Guardian Protection Products avoid at all costs

I purchased a warranty from guardian protection products for my leather chair. A month or two after the purchase, I noticed a bad scratch in the chair. I called their 1-800 number and left numerous messages with my warranty claim. They did not return any of my calls. I filed a complaint with the north carolina bbb. They told the bbb they had not received my phone calls. A lady named michelle called me and immediately denied my claim because she said scratches are not covered, even bad scratches. The warranty clearly stated that scratches are covered. I asked michelle what the warranty did cover, and she said rips are covered. I asked the difference between a scratch and rip, and she said you can see the foam underneath with a rip. I said I could see the foam underneath, and she said, "too late, you already said scratch" and hung up. She then wrote to the bbb and told them that she had offered me repair service and a full warranty refund and that I had declined both and threatened to sue her. This is without doubt the biggest scam company I have ever dealt with - avoid at all costs.

Guardian furniture protection, sells contracts to furniture stores, they get PAID then, furniture stores tell the LIE about service and then send you to guardian who now tell you, your warranty is void.
WHAT A RIP OFF/SCAM.!

Guardian Protection Products Scam and cheating

I am a new customer of Guardian Protection Services and I do not recommend that anyone establish a contract with Guardian Protection Services. They came out to my house and convince my wife to sign a contract (when I wasn’t home). I feel that they are the worst security company I have ever dealt with, they will “nickel and dime” you to death...

If they would have disclosed this to my wife before she sign the contract, we would have went with a better security service (who stands behind their equipment and installation 100%). I have had so many issues with their equipment and customer service and every time you call them to service their equipment, they will bill you for everything in addition to your monthly fee (What am I paying for?)...

I am to the point that I am not proud to have their sign in front of my house – I have neighbors that also did not have good things to say about them. DO NOT make the MISTAKE I made – if they would have told me it cost about $50 to show up and $25 per minute just to troubleshoot their equipment (for something you did not do) and if they need to replace anything (on this new equipment) there will be additional charges, I would NOT have had their equipment in my home, also they gave a quote to my wife of over $1, 300 to get out of their contract...

what are you paying for?! how about the fact that your home will be protected and a piece of mind. I agree with the other person get a freakin repair agreement. Just the same as getting car insurance. You get insurance on your car, you get an extended warranty on your car, you pay monthly in case something happens. We have SSA (spells a s s backwards... ironic?) and we want Guardian. I only have SSA because it was part of my rent on the garage I own. I have paid for Guardian to look at my system and I will pay them over the other company any time. Their tech takes time to explain to you and they are personal and I'm happy to have them local. I have a customer service rep that is close with my family and even though they work for Guardian they are always willing to help me because they know the system and they know how unhappy I am with my company. No matter what company you go to make sure you do your research. See where their central station is located-- is it in the same building as their customer service? Are they 24/7? Are they UL certified? This is all things that I have been told to look for. Guardian doesn't outsource their techs, customer service or central station. They are all in one building here in Pittsburgh. I support Guardian and I will continue to. Please reconsider your decision and give them a chance. Maybe your wife should have known better than to sign something with out talking to you first.

You could have signed up for a warranty service then you wouldn't be paying for any of those charges. If you were to buy a TV and you have the option to get an extended warranty but you opted not to and it broke after the original warranty would you be on here crying?

Guardian Protection Products Stay away

We are active military forced to move each 2-3 years- tricked into 5 year deal w/Guardian for security. It's been a 4 1/2 year battle that you can not believe. I've moved 3 times in 4 1/2 years and I'm still fighting to get out of this mess. They will not work with me. Renter in my AZ house wanted to take over service adding 6 months to the time we had left. They want me to keep it my name and have them pay me! Run screaming from these crooks! They SUCK.

No one would EVER spend their time rudely refuting a consumer's complaint unless they were what are called "sock puppets" on behalf of Guardian pretending to be an unbiased commenter. It's propaganda, plain and simple.

Hey Mike Sr.. Not every one should have to be a lawyer.
I thought when I paid monyhly fee and extended service plan, that Guardian Protection had and would up hold thier obligation, and I was wrong, With my experience no on really got involved until they wanted money that I had stopped sending. I would send a payment after a customer service representive had promised to take care of service issues and apoliguiseto me for issues not being fixed. After quite a few times of this happening, I finally gave up on them and stopped making payments, I just wanted out of the contract.. They knew what they had to do to get money from me without fixing or reconnecting my service that they had shut off. THey want me to pay for what they didnt provide me, because of a contract that protects thier right for payment, Not consumers rights for service.
BUYER BEWARE.. Better check BBB pages for your state, and look at number of complaints.
I wish I had.

They tricked you by you not reading your contract? You stated on another site that they wrote in 5 yrs over the 3 yrs after you signed your contract but there are 3 to 5 copies of the contract and you get one when you sign it so writing in changes on the contract wouldn't work since you have an "original" copy. Also, keeping the service in your name even if you are renting out the house is just their policy. I have system through them and I have renters as well just add it to the rent and move on with your life. If you would like you can post your address and I'll send you some tissues to wipe those tears.
