Very interesting - I just looked over the weekend - had similar charges. I called them and they were closed over the weekend. So not only did they charge this month - they have been charging my credit card since January. I don't know how I missed it. So I called my credit card company and it's not being charged as revolving which mean monthly someone is entering my information from TLG*GREATFUN. I called them this morning, pushed zero and demanded to speak to a manager. After getting a speal from the woman on the phone about what great offers they can provide to me - BLA BLA - THIS IS A SCAM! Management credited my Visa for the last four months and said I would have to contact Corporate to reverse the other charges. Call them now... Great Fun - [protected] - and their Corporate Fax number is [protected].

I just noticed a charge again from Great Fun on my statement. I noticed this charge last month and was given a cancellation number and was told that I would be credited the charge back within 15 days. Well I never received the refund, just another charge. I called back and was told my account was never cancelled, so I will try it again.

I called my bank and am going in to fill out an affadavit, my bank also cancelled my card and is sending me a new one.

This company is a major scam! BEWARE!

We did agree to have sign up for the great fun package due to we would get a rebate of $30.00 for our room stay. We could cancel within 30 days if we choose to not keep the package and we would not be charged but would still receive the rebate. Well we cancelled with in 2 weeks of getting the information, never received the rebate and were charged on our credit card. I will never take another offer from any hotel ever again!

Just realized they've been charging me as well. Apparently it signed me up from getting a ticket through Fandango. Major rip off.

I was on the Sprint web site last night looking into a new phone, then this afternoon I check my bank account and there is a membership charge there from TLG fun membership for $149.99 charged to my account...it is a sunday afternoon and tried to get a hold of TLG and they are not open, called my bank and their systems are down...I just reported my card as being stolen to get this charge taken off of my account...Makes me afraid to do any online banking, or even looking at shopping online for fear someone else might be able to get a hold of my new credit card number. There has to be a way to stop these people from invading our accounts.

I was signed up automatically after purchasing movie tickets online from Fandango. I did receive a full credit but had to speak with three people first.

Whoever this company is charge my debit card twice in one day. I called they said it was a mistake and that the charges would be reversed. But they only but one charge back on. I'm so tired of these companies that think they can get by with anything, I think it's time something is done. They think they can just take money from the little people and nothing will happen. I'm contacting a lawyer to see what can be done!

I just noticed being charged for Great Fun also. I called and they are credited two months @ 11.99 each. They stated that when I bought airline tickets with Priceline and a pop up came up and asked if I wanted to save an additional 15% on these tickets? I don't remember that. Oh well. Watch out for pop ups!
They also stated that I was mailed information on using the discounts.

Hello all. I too have been scammed out of $12.99 EACH for two bogus services - Complete Home and Great Fun. I have just got off the phone with a so-called supervisor (Megan) after being transferred 4 times. I got immediately transferred upon telling each representative that I was an attorney, wanted CERTIFIED COPIES of the, again so-called, proof of enrollment in their BS programs. I also advised them that I had viewed a website with many identical claims and problems and was prepared to file an immediate Class Action Lawsuit against the company. True? Hell no, I'm not Attorney but, they're no legitimate business and all bets are off when dealing with these crooks. They lie; I lie...tit for tat. I am well spoken, I do have knowledge of the law and I do hope they took me seriously. AFTER being transferred 4 times, I got the "magic" cancellation confirmation number that everyone else has discussed. I laughed at Megan and said, "We both know that means nothing. You tell me what that number does for me and then cut the ### and give me the refund I am entitled to. I am not going to play games regarding this situation and I expect resolution at this time OR I will be contacting my own Attorney, once again, today." (THANKS everyone for sharing as it clued me in as to what to say to Supervisor Megan.) She hemmed and hawed and told me the cancellation number held her personally responsible for insuring those charges were removed from my account, blah, blah, blah. I told her she could paint it any color she wanted and that the number meant nothing ... I told her that unless my charges were removed within 7 business days, I would be filing paperwork to pursue a Class Action Lawsuit. I then told her that within 7 days I also expected CERTIFIED COPIES (3) of the "proof of enrollment” each representative cited. I also said I would be filing paperwork with my bank to dispute the charges and that after that, the company would be held federally liable for reimbursing those charges. True? Hell if I know but, it sounded like I knew what I was talking about. Certainly, I am smarter than Megan who was surely painting her toes during this exchange. NOTE: Both COMPLETE HOME and GREAT FUN is the SAME company, despite different 800 numbers. Megan was able to access BOTH those accounts. They have been ripping me off for longer than I care to divulge only because I'm an idiot and don't check my bank statement as diligently as I should. I will write again and let everyone know IF my scare tactics and subtle knowledge of the law helped in this situation. I am not hopeful given previous accounts of the promises made to others and lack of action thereafter. If there is a lawyer out there that can help with the possibility of a Class Action lawsuit...I'm listening AND I will do anything to get THAT ball rolling. Good luck everyone. Play hardball with these goons. Have your ducks in a row before contacting them. ASK FOR THREE CERTIFIED COPIES OF THE ENROLLMENT PROOF ...it scares them and shows you know more than the average Joe. Why 3 copies? A copy each for you, your attorney and the courts (all BS of course). I don't expect to get copies of anything as they are non-existent and not a single rep would talk with me after I asked for them. Forgive the rant, I am fired up. I realize my complaint is fragmented due to my brain working faster than my typing fingers.

