Herff Jones What a joke of a company

What a joke of a company. They do not answer the phone and I have never received my products. I was wary from other complaints, so I drove 2.5 hours away to buy my cap and gown in person or I would not have those either. I ordered my announcements almost a months ago. I was told 10 business days *** and 3-5 to ship the announcements to me. I have never received a shipping confirmation email and my graduation is this weekend! This makes these announcements worthless as no one will receive them in the mail before I graduate. Do yourself a favor and buy local from reputable companies that care to earn your business. This is clearly a "mill" type company that takes your money up front, does not communicate, answer their phone, or produce the products you purchased. After 4 long hard years at *** and graduating *** this is an enormous disappointment from this excuse of a company.

HORRIBLE! Our son graduated back on May 7th, all he need was his hood. After countless promises, the hood arrived two days after his graduation and guess what, IT IS THE WRONG HOOD. Herff Jones sent some hood that was not even close to his university's colors. The day of graduation Herff Jones sent some generic hoods to the university that looked like bandanas on the graduates. Contacted our university's customer representative, *** several times and was given so many excuses and then eventually he would not return my call at all. Calling Herff Jones customer service is a total JOKE. I do not have four to six hours waiting on the phone for the next available person, who in turn does not know what they are doing and are only looking at a computer screen. All we want is the correct hood so my son can get some formal pictures made, which have had to be cancelled twice. If Herff Jones could not fulfill their orders they should not promise delivery by graduation. Graduations usually are scheduled the same time every year, do you not have stock? Looking a the other reviews looks like I am one of hundreds who are complaining. SCHOOLS NEED TO FIND OTHER ROUTES WHEN IT COMES TO ORDERING GRADUATION REGALIA.

Placed order in March. Received cap, gown, hood a day before I flew to my graduation. Hood was not sewn correctly, had to take out the stitching and resew it in my hotel room. Received email today stating announcements finally have been sent out. Sent out 2 weeks after I graduated! So happy that I spent nearly $400 on a package that's practically useless now. Was going to ask for a refund for everything I did not receive like the announcements, cert. of appreciation, and the extra announcements, if I could get through to customer service. *** is also useless as they can't see what the warehouse is doing and only gives generic responses. Company takes on more than they can fulfill and the students are the ones that suffer.

What is going on with this company? Placed my order for college graduation announcement 4/20/22 for a ceremony happening 5/22. Well, we are 4 days post-graduation and no one replies back, not even the representative I spoke with. Order still says "In Progress". Strongly suggest schools look at another company who is truly committed to being a part of such a special moment in the lives of so many students, and not this one who only added frustration to what should otherwise be a joyous time.

I placed an order for the yearbook back in December and received it in May 2022.I requested to see where was my order and I received the yearbook through the school.I noticed that one small print of my child's photo was listed in the yearbook. The company mentioned that I have to request a refund from the school and the organization but my refund was denied. I have blindly placed an order for an item or product that I was not able to view beforehand and was unable to return due to the quality of the product.

Herff Jones I called for a whole week and I kept getting different answers

I called for a whole week and I kept getting different answers. At one point they told me " it should ship tomorrow" when that never happen I call again and was on hold for 3 hrs and didn't get anyone to answer the phone. I call again and I was pass down to different representatives (three) that asked the same questions and had no resolution nor honest response. I specifically call to let them know when my graduation date was and wanting to know if my gown would be delivered on time. I got different answers and unfulfilled promises. I understand the supply chain issue and shortage of workers. What I don't appreciate is providing false information to customers, waiting for hrs to get someone to answer and not offering a resolution. No one ever said " will give you a refund or the option to cancel the order". If you can't deliver your product don't lead the customer to believing that you will. Overall, my next step is to cancel my order and get my money back.

Horrible company. Had no other choice but to use this company as this was the only option provided by my school. Never responded to my emails. Missing the most important part of my graduation outfit -- my doctoral hood. I spent an incredible amount of time and effort working on my doctorate and this is the outcome. Did not have complete regalia for pictures. Horrible management. Sure, blame it on supply chain... but you know graduation season happens every single year at literally the same time each year... could you not have planned for this? Took my money and did not deliver.

I was forced to endure two of Herff Jones' most disrespectful representatives on 05/20/2022. My order was made a month ago, still showing as pending without any clear answer as to what is happening. One representative referred me to contact the college's bookstore to purchase graduation regalia, which was an absurd suggestion. When I asked for her manager, she claimed she did not have one. She continued to speak over me as I was speaking and then disconnected the call. I was not surprised to see the negative reports on Complaintsboard.com. ALL SCHOOLS NEED TO FIND ANOTHER SUPPLIER. This is absolutely the worst experience I have had in my entire life.

Herff Jones I am a graduate student at a university and my graduation is on May 7, 2022

I am a graduate student at a university and my graduation is on May 7, 2022. We had a deadline of April 4 to place our order, and that deadline was met. I have made several attempts to call(2hr wait then hang up, or no answer) and I have emailed them twice to see if my products will be here before I leave for my graduation. No feedback no response nothing! I did not get my invites in time enough to give them out to family and friends, I will request a refund! I wasnt able to use them! I am having to spend extra money to see if there are other ways for me to get my products. This is ridiculous! There is no change in status or anything. I honestly do not feel this company care for their customers! This company know graduation is held every year it makes no sense for them to lack when people stress out if their products are not there by graduation. I would love to be contacted regarding this because Ive worked hard the past two years in school, and this company is disappointing! There are several complaints on *** as well about this company.

Completely not happy with company! Graduation is 1 week away for my daughter and no cap and gown yet. Cap and gown were ordered about 8 weeks ago. She was told they will be shipped over night but they are still "Processing"-no shipment date offered. If she doesnt receive it by mail, the school will have additional regalia to rent. Sure hope they have enough for all students because it is not looking promising at this point that anyone will receive anything. Then it is our responsibility to get a refund from HJ after we send back our mail order cap and gown...what if they never show up?Doesn't appear that is going well for other people either per all the reviews. This is the last thing to be worrying about during finals weeks. These are the kids that have messed *** years due to Covid and now may have a messed up graduation. I tried calling the company rep for the school myself..voicemail says they are receiving a high volume of call (surprising!) and it may be 48 hours for return call. We'll that would be if the mailbox wasn't full already and I could actually leave a message. Just ridiculous!

