For the promise of a free 3 or 4 day cruise plus free airfare for two, my wife and I attended a high-pressure sales pitch near Washington DC. The 'free' vacation required that we pay $35 'registration fee' each, which we did. We then got a registration packet that required another $4.95 to be sent to PTS Travel. We did that and got back our 'registration activation' which requires us to send another registration fee of $100. The terms and conditions on the registration form in small print made it clear that it's virtually impossible to book a cruise (90 days in advance) plus there are a ton of other fees along with a $199 per person for NCF's as well as fees for the 'free' air travel.

By the time you add up all the fees, it's cheaper to just book a cruise and pay your own air fare.

You got out of it cheap. We got stuck with a MyWayVacations plan to the tune of almost 4 thousand dollars, (when in Mazatlan.) The only thing to help compensate for our idiocy in purchasing it, --was the offset of a "complimentary cruise." My Way sent us to PTS Travel in Tampa to redeem this. In the slow process of sending money and certificates to various addresses, we came to the point when another $100.00 was aksed for, --and we decided to pay no more. On doing research on various sites, we found messages like yours, that PTS travel was a scam. On reporting this to MYWays Vacations, they assured me the one they dealt with would fullfill the cruise redemption. Yea, sure! I don't dare to invest anymore money to try this. My belief now is that you can't trust any of them. Don't buy anything, don't sign anything, don't believe anyone you don't really know.

Thank you for these comments. I was just contacted and figured it was a scam, and looks like it is. You've saved us from talking to these people any longer.

Hi,

My name is Jason Rzucidlo and I am the Owner & Web Designer of AmericaJR.com. I received lots of complaints about the Global Vacation Network so I decided to do some investigating. I encourage you read and comment on these articles before attending a GVN sales presentation:

http://americajr.com/news/globalvacationnetwork0314.html (You can also view all of the documents you will be required to sign in a PDF file)

http://americajr.com/news/globalvacationscandal.html

Many of the GVN offices will show you a phony BBB rating that is not their true rating. Always check BBB ratings at www.bbb.org.

Secondly, GVN is offering huge prizes like Lincoln Navigators that are impossible to win. They are only giving away 1 and your chances to win it are 1 in a million. So if they told you that you won one, you probably didn't.

Good luck in your travels.

Jason

Keep in mind that the above mentioned complaint about the cruise and other gifts is a reflection of the marketing companies gifts, not Global Connections program.

I was goated into signing up with global, I was invited to a house party of about a dozen people. I found out that I was the only one stupid enough to sign up and I say, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER received any of the flights, cruise or anything else that offered! O got stuck paying more the $5, 000 dollars for this scam!
