Beware of HeatingOil.com and Heat USA: A Consumer Advocate Company That's Not What It Seems
HeatingOil.com and Heat USA (heatusa.com) are the same company, but with different names and 800 numbers. They got the same CEO, employees, and address. They claim to be a Consumer Advocate Company, but they are not what they seem to be. HeatOil.com and Heat USA say they serve their paying members at Heat USA, and HeatingOil.com is free, getting you the lowest price on fuel and heating equipment. But that's not true, don't believe it. If you go to their website, you won't find any oil prices listed that you should be paying. And if you call their customer service, they won't tell you what you'll be paying either. HeatingOil.com says, "Trust us to get you a lower price," but don't do it. You'll end up paying so much more. I paid almost a dollar more per gallon for heating oil. And HeatingOil.com says they'll save you hundreds of dollars on heating equipment, but I paid almost $2,000.00 more as a member of Heat USA. So, to all my fellow homeowners, please do your homework, be your own consumer advocate, and you'll see why I say, "Stay Away from Heat USA and HeatingOil.com."