First thing I want to say is I understand Herff Jones works around the clock to get graduation gear out on time. About 2-3 weeks ago, I started calling Herff Jones and my school to get into contact because I have not received my graduation cap and gown. I ordered my cap and gown on March 21st, 2022. My school, which is located in a specific area, directed me to my local representative. I have emailed Yona about my inquiry several times and she does not respond. I do understand she is under stress with all the orders. However, I emailed several times once again and did not receive a response. Instead, she copies and pastes the generic messages she sends to every customer on when their order is arriving. However, I just took graduation portraits on May 10, 2022, and I did not have my cap, gown, and stole. I emphasized 'stole' because unfortunately, I was unable to take portraits with my stole. My school did provide me with my cap and gown. However, my stole is also important. I understand this is no one's fault; however, the lack of communication and terrible customer service from my local representative is unprofessional and terrible. Now, for my portraits, I have to do an entire private session for when my stole does arrive. The private session costs $200, and I find it unfair how I have to pay money out of my pocket to do this session. My father has requested for Herff Jones to pay for my private session, but once again, there was no reply. I need assistance as soon as possible as this is a major inquiry. I would like to request a refund and for Herff Jones to pay for my private photoshoot.

I have tried to call three times this week about an order I placed a month ago. First day, on hold before call dropped. Second day, call wouldn't even ring regardless of having called multiple times throughout the day. Today I spend 3 1/2 hours on hold waiting for help. They closed before I could get help. My order has been 'in progress' for three weeks, for 25 announcements for the graduation happening this weekend. Very disappointed.

FRAUDULENT COMPANY! SCHOOLS STOP USING! Ruining graduation memories. Cap broken so no tassel attaches to it and gown zipper is broke. 3 days till graduation and no response to a replacement asked for via their website a month ago. On hold for 3 hours no customer service answers. No one responds to emails. Look at all their complaints on FB. SO MANY so many complaints they shut commenting down. News organizations also reporting negligence about them. So sad!

Herff Jones Ordered graduation announcements on 2/11 on line

Ordered graduation announcements on 2/11 on line. Made an error and called Herff Jones on 2/12. They couldnt cancel the order but for $37.47 more, I was able to order new announcements with the correct info. I was told the original announcements would not be sent, just the correct ones. A few weeks later, my order arrived with the incorrect announcements. I called Herff Jones and was told they other ones would come soon. I waited. On 3/15, I called again. I was told that they did send the correct ones. I took a photo and emailed it to the rep. She said she couldnt see it. Over the next three weeks, I had contact with her. She would say she couldnt see my photos or ask what was the problem. I called back again on 4/8. I spoke to a man who said he was sorry and would send them right out. That was 10 days ago and still no announcements. The graduation is in 7 days. Ive been dealing with this company for two months and getting a huge run around. This has been a huge disappointment. Absolutely ridiculous! I would not recommend Herff Jones to anyone. Horrible customer service!

All I needed was a tassel for graduation and they couldn't even send it to the right address; they sent it to a completely different location. Mind you, I'm in a different area altogether and I don't know how I'm going to get a tassel before my commencement now. Also, their website is glitchier than an iPod Touch, so honestly, it's the worst thing I've had to deal with in my senior year. Thank you, Herff Jones.

As many others have stated, I ordered my cap and gown well over a month ago just to be 3 days away from my graduation with no product and no hope that it will make it in time. The first time I called was about 3 weeks ago and they said it should ship the next week. When nothing changed on the status page a called again just to be told that I should reach out to my college for an alternative or maybe try Amazon! Seriously, this is an important moment for me and many others and Im basically being told oh well! Perhaps dont promote a promise that orders will ship in time when this is not the case. I now have to hope that I can find the pieces I need in order to attend my graduation.

My son ordered his cap & gown back on April 9. We waited almost 3 weeks and finally I called the company. It is bad enough you have to wait on hold for over an hour before you speak to someone or you may get disconnected while waiting to speak to someone and you have to try the process again. When I finally reached someone, I was able to speak to ***. She assured me that my son's cap and gown was going to be sent out. When it didn't arrive within the 2 weeks as she assured me, I called back. I spoke to a representative who was very condescending and all I wanted to know is when I was going to get my son's cap & gown because he would be graduating that next weekend. I explained to her that we were leaving three days before the graduation and that I wanted to speak to a supervisor. She refused to let me do so, but she stated that she emailed the supervisor and that the supervisor informed her that they would mail it express and I should receive it by Monday. Monday has come and gone and as of yet, we have not received it. Now we are stuck! I would never order from Herff Jones. "

The only reason they receive one star is because I cant give them zero. I placed an order almost a month ago, and graduation date is fast approaching next week. With the troubles that *** is currently experiencing, I do not foresee receiving my order prior to graduation day since it has not yet been mailed out. Upon reaching out to customer service, I was told that it MIGHT be mailed out in the next 3-4 days. I was spoken to very condescendingly and unprofessionally. Finally when I was asked if there would be someone else I could speak with, I was told that there was no one else. I was told that there are no managers, no supervisors, no one above her with whom I could speak. I asked for her name, and she rudely spelled it S. H. A. D. Y. I explained that I found it hard to believe there was no person that she reports to and she then told me she would transfer me to a member of the leadership team. This was only to be hung up on. Upon returning the call I was met with someone even more rude who talked over me, told me that no one above her would want to speak with me and that if I had a problem with them file a complaint with the Complaintsboard.com.

Herff Jones This company is awful and takes advantage of poor college kids!

This company is awful and takes advantage of poor college kids! They are money seeking and do not care that we are going through a pandemic! I requested a refund March 24th, and instead of processing my refund they sent me my cap & gown on June 10th (three times). This company has very little regard to environment, shipping caps and gowns that people had requested refunds on MONTHS prior to the ship date. Not only that, but when THREE sets of caps & gowns arrived to my house on June 18th, I proceeded with returning these packages with the pre-paid return label they provided. I was told that as soon as my packages were returned, the company would be processing my refund. My caps & gowns arrived at the facility on June 26th... AGAIN instead of processing my refund, they shipped my order to my house for the second time! Screwing me out of my refund AGAIN! This company only cares about the money and has no regard to the damage on the environment they're doing with all the packaging and fuel used on shipping these orders. I'm extremely disappointed with this company and I hope they start to have some regard to peoples needs after they read all of their negative reviews and their reputation starts to be ruined.

