Works for me
USUALLY I DONT WRITE REVIEW, BUT HAD TO BC I JUST SENT FAX OFF EARLIER THIS MORNING AND I WAS VERY IMPRESS WITH THE RESULT NOW WITH IPHONE 5 THAN WITH 4s. PLUS IT TAKES A LOT TO IMPRESS ME. I had this app since 2012. When I had the iPhone 4S. It worked great but one problem I had when I would fax it from 4s was it took long time to fax the document I fax one night and it keep pending until the next morning then it would send the fax that morning. But I got iPhone 5 now and it doesn't take as long to fax my documents it went thru the same night I faxed my documents it took about 23 mins more or less to go thru. Then they sent notification tell me it went thru on my phone and email. It's better on my iPhone 5 than it was on my iPhone 4S. So I can now give it 5 stars. Bc it works exactly like they said it would and it didn't try to changer me second fee to fax the same fax again. I would tell family and friends about this app.WHEN U R ON THE RUN, BETWEEN CLIENTS, AND RUNNING ERRANDS.
IT GREAT TO HAVE ON THE GO . WHEN U NEED TO FAX PAPER WORK TO CLIENT FAST AND SMOOTH. NO HASSLES or FUSS.
TOTAL FAIL (zero stars)
Two faxes sent at $0.99 each and neither arrived at the intended recipient. The response from the developer, Crowded Road, is that everything looks good from their end and I should restart the app. This is ALL they are willing to do or say about the problem after repeated attempts to get a more appropriate response from them. Since my two faxes were sent to two different numbers/recipients and NEITHER one received the fax, it is clearly a problem with the iFax service. Since the iFax system says the faxes were delivered successfully, restarting the app on my phone is a ridiculous suggestion. I have to wonder WHERE my faxes were delivered since they DID NOT ARRIVE at my doctors' offices. I've used this app in the past (previous versions, I'm sure) and it worked, so I'm surprised by this failure and totally disappointed by the developer's pathetic response. This is not a company I will ever do business with again. The $1.98 they made on my recent "transactions" is costing them a customer and my negative review, not to mention all the clients I will advise not to use them. I do NOT recommend this app or company.
Unlimited Does Not Mean Unlimited!
I tried the free week trial & signed up for the monthly unlimited subscription for $24.99 a month.
During the 1 week trial, I received 2 different pop ups, requiring me to purchase credits in order to complete my fax. One where I paid $9.99 & one where I paid $19.99.
After my week was up, on 4/13, I was auto charged for the $24.99 monthly UNLIMITED use. The next day, I received a pop up stating that I had exceeded the Fair Use Limit & several different annual plans pop up up with a free weekly trial. I signed up for the Plus plan which would allow me a free week & then charge me $99.99 a year for 2400 pages.
Yesterday, I received another pop up stating I had exceeded my Fair Use Limit, requiring me to purchase more credits. I have to use a fax to keep my job during this Quarantine situation so I paid another $19.99.
I have sent several emails over the last week with no response. There is no phone number & so far I have paid $74.99 in 2 weeks for what was supposed to be a $24.99 unlimited mobile fax service. No where in the agreement does it state limitations.
Service works fine as long as you keep paying but PLEASE DO NOT STATE THIS IS AN UNLIMITED FAX SERVICE.

