WITHOUT PREJUDICE
Dear Sirs,
Subject: Opel Mokka with registration number MKB 623 purchased by authorised representatives in Cyprus with faulty Engine control module.
Dear Opel,
We wish you inform you that we have been fully authorised by our client Mr. Tassos Kokkinou of Xylofagou, Cyprus who is the owner of a recently purchased Opel Mokka with registration number MKB 623 that was sold to him by your authorised representatives in Cyprus, GEO PAVLIDES AUTOMOTIVE.
Specifically, we wish to inform you of our client's dissatisfaction and distress that your representatives have shown towards him.
Our client purchased the abovementioned car from GEO PAVLIDES AUTOMOTIVE and authorised reseller of Opel cars in Cyprus in August 2015. The car has travelled less than 50, 000 KM and is currently located at the garage and/or service department of the abovementioned reseller due to the fact that the Engine control module needs replacing, and that the reseller has requested that our client need to pay an amount of €1893 to replace and repair the faulty engine control module.
Tha car has travelled around 50, 000 and it is unreasonable for such an integral part of the car to need replacing after such a low milage unless the specific engine control module is faulty from the manufacturer and hence, we believe that the cost of replacing of such an important part of the car should burden the manufacturer and not our client.
We henceforth wait for your respectable company to take ownership of its responsibility towards its clients and arrange for the replacement of the engine control module without burdening our client with any costs or expenses.
We look forward to your positive reply before we proceed with any further actions.
We remain at your disposal for any assistants with this issue and we believe that it is in the best interest of all parties involved to resolve this issue out of court.
Kind regards,
Andreas K. Kareklas