Would be better to give them zero stars. To start, their customer service is terrible. From the time in February when I order my cap, gown, and announcements to now, they have been anything but helpful. First they sent me the wrong tassel, tried to get me to return everything for a "refund", and then purchase everything again just for a tassel. Once that was figured out, COVID-19 cancelled my commencement. I could not get a straight answer from any customer service representative on what to do. I finally returned everything--cap, gown, stole, incorrect tassel, and announcements--all in one package. Two days later, Herff Jones finally replied to my email and told me cap and gown were to go to Indiana while the announcements were to go to Florida. Gee, thanks. They received my return March 27th. Since then, I have been fighting to receive a refund. I filed a complaint with the Complaintsboard.com May 4th and received a response from Herff Jones on May 12th. They said they would give me a full refund in 2-10 business days. Today, May 29th, I did receive a refund; of $97.11. This is not the $2020.21 I was guaranteed. Two no-reply emails and a phone call later, Herff Jones has no idea if they will refund me the other $105.10. I will be filing another complaint as this is ridiculous. Herff Jones is the reason why I am hesitant to participate in my university's rescheduled commencement in December.

DO NOT AND I REPEAT, DO NOT ORDER YOUR GRADUATION REGALIA FROM THIS COMPANY! This is a mistake you will sorely regret as I am right now. I ordered all of my regalia months before the drop dead date advertised and have not received ANYTHING! No Cap, Gown, Hood, or tassel. My graduation is in 4 day and I planned on attending the festivities the day before. This has all been ruined. I live in a different state from where the graduation will be held as most online students and I have nothing!What I worked soooo hard for has been ruined. I do not even want to attend my graduation and that's very sad. I am in the process of trying to borrow friends gowns, cap, and praying for a hood for my masters. I am at the mercy of whatever the school bookstore has (and they are not even answering their phone). They have already stated that at most it would be a cap and gown.Herff Jones has totally screwed me in every way. Although their customer service team is very polite on the phone, they hold absolutely no power to do anything. I have been "In Progress" for months with no change in my status. What supposed to be a wonderful, celebratory time is very stressful, ruined, and miserable.I totally don't know what to do at the point. I have family traveling (flying) from 4 different states and I have nothing. By they way, did I mention my graduation is 4 days away!I would not even give them one star but we have to put something down.

Herff Jones I'm incredibly disappointed

I'm incredibly disappointed. I placed an order with HJ on Monday, Feb 28 at 11:29 AM ET for my cap and gown. I ordered with the understanding that it would be 4 to 6 weeks before I received it. Understood. It's been going on 9 Weeks and I have yet to receive my order. I had graduation photos planned for *** and was relying o n having my *** in time for photos. Now I'm truly concerned I won't even have it in time for graduation which is exactly two weeks away. It's been tough getting customer service on a call. The first time I spoke to someone mid *** they said there were delays, that it's processing still but I should have a tracking number by the following week. I never received it. I spoke to someone today who told me that they can only see it was processing. They transferred me over to customer service. I sat in on the phone waiting for an hour for the call to just be forwarded it to voicemail. This isn't an ideal experience at all and it disrupts the joys of graduation. Furthermore, what I also find weird is that some of my peers in school have already received theirs even though they placed their orders days or weeks after I did. It seems orders are not processed in the order of which they were placed which is disappointing. I'm trying to maintain high hopes but it's been over two months, graduation is 2 weeks away and I still don't have my cap and gown. The only thing HJ has done is sent automated emails letting me know that it will be here in time for graduation which I'm honestly not confident in. I'm not even sure what to do next as my school's book store doesn't even sell ***s. This is my only option.

Now, for my portraits, I have to do an entire private session for WHEN MY STOLE DOES ARRIVE. The private session costs $200, and I find it UNFAIR how I have to pay money out of my pocket to do this session. My father has requested for HERFF JONES to pay for my private session, HOWEVER once again *** did not reply. I need assistance as soon as possible as this is a major inquiry. Herff Jones I placed an order for graduation announcements for my son who is graduating from college

I placed an order for graduation announcements for my son who is graduating from college. After placing the order I did not receive an email confirming the order. Fortunately, I took a screen shot of the order (as a form of proof of my order). After waiting about a week, I called and stayed on hold almost an hour to inquire about my order as it was due to ship out, "UP to 10 business days" and/or were due to ship out on a Friday (with Friday being the full 10 days). The person I spoke with stated that they required one extra "business day" which would place shipping on the following Monday. Well, nothing was shipped. I attempted to reach the company via the web and got no response. I called again, stayed on hold for almost an hour and my call was answered by a lady named B----. I explained the situation to B---- and she kept over talking me and asked for my email address. Once provided she asked me to check to see if I received the email. I said yes, it says, "I am sorry you didn't receive the confirmation email . . ." I giggled a little and went on to say that I just wanted a refund as the announcements would not be of any use. B---- went on to say that I am going to give you a better deal and offered to send out the announcements that we clearly could NOT USE . . . minus the shipping and handling fee and accused me of being rude because I giggled and B ---- kept over talking me. I attempted to explain that I had been on hold for the last 49 minutes and I was not being rude. In my attempt to provide that her offer was unacceptable and that I wanted to cancel the order for a FULL REFUND she over talked me and said she would send me another email and hung up the phone on me. BEWARE...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING! I wish I had only checked the reviews BEFORE placing an order.