Requires accessing contacts. Couldn’t even use
I need to send a one-time fax somewhere, so I downloaded this app. I tried to send a fax and found that it requires access to my contacts, you cannot simply type the fax number in!*** That seems like poor design to me, and/or the company is trying to harvest data from my contacts, for all I know. Nonetheless, I created a contact for the party I need to send the fax to. But the contact is not showing up on the drop down list for contacts. AND it is inconvenient, unjustifiable design that I cannot type anything in to search for the appropriate contact, instead app wants me to SCROLL through my ENTIRE LIST OF CONTACTS ordered alphabetically by first name to find the right one. Furthermore, maybe there is a bug because I could not even find my newly added contact on that list, after the headache of unnecessary scrolling. So I STILL HAVE NOT SENT THE FAX*** and am fairly fed up with this app, I must have had it all of 5 minutes before canceling the subscription, and I think I should delete the app too as it wants to link to my contacts. After this fed-up review I plan to try again exactly once (because seems I really must send this dang fax) and then I’ll delete the app completely, whatever happens.
Double charged after cancellation
Tried their service back in Jun 27, 2020, on my laptop (a MacBook), but within hours decided to cancel because of some technical issues (I keep getting login errors for some reason).
So I wrote to their customer service asking for a cancellation. Someone named Jovi replied to me and sent me a link that didn't work on my computer (the URL contains 'windows' in it, so I suspect it only works for Windows users, but I don't have a Windows computer so couldn't try). I asked again, and Jovi thought I'm using the iOS app and told me to ask Apple instead. After that, any email requests of mine went directly into a blackhole and no one ever replied to me.
Finally I was able to manually overcome a bunch of technical difficulties to finish the cancellation process (their Cancel button was grayed out so you couldn't directly click on it). I had to do that, because otherwise they will charge me annually.
And then, when I looked at my credit card bill, I got DOUBLE CHARGED, one for $99, and another one for $199. I had to dispute the transactions with my credit card company to get it back.
Search online and you’ll see that it’s not just me who get charged after asking for cancellation. They do this all the time. Be very cautious!
Horrible
This is a scam!I tried to do they 7 day free trial went out the app then back in and they ended up charging me 24.99 to my account immediately.Non of my fax would go through for days it would would say it was being sent then a message would come back 10 minutes later saying not sent due to wrong fax number but the numbers were very correct tried to contact tact them twice no response. Then on the 6th day it finally said all my fax were sent off successfully so for 2 weeks I waited to hear back from the company that I had to send the important documents to wondering why I never heard back from them in so long come to find out the only thing that they recieved was 10 cover letters and not the actual documents needed and my case was closed out due to the documents not being recieved.I have contacted them for a 3rd time and I’m pretty sure I won’t hear from them. They quickly took my 25.00 dollars out of my account but cannot respond back. This is most definitely a scam I never do reviews good or bad and usually read reviews before purchasing anything but I originally was trying to try out the 7 day trial before any money was taking. Please do not down this app it is a big scam!
Works but it DOESN’T
So I downloaded this yesterday and sent a fax with 3 pages. It went through in about 5 minutes and everything was good. Person on the other end got it. Great. THEN the person tried to send me back 8 pages. They had the correct number. We verified 3 times. I verified my email address. Activated my account. I could see in the records section that my outgoing fax was transmitted. I had an incoming welcome fax from the app. I was signed up to their $169.99 plus subscription AND their basic subscription as well. They trick you by displaying both subscriptions one after the other into tricking you that you didn’t check off the box the first time and sign you up for both. So with both memberships I should have been able to send AND receive faxes. Over 24 hours later, still NO incoming fax received and the person has sent it 3 separate times. The person works in a doctor’s office and sends faxes all the time so they know how to do it correctly. No human error anywhere. To cancel, you have to go into your Apple subscriptions on your phone and cancel it there. I took a screenshot just in case and will check again 2 days before my free trial is up to ensure it is canceled. Otherwise I will be charged over $300 to have sent 3 pages. Watch out with this app. Go find a better one.
Scam
Do not download or use! Here is my 2nd update and it’s 7/16. This scam company is still attempting to charge me after I canceled the same day I signed up for this scam trial. If you enter your card number, they will charge you continuously until you block it. ALL OF THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE COMPLETELY FAKE! STAY AWAY!
Update 7/12
I reported this company to the ComplaintsBoard.com and I filed a dispute with my card company and got my money back. Today, they attempted to try and charge me again and have the nerve to send me an email saying payment failed! What kind of company attempts to charge you after you cancelled and then send an email about it? I cannot believe that they have not been shut down yet.
This company is a complete scam! Do not use! I signed up for a 7 day free trial on 6/12 directly thru the website and was double charged 19.99 the same day. I canceled and requested a refund the same day. I received an email saying I need to request thru iTunes but I was just charged by iTunes. I signed up on the website directly. I’ve sent 4 emails requesting my refund and they completely ignore my request by sending me links to cancel something that is already canceled! Then yesterday I’m charged 9.99 and it’s already canceled! I’m going to report this company to the ComplaintsBoard.com. Nobody reads any of the emails you send, they just send automatic responses.
Two Separate Charges, Both Year-Long Subscriptions
Another commenter shared his negative experience with the app’s subscription and billing practices, and I would like to take the opportunity to reiterate that sentiment wholeheartedly and in full. Not only was I charged for an iFax yearly subscription once—a $189.00 charge which I assumed, due to the information presented to me upon accepting the 7-day trial offer, would run only $24.99—but I was charged a SECOND time. These charges occurred a week apart, and bear in mind that I hadn’t accessed the app to utilize any features, much less alter my subscription plan, in the space of that week.
