J2 Global
We are a Veterinary clinic and for the past couple of days, we have been receiving calls from this company. When answered, it just gives us a long beep as though someone is attempting to send a fax.
This has occurred over 15 times a day and interrupts our day-to-day phone calls with clients trying to call in for emergencies. These phone calls aren't even spread out throughout the day, they come in one after another. I hung up on that number as the other line was ringing, just to pick up the line to J2 Global again. When I attempt to look up J2 Global, the number that is being called in doesn't even match the number that is found online.
Please help us resolve this issue!
Desired outcome: I would like for these calls to discontinue immediately!! Please! =[
Constant phone calls from a fax machine
We get calls from this company frequently and when they call it is all throughout the day, several times a day. I report it and it will stop for a bit then it starts again. It started up again yesterday (I wasn't here to log the calls) but so far today we have had 4 calls from [protected] and they called at 1:00, 1:06, 1:12 and 1:27. I'm sure it will continue and I will track them.
This is a business and it is not convenient when we have clients calling in for an emergency for their pet and this number is constantly popping up taking a line away from the business. I have no idea who/what this company is and we have no business dealings with them. We do not have the type of phone lines that we can block incoming numbers.
Desired outcome: The phone calls will stop and this company will just...stop.
Telemarketers calling using fake numbers.
On 2/1/23 9:51am I was disturbed by a hang up call from j2 global. I looked at the caller I’d and it said it was a 801 number. I looked up the company and it is not in area code 801 so they are definitely altering the caller I’d.When I called back it was a fax machine. I believe they called me when I answered they hung up then sold my number as active to a call center in India. Immediately fallowing a bunch of scammers called me trying to steal money all from a call center in India.
Desired outcome: Compensation for my lost time and annoyance. the company fined fined by ftc

fax.com
I've been speaking with a representative from Fax.com, via e-mail, regarding billing I am STILL receiving after leaving them in 2020! I sent them a screen print of my statement so they can see it's being deducted each month. They owe me money and I'll go through all my statements to add everything up.
I just noticed today on my last month's statement deductions of "J2 FAX.COM" and J2 Efax". I DO have an active account at Fax.com, so that's not an issue. I'm guessing this is the same company? Here's what it shows on my statement:
J2 * FAX.COM [protected], CA, USA −$11.99
Now they're asking me for the last four digits of the card being billed, my user name, etc..
Desired outcome: Want money back for all the years/months they've taken money out of my account.
over charged on electric & gas bills
Keep getting calls for over charged on electric & gas bills. offering $50.00 rebate and a 35% reduction on my bills. I called my electric & gas companies and they said that your company is not associated or is connected in any way with them. every time I get a call the last 4 numbers are different and when I call the number back it is either no longer in service or disconnected.
Desired outcome: No more calls or I will contact the FCC. I will also contact my lawyer for phone harassment.
spam calls
This Company has been spam calling my business at least 20 times a day for the last week. Everytime we pick up the phone it just beeps at us and noone is there. We keep trying to block the number and it doesn't work. It is very difficult to run a business when dealing with this nonsense. It is wasting our time and our clients time. They are calling from phone number [protected]
Desired outcome: Stop the spam calls
J evoice e j ereceptionist
A distanza di circa una settimana hanno fatto due diversi addebiti, per servizi mai richiesti, non ho mai sentito parlare nemmeno del sito, ho bloccato temporaneamente la carta ma ho bisogno di capire cosa succede.
Fax line portalbility
I have used [protected] as my business fax number for the past 6 years. I acquired the number after subscribing to fax.com's internet fax. Now that I need to meet new regulatory requirement - they have refused to let the number ported. They claimed FCC's rule applies only to carriers but had I known the number was not portable, I would not have used it as my primary fax number.
Desired outcome: let me port my number.
They keep calling our business but only beeps like a fax
This is the service writer from Butch's Complete Car Care. Our business phone number is [protected]. J2 Global (phone number [protected]) keeps calling our regular business phone over and over sometimes daily and when the call is answered it only beeps like its a fax line. It is interrupting our business way to often and we would really like this situation resolved or we will report you to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU and other authorities so that this stops! If you need more information please contact Nate at [protected].