Beyond devastated by my experience w/ Herff Jones. I placed my order 3/13/22 for my MBA graduation date 5/5/22 w/ pics on 5/4. I live out of state from my university, so I must travel Monday, 5/2. It has been 5+ weeks since placing my *** order for just under $250. I was told orders ship between 2 to 3 week. I expected worst case, I'd hhave my order 4 wks. Not only am I concerned about my order, & the stress of missing out on the event, I own a business I must shutdown so I can travel. I reserved one of the last hotel rooms in the area for over $425 per night, & then many other travel expenses. I am not allowed to participate w/out full regalia & to be honest, who wants to drive over 6 hrs each *** thousands of dollars to graduate when they don't even have their regalia? I agree with other posts here, each time you call, it's an "I can't tell you when it will ship" "I'm sorry we are working on it" "you can go to your university bookstore & buy a backup *** meanwhile, no information on the manufacturer they use, so I can make contact. No assurance at all I will receive my order before May 2nd. As a grown woman who works ffull-time, mother to 3, owns a business, has missed out on so much with my children (even Easter yesterday) so I could remain diligent in my studies to graduate, this is sadly the memory I will be left w/. I have had so many defeating days I wanted to quit grad school, reminding myself the end was near & I could celebrate. Now, 2 weeks to the day, I'm supposed to be on the road traveling for graduation, I instead have to plan to call my hotel to find out how to cancel my reservation at the last possible minute to avoid risking an absorbent lodging fee, among other travel expenses to potentially not be allowed to participate in commencement if I don't have regalia. I can *** on the school bookstore having what I need, but they won't let me order until I'm physically preset & won't hold orders, so that's risky.

I received the incorrect Tassel for the third time, regardless of how many times I attempted to rectify the situation with customer service representatives. It's completely pointless and a waste of time. After they sent me the wrong order twice, I called customer service because the email stated "please review your order upon receipt to ensure accuracy," and I waited 45 minutes on the phone. "***" answered who immediately complained about how many customers she had been dealing with and told me the only way to ensure accuracy was to open the box when I received. How disgusting her answer was to a customer trying to correct the purchase. Why would I call and verify the accuracy if I am going to receive a response like this? They've messed up my order twice, and this is the response that a customer should receive? My order arrived yesterday. As I expected, they sent me another incorrect order. And it's the third time in a row. As a result, I called back (after another 40 minutes). At this point, I'm irritated and resentful that I placed an order with this company. "someone" answered the phone; I informed her of the problem and requested her to verify the amount of my refund. I was told that she had no information of the order's details and was unaware of the amount I paid. And she has no idea how much I should receive as a refund. Thus, she placed me on hold while she sought assistance from her manager. When she returned, she told me that the order totaled $11.95, which is incorrect. And I corrected her the amount I paid and requested refund with the shipping fees. She said she wasn't sure if I could get my shipping back (which is ridiculous because why should I have to pay for shipping if they can't even send the correct item.) I purchased my 'Graduation Regalia', 'Souvenir Tassel', and 'Achievement Stole'. I only received the proper gown, received the wrong color tassel (i received yellow, supposed to get orange as my major is engineering and orange is the engineering colored tassel), received the 'Souvenir Tassel', and did not receive my 'Achievement Stole' at all. I contacted Herff Jones on 4/20, was told by the male customer service rep (CSR) that the items would be sent and would arrive before my graduation date of 5/2, i had the sales rep assure me it would be here within a week on 4/20. i called back on 4/28 to see if i could get any tracking info as i did not receive anything yet and was told by a female rep (who was extremely rude from the beginning of the call back that i oped for) that nothing was sent, and that the first rep just "sent an email to the graduation department", and that she "has to wait for an email response as calling is a waste of time". she told me she would be calling me back once she has any new information and i never received a call back. after 8 days, i called back on 5/6 and spoke to someone named 'Nona' who ASSURED ME she would call me back on the next day (5/7) and if i did not answer she would leave me a voicemail. this did not happen. i still do not have my product. i still do not have my money back from what i did not receive. and i still missed graduation photos with my product because of this total and complete lack of professionalism from this company. i spent $132 dollars and received maybe a 1/3 of the product i ordered. my order # is C.

I ordered my regalia on May 2, 2022. My ceremony is this Saturday, only two days away, and it's taking place in a town in upstate New York. I have a seven-hour journey ahead of me the day before to make it there. Unfortunately, I'm missing my hood. My order was supposed to include a cap, gown, hood, and tassel, along with two extra souvenir tassels. When my order arrived on May 23, it was missing the original tassel and the hood. There was a postcard included explaining that there were manufacturing issues and that the missing items would be sent expedited, noting my graduation date. Yet, here I am on June 2nd, with graduation just two days away, and I still don't have my complete regalia. I've been trying to call all day but haven't been able to reach anyone. I've double-checked my order with the reference number provided by the internet. It appears I have two shipments: one was delivered, but the other, which I hoped contained my hood, was canceled. I'm in the dark about what's happening, and it's incredibly frustrating to think I might have to walk the stage without my full regalia. At this point, if I'm forced to wear just the cap and gown with one of my souvenir tassels, then I expect a refund. It's clear they didn't send everything on time. When I call the automated system, it informs me that my items will be shipped up until the day before my ceremony. That's useless to me, as I won't be at home to receive it! I am thoroughly dissatisfied with this entire process.

This company is not big enough to handle all the schools they deal with. You can never get a live person unless you show up at their office. They give you dates when you will have items delivered and they show up late. I got my childs grad invites 3 weeks before graduation. I was told she would have her Sr *** by graduation and it hasnt showed up yet. They have no idea where it is at.

The confirmation stated that it should ship within 2-3 weeks of placing the order. Im supposed to receive an email with tracking information when it ships. I tried using the online order status, but it was saying it couldnt find any information on my order. I called 4/8/22 and waited on hold for over an hour. The representative said it was still in production and should be shipped in about a week. After I still had not received a shipping confirmation, I called again 4/26/22. I didnt wait long at all this time. The representative said that it had not been shipped but it is set to be delivered May 12. My graduation is May 14. I wasnt able to have graduation pictures done with a cap and gown, and on 5/10/22, I STILL have not received a shipping confirmation email. I called my university, and they said I can bring the confirmation to them and they can get me my regalia. My university is 30 minutes away, so I am going to have to take PTO from work on Friday to get my regalia because at this point, I dont see any way it could be here on time. Considering I only had the option of ordering from Herff Jones, Im very frustrated. I tried to be proactive and order 2 1/2 months in advance (as soon as I got the first email about ordering regalia) and now Im majorly stressed about it not getting here on time, having to take time off of work, and all of this being during finals week. I have worked really hard for my degree, and I hate that I have to be so stressed out about graduation when it should be a relief. My order number is CPA31161-[protected].