In total, due to poor communication and what I can only assume to be a massive oversight and/or clerical error, iFax has cost me $364.00. I’m a graduate student. I can’t afford to lose nearly four-hundred dollars to a company whose services I only intended to utilize for a month. I don’t know what the outcome looked like for the user who experienced the same dilemma as mine, but in light of his experience, I sincerely hope iFax has revised their refund policy, and I’m appalled that they haven’t altered their subscription policy. It’s unacceptable and I’m crossing my fingers that a representative may have a solution that doesn’t end in me losing money that I never consented to give.
Be so, so cautious when signing up for this app, and avoid the allure of the 7 day trial.
Absolutely terrible in every way
Let me preface this by saying that I have the Pro version (in-app purchase). This app is terrible in every way imaginable. First of all, when you snap a picture of a document with your iPhone, it downsamples it beyond recognition. This is, one would think, to let you see what the fax recipient will probably see. I have a hard time believing that the recipient's fax would do such a poor job if fed a full-res document. But the fact is, it is the downsampled image that gets stored in your photo album. Which makes me strongly suspect that this is what is -actually- faxed. Imagine what must come out at the other end--a down-downsampled version of your original document. Surely enough, today I got a call that the fax was unreadable.
Second, the status update once you send the fax is just bare-bones minimal. Faxes work at snail pace with respect to our phones, so it would be particularly nice to tell us if the recipient has picked up, how many pages have gone through, etc. Instead, you're left waiting six minutes (for a five-page document) with the status "Sending," Eventually, it says "Sent."
Third, when all is said and done you receive an *emailwith a PDF of the very document you just faxed. The *onlyreason faxes are still in use today is the privacy of point-to-point communication that phone lines provide, for medical records for example. Why on Earth would you send me an unencrypted email containing my document over the Internet?!
Lastly, why do I receive a million messages about purchasing something called iTalmud?! Just leave alone already.
Unnecessarily Expensive
> I was able to fax directly from my scanning app for only $0.99 so I would recommend you check your existing scan-to-pdf apps (don't think apple will let me reference the app here). So, I was able to fax without buying a subscription or expensive credits from this app. So long iFax and good luck..!
------ review below still stands and is valid -------
This was an affordable and useful app at one time. The last time I used this app (in 2016, I think) it only cost $0.99 to send a 2 or 3 page fax. Now it's a subscription or $$$$ for imaginary 'credits'.
I'm as amazed at the PRICE to send a fax via iFax as I am that people still HAVE fax machines... But maybe this is the way iFax - and other services - hope to put fax machines out of business once-and-for-all.
Fax Guy # 1 : "How can we get the hell out of this antiquated business..?"
Fax Guy # 2 : "Let's make it more expensive and inconvenient..!"
iFax: "We can help with ALL of that..!..!"
Seriously, it's not JUST the new, unreasonable pricing model that is a problem. The app itself makes it super-annoying to fill out the cover sheet. It took me 4 tries as the app complained about the "incorrect fax number" from the previous page. The only thing you can do is cancel-out, go back a page, look at the fax number that's formatted CORRECTLY, then attempt to fill in the cover sheet again. Finally, after leaving the SENDER PHONE NUMBER field blank, it let me save the cover sheet...
I'm off to find a better app at a more reasonable fax rate AND IF ONE DEOSN'T EXIST, I'll just fax for free from the office...
Much Better!-Please see update below!
I purchased this app a few days ago. Last evening, I decided to purchase an incoming, toll-free number, for a one-month period, just to try it. Everything seemed to go well. The transaction completed and I was given a fax number. I chose a toll-free number, because I do not live near any of the listed local areas.
Today, at work, I opened the app with the intent to send myself a test fax. When I opened the app, my number was no longer displaying. I closed and re-opened the app a couple of times, thinking maybe this was normal. The last time I opened it, to my surprise, there was a different number listed. Also, it showed that I had one incoming fax. I opened it to view it and it was a fax from a medical provider about physical therapy for a patient, excusing them from work! It listed the names of both the patient and the doctor, and their condition! I googled the doctor's name, and I found her website, with a fax number matching that on the incoming fax!
I checked my itunes account/credit card statement and do not yet see a charge for my purchase (which, with the start-up fee, was $30!), but if it does, I will request a refund.
This app has some very serious problems. Use caution, as depending on what you are faxing, you could be in danger of compromising personal, sensitive information. Until the developer addresses this issue, I cannot recommend this app.
I tried to send the developer an email, via their website, but every time I attempt to do so, it re-directs me to a "suggestion" site, to help improve the app, etc. I do not mean to directly criticize the developer. I simply want to draw attention to this problem and prevent anyone from compromising their privacy.
UPDATE! It has been fixed and it works! The developer (and Apple) kept in constant contact with me to resolve the issue. The developer also comped me a free month for my trouble. I can now recommend this app! Very satisfied.
7 Day Free Trial a Hoax!
Added on July 4th: more of the usual lies from the developer. I confirmed that I canceled on day 5; I even got a “please come back and we’ll give you a discount appeal.” I also canceled with Apple. These scammers know what they are doing. Look at all the reviews and what you will see is that users who like the program and are willing to pay high prices for faxing give it 5 stars and in fairness that appears to be the great majority of reviewers. But if you try to cancel they rio you off. About 5% of reviewers gave one star because they cancelled and were charged anyway. That’s outrageous. Hundreds of reviews complain about this over a period of several years. The company obviously knows what they are doing so don’t believe a word they say. And Apple should be ashamed. For facilitating this scam and doing nothing about it!
Don’t trust this developer or Apple with a free download. I cancelled my “free” trial on day 5 thru the app and on the Apple app store. To my surprise I was charged $144.99 for a subscription I didn’t want. The developer did nothing but say they would refer my problem to the appropriate team. Apple was clueless but after chats, calls and e-mails they refunded my money. To my surprise the next day a new charge appeared for a $44.99 subscription. After more time wasted with Apple they said it had been cancelled but the next day the charge went through on my new card. Mastercard had locked up my original card because Apple was trying to charge the $44.95 every 10 minutes. Guess what? Today Apple says they will refund the $44.99. Of course the $200 worth of refunds will take a month. The experience has been a nightmare.
