Hometurf has provided great service to our home for the past few years. Our grass is the the proof. We have less to no weeds compared to our neighbors who do not use Hometurf. The service experts are very accommodating ( we have cats) and are polite and timely. I am happy to continue with Hometurf because of their knowledge in application timing and product use and effectiveness.

My experience with this company was absolutely horrible. Not only did they burn my lawn, they denied it was burnt and made every excuse possible to rectify the problem. I asked for a full refund and was also denied! They refunded a small portion of the payment with a cancellation charge. Absolutely Ridiculous!
Our lawn hasn't looked this good in years! The full service package has made it so easy to maintain - all I have to do is mow! They have been responsive when I raised any concerns (for example about possible grub problem) and got the appropriate treatment lined up.

We couldn't do the spring coring due to our irrigation system. However, this year they had a new option, called Aerify Plus liquid aeration which is great if you have an irrigation system.
They have always delivered their services as promised, no issues. It's a very reliable company.

Hometurf Lawn Care is a very good service provider. Always prompt and took care of my lawn like a pro. I like their service.
I've used several Lawn Care companies over the last 20 years and Hometurf tops them all. First of all, their pricing is competitive considering the number of applications this is applied annually. Secondly, their customer service is top notch - I had an issue with weed application one instance where the weeds were still present after the spraying and all it took was a phone call to get a free respray. Hometurf gives you advance notification of their application so the homeowner can get ready for this. Lastly, the quality of the products used are excellent - I get frequent compliments of my lawn when people pass by during their walks and it makes me happy that other people are noticing it.

First time was poor employee performance by Emma and forgotten seed bag Second time was a reapplication which was much better than the first time. But my seed was forgotten again. Finally got my seed before the weekend on a third appointment in a span of a week. My experience with you guys is new and it's been an inconvenience having to email customer service to make sure your employees actually applying the product does the job. So the people who come to my house get a 3/5 But your customer service team gets a 5/5 for being helpful and quick on the fixes. The overall job you guys do is a 4/5 so far! I haven't had enough time to see the full process

I have been a hometurf customer for the last few years. They have provided good professional lawn care all along . Also whenever we needed any extra care or services , they were very prompt and looked after the request immediately. The service given was complete lawn care and they have done it well. We will be using them in future as well.
Professional outfit and our lawn has never looked better. They get done what I simply have no time (and not that much interest) in doing. But I like the results: weeds are non existent and the grass is green and lush.

Horrible service! First time I used this company, I signed up for the seasonal weed control. I had two applications of fertilizer and one Fiesta weed control application. The Fiesta Weed application left a brown line around my lawn not to mention the weeds did not die! MORE weeds actually surfaced the next day! The brown line burnt my lawn and turned it to straw. I called to cancel the service. The manager would not give me a refund. I had to pay for what was done AND a cancellation fee! Can you believe this! The manager said it would take two weeks for the brown line to go away, I tried to tell her that the brown line has now burnt my lawn and turned it to straw. The manager didn't seem to care! Horrible customer service!

I have used Hometurf as my lawn care company for 15+ years. The package is the Deluxe program which includes fertilizing and weed control. Unlike the last lawn care company that used spraying application methods which resulted in the demise of several healthy globe and gold cedars due to wind tunnel effects, Home Turf uses fertilizer pellets. In addition to fertilizing and weed control application, they also spot treat weeds with a schedule that is most effective depending on the types of weeds. Customers need to understand the service needs to be supplemented by your own regular mowing, watering, as well as over-seeding and adding top soil when needed. Those are necessary tasks to keep a healthy lawn. No shortcut to it. Home Turf takes good care of fertilizing and weed control. It's a team work! And in case there're odd situations that it rained after treatment (which washed away the application), I called Hometurf and they scheduled promptly an extra treatment free of charge. My lawn is thick and draws admiration from my neighbours.

