I paid for a service and all they did was a background check. I've been trying to contact someone to complain, but no one will reply. This company is a scam. They should be looked into. I'm trying to figure out how to complain to the licensing agency. Don't waste your money. I gave them a bunch of info and they didn't do anything.

It's so disappointing how they take advantage of people who are in need of assistance. I definitely don't recommend them! I'm going to report them too. They're like, really aggressive, you know?
They're like, really aggressive, you know? And they can be a bit rude and kinda intimidating. So, I gave 'em a call on their 1888 number, right? The hotline said some investigator would call me back in 30 minutes. But guess what? They didn't! So, I waited like an hour and twenty minutes and decided to call again. They told me to submit my request again. So, I did. But then, another whole hour passed and I had to call a third time. And guess what they told me? Yup, you got it! They asked me to submit my request again. Can you believe it?
Finally, the investigator called me back, but man, they were yelling at me with this attitude, you know? They were all like, "Your phone must be hacked 'cause you resubmitted your request 7 times!" They didn't even let me talk and were super aggressive. I gotta say, their manners were really poor, like, seriously rude. And honestly, they scared the heck outta me.

They get two stars because they fully confirmed that I was the one paying the money (ensuring card not stolen, etc) with extra procedures, and they did not just run with the money. My case isn't closed yet because they are not finished. So first, they are honest. They get two stars just from that. They could get another star from me just by communicating regularly. They aren't the easiest to reach, part of that could be their commitment to customer privacy. If they could develop a habit of reaching out to the customer with "no updates" or "we are actively investing," it would help their customer service side. They are missing a forth star because it took months before there was movement on my case. From what they told me on their lack of available agents, the company might be biting off more than it can chew. I recommend to customers to confirm that there ARE agents to put on your case before signing the contract. I recommend to the company to evaluate if you can provide agents and to say "no" to new customers when you cannot provide agents. A customer can always search for another investigating service, but once the customer is yours, you need to provide the service. I reached out to them while in desperation and continue to experience this stress. And no outcome is guaranteed. So I'm sure that makes the fifth star hard to reach for any company who investigates. Star five would be a happy resolution. In summary, they are not a scam, but there are some things that they can work on: communication skills and saying "no" to new cases when they have to. The outcome of an investigation depends on circumstances outside of our control, but I hope for many happy outcomes, including my own.

Note why I contacted them: I was adopted by a wonderful family who unfortunately is now deceased and later in life I decided to try and find my biological family outside the country. I have been trying on my own for over a decade. I gave them my birth certificate, adoption papers, etc., and within 2 months I was given a very brief 2 page "Report" telling my mother has passed & I may have 2 half siblings. However, none of this information they provided me with was ever supported with any other documentation such a phone number of one of the siblings, death certificate, etc. Attached below is my abbreviated letter to the President of the company, Mr. R who only addressed a more recent issue of mine in paying me back for illegally charging my credit card 9 months later and without authorization after my case was "closed" in February . In order to get this recent bill reimbursed to me, I had to take legal action and filed a formal complaint with the States Attorneys office this year (2020), since he & his staff have been ignoring my phone calls & emails for months. Letter: I am contacting you since I apparently have an outstanding invoice that was billed to me from your company almost 9 months after my case was closed. Please note that after my contact with you and after my case was closed, I was never shown any evidence that my mother was deceased nor was there any additional information that was provided to me that I had requested numerous times , yet your office has debited my credit card with no notice of what it was for! I am appalled, sick and now frustrated, since as I tried to explain to you before (See my email below to you in April ), I was not completely happy with the service that I was being provided to me by Tyler. My case was closed in February last year and since then none of my email requests for additional information were ever addressed, received or answered. Nor has anyone ever explained to me that by merely calling after my case was closed there would be any additional charges! For what - unanswered emails? Again, as of this date, I had never received the pertinent data supporting any of your companys findings, nor a phone number to any relative that may have been contacted, no picture(s), or burial information, or even a cemetery name, etc., in the 2 page report that your staff - Tyler provided me with last year. The only responses I ever got from Tyler was needing more money if he provided me with a phone number to one of my half siblings. This is the best he said he could do for me! ... I am a respectable & successful business man and paid a considerable amount of money for their services. I feel I have been taken advantage of and only wanted someone to just respond in a professional manner addressing my concerns. If someone was to have a legitimate and formal complaint against my company for anything, I surely wouldnt ignore that person and wait for the client to file a complaint with the States Attorneys office. Good thing they helped me recover some of my costs, however, my search for my biological family continues and has now been put back in my hands.

They would not speak with me, even threatened to call the police if I did not leave. all I have ever wanted was the report of what they found, or give me my money back. However, *** started late and finished late, saying that it couldn't be done unless I paid more. They didn't give me a proper quote and I ended up paying $1400. *** said he didn't consider my budget.
I spoke with the head of the company, ***, who promised to refund some of the credits I had. I agreed to pay some small charges for ***'s work. After 2 weeks, I received the receipt with charges for things that didn't even happen (zoom calls that *** didn't set up correctly) and a minimum fee, which meant I didn't get any refund. I told them I would complain, but I haven't heard back from them.

I paid $800.00 and was told to send the box in a brown paper bag! I immediately canceled the contract right then. A representative, ***, said the work was already completed and I had to pay a part of the non-refundable fee. I told him that a contract can be canceled within three days, but he said: "It's the law" that I have to pay $231.00 for the work? I gave this company $4500.00 on 04/09. I'm a 100% disabled veteran and they said they'd do a polygraph test for me in Japan. They even offered to pay for my trip to Hawaii to meet the examiner. I told them I'm retired military and can fly for free. Then they asked me to meet the examiner to bypass covid rules. I said no, I'm already paying a lot for the test in Japan because of my health problems. I could've paid $500 myself, didn't need them to arrange it in the USA. It's been 3 weeks since I last heard from them. I want my money back. How can a company do this to a disabled vet? I got radiation sickness from helping with a nuclear accident while in the military, protecting people from all over the world. I needed this test done over 2 months ago. Their agent recently contacted me, saying they couldn't find anything online and needed more funding to extend the search. I asked for a refund because I paid over $900 USD and expected more than just an online search. The agent refused, citing the contract and not providing details on their next steps. I just want my refund because the contract didn't clearly explain their approach.

He said he had trouble keeping employees due to coverage issues, but had an agent in *** working on it. He promised to contact me the following Monday. That was 3 weeks ago. Since then, I've tried calling, emailing, and talking to his answering service countless times. He hasn't responded to any of my attempts. I just wanted an update on my case, like he said he would provide. But he hasn't made any effort to contact me at all. After reading his reviews online, I realized this is a common practice for him and his company. He takes money from clients without doing anything about their case. I emailed him asking for a refund since he won't do anything about my situation.
