.

I was involved in an accident with one of their insured. I was driving on a main street and the insured was leaving a gas station and swerved into my lane causing damage to my car. At first, I contacted Fred Loya and filed a claim with them. They got back to me and took my car to one of their authorized repair centers. They said they were going to fix my car. Everything looked good up to that point.
After about a week, they called me back and declared my car as a total loss. They also declared me as at fault when it was their insured who crashed into me. I talked to the repair center and their estimate was close to $2300. Fred Loya would not pay for any damages that my car sustained, so I got a lawyer and filed a case in small claims court. Since you're not allowed to sue the insurance company directly, I sued their insured and also filed a claim with the California Department of Insurance.
After about a month later, a Fred Loya claims adjuster contacted me and offered me 50% of the estimate that I received from the repair shop. If I were to accept their offer, I still would have been at fault and their offer was not even close to repairing my car. A week after that they called me back and offered me $2000 and I accepted.
Lesson learned, I hope none of you get hit by a Fred Loya insured, because collecting from this company is like pulling teeth and they will do everything they can to save every last penny. If you are ever involved in a crash with this company, file a claim with the Department of Insurance in your state and if that doesn't bring results then you'll have to sue their insured.
In my opinion, a company that doesn't protect their insured from being sued is not an "insurance" company.
denying repair of missed damage
In December, 2014, my daughter and I were driving back from her college graduation. I was in front and she was following. I hit a blown out tire and dragged it under my car and then knocked it into hers. My car sustained almost $2000 in damage and hers $4000. Fred Loya fought with my body shop about my claims - denied a dent because I had supposedly made it by slamming the hood down. After I picked it up, I noticed damage on the back of the car that I had missed in my first look. Their adjustor missed it and the body shop missed it. But it is so obviously from a tire. I called Fred Loya and my adjustor said I had to file another claim and pay another deductable ($500.00). She basically called me a liar - like I was doing something to get extra work. I have contacted the main company office and am waiting for a response. It looks like after all of the years of being a customer, paying premiums that will MORE than pay for the damage, they don't want to handle things right. I am not a mechanic and their adjustor, after hearing my story, should have inspected the ENTIRE car and not blame me for not seeing it. I am still not sure that there isn't under the carriage damage because I certainly cannot see that. I am going to keep fighting, whether it be going to the media or going to a state inspector. AND MY RATES BETTER NOT GO UP! Knowing them, though, I am afraid.
employees
I have been with this insurance for about 5 years, and I have no complaint about claims, but gosh the employee's suck! My payments have been auto withdraw every month on the 13th for the entire membership and never been late, one time I am going to get a call about my payment been declined, told them the money was there that I didn't know what was going the girls said: NO problem we will do a second attempt on the 17th you don't need to do anything we are just letting you know, I checked my account on the 19th payment not taken out yet, I called as a courtesy to ask what's going on they said they meant to say the second attempt was going to be the 27th and I had to pay a late fee WTF! When I requested that to be written off they said I had to PROVIDE with my bank statement DOUBLE WTF! this is not my fault!

no coverage when you have full coverage
I had an accident on the 27th of 2013 every one was ok when I made my claim the the appraiser said he will be seeing my car in 3 days I was shocked how can a insurance company be so inconciderate I have to work and I have 3 kids to take to school and they were trying to leave me with out a car. So then my car gets repaired I go to pick it up 3 weeks later and they dont approve my dash board I was shocked they never called to tell me the adjuster Jose Hernandez, the manager Myra Seragoza, and the Office Manager Claudia Silva were all rude told me it happen before the accident I was dumbfounded how can they say it happened before when it happen when I got in to the accident I will be contacting my lawyer. They will pay this is rediculous that they think they can walk all over people they are rude they said rude comments when talking to them. I will be going to Allstate or AAA now I rather take my money to a different company.

Yes, they are crooks. I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. I filed a very minor claim with them. They kept stringing me along with excuses but implying they would pay. After almost 90 days, they tell me I have to sue their insured to get anything. Ridiculous. I wish you luck.

