I have lived at Holiday Hills Village since 10/2016, under two different property managers who have chosen to selectively enforce the lease and retaliate against residents who complain.
Holiday Hills Village is supposed to be a 55+ retirement community, yet I have some neighbors who have four generations of family (7 people), extended friends, some under 55 years of age, with no background/financial checks done; who have stayed longer than the 30 days defined in the lease per year. A daughter who occasionally lives there (when not living with a boyfriend), no background/financial checks, had her daughter, husband and baby living there for several months, with a Husky dog in the garage. This woman over the past 5 year's summer months, operates a day care center out of the home, to take advantage of the community pool. One brother of a tenant who lived in his van for 3 years (no background/financial checks), then later a daughter under 55 (no background/financial checks) moved in 3/2021 and still resides there 1/23/2022. For 5 years I have tolerated tenants/family and their friends verbal harassment, cutting of fence tie wires, opening gates and other behavior. I have told both past and present managers about these lease violations, with no resolution since the present manager Naiomi was told about it 6/2021; and reminded every month thereafter to date 1/2022.
I have another neighbor who has her son living with her since before I moved here 10/2016, with both past/present managers ignoring these complaints too. Another neighbor whose son/wife occasionally live with him, and both having no background/financial checks.
I have a neighbor who built a un-permited deck, over the property line and a Excel natural gas pipe alignment and management at-the-time ignored this. I later had to relinquish three feet of property (was threatened with expulsion by the present "maintenance manager Chris), to resolve the complaint, yet a decrease in my lot rent never happened and I still have to deal with tenant, friends verbal abuse, the cutting down of flowers by an inept yard worker, and other issues; until I erected a fence; stopped the flower cutting. Both former and current management was/has been made aware of these problems, with both choosing to ignore my complaints.
I have neighbors who have up to 4' of weeds and debris in their yards, told current management (Naiomi) and because of my complaint, was issued a non-valid (MHOP opinion) remove weeds/debris from yard notice, which I complied. While my neighbors yards now have dead weeds in their yards still standing 1/23/2022.
My Chinese wife and I had to pass the age, criminal and financial background checks to live here. We bought a trailer that was abandoned for over 12 years, and put much money, effort and time to make it into a livable space. We chose to live at Holiday Hills Village thinking we would have limited exposure to kids, their friends and others under 55 years old. Instead, we reside between a couple of hotel homes, with no limit to numbers of people who disregard the 15 MPH speed limit, drive coal-rolling vehicles with radios blasting; making up for their personal inadequacies.
Both the former (Tammy) and current (Naiomi) were/have been made aware of my complaints, both choosing to ignore them and selectively issuing (Naiomi) me a non-valid weed/debris removal notice. This retaliatory measure has me wonder if because my complaints are ignored due to a racist nature? My wife and I stopped going to the pool last summer due to the facial features and snide comments made by certain above mentioned tenants who take advantage of the pool when open?
My wife and I do not ask for any special privileges, but our patience of watching neighbors blatantly/repeatedly violate lease rules and former/current management does nothing to enforce them; the ineptitude of local management reflects poorly on those who are hiring these incompetent property managers. This is why my wife and I never promote friend's and acquiescence's to consider a equitylifestyle property anywhere they are located, due to the way local management has treated my wife and I about our concerns of community behavior to date.

Desired outcome: It would be nice if equitylifestyle management would hire local property managers who apply all lease agreements equally to all tenants and not observe some tenants are exempt from their lease.
