I don’t know how old this thread is, but inboxdollars was bought buy another company and things have gone downhill since then. I’ve been member for 15 years or more and never had a problem with redeeming giftcards or payouts. Now that they are owned by this new company, there is a multitude of problems.

They will do just about anything to keep from paying out. You must log into your acct a 2nd time, once you indicate that you want to cashout. Then they will email you a verification code to input on their website.

They actually have several gimmicks that they use. For instance, one is mislabel the payment if you cashout via paypal. Paypal will not payout under these circumstances. This buys them more time to hold your money, or to keep it should you just throw your hands up and give up.

The gimmick with the verification code is the code expires in 15 minutes and by the time they email you the code ( several hours later) it’s expired. Speaking to them yields no help at all. They will ignore that you’ve written them about this problem in any replies and will not make reference to it at all, as if you never mentioned it. In fact I sent them screenshots that show proof of when the codes were requested and when they were sent and received. Plain proof that the codes are coming late. This was blatantly ignored, because to address it would mean that they would have to admit wrong doing and pay up.

All replies will implore you to fork over you ID. All they want is for you to send in a copy of your ID and a selfie to a 3rd party verifier. This is yet another stall tactic because all to many times after they have harvested your ID and sent in a selfie, they have the nerve to say it didn’t pass verification. OOOKKK, so at that point, I guess the next option, a DNA test to prove that you are your parents’ child. I’m sure that will result in them saying your DNA is not yours or your parents didn’t pass verification too. It’s insanity at it’s best.

What’s most interesting to me is that inbox A) wants to verify me me after over 15 years ( I don’t think long standing accts should be required to verify). B) don’t care who or what you are while you are doing surveys and accruing a balance. Only after you want your money are they so concerned as to who you are.

This is obvious to anyone that this is a stall tactic to slow down the cashout process. Or a scare tactic to keep you from demanding your money. Most compaines will hold all members monies in an acct that they will accrue interst off of. So, the longer they can stall you the more interst they will get. If they can intimidate you from cashing out altoghter than that’s just MONEY IN THE BANK!

This just shows that the are not a morally ethical company, because to keep or attempt to keep money that rightfully be longs to someone else is nothing but plain stealing. There is not way to sugarcoat it. Any genuine company/person who has money that doesn’t belong to them would not rest until they gave that person their money. Not inbox, they sleep like babies at night, with no worries about the faithful members they have robbed. Or the fact that they have put so many people’s personal info at risk.

inbox has no control over what this 3rd party verifier does with your information and no way to grantee that they will not mishandle it. So it’s obvious that they don’t care. I’m pretty sure too that if the verifier mishandles your info inbox will blink innocently and claim no liability for it. That’s if the even acknowledge being informed of it happening. They will ignore it right up until the day you take them to court, I’m sure.

If you do an online search you will see that there is such a verifier that has to pay out millions of dollars because they were mishandling people’s information. I’m not sure if they are the same company, but it just gives me extra incentive not to take that chance. It also seems to me that this is something called identity phishing. It is most certainly is a violation of your rights. Just because they wrote in their terms of agreements that they will require you to verify doesn’t mean that it’s legal. Nor does it mean you have to do it get your money. Inboxdollar’s terms of agreement does not supersede the actual law. They want you to think it does, but it doesn’t.

I have researched and found that there are a huge number of victims who have been subjected to this fraud. It seems that as they get away with it they become more embolden and do it more and more. Please don’t let them get away with doing this to you or anyone you know. Do as I have done and report them to the BBB, their state’s Attorney General and Consumer Affairs and anyone else you can think of. If you can report them to any local or major news outlets as well.

Claimed loss: 57.74.

Desired outcome: I would like a check issued in the amount accrued on my acct.

I asked that you ( and any or other victims they are doing this to) please file a complaint with the BBB, consumer affairs, their state's Attorney General and any local news outlet. The more we all complain the more this issue will be brought to light. They will start to lose more current panelists and a smaller volume of new victims will signup. I know they will sit up and pay attention then because that will mean less revenue for them. It's most unfortunate, but these days companies don't really care until their bottom lines are affected. This is the only way to make companies like this pay attention.

I am also planning to go onto their site and take note of all the sponsors which you can shop through and do things for points and letting them know how they are treating their panelists. I've had to do this to a company in the past and believe you me didn't they stand up an pay attention. I let them know what I was going do and CC them the email I sent to each company. When I got to about the 3rd one, I magically got the gift cards they had owed me for over a year.

Don't just be a victim and do nothing, fight back folks! Singularly we are small but together we are big and have much power. More power than you could imagine. More than they want us to know that we have. Stop letting unethical companies and big corps run all over you!

I am updating to let others know that after reporting this company I was able to then cash-out. They then followed this by sending me an email requesting a review on sitejabber. I'm not sure what in their minds made them think this was a smart thing to do after the way I was treated. The fact that they would treat panelists, the back bone of their company, this way speaks volumes about their integrity as a company. That they had the nerve to expect a positive review for actually doing what they were suppose to do in the first place just shows how utterly insane they are! I would have happily given a glowing review if they would have done right from the beginning w/out all the drama. They say give credit where credit is due.. Well the same goes for praise and they certainly aren't due any. Hopefully they will do better in time so that I can speak highly of them as I used to do before this incident and before inbox was taken over by it's current owner(s). As it is now I no longer recommend them to friends and associates, because I don't want to be embarrassed or loose friendships for introducing people to this type of company.