This year we decided to go with HomeTurf for our lawn care. We paid for the complete program however the service up to now has been far from complete. The tech just came today and didn't even look at the backyard.. only did the front. Earlier in the year the tech was in and out in less than two minutes.. barely sprayed any weeds and dropped maybe a few grains of fertilizer. Calls to customer service were of no use.. They verified with the tech if the job was done... great idea.. asking a person who did a bad job if they did a good job... what did you think the outcome would be? they seemed so used to dealing with complaints its like she was reading from a script. She advised that there were no refunds.. which is a joke really since the service is so poor. Since the techs only ever did half a job... which is me being generous.. I would like a refund for whats left and credit for half of the work they did not do previously.

In 2019, I engaged with a lawn care company named Home Turf, located at 7123 Fir Tree Drive, Mississauga. As the year came to a close, I informed them that I would not require their services for the following year, 2020, because I had decided to hire a different company. Despite this, in the spring of 2020, Home Turf proceeded to treat my lawn without my authorization. Subsequently, they sent me an invoice for the service. I contacted them to explain the situation, emphasizing that the treatment was not authorized by me and questioning why I should be responsible for paying for it. Despite receiving multiple invoices, I attempted to resolve the matter by offering to pay half the amount, hoping to put an end to the issue. However, they refused my offer. Now, Home Turf has escalated the matter by sending my account to a collections agency. This action is highly distressing to me, as I have maintained a very high credit score and do not wish to see it damaged. I firmly believe that Home Turf should retract the claim from the collections agency, and I am seeking assistance to resolve this matter.
Had Hometurf do lawn maintenance at my house previously and had them start lawn maintenance again in the spring of 2021. This was to include fertilizing, weed control, core aeration and overseeding. All services were completed but on the last service (mid-September ) of core aeration the machine was dragged over our concrete walkway causing gouges (images attached). Desiree at Hometurf was contacted on September 21 after noticing the damage at which time she was sending out the supervisor to take a look at it. On September 27, after not hearing from anyone, I called back and was told that Trevor had come out and taken pictures and would call back the following day after talking top owner. September 29 Desiree called and offered to to next years lawn service at no cost, I said that this waasn't acceptable for the damages caused and she said she would further discuss it with the owner. October 7 I called and was told I would receive a call back...nothing! Concrete is 1 YO.
In 2019, we signed up for the complete program plan at a cost of $386.41. The following year, the same service was provided under the complete program plan for the same amount of $386.41. However, we did not receive an invoice detailing terms and conditions that required us to cancel the service to prevent automatic renewal.
In 2020, Hometurf sent us a service renewal notification by email. The content of the email indicated that we were automatically enrolled in the complete program plan for $341.76 plus HST, totaling $386.41, which was consistent with the pricing of previous years. Despite this communication, we did not agree to the quoted price nor did we consent to any additional services. Our assumption was that the service had been terminated since we had sold our house and relocated.
By 2021, we received a statement indicating an outstanding balance of $518.37, in addition to late fees amounting to $41.47. This was the first notice of such charges. It was particularly surprising because the amount exceeded the original service cost of $386.41, and we had not been informed by any means, including email, phone, or text, that the services were still being provided.

I have weeds in our garden in front of our house a foot and a half high and the back yard is over run with weeds that have now spread through all of our surrounding gardens . I have asked a few times to have a supervisor come out with no avail. I had asked for a phone call before they sent out someone out to service my property and once again with no call. They came out yesterday July 28/21 I was up at 7.30 am just to find a receipt stating that they were here and done a summer fertilizer,a weed control and a surface insect control all before I got up at 7.30 am. I wii send pictures taken yesterday. I paid $284.71 in advance my account is 6-12#XXXXX-ms Thanks ***.