I ordered a graduation package from Herff Jones on April 1st. I chose the option to have it delivered to my home. The package included 25 graduation invites, a cap, gown, sash, tassel and hood. I received the graduation invites within 10 business days. I did receive my cap and gown sometime early May, with the wrong year tassel and the wrong year sash. My hood was missing. I tried contacting Herff Jones both through email and phone without success. I received an email notifying that my hood would be delivered within 1 day of graduation. I graduated May 21st. I was able to borrow a sash from another graduate, and buy a tassel and hood from the bookstore. I still have not heard or received any more items pertaining to my order.

On April 10, 2022 I purchased my regalia from Herff Jones in the amount of $151.48 with GUARANTEE of receiving my full order DELIVERED AT MY ADDRESS PROVIDED before my graduation date. I received my cap and gown without my doctoral hood, with a card claiming that there is a delay but that i STILL will get my order prior to my graduation. On May 18 (TWO DAYS BEFORE CEREMONY), i received an email from my school claiming Herff Jones was providing hoods at the bookstore (once again, not shipped to my address). I arrived as soon as I was able to , where I was then told that they were OUT of doctoral hoods and they would look for more, to call back later. I indeed called the following evening where I was once again told that there were none remaining, but that they had hoods that were "close enough" that included a MASTERS hood of a DIFFERENT color. This is the most important accomplishment of my life that only happens ONCE. I never received an update from Herff Jones that the hoods would be at the bookstore, and how dare they not even send enough? On May 19, the day before my ceremony they continued to not answer calls, with several of my classmates being on hold for THREE HOURS with no refund. This company is completely incompetent, and caused severe stress during what should have been the happiest time of my life. I demand a FULL refund as I did not get what I was GUARANTEED when making the payment.

This is in regards to my recent order. I called 2 weeks ago, and you told me it would be shipped by June 3rd. However, today I received an email stating it would ship 1-2 days before my graduation. That is unacceptable, as I will be traveling on June 17th, via RV and staying at a campground. My graduation is on June 24th. It has been 6 weeks since I placed my order, and I was told the delivery time would be 4-6 weeks, not 9 weeks. If this order is not shipping by June 3rd, I need to cancel the order and request a full refund.

I was on hold for 1 hour and 47 minutes. When someone finally answered, they told me I had to be transferred to another department. I have now been on hold for an additional 37 minutes waiting for the other department to answer as I write this complaint. What is wrong with this organization? I still can't get through to anyone via email or telephone.

I purchased my graduation regalia for $97.36 from Herff Jones on 5/16. 2 days later, on the 18th I contacted Herff Jones's customer service to cancel my order. Their website says if you cancel within 72 hours, you will get a full refund but they did not respond. 7 days later (5/25), I contacted them through their website again and sent an additional email to their customer service address asking for my refund. Still, no response. 7 days later (today 6/1) I tried calling them and after 60 minutes on hold, a customer service rep answered. She said my order shipped today and she would email me instructions for a return and refund. No surprise, the email didn't come, nor any notification of my order shipping. If you look at the online reviews of this company you will find hundreds of complaints similar to mine and worse. This company is scamming me and thousands of students. I want my money back and I want them to stop ruining the graduation celebrations of thousands of hard working families.

My confirmation email states this as well. I never received a shipping confirmation and my roommates who ordered at the exact same time as me received their cap and gowns within a few days to a week (I sent them the link to order from so we all ordered from the same link). When I contacted Herff Jones via phone the representative told me that I did in fact request that it be shipped to my house. The representative called the warehouse to correct the issue and said I should receive a shipping confirmation within a few days. She confirmed this via email the next day. After still not receiving a shipping confirmation, I contacted Herff Jones via email. They informed me that I did not order from the correct website for the ship to home option, and it will be delivered to the bookstore WEEKS later on April 27th. I scheduled my graduation photos before this date. However, as I previously mentioned, I sent my roommates the link to order and we all ordered from the same link and they received theirs to our home address. I sent Herff Jones a screenshot of my confirmation email stating that it would be shipped to my home address and they just did not respond. I sent them several emails requesting additional support and status updates and they simply do not respond. If the item was promised to be shipped to my house, it should be shipped to my house on the date as promised and the business representatives are lying and avoiding admitting their mistake and addressing the problem. I should have received my order no more than 2-3 weeks after placing my order in February but now will not even be able to pick up my order until April 27th.

I received no shipping updates for my cap and gown order and I lost a $200 deposit for graduation photos because my regalia did not ship in time as promised. I knew it would not come in time and ordered elsewhere and a phone representative directed me to cancel my order. I submitted the online form for cancellation and called to confirm and it shipped anyway despite my cancellation. No money back even though I cancelled and was assured by customer service that I would receive a FULL REFUND.

I placed an order with them on March 28, 2022 for a cap, gown, and two stoles of gratitude. My order number is *** I received the cap and gown, but did not receive both stoles before my graduation. I have emailed them more times than I can count and I received the exact regurgitated auto response every time. I have continuously requested a refund, and my issue was not addressed at all. The number I called posted on their site never worked, I never got ahold of anyone from customer service, and quite frankly I'm thinking of taking them to court because their company didn't deliver items that I paid for. This site may possibly be conducting fraudulent business practices since they have not responded to my refund request. My graduation was May 14th, it is May 28th, and I still haven't heard a word from them outside of their auto response emails offering zero help to my issue.