The app itself works well and is easy to use. Subscriptions and fax credits are, however, expensive. You pay for the convenience. If you only need to send 2 or 3 faxes a year like me then FaxFresh is a much better deal. It has a flat rate for faxes and you pay only for what you use. Ultrasinple interface and it works just fine.
Poor customer service, ?? security
Until this past week, I had not used this app in a couple of years. I had only used it infrequently before that with few complaints since I simply didn't have the need to fax things.
The other day my husband faxed some sensitive-ish information to our insurance company. The first fax only sent the cover sheet. We were charged. The second fax would not send. (Still hadn't as of yesterday, according to my end of the software.) For reason given, it simply sated that it failed to send and that I would not be charged if I tried again. Nothing helpful like "file too large" or similar information.
I contacted customer support and asked for help understanding why it would not send so that we could adjust or understand for future faxes. I received a poorly-worded response within two days that, according to their records, the fax had actually been successfully sent to the number I reported. I responded that according to my records on their software, a blank fax had indeed sent to that number but another had still not , therefore I would like a refund if the charge instead of continuing to use their software. I received another poorly-worded response within 24 hours stating that they had been able to send the fax on their end with no problem and were sending a screenshot to prove it.
1) This is not what I asked them to do. I asked for help troubleshooting the problem so I could send faxes on my end in the future. 2) The fax no longer needed to be sent since we had already gone to a grocery store (of all things) and paid extra to send it the old fashioned way. 3) I could not find anything in their policies indicating that they may have access to your faxes, how they protect that information, how they manage any access to that information, etc.
Because they have accessed my document without my permission—and also because I wasn't looking for a "sure you did," followed by a "see? it's easy!" response to my request for troubleshooting assistance—for my next trick, I have deleted this app and will be (attempting to) deactivate my account.
In the future, for the amount and type of faxes I need to send, I will just feel safer sending sensitive information from a grocery store where I can keep a better line of sight on who gets access to what information. Others who are more tech savvy might feel secure using this app or be able to take precautions here. I don't mind admitting I'm not savvy enough to feel secure enough with this app or its support staff.
OK for 2 pages, FAIL at 35 pages
Installed on a 2012 MacBook Air 1.8 GHz Intel Core i7 running OS X 10.9.2. Sent a couple of 2 or 3 page faxes with no trouble. FAILED twice at sending a 35 page fax.
After I paid $7.99 to the vendor via the app store for the first 35 page fax and $6.99 the second time for the same number of pages (weird that the same number of pages had 2 different prices), I recieved a message indicating “Your Message Exceeds 20Mb”. At this piont, the fax is paid for and there is no opportunity to edit the fax, so what use is this >20mb message ? There was no indication of whether this meant the fax was too big to transmit at all, would only transmit in part, would cost more, or was just for my info. No idea what this message means.
The software showed a growing blue line, indicating the fax was “loading” - to what? The software on my computer or to the vendor’s server in the cloud? Then a solid blue line and words similar to “Sending Your Fax” appeared on the screen. No movement on the blue line or any other indication of whether the software had frozen or was actually transmitting. No indication of the number of pages transmitted or other progress indicator. Nothing indicating the machine could be shut down. Thanks for the information vacuum.
The first time ($7.99 charge), after several hours of the "Sending Your Fax" screen and no sign of life, I tried to close the app. It wouldn’t respond to the software command to quit, so I had to revert to the Force Quit command on my Mac using option/command/escape.
The second time, I replaced the largest attachment with a smaller one, so that my attachments collectively totaled 18.5Mb. I paid $6.99 this time (I guess they charge by file size, not page count) but still received the “Exceeds 20Mb” message and the same opaque scenario played out all over again. After reverting to the Force Quit command on my Mac again, I still have not received any confirmation of any sort that any portion of the email transmitted. No acknowledgement of receipt of message from the software, no separate email acknowledgement. Nothing. Even my dad’s crappy 1980’s fax machine will print an acknowledgement of receipt. What a step backward.
Pretty sad that they charge in advance without providing any recource for a failed fax, even if due to software failure. You can bet that the vendor confirmed receipt of my money. Too bad they won’t reciprocate in kind and confirm delivery of my fax.
Avoid this app if you’re looking to send anything non-trivial.
BEWARE and very questionable
I have attempted to amicably resovle an unjust , questionsble charge $24.99 ($25) for an incomplete fax during the free trial period at least 3x’s in September via their customer support within the app. I requested a refund. No live person to speak with. Finally, I received a reply by Oct 6th (ticket # 157737) saying “thanks for reaching out, someone will get back to you within 12 hours”. Hmmm, I reponded 3 days later, Oct 9th because I hadn’t heard from anyone to acknowledge the unjust charge and the refund from the 7 day free trial . Today is Oct 24th. Unless they respond responsibly as a company, they can’t be trusted. I love to give good reviews, but sadly I had to give a bad review unless they can prove me wrong. I was sending a document while recently filing for unemployment during this season of Covid 19. $25 dollars still matters.
In essence, if you accept this trial you will get charged BEFORE the trial period ends. Customer support option within the app is not real. No one available to speak or respond to you. I was charged the subscription rate of $24.99 BEFORE the 7 day FREE trial ended only for ONE unconfirmed fax? No return receipt for that one fax during trial period. Even worse, the fax was “automically” sent within the APP... BEFORE I completed information on my cover page once I entered the fax number on the cover page. Gee, how does that happen? I hadn’t pressed the self serve send button yet. I complained 3x’s. No answer, no reply. I have a verifiable unauthorized charge just like the other app complaints. I called Apple to delete the subscription from my phone. I better not have another charge. Keep reporting this company, should become court case. I am still waiting for my refund since Sept 16, 2020?