Desired outcome: To not have this number call anymore
The phone number [protected] calls with an automated message about our extended vehicle warranty when this is not a personal number. The number they are calling is Butch's Complete Car Care (we are a vehicle repair facility only) and our number is [protected]. We want to be removed from there automated calling list immediately or we will be notifying the proper authorities to rectify this situation.
fake subscription/fraudulent charge
Received a security alert from my credit card company (thanks Chase Sapphire!) on a $137.44 charge. Evoice charged me for a subscription to their services, even though I have never heard of them or visited their website. Spoke with the customer service guy - he could not find my credit card number anywhere in their system. When I told him they were running a fraud, he insisted that was my "opinion" instead of a really obvious fact. For reference, appeared on my credit card as: J2 *Evoice. The merchant telephone number captured by my credit card company was [protected].
telemarketing to the point of harassment
To whom it may concern,
We receive phone calls on our home number of 303-362-0663 consistently. Anywhere from daily to every three days, we have even received multiple attempts in a single day. The calls begin automated with a female voice named Christie. (Although there has been other names) The calls vary regarding different things, this last one is regarding lowering an interest rate on a credit card. It states this is the final attempt to reach us before our file is closed. (Yeah right, if we were only that lucky) The calls asks for specific financial information. If you answer correctly it then takes you to a live individual. I have responded to these questions both ways in hopes of ending the calls. Alas neither works. I have asked the live individual to remove our number from your records. I was then placed on hold for two hours before I finally disconnected the call. The individual clearly had no intentions of coming back. I have the calls saved on our caller ID. We are going to ask one final time to please remove our number from all of your telemarketing databases. Do not call our residence any longer. Not for credit card services, car warranty services, home equity loan services, NOTHING. We are not in need of anything and if we were, we would not use any of your services if only for the horrible experiences we have with your telemarketing calls. Please remove the number listed above from all of your databases.
I didn't sign up for any service
This company is taking nearly $50 out of my account in the last two days and I don't know where they got my debit card information. I submitted a complaint to my online bank that the money has been taken out of hopefully I'll get it back whoever it is that is behind this company should be put in jail as they must be making a lot of money if they've taken $50 from as many people as are complaining about them according to the Better Business Bureau
This company keeps taking money out of my account. I don't know how they got access but in the last two days they have taken out nearly$50 I'm seeing online that there are several complaints that are just like mine about this company and they are not registered in the Better Business Bureau who has them listed as a company that has had hundreds of complaints so far J2 Evoice — Billing for services not purchased
Slimeball company that calls your bank and gets your new bank account from them..
Just so they don't slimeball you over. Here's the unpublished J2-Fax phone number to cancel the account: [protected]. I changed by account number on my bank acount to prevent company like J2 Fax from charging my credit card without autherization, and the slime balls called up and asked the bank for my new account number and hit me with an other $110/year charge when i wasn't looking for some account I don't even remember. When was it ever ok for companies like J2 Fax to call you bank to uncancel your serive and ask for your new bank account number? Seems to me this was always the fast way to cancel your accounts in the old days.
Keep getting a call that is a recording stating I have been investigated for tax fraud and if I don't call them back I will be charged with fraudulent tax reporting. It's only a recording that calls. I called it back from a different phone other than mine and it is a recording asking me to leave a message then says that the message box is full. I know it's a bunch of crap, but don't know who to report it to.
These people should be jailed
J2 efax plus services
I used efax only once during 1 month trial period on 25 September 2013. I used in a hurry at night. In the process I overlooked all the terms and conditions. I provided bank details, thinking that they are to be used for verification purpose only. Since October 2013 till now, they have been taking £9 from my account as subscription fee, which I discovered a week ago only. They have never sent me a letter or invoice to me about the monthly subscription fee. I have never logged in or used the efax account since 25 Septemeber 2013. It has been more that £200 so far. Should I not be refunded the monies (at least by deducting some administration fees)? I think this is a typical example of unjust enrichment which law of equity should not allow. Not the least their advertisement on the webpage is also highly misleading.