In 2021 I prepaid for lawn care services to be performed by Hometurf Lawn Care Service at my property at *** A key component of the service was dethatching of the entire property at a total charge for dethatching of $146.83 ($129.94 + 16.89 H.S.T.) On October 6 the service was performed for the front which is approximately 1/2 of the area, but not the back. A note was left indicating that the gate opening was too narrow to allow the thatching machine to enter the back yard. There was no indication of width limitations when I entered into the lawn care contract. I phoned on 3 occasions and was informed that someone would get back to me or would come to inspect the gate but I heard nothing. On November I phoned again, and asked to speak to the supervisor. The supervisor informed me that under company policy the most I was entitled to was a credit of less than $12 even though more than half the property had not been serviced. Since only half the service has been performed, I would like a refund of half the amount paid which is $73.41. Since my contract has now been cancelled by Hometurf a credit for future services is of no benefit.
This year 2021, I decided to hire Hometurf Lawn Care Services to a complete Program for fertilizing & weed treatment. Their staff even did not go to the back Lawn to put Fertiliser. Complained to the customer service, I was watching the staff, he did not do anything, He was there for one minute & gone. My lawn is worst than what it was before I hired Hometurf Lawn Care. My lawn today, 11th September looks so bad, burnt in lot of places though I water it through an automatic sprinkler system & manually every day. Also, It is full of Weeds . I am 72 years Canadian citizen, very much interested in Gardening, but I was completely disappointed. I feel I was deceived when I paid the Early Bird price $214.
I hired Hometurf for lawn spray/fertilization, and was not happy with the results so decided not to hire them again the following year. The following spring they showed up at my property, did work, and left an invoice. They did not tell us they were coming, they did not have premission to be on our property They have now sent it to the *** Collections which is not acceptable. I want this invoice reversed and removed from the credit reporting agencies.

I purchased a complete lawn care package from them in March this year. They have been out once to fertilize about a month ago. Given the condition of my lawn and the weeds my son was forced to look after the lawn. I called to cancel the service and to refund to my credit card less the one service when they fertilized. I was told on May 18th by a CSR that they would not refund my balance and offered a credit instead which I don't want. A manager was to call me back on the 18th and they never called. I have since emailed them twice and they have not responded. Looking on their *** page it would appear that there are numerous complaints about them not showing up, not answering calls, not responding to emails. I do not wish to have their services anymore nor do I wish to have a credit. I want a refund back to my card. Unfortunately I was not advised until after I paid that they do not offer refunds in fact the CSR didn't even realize that and she works for them

I had been using Hometurf service at my previous address for a few years and was satisfied with their service. I then sold the property and moved to our current address in Sept 2020 and also use their services for my current property. In July I received a bill from them for my old address saying that I owed $666.29. I contacted them and explained that I dont own that property anymore and the person I spoke to mentioned that they would cancel the service and that I owed $0. However Aug 4 I received another invoice for the old address for $380.73. Speaking to them they mention that they are a recurring service that has to be cancelled before the season starts or I will be billed for the full amount. No where on their webpage ads does it mention this. After I told them that I will cancel all services (including current property) they now say I owe $536.43 for old property as they made an error on their in previous invoice. This is very misleading and not transparent.
I have been moved out of previous house in 2019, I called home turf to cancel my service, but somehow they keep coming to my previous house to do the service which I did not own, and charge under my name, I called them to ask why they are still charging me, they said they didn't aware of my cancellation. I paid for the bill, make sure they cancel my account, but they still keep charging me. I think what happened is there is mis communication between the head office with contractors, they just keep going to my old house to do the work, and charge to my account. I thought this is very unfair to me.

I then received multiple notices in error via direct mail to my residence telling me that my bill was overdue. I contacted HomeTurf and received in writing via email on 2 separate occasions, confirmation that my bill was paid in full. However, HomeTurf continued to send me notices in error via direct mail stating that my bill was overdue. HomeTurf then forwarded me to a Collections Company, ***. I spoke to the collections company, and they advised me to contact HomeTurf to get them to close out my file, as they has sent it to the collections company in error. The representative that I speak to at HomeTurf (continuously) refuses to close my file out. I told the Collections company this. The collections company *** paused my file until there is resolution. However, HomeTurf refuses.