iFax App Send Fax from iPhone Complaints 18
Stay away
I started signing up because they advertised a seven day free trial. After I put in my card information it took me to a page where I could pick my plan. After seeing how expensive it was, I left the website without finishing signing up. My bank blocked the first charge, then two weeks later they charged me again. I contacted the company and they said they couldn't give me a refund because I purchased a fax number, which they said nothing about. When I replied explaining that I never finished registration I got the same generic response. I never got any sort of welcome email, never used the service and had to set up a password to cancel the account I never created. If you accidentally give them your card number just cancel it because they will charge you!
Scam
I tried the free trial fo literally 10 minutes. Tried to cancel it and of course it would freeze every time. So i went to the App Store and canceled. It showed it was canceled. Later I get charged for it because apparently i signed up through the app and also the website for the same service? That makes no sense. How can I subscribe to same service twice? And when i tried rectifying this they refused to give me my money back. Obviously if I did this it was an honest mistake brought on by a confusing app. It’s not like I’ve been using the fax. There was never a way for me to find out i was still subscribed because the free trial was for 7 days, day 8 i was charged. App store showed subscription was canceled a week ago.

No Free trial
After fooling around with this app for an hour I realize that there is no way to send a free fax. I downloaded the app because it said that there was a free 7 day trial. However, when I try to send my fax it shows 0 credits for me and asks me to sign up for a subscription. The free 7day trial is supposed to already set you for for a subscription. One that you must cancel before your trial period is over. If I sign up for one now, I will get charged and I forfeit my trial. At least that’s what the fine print says. So I’m deleting the app. I’ll go with another that will allow me to pay for what I need.
BTW, in anticipation of this review getting a cookie cutter response to reach out to support. I did. About an hour ago.