Herff Jones I'm incredibly disappointed

I'm incredibly disappointed. I placed an order with HJ on Monday, Feb 28 at 11:29 AM ET for my cap and gown. I ordered with the understanding that it would be 4 to 6 weeks before I received it. Understood. It's been going on 9 Weeks and I have yet to receive my order. I had graduation photos planned and was relying on having my cap and gown in time for photos. Now I'm truly concerned I won't even have it in time for graduation which is exactly 10 days. It's been tough getting customer service on a call. Absolutely impossible. The first time I spoke to someone mid April they said there were delays, that it's processing still but I should have a tracking number by the following week. I never received it. I spoke to someone last week who told me that they can only see it was processing. They transferred me over to customer service. I sat in on the phone waiting for an hour for the call to just be forwarded it to voicemail. This isn't an ideal experience at all and it disrupts the joys of graduation. My school told me that all orders placed before April 8 will be delivered by May 7. I placed mine on 2/28 and still nothing. The status of this morning May 9 says "processing." Furthermore, what I also find weird is that some of my peers in school have already received theirs even though they placed their orders days or weeks after I did. It seems orders are not processed in the order of which they were placed which is disappointing. I'm trying to maintain high hopes but it's been over two months, graduation is 2 weeks away and I still don't have my cap and gown. The only thing HJ has done is sent automated emails letting me know that it will be here in time for graduation which I'm honestly not confident in. I'm not even sure what to do next as my school's book store doesn't even sell cap and gowns. This is my only option.

We ordered my daughters cap/tassel/gown on April 6, 2022. I had my daughter call last week and they said they were going to ship her *** graduation regalia on the 19th. This morning, I called the company and emailed and finally got through to a gentleman and he said they would expedite shipping and I should try back again this afternoon. To no surprise and after reading reviews, there has been no update and I paid expedited shipping so I know his claim to expedite shipping was false. My daughter graduates in less than a week and we have literally exhausted all options to line up a cap and gown. I am furious and she should not have to worry about not walking because of someone elses errors much less a company the school contracts through for graduation. We want her graduation regalia that we paid over $275 including the expedited shipping. They should be ashamed of themselves for not being honest about fulfilling orders. Its ridiculous and they should be put out of business if not sued for causing emotional distress and conning parents and hardworking students out of their hard earned money and time for lack of communication and lack of fulfilling their promise to deliver the products they are advertising.

I ordered package 2 for my son's graduation, which was supposed to include a cap, gown, announcements, thank you cards, envelope seals, a share of the stage, a clip, a hood, and a stole. The cap, gown, hood, stole, and thank you cards were all missing. I was assured they would be shipped separately and arrive before the graduation date. A subsequent shipment arrived with the cap and gown, accompanied by a note reassuring me that the remaining items would arrive before graduation. However, my son has already graduated without receiving these items, which tarnished his special day. He stood out from his peers receiving their bachelor's degrees because he lacked the hood, stole, and thank you cards.

Additionally, when we logged on today, there was no clip of him from the graduation studio's coverage. Our disappointment is profound, and we demand a refund as you guaranteed the arrival of these items before the graduation. We were charged $475 for package 2, and many items are still missing. This was a significant event for us. I have reached out via email and endured a hold time of over an hour in an attempt to speak with customer service, to no avail, as the hold times exceed 150 minutes. This is unacceptable! My emails go unanswered, leaving me no choice but to seek help through this platform. Considering the other complaints on this site and the excessive wait times, it's clear that this issue has affected many others. I am requesting a refund and the delivery of the stole as a keepsake for my son, given that you have completely marred this occasion. I placed an order for a graduation package 3 on April 22nd of 2022. They claim to track your graduation progress, but that's simply not true. When you call the customer service line, the agents just read from a script and are completely unhelpful; they can't issue a refund or cancel your order. My graduation is on May 26, this Thursday, and I haven't received anything from Herff Jones. I later discovered that my school allows you to pick up the items in the bookstore, which makes me question the purpose of offering an online purchase option a month in advance if they don't send anything. They talk about next-day air shipping, but that's laughable. Nothing was sent to me with next-day delivery, so now I have to go to my school to pick up the items myself. I've submitted a cancellation request, and they had better refund my money. I'm appalled by the way this company operates. They fail to fulfill their promises. The negative reviews from various customers, upset and angry at their inability to process orders, are spot on.

My internet reference order number is CPA10350-[protected]. I demand a refund. It's abysmal progress for an order placed on April 22. If I don't receive my money back by the end of this week, the 27th, I'm initiating a chargeback with my credit card company. They should issue refunds to everyone whose order wasn't sent out. This company lacks any trustworthiness or accountability, as evidenced by the absence of a Trustpilot page or similar. It's clear they're scamming people by taking money without providing anything in return. They're nothing short of thieves.

I purchased my graduation regalia on March 19, 2022. Along with many of my peers, I never received the hood or tassel for my doctorate regalia. I was never contacted about when and how I would receive the hood before graduation and no one answered the customer service phones. However the week of graduation, I received a forwarded email from the campus bookstore that they had hoods. When I arrived, the Herff Jones representative handed me the wrong hood with no explanation or apology. I didnt realize it was the wrong hood until later when a peer pointed it out to me and said the same thing happened to him. When I returned to the store, the man explained that he knew it was the wrong hood, that I could keep it until another shipment of correct hoods comes in and call back tomorrow. I called the next day (day before graduation) multiple times and no one answered. As a result, I was never delivered the correct regalia for my graduation or offered any explanation. Herff Jones had one job - to deliver the graduation regalia before the ceremony - and they failed. Because of this, I expect a full refund or will stop the CC charge through my bank.After reading the abysmal 1-star online reviews for this company and hearing from the cohort above that this same issue happened last year - I also am surprised to see an A+ Complaintsboard.com rating for such a fraudulent and incompetent business. It makes me question the validity of Complaintsboard.com which is made to protect consumers, and I believe they should put some serious reconsideration into Herff Jones as a company.

Herff Jones Order for my daughter's graduation package and class ring placed on Dec 11, 2021, totaling $522.45

I placed an order for my daughter's graduation package and class ring on Dec 11, 2021, totaling $522.45. The package should have included: Graduate name cards (25), High School Ring, Traditional Graduation Announcements, Mega Ice Tassel (1), Traditional Return Address Labels, Class Envelope Seals, Lanyard, Senior Female Shorts, Premium Tassel Frame (1), Cap, Gown, Tassel Unit. On Jan 29th, I emailed for an update and was informed that the ring would ship in February and the other items in spring, without a specific delivery date. By Feb 19th, we received only the class ring. On March 11, a second package arrived with some items, but not all. After calling on March 14th, I was assured the rest would be sent promptly. It wasn't until April 14th that the Cap, Gown, and Tassel Unit arrived. Further inquiries about the remaining items led to promises of follow-up. On April 22nd, another package came with a few more items. Repeated attempts to contact the company about the final missing items, a Premium Tassel Frame and Mega Ice Tassel, were met with requests for student information, which I provided. Yet, there has been no resolution. An email on Apr 29 suggested contacting the Herff Jones sales representative for assistance, but my calls and emails have been ignored. I advise against using this company due to their poor service.

