I am deeply frustrated and concerned about an unresolved issue that has persisted for far too long. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my recent stay at Best Western Fairfax, which I booked through HotelTonight, and the subsequent lack of assistance and support I have received.

My name is Farah Babouri, and I recently stayed at Best Western Fairfax for a 3-night reservation from September 20th to 23rd, 2023. What should have been a simple and enjoyable stay took a nightmarish turn when I began experiencing severe discomfort and pain in my lower abdomen, specifically in the vaginal area, during my stay. This discomfort grew progressively worse, prompting me to seek medical attention.

I visited an urgent care facility where I was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection (UTI). The medical professionals indicated that it was highly likely that the cause of this infection was exposure to bacteria on the toilet stool in my hotel room. I must emphasize that during my stay at Best Western Fairfax, the bathroom in my room was the only one I used.

What has been particularly disheartening about this situation is the lack of response and support I have encountered in seeking a resolution. Despite my multiple attempts to contact HotelTonight and the hotel directly, I have been met with unresponsiveness and evasion of my calls. My health and well-being were compromised during my stay, and it is incredibly distressing that my concerns have gone unaddressed.

Furthermore, I received an email requesting medical documentation, including a note that attributes the UTI to the hotel room. As a responsible and ethical medical professional, I find it highly unlikely that any doctor would attribute the source of an infection in such specific terms. This only adds to my frustration and disappointment in the handling of this situation.

I am left with no choice but to seek resolution through various channels, including this formal complaint. I implore you to take this matter seriously and to initiate a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding my stay at Best Western Fairfax and the subsequent lack of response from HotelTonight.

My primary objective in lodging this complaint is to seek a full refund for my stay at Best Western Fairfax. While I acknowledge that this is a significant step, I believe it is a fair and reasonable request given the health issues and discomfort I have endured during my stay.

I kindly request that you respond promptly and take appropriate action to address this complaint. It is my hope that we can find a resolution that recognizes the seriousness of this matter and takes into account the impact it has had on my well-being.