no notice of change
Totally Unprofessional Business Policy
I was a customer with this company for 4 years, my vehicle insurance policy was to expire on July 19, 2012.
I received a call from their local office on July 18, 2012 telling me of the expiration date is due, without informing me
that the underwriter (Vision Insurance Co.) was no longer the underwriter for Fred Loya Ins. Agency, Inc.
I went to their local office to renew my policy on July 20, 2012 and was inform then of the change and that an increase of $25.00 more per month.
A VERY BIG INCONVENIENCE - I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE OR DO ANY FUTURE BUSINESS
WITH THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN!
fraudulent practices
My car totaled after Loya insured ran a stop sign and rammed me with a truck. Contacted by ACCESS, VISION, LOYA insurance - they play quite a shell game, but Alfredo Loya heads every one of the 4 or 5 companies. They use fraudulent valuations from a company that's been sued for low-balling; they refuse to accommodate handicaps; they paid a $300K fine in April. Everybody with a complaint should file with the Texas Insurance Commissioner; BBB had over 130 complaints on them in the last 3 years and rates them F. I filed a suit against the insured and the insurors and the adjusters and Loya, himself: Texas Financial Responsibility statutes creates an agency between the insured and the company and MANDATES that the insuror pay damages to the injured person, which creates a statutory obligation between the insuror and the injured/damaged party - so use that rather than the "contractual" obligations that exist only between the insured and the company. That's how most insurance companies get out of being sued by the damaged party, but in Texas you can do it by citing those statutes. Good luck.

disappointed
I'm just so disappointed of them, been with them for 3years and just renew my policy again last month, they have so many changes that they don't even let you know before they add all these charges for different things, also the excluded drivers' they had almost all my family & people that I don't even know & don't even have the same address or live with me, they said that it was a new system that they check for people that you may know & all family members! that's just not right, they are just coming up with lots of thing to give you a hard time...Not happy with them, at all!

I currently work with them, and yes they do not care about their customers-they are very money hungry. The managers are horrendous, this company works out there employees like SLAVES! Can't wait to leave this company.
horrible insurance company
Please help me! Fred loya is screwing big and I have to pay out of my own pocket for repairs that they should be covering. I refuse to let them run over me. They are making me lose so much money and they are causing me stress and I am losing my hair because of it. I have proof. They arent paying my mechanic the money it cost to fix my transmission, differentila, gear box, when its clear that its related to the auto accident. Please help me and give me advice...
auto accident
I was in a auto accident. My car is having really bad mechanical problems and fred loya is dong everything they can to save them a ton of money and they continue to lie to me. I am taking notes of everything. they arent paying the price for all my damages and they refuse to pay for my claim. They leave me voicemails about stuff that we never discussed and they are arguing over assumptions. They turned their back on me and i am paying alot of money out of my own pocket because they refuse to do the right thing. I am having such a hard time getting them to pay for my damages. They are trying to replace all my replaceable parts with mystery parts from a salvage yard. Please help me
I agree I was hit by a Unlicensed Driver who was insured by fred Loya and Guess like everyone they are trying to put the blame on me, Which surely wasn't - Has any one a claim by these crooks?
rasicm
I have never experience racism until I dealt with Fred Loya. I'm Caucasian and I was hit from behind by an illegal mexican with Fred Loya insurance. The accident was clearly his fault and there were no issue until Fred Loya could not locate their insured motorist after 30 days. During the fifth week I contacted Fred Loya and they stated they had located the driver and he said he was rear ended and pushed into my car and the claim was closed and refused to discuss the matter further and was very rude...leaving my with $1200 in damages.
The only racist comment made is the one about the illegal Mexican and it was by you. Race has
nothing to do with determining who is liable in an accident.
settlement won't allow repair
My daughter was rear ended by a Fred Loya Insured while driving my car. It was 100% liability on the Fred Loya Insured Driver. The settlement they offered was for $338.06.
A full rear bumper replacement is necessary. A after market bumber is more than the settlement, and labor and paint would bring the total to well over $1000.
The accident will be noted on Carfax, diminishing the future trade value in excess of $2000. They are using a used bumper in their estimate. The used bumper will need repair work prior to painting, there is no restitution for this labor included in their estimate. The paint application on a vinyl bumper is in excess of the $128 dollars they have offered, if proper supplies and techniques are used. Body labor is in excess of $128.00 which they estimated. There is no restitution for car rental while repairs are facilitated. This offer is an isult to my intelligence, and they are shunning their responsibility to return my vehicle in its original condition prior to the incident. They have low balled us, and I can't accept this offer. I probably will have to go to courts to resolve this in my favor. They are surely untruthful in their damage estimates. Everyone be aware of their practices.
horrible management
I was involved in an accident in which one of Fred Loya's customer was at fault. I filed the claim with Fred Loya and the service i got from the people that worked there was just horrible, so unprofessional and disinterested. After filing my claim i called back to get an update and i was told that i was going to get a call as soon as they had any new developments on my claim. A few days passed by and i did not get any calls from them so i called back and the claim person Steven Bais told me that my claim had been denied a day after they had assured me that they would inform me of any developments if any. Not only my claim was denied but then claim representative did not bother to inform me. When i asked the guy why i wasn't informed he had said that a letter was sent out by mail. What kind of service is that? isn't a two minute call a better choice? He also did not give me a good explanation about why the claim was denied. This is horrible service when their customer even got a ticket from this incident. So here i am without a car to make it to work and waiting on the police report to demand payment. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND HORRIBLE HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT.