Herff Jones I placed an order for cap, gown and hood for my graduation

I placed an order for cap, gown and hood for my graduation. The order was placed in mid-April, well before the deadline to place orders. At that time, there was NO mention of potential issues or how the items would not arrive until two days before graduation. Or that the items would arrive separately. More than a month later, I receive my cap and gown but there's a small note within the package that says due to production issues my hood would come separate. Back in April the company PROMISED all items would arrive before graduation. Now, I am requesting a full refund because my hood did not arrive before my graduation and I was forced to buy a separate hood and pay for it additionally. Furthermore, the company lied to me and never told me up front that items would come separately or there may be delays. Lastly, when I reach out to them for assistance they never respond. I have repeatedly called, emailed, messaged via social media but get no response.I am not the first or last person to have this issue with this company. It is not the production issues that is the issue it is the lack of customer service or response. The shut off comments on their social medias so nobody can make further complaints and others can't see them. All I am requesting is a full refund of my items as well as an investigation into this company as I believe they are a scam. Graduations happen every year. The company said repeatedly they are aware of ALL graduation dates. I am confused why, if they had a whole year to plan, they did not plan to ensure all students receive their regalia in time? Furthermore, this issue happens EVERY YEAR with them. Every year students complain about this company and doing business with them. They fail to provide customer service and instead shut down all access to them when customers need them the most. And they ruin the graduation experience for thousands of students across the country. It is a scam and a shame.

TO DATE, THE STATUS REMAINS THE SAME. THE LAST 2 TIMES I CALLED, WITH THE MOST RECENT PRIOR TO TO*** BEING 4/18/22. I SPOKE TO THE SAME REP. SHE REMEMBERED ME. Herff Jones I ordered my cap, gown, and master's hood on April 15, 2022, for my May 13, 2022, graduation ceremony

I ordered my cap, gown, and master's hood on April 15, 2022, for my May 13, 2022, graduation ceremony. I paid $135.26 for my order and received this company's BARE MINIMUM of communication. When getting the status of my items, the representative was unable to tell me when I would likely get them but was granted "100% guaranteed" I will receive ALL of my items THE *** BEFORE my graduation. That did not happen. I received my cap and gown four days before, but I did not get my hood the day before, which was something I was promised. I tried contacting the company via social media and telephone, but their lines were disconnected, and they limited the number of people who could comment on their posts. I reached out via direct message and never heard anything back from them. Two days before the ceremony, I was put in the situation to go to my university's book and buy my hood because, at that point, I could not rely on the company to fulfill my order. I never received a tracking number or update regarding the status or whereabouts of my hood.I spent an additional $31 on something that should have arrived WAY BEFORE. I had to take off from work early to go to my school, which is not a close drive at all. My ceremony was at 9:00 am (I had to be at my school by 7:30 am) on Friday, May 13. On that day, DURING my ceremony, I received a call at 11:00 am that my hood had JUST BEEN DELIVERED. They have put so much stress on something that needs to be celebrated. They lacked communication and knew they were wrong but still did nothing about it. I have messaged them again, NOT ASKING, BUT DEMANDING a refund. I want them to refund me and apologize for the absolute financial and emotional stress they have caused me during what is supposed to be a momentous time in my academic career. They shouldn't be telling customers they "100% guarantee" full delivery if that isn't true. They're absolutely shameful and it's embarrassing they avoid to acknowledge their faults. Shame on them.

Herff Jones Ordered my daughter's graduation invitations, announcements, etc nearly two months before graduation

Ordered my daughter's graduation invitations, announcements, etc nearly two months before graduation. 3 weeks before graduation I recieved a sealed empty box from herff Jones. This box had a sticker from the post office on it showing that they had picked it up and shipped it empty, that there had never been any contents! I contacted Herff Jones, which was difficult as they hide their numbers, refuse to speak to anyone through their office, and I was told I just had to figure out my daughter's schools agents phone number by myself. After a dozen calls I tracked down our representative-***. *** assured me that the company would actually print the order that day and express ship it. Didn't happen. Then he told me he guaranteed it would be out by that Saturday-100% guaranteed, he would personally make sure. That also did not happen. Then the following Tuesday when I reached out to him again (now 2 weeks until my daughter's graduation) that they probably weren't going to do the order and that he'd refund me everything. He told me it would take *** days. I told him that wasn't good enough because now I'd have to go elsewhere at the last minute to try to get replacement invitations and I needed the hundreds of dollars I'd given to them to do so. He told me he couldn't control the banks. That was at the beginning of May. Now, the 25th of May, I've yet to receive a refund. I reported the fraud to PayPal since I'd paid through them. Herff Jones didn't respond until the last day they could without me getting a refund by default. Apparently they are contesting it. And I've recieved an email saying they are priority shipping the invitations... Over a week AFTER my child's graduation! Called *** up again, he said that the refunds department just got "backed up," which I know is a lie because if they hadn't contested it with PayPal, it would have already defaulted back to me. I am about to have my electric shut off Friday, because of this fraud. I've recorded all conversations

Herff Jones Ordered grad announcements from Herff Jones for son's May 18 high school graduation, issues arose.

I ordered graduation announcements in Feb 2022 for my son's May 18, 2022 high school graduation from Herff Jones, dealing with the local office representatives. We never received our announcements, and my son's graduation has come and gone. As the date approached without delivery, I made numerous calls, left voicemails, and sent several emails without any response from the company. I informed the school's assistant principal about the delay and unresponsiveness, and she managed to learn from the agency that a national printing delay was the cause, with promises of someone contacting me about a refund. Weeks later, I've still had no call regarding a refund. I emailed again a week ago to the company representatives and cc'd the assistant principal, noting our graduation had passed without receiving my order or any acknowledgment from the agency. I was told I would be contacted, but still, no response. The lack of communication and customer care is more upsetting than the failed order. Graduation is a significant milestone, and if I had known about the issues, I would have chosen a different company. No one informed us of any problems. My son deserved to be celebrated, and at the very least, an admission of their issues and an apology. But I received nothing: no announcements, no call, no refund, no communication, no apology. I'm frustrated because it seems our children's milestones don't matter, and I demand a response and my money back.

