After many months of research on purchasing a Herman Miller Aeron Chair I found Madionseating to have the best prices and I liked their return policy " At Madison Seating we pride ourselves on providing the right product for the right customer. Our specialty is understanding the needs of our customers and satisfying those needs while staying within our customer's budget.
We are so confident that we are providing you with not only a great quality product, but also a product you will love, we offer a 30 day hassle free money back guarantee." Well that is not the case. The Herman Miller Aeron Chair I purchased was defective. The forward and back tilt lever did not work. I notified Madison Seating the same day I received the chair. Customer service said I could return the chair but would have to pay for shipping which they state cost 75.00. Well that is not the case since the box they ship the chair in is not a standard size so total shipping from Rhode Island to New York City was 150.00. Next time I will have to drive there. On top of the 150.00 they charged 75.00 to restock the item. The sad thing is they will send this chair out to someone else and the same problem will happen. It is a scam and they make their money on the restocking fees and people that just keep the defective out of date items. Please do your research before. I went by the customer reviews on the website which now I realize I can no longer trust. I am glad I discovered complaintsboard.com and will be doing my homework before I make any online purchases with companies I am not familiar with.