I had an account with HomeTurf for two years. In the winter of 2020, I called to cancel my account and to not automatically renew this account. I was assured verbally on the phone that the renewal was canceled. I did not receive any other information from HomeTurf. Because of the assurances from the person on the phone, I did nothing more. In April, my lawn was serviced by HomeTurf without any notice from them at all. I immediately tried to call to complain. The phone line was busy so I contacted them through the website explaining in my inquiry that I had already cancelled in the winter. I now receive a bill from them with late charges! I called them to get my account cleared. They advised me that they had no record of my cancellation in the winter. So the charges remain on my account. I am very upset that the person who took my call lied to me and now I am supposed to pay for services I had never wanted. I canceled in winter and it is not my fault they did nothing about it.
I contracted Home Turf last year 2020 to provide services to my lawn and I paid in advance for the year. This year somewhere in June I received their letter for service. I called them and explained them the situation that I never contracted them for this year. The girl was kind enough she apologized and canceled the service which i never ordered. Now in July they send me letter to pay $140.85 for services which I never ordered. I want them to revise their policy to auto renewal as its against Business Policies and cancel my payment of $140.85 and not to file Credit Bureau or collection agency until this matter is resolved. I hired Hometurf to provide weed control and seed my lawn. I was told it would bring my lawn to a healthy, green state however my lawn, front and backyard look worse than before. Whatever they are using is killing my lawn. I have been taking photos to support my claim. I've reached out to customer service on many occasions to address the issue. They come back and added more pesticides/weed control which killed the lawn even more. I finally gave up and called to cancel and asked for a refund as they certainly didn't provide the quality service promised, however they refused. So now I spent $300 for a lawn that looks worse than before. My neighbor has done nothing to his lawn and it is green, lush and healthy - we have adjoining lawns - so it is very evident that mine looks terrible and unhealthy.

On July 20, a technician came and sprayed our lawn. He did not take care to avoid our wood fence and the spray got on the fence. It has stained. Most of the perimeter of our fence is stained a dark brown now. I tried rinsing and it even rained that day but it will not come off. I am extremely upset as this is a brand new fence we had installed. Lumber and building supplies prices have skyrocketed during COVID so this is a major concern for me. After a quick *** search I found it is commonly known that when applying any iron-based weed control (like ***, the product Hometurf uses), you must avoid wood decks, fences and patio stones. There does seem to be products available, such as *** which could possibly remove the stains. I tried emailing and calling but a manager never calls back. They should come clean it

I lived in a rental house from 2019 to 2020. I was advised by my homeowner for the year I am renting in to enroll with hometurf to maintain the lawn. I contacted them and got a quote, and paid for the service over the phone on 29th Apr 2020. I have clearly told them I am in the house for one season and will not be extending beyond a season and the lady acknowledged this. I left the rental house as planned in Aug 2020 and moved to a different city. I get a voice message today asking about paying overdue amounts. When I call back about what is this, they mention that they have, by themselves, decided to continue the service and are now asking for payment that is "overdue" for that 1- I have clearly mentioned I am only enrolling for 1 season only, the lady who took my order mentioned this is clear and service will be for one year 2- There is absolutely no mention neither in their website or any email sent that they decided to renew and I have not signed any document that states this. The company is *** me now to send this to a collection agency which I will not accept at any case! I have asked today the agent on the phone if they record customer calls and they do not I will not accept to be charged for something I did not order or accept, nor being threatened with such cases. The email and phone is the same since 2020, no email or call has been done by the company to ask if I will renew, the first interaction since I paid on 29th Apr is this one where they ask for money for a service that I mentioned I will be enrolling for a year only

I clear all the invoices as the season ended in Nov2019 and call for cancellation for next year s season. Reasons Why I canceled the services : 1. Staff they send for treatment always spread fertilizer on the driveway and sidewalks which was harmful to my small kids. 2. Weed killer spray only on weeds instead of the whole lawn but they advertise they will use it on the whole lawn. 3. Most of the staff were students when I asked certain questions they don't give a reliable answer. 4. Most of the customer care staff were *** and were in hurry to cut the phone. At beginning of the 2020 summer season, they sent a staff for treatment. I checked in the camera outside the property and called their office right away and asked why they sent someone if canceled the service last year. The girl on the phone said she is canceling now but I have to pay $90/- for that day s treatment. She said she can't see any cancellation notes in my account. I said why I should pay for the service which I cancel last year. She was so ***. After that company kept on sending me invoices which are almost $273/- and they pressurized me to pay that amount. They did not send any invoice for my primary residence and did not send anyone for treatment because they know there are cancellation notes in the file. A few days ago I came to know they gave my account to a collection agency and the agency add this amount to my credit report. I asked them for a copy of the contract if I had any with them - there was no contract. I asked the manager for dates when services did - she did not email me.