Herff Jones Issue with Herff Jones Order: Incomplete Delivery and Late Merchandise Pickup

Hello, This is in reference to a Herff Jones order for my son's cap and gown, tassel, announcements, envelope seals, and name cards placed around January 8th, for a graduation initially scheduled for May 22. On the delivery date in March at the school, my son only received his cap, gown, and tassel. The remaining items were missing. I contacted the school multiple times and was informed that not all merchandise from Herff Jones had arrived. Assuming the missing items were delayed, I waited. However, the invitations, name cards, and envelope seals never reached the school, nor was I notified by Herff Jones about their whereabouts. On May 14th, I was informed by their sales rep, Chris W, that the items were at their local office and available for pickup. Collecting them only a week before the original graduation date rendered them useless, as there was insufficient time to send them out. Furthermore, the graduation was postponed to July due to Covid-19, and the items, dated for the original event, were still unusable. I am dissatisfied with the timing of receiving these items. The local rep claimed the missing items were at the office on the initial delivery date but couldn't explain why only part of the order was given to my son. It seems the items arrived at different times and were overlooked. If they were at the office, why was I not informed? The company failed to reach out. A refund for the unusable merchandise would have been appropriate, considering I located it myself and received it too late. Although the representative was courteous, I only received an apology and no clear explanation for the mishap.

I ordered my cap and gown for my college graduation on march 7th for my graduation that was to take place in the first week of May . Due to Covid-19, on March 27th I opted for my cap and gown to be deliver to my home and received a confirmation email stating that I would receive my items with 28 days. After about three weeks I received nothing informing me of the status of my order, so I called to see what was going on. I spoke with a customer service representative saying that they reopened their plant on April 7th and that it would be 28 days from that date because that is the day that they reopened the plant. I received no email informing me of this but I decided to wait since I know we are dealing a pandemic. Fast forward to May 4th, still no package and no email informing me of my order status so I called customer service again. I opted for them to called me back once a representative was available but the representative called at 5:28pm and as soon I said hello they hung up and never called back. I finally got to speak to a customer service representative today who said he didn't have a tracking number, couldn't tell me where my order was, and that his system don't have that information because the plant is not putting any orders in the system because of how fast they are processing the orders. I asked him how can I find out where is my order because its been a month and repeated again he said don't have the order status in the system, pretty much trying to get rid of me on the phone. I told him so basically I just got to hope my order will come one day. He proceeded to be extremely rude to me when I was just looking for my items, and he basically said bye sir and hung up in my face, and I'm a woman. I need my cap and gown because of the stuff I had planned before our actual commencement service. This is a business and they don't have a way of tracking my order and don't know where it is essentially. I decided to call again and spoke with another gentleman who said my order was still at the plant and he don't know when I'll receive and there is no way he can track it because there is no tracking number. He also told me that I will receive an with a tracking number when it is shipped. These people basically don't know where my order is because I'm getting different info from people who works at the same company. I just want my items that I ordered and they can't even tell me when I will receive them because they don't know where they are, this is ridiculous. This is a memory I will never get again and they are robbing me of it! It's too late for me to order a cap and gown from somewhere else and they are taking advantage of that. I know the pandemic is going on but it's going to be two months soon since I initially ordered it. I just want my order immediately!

Herff Jones I have had nothing but issues with this company from the time I received my cap, gown, and announcements to now

I have had nothing but issues with this company from the time I received my cap, gown, and announcements to now. In early March, I received my cap and gown. One of the tassels that was included was wrong. I called Herff Jones to request a correct tassel to be sent to me. What a mess that was. The customer service gal asked me five or six times to repeat my university, order number, and issue with the order. Once she finally had the right information, she told me to send everything back--cap, gown, tassel, and announcements--so they could refund me and I could purchase everything again. I told her no as it was literally just the tassel that was wrong. After being on hold for ten minutes, the gal finally said she would open a case for me and have the correct tassel sent. The case email I received started off with, "We are sorry for the incorrect announcements." I literally just got off the phone with them for a tassel, not announcements. A couple weeks later, the tassel arrives as does the news that my commencement is cancelled due to COVID-19. I contact Herff Jones, again, to find out what to do about returning everything. The gal I had talked to on the phone sent me a return form for the cap and gown. I filled that one out, included the announcements on it since I had yet to receive a return form for those, and sent everything back to Illinois. Two days later, I receive an email with the return form for the announcements. At this point, it is what it is. On the Herff Jones Facebook page, I had asked when I could expect to have my refund. The one social media representative told me within 28 days of my package arriving at the facility. March 27th my package is returned to Herff Jones. On April 11th, I receive an email from a friend with a link to the Herff Jones collegiate refund page. I get ready to fill this out but stop when I read that everything must be unopened and unused. I had started to fold announcements to send out and hung up my cap and gown a week prior to commencement being cancelled. The next day, I contact Herff Jones through Facebook Messenger with my concerns in regards to this. A different social media representative sends my concerns and contact information to the customer service portion of Herff Jones. April 15th, I receive an email starting off with, "Thank you for your internet inquiry about your ring." I had an internet inquiry about a refund for my cap, gown, and announcements, not a ring. I sent a very lengthy email requesting to a full refund after everything that has happened up until then. The customer service representative did reply and say I would be receiving a refund once my package was processed. Today, May 4th marks 38 days since my package arrived at Herff Jones and 26 days since the facility opened back up after being shut down due to COVID-19. I understand that the closing caused some delays. However, that is something that needs to be addressed when customers are constantly asking. It does not seem like Herff Jones is "by my side" through any of this. Those of us graduating--whether it be from high school or college--have lost out on so much due to this. It seems like Herff Jones is continuing to kick us while we are down.