Billing error no refund
We opened an online FAX account for our one fax number in September of 2011. We were assigned a temporary number by My Fax to use until our Fax number could be ported over from PacBell. The first charge was $10. Then when the number was ported MyFax charged us for both our number and the temp number THEY assigned us. We had used a DEBIT card to open the account and did not discover this until April 2015. By then we had overpayed by $420. My Fax offered to refund only $60. No one disputed the overcharge they just refuse to refund our money. Our view is it was their mistake. We never ordered two lines and the second line had never been used. We didn't even receive the unsolicited vacation offers, loans and insurance junk mails our fax line got . We also never received an itemized bill which would have alerted our bookkeeper to the problem. They said we could of requested a monthly bill but we were never offered the opportunity.
I know. Old thread and all but people should know that nearly every monthly service out there operates under the same policy It is your responsibility to make sure you are being charged and paying properly and not being overcharged. The typical timeframe given is 90 days. If you don't look at your bill and notice it for 120 days, they'll still give you 90 days and no more. 3 years? You get 90 days. and that's actually reasonable.
What's nor resonable is how I got signed up for an evoice line 2 months ago that I didn't order. I've read numerous accounts of this happening. And then I find out that they own all of these companies (some may no longer be around)

They call EVERY day and if I pickup, they hang up...WTH!?
They obviously ignore the do not call registry...VERY ANNOYING!
yes, they call every day, hang up when I answer, and when I call the number on caller id, get message stating that number is not in service, what is the purpose of that?, these folks must lead pathetic little lives...
Charging my credit card after 30 day free trial
I signed up for a thirty day trial for their fax services. Of course they ask you for your credit card number. After my thirty day trial was expired (Which I never used) The began charging my credit card a monthly fee. Upon discovering this, I called their legal dept. They looked over my account, saw that I never used their services and DID NOT CARE LESS about my dispute. Basically said, "Hey you signed up for it and that's that." She did everything but laugh over the phone. At this point I will take to social media to warn everyone about their business practices. I have read other complaints about this company double billing customers as well. STAY AWAY FROM J2 E FAX SERVICES!

Service quit working
I've been using Onebox for over 10 years. Their email service quit working about 10 days ago. I contacted customer service and was given case # [protected]. It was determined the problem was with Onebox and their email servers. I have attempted to contact them each and every day, but no one has contacted me or responded to my messages. Onebox needs to fix their system and proactively respond to customer issues.
8 months of false billing
j2 Onebox will screw you when you try to cancel a phone line. We have a few with them and we cancelled 8 months ago and they kept billing us and when we caught the 500 bucks in extra charges they said that we never cancelled.. so now I have to call my bank and reverse the charges. What BS! I am so pissed at J2 OneBOX and if you cancel you must get it in writing and jump through a lot of hoops as their intent is to keep racking up fees on the account without any service rendered! SCAMMMERS!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Vague, ridiculous TOS. Poor treatment of customer of 10 yrs
I was a customer of the "Onebox" service for about 10 years. They later got swallowed up by a bigger company, J2. That usually spells trouble for the customer...
I've been using the Email service & the Toll-free number that are part of Onebox, to communicate with my customers...
I have a small business, and typically send about 150 emails/day. Have been doing so for a couple of years.
But today, after they disrupted me by suddenly cutting my service, I was told that "150 emails/day" is considered "BULK" mailing! WTF? 150 emails/day regarded as "bulk"?!? That's utterly RIDICULOUS! If I pay $10/month and can't send 150 emails/day, what kind of a joke of an email account is that?
In addition to apparently changing the terms on me, and setting ludicrous limits, they have been unprofessionally vague (the service rep couldn't give me an actual number of how many emails that are allowed per day, can you believe that?)
Also, their cutting off the account with absolutely no notice was heavy-handed.
If they treat a customer of 10 years with such callous insensitivity, imagine what they do to newer customers!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Billing for services not purchased
This company has billed me on two separate occasions for services I never purchased. Once in 2006 and again recently. Both times getting them to stop monthly charges is a circus. This recent issue has entailed four telephone calls getting a reference number that does not allow them to look up the file. I have to give them my credit card number each time, which has resulted in continued billing of services. I asked for a supervisor and was told one was not available and one would call me back. Guess what? No call back. I have filed fraud reports with credit card company and I have filed complaint with Better Business Bureau. Customer service and resolving complaints gives this company an F. I would never do business with them and will keep tweeting their issues to my 1 million + followers.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Did you just put this review on ? If so they tried to snack on my bank account too no later than yesterday.
They just tried to do the same using my Visa debit card. Someone has to STOP THEM !