Hated it
I needed this app to send about 26 pages in medical records. The auto setting would not scan an 8x10 page, so I put it in manual. It appeared to have worked... sent them. After 20 pages the “unlimited” amount was up... I had to get them sent promptly so I paid for 200 credits to send the rest. It kept telling me I couldn’t purchase them so I gave up. I called the office to see if I could send remainder another time and they said the ones they received were landscape oriented not portrait and dark grey... totally unreadable. So I ended up going someplace to send them anyway. 7 days later I went to cancel my “free trial” and I was already billed 24.99 for the following month. So I paid 35.00 for absolutely nothing but a pain. No thanks.

Couldn’t unsubscribe
Wanted to try ifax, subscribed for a free trial but couldn’t unsubscribe. They don’t have customer service phone number, so they can’t help you immediately. Wrote them an email (Bruce W was the one who tried to help me), saying that the subscription button stuck, that it just says “suspended”. He sent me the instructions how to unsubscribe and when I asked for a refund said that I have already purchased the outbound fax subscription. Well, I didn’t))). Feel like they are just trying to make money out of you.
I wouldn’t recommend ifax because:
1. Unsubscribtion procedure should be easy.
2. The ifaxapp should work
3. Should have customer service phone number
4. Should refund money if they see that the person didn’t want to buy the subscription.

SCAM APP! DO NOT DOWNLOAD!
I tried to use iFax to send a fax from my phone in Oct 2018. It didn’t work right and wanted me to pay more for capabilities, so I found a different app, canceled iFax via the app, deleted the app and went on with my life.
Six months later, it’s still not canceled, iFax continues to charge me $26.39 a month, despite multiple cancellations. Their customer support just tells me, “We’ve told you to cancel multiple times.”
1) I canceled in the beginning.
2) I’ve canceled since then.
3) I suspect downloading the app will allow iFax to say, “You opened the app last week!” as they ignore my demands for a refund.
4) Their customer service acts as though this is all my fault. So, clearly, they’re on the up and up.