YOU GET THIS IF YOU CLICK ON SOME FANDANGO SURVEY!

They will refund 2 months if you throw a big stink. I went on about how 1000s of ppl are getting charged and they didn't know it because of a wrong click...we careful when purchasing fandango stuff or clicking a link in their email to rate a movie!

UPDATE!

Well, after posting the same as everyone else here, and getting the same runaround as everyone it seems, my bank has refunded me the $11.99 I was being charged, and have filed against these fools!
Also, they have not charged me since then, although my bank was going to take care to make sure they would not be able to do it again, so...don't know if the bank did it or they actually quit.
I have not seen a 'return of monies' as Great Fun said they would do, but it has only been a couple of weeks, and they said up to 4 weeks till I got any money back from them...yeh...right!
Anyway, I would talk to your banks, credit card companies, etc. (mine was being deducted from my checking acct. via a debit card), and see if they will do for you what mine did for me.
I also had this link to show the bank which I think really helped as well, so they could see I was not an isolated case or I had messed up someone.
More update if anything else comes up.
Good luck to everyone, and screw GRETA FUN!

I called and was told this was part of classmates.com. I told him I didn't authorize them to charge anything so they cancelled the membership and are suppose to refund the 12.99 that was charged. I guess I will have to wait and see if it ever gets refunded.

Received a notice that Great Fun was increasing my membership unless I contacted them. I don't know what they are so I called the number but am told to call back. Checked Great Fun site and found that it's a credit card scam.

I contacted by credit card company but cannot do anything until I am charged; then I submit a dispute.

Law enforcement needs to find this outfit and shut it down. A lot of people are being charged who have never authorized it.

We have been unknowingly billed every month for 12 months for a $12.95 "Membership" . We have been paying the credit card without noticing the charge. American Express can only give us back credit for 2 months. We are furious. This is a scam. We were scamed at Orbits while getting airline tickets. Somehow we we were automatically subscribed.!

I don't know how I got pulled into this scam. My wife and I have to become more attentive when our charge bill arrives. I looked back and see that the scam artist have been charging us for sometime now. I tried calling Great funs phone number. I get a song and dance routine that their service personnel are backed up with calls call back later ! Click!. I called my credit cards number and told the rep. about this. He looked up and saw the charges, and put a stop payment on Great Fun for this month and the future. Hopefully this will end the charges. If any of you have done this in the past let me know through this website to rather or not it worked. Thank you.

I have three months of charges to this company and the only reason I caught it was b/c I am closing out my bank acc0unt. I did get someone at the company to cancel my account but was told I could only get two months refund! My bank (Wachovia) was not helpful AT ALL and would not help me in this dispute. I guess it's $36 I'll never see! They say that I signed up when I rejoined classmates.com.

Judging by the long llist of complaints i was reading it seems as if the money swipers struck again! I was charged $36 b/c I joined Columbia House and they sold this BS company my credit card info basically ... they covered their theft by saying by joining Columbia House I "authorized" joining them ... Wachovia helped a bit but basically now I am in the waiting period ... I got a cancellation number from TLG but Wachovia gives the merchant 7 days to refund before filing a dispute ... I know that its only $36 and definetly could have been WAY worse but in these times money is money ... I guess I am another victim ... :( ... was anyone actually refunded by this company?

Great Fun! NOT! WEB Theft, Credit Card FRaud! I had bought a airline ticket through Cheep Tickets . com and the some how my lady friend credit that we used to get the ticket has been getting pinged for a year or so for 11.99 a month for what? After calling, oh yeah they stopped the so called membership. But still they wont return the money they have stolen. IS there any atttorneys out there that would be willing to press a class action Law Suit against these ### holes. Or a attorney general that has any balls to go after these frauds. This kind of crap is what makes web transaction undueable. So don't use CheapTickets.com because they are a Co-Conspiritor in this scam they are the ones who gave up this most private info.

This company is such a scam. I'm a court reporter with lots of great attorneys for friends. I just threatened to sue them if they don't credit my card back and stop charging me for something I never signed up for. I received a "cancellation code" as well, and I guess we'll wait and see what happens. I know it's only $11.99 a month, but it's the point that matters. I will spend as much money as it takes to take these A-holes down if they continue to charge my account.

I just recieved a charge from these people (TLG greatfun) for 11.99 claiming to be a membership charge that I NEVER requested. It seems that they stay in business by charging people without their knowledge. SCAM, unreal that clicking yes for a 20 rebate offer commits you to a membership with these people without any warning, anyway I called them and cancelled but they still made 12 bucks off of me!

How did any of you actually get through to Great Fun's phone number? I have tried for 2 days now, the answer with a recording asking for membership number which they never sent me, or to spell my last name, give the number of my address, then my zip code, it then forwards me to another operator, with a recording saying "ALL LINES BUSY, CALL LATER" "CLICK"

Don't these Con Artist ever answer the phone. I did call my credit card company and talked to an honest to goodness person, the man put a stop payment and credited my account for $11.99. But still can't get Great Fun to answer. Anyone out there bringing a law suit against them?

Finally ! After numerous attempts where I got the recorded too busy to take call run around I finally got through and had this membership closed. Never found out from the lady who I talked to on how they got my wifes name on this membership. Will check my credit card transactions to make sure theres no more charges to Great Fun.
