On November 14, 2023 my boss asked me to contact Geek Squad about an invoice he received by email(attached). I called the customer number to request that there should be no subscription and to make sure it was cancelled. The person who answered started asking me my personal information and had me fill out a form with my personal information so they could link into my computer. I kept telling them that this was not for me and asking why they had all my personal information. I have never signed up for Geek Squad for ever paid for Geek Squad. They linked into my computer and started all kinds of charges to my personal account and confusing me with all kinds of codes to enter from my bank. I kept asking what this had to do with me as I am not a customer. I got transferred to someone who was supposedly a supervisor ("Kevin"--definitely a bogus name) who kept in my account and me on the phone for 2 hours and I was unable to access my computer this whole time so I really do not know what he was doing. When I became agitated about it he sent me to his supervisor ("Karen" - obviously another bogus name) who assured me that there were no charges to me and that she would personally take care of and by tomorrow I could check my account and see no charges. However, while they were in my account they created a Zelle transfer without my knowledge or approval to something called Kingsway for $956.00. I got a text from them from #[protected] which was # from "Karen" the next morning saying all had been taken care of but when I checked my account the only record was the transfer of $956.00 to Kingsway who I have no idea who that is.. I called again and was very irate with "Karen" who immediately transferred my to "Kevin" who I had a shouting match with when he wanted to access my computer again which I refused. Geek Squad or one of your customer service employees has stolen $956.00 from me over something that should never have even involved anything personal about me or my bank. This to me and ultimately to my bank is fraud and they are pursuing. In the meantime I had to change my whole banking account to protect myself because of the ineptness of your customer service if indeed they are your customer service and this was just a total scam. Your company needs to refund to me the $956.00 that was stolen from me for nothing that I did. I do not have your service. I have never used Geek Squad and this should never have happened. I had also asked these "customer service" employees to email all the details of the 2 hour transactions and "Karen" assured me she would. I have received nothing.
Claimed loss: 956.00
Desired outcome: Refund