Watch out
IFax is easy to use but you have to be careful or they’ll over charge you. I signed up for the free 7 day trial and got charged for the faxes sent and received. After the 7 days we’re up they charged my apple account for the 1 week subscription for 7.99 and then charged me around $160.00 for the 1 year subscription on top of everything else, which I did not authorize. Could only send and receive 2 of my faxes in addition. I don’t know if that was a problem on their end or on my end but I definitely don’t think I should have been charged 3 times when I thought I would only pay $7.99 at the most for forgetting to cancel the 7 day trial. Very disappointed. There are better apps out there that let you pay for your faxes by the page so you know what you’re getting charged before hand.

Used to be great. Not anymore
Like everything else this is now an app that hides charges, updates weekly always with half tested new features. Then even if you’ve been using it for years and you have credits tricks you into a free trial. Typical of all the greedy developers that have capitalized on embedded advertising and in app purchases. On top of that it never syncs with Dropbox. I’m looking at the file I need to attach in Dropbox on my phone. This app can’t find it. It used to work great every time. Since they went to the in app purchases stuff it’s never been the same. A constant annoyance every time I fax. Since it’s so rare I was putting up with it but today was the last straw. I’m deleting it on my iPad and iPhone and praying I can cancel whatever popped up when I launched to start my demo subscription.

Credits never arrived in account
I purchased 500 credits for $19.99 and the credits never arrived in my iFad account but the money sure was deducted from my bank account. I have submitted a request for a refund but as of yet have not heard back from this company. I will be submitting a complaint to Apple about it if I don’t get a refund. And I mean a refund of my money, not the credits. I don’t even need the credits anymore since I found a different app to send the exact same 31 page fax for nearly a third of the cost ($7.69) instead of $19.99 like this app charged me. And if all else fails I will just contact my bank and have them void the transactions. But basically what I’m trying to say is... don’t believe the self-hype from company about their app. I never got the product I paid for, and any people have said the same.

i-QUIT Latest iFAX
Max is dead on about this 2017 release. Sorry we dowloaded this "improved" version, and that there is no "roll-back" release made available.
Where have the straightforward screens gone for simply composing your fax, paying for it, then transmitting it?
Tapping the "Home" icon on our i-pad doesn't bring up the routine to begin composing a fax; it displays only past faxes sent. Period. Who coded this quirky release claimed to offer improved performance? And--not that it matters now--is this i-pad app still "free".
Time to share Max's response and inform interested others and move on to another, more stable and adequately supported fax app.

I would give zero stars if I could. I have found no other way to be able to get ahold of these people. You need to have a subscription to email them for support which is crazy. I had very time sensitive documents to fax so I signed up for the free 7day. The app wasn’t working for me at all. I tried everything I could , even go through different WiFi but the fax never went through. I canceled the same day but I was still charged the full amount. I went through my bank to get my money back but the app lied and said that I was benefiting from the app and not eligible for a refund which is not true at all. I have now gotten emails saying to update my payment for my recurring subscription which again I cancelled on day 1. I just want my subscription cancelled and my money back for an app that never worked for me!

The customer service is abysmal
After canceling my subscription through the App, I was unsure if it had processed as I got no verification. I contacted support multiple times requesting confirmation that my subscription had been cancelled and received the same response each time: an email telling me how to cancel my subscription. Each time, I selected the link provided at the bottom of the email “Yes, Please Cancel” And responded that I had already gone through the process through the app and simply wanted receipt of cancellation to insure my account would not be charged. After never receiving confirmation, I gave up and removed my payment information from my Apple ID.
I have now received several emails from iFax in the past few days saying my services have been suspended for non payment and to update my payment details to resume service. Unbelievable.

HORRIBLE, NON-EXISTANT Customer support
I purchased a free trial for this app and decided it wasn’t what I needed so canceled my subscription. The app charged me $100 anyway in spite of canceling the subscription within the allotted timeframe! I even received a confirmation email that my cancellation was successful. Since there is no customer support number to call, I used the customer support email to explain the situation and request a refund. No response from them at all! Buyer Beware: DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE 7 DAY “FREE” TRIAL! You will be charged even if you decide within the timeframe to cancel and no one from customer support will respond. I see multiple complaints now from other reviewers about similar experiences and I also see the response from the app to email customer support...[censored]! You can email them til the cows come home and no one will get back to you.

Image sent too poor to read
I recently got iFax because I had to send a form to my doctor and another one to my sons to be filled out and returned to school. I filled out both phones on my phone using Adobe and then save them to send to doctors office . The first fax was a little challenging to send because the fax number you are sending to is not entered on the screen with the rest of the cover page information. But that’s easy enough to learn so I guess it wasn’t too hard, but it went downhill from there.
Both doctors offices complained that the was fax cover page was too faint to read. Likewise neither office could read information entered on the health forms themselves. I ended up driving to one office to deliver the formwhere I was able to see what they received and that it was also very grainy making even words like Name and Address too challenging to read.
Overall I would call iFax a dud.

Recipient still has not received my fax after a week
Cannot depend on this service to send my fax and have confidence it was received. It is now over a week and still hasn’t been received. No confirmation it was received on their end. Literally EVERYTHING is an upsell. Cannot see any useful information on transmission security so had to research the website. Website is just as vague. Cannot change the quality of the fax without “upgrade”. Most likely the reason I never got a received confirmation. Cannot make a simple file folder without the upgrade. Absolutely no benefit or guarantee a fax is readable upon receipt unless they take your hard earned money. I only use fax service rarely so subscribing is a waste of money especially at the rate they charge annually.
Sent a request to support and got a response back in code! Wow… that tells me a lot about their support/service.
I do not trust this service and I’m deleting this app.

SHADY BILLING!
when downloading app I was directed to the pricing plans. I chose 7 day free trial and monthly pricing thereafter. After the app downloaded I proceeded to setup my account and part of the setup was choosing another pricing option. I thought this was weird but there was no way to skip so I chose another option. I wanted to be safe and double check that they weren’t charging me twice. Lo and behold I had to cancel two different subscriptions (ifax for $14.99 per month and ifax-pro for $17.99 per month). If I hadn’t caught this during setup I’m sure this company would have charged me for the 2nd subscription after the 7 day trial that they sneakily trick people into signing up for. This is a dispicable practice and there are various companies that offer this service for a much lower price or for free not to mention they don’t scam you into being charged for something you weren’t aware you signed up for.

RIPOFF UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES!
USER BE VERY AWARE! After using a few times they suddenly started charging me $17.99 a month which I did not authorize! I have emailed their support demanding a full refund of the total charges! I have not even used this app 8 months! I have been very busy this past year with both my father and mother passing away and an illness of my own and I kept wondering why my Apple charges were so much. I just thought I must have been downloading a lot of music! I finally took a look tonight and realized I’ve been getting ripped off. The previous reviewer said they told him they had no way to refund his money! Funny thing, they can take my money but they can’t refund it? What an unprofessional outfit! I will be getting Apple involved to report them and make sure I am repaid in full! There should not be automatic renewals of any kind without first being notified and approving it! They stole my money right out of my bank account! Thieves!

What a scam!
Don’t get this product on spec. You may not be able to get rid of it.
On 1/13 I looked at both Ifax apps, used one, was dissatisfied with the results, and have been trying ever since to cancel my subscriptions with them, and this was before the deadline of 1/20. I even cancelled my debit card with my bank and asked them to stop payment. They told me I had to try to work it out with the vendor first, so I tried twice to request a refund for both products.
They didn’t ask what the problem was; the only choice that was remotely close stated that “I didn’t want to renew”.
I DIDN’T WANT TO SIGN UP IN THE FIRST PLACE! I don’t want their apps; I had deleted them immediately. But I can’t seem to find anyone there to help me. Meanwhile, they’ve charged me over $200 for something I never wanted nor asked for.
All I can do is post this review, and hope that a) someone at Ifax may actually see this and help me, or b) that I can stop a user from making the same mistake I did in trying this product. Don’t.

I use ifax for my business and they are super helpful and reliable I have never looked back as its the cheapest and best value for money on the market.
