Joom Review: Terrible Customer Service, Misleading Information & Zero Accountability!
As an online shopper, I had a really bad experience with Joom, the e-commerce site. I was excited to buy two products that I was really looking forward to, but when I received no delivery even after weeks, I became worried. When I contacted Joom, their customer service team informed me that the products were already in the Dublin sorting office. However, when I called the Dublin post office, I got to know that the products had never left Estonia! This was a red flag for me, and I informed Joom about this discrepancy.
To my surprise and disgust, Joom's response was far from satisfactory. They claimed that I had signed for the products in Estonia when I live in Waterford, Ireland. Upon realizing their mistake, they asked me to email them the communication from Dublin Post Office. When I complied, they claimed that their program couldn't open the email attachment. They then asked me to forward the document to Google Drive and send them the link, which I did. However, when they couldn't open that either, they simply sent me the same generic response. It was obvious to me, at this point, that nobody was helping me from their complaints department.
Joom's poor English and their inability to offer relevant solutions made things worse. Instead of giving me the right information, they tried to mislead me - just terrible! It seemed like every time I did as they asked, they would come back with another set of unhelpful responses.
I must say that, as a former call center manager, I am appalled by Joom's customer service standards. They are totally unprofessional, ill-equipped to understand their customer's issues, and their robotic responses are insulting. It doesn't seem like they care about customer satisfaction at all. In my opinion, they must be on commission to not help people. The experience has been frustrating, disappointing, and upsetting. I strongly suggest that you steer away from Joom.

I placed an order with them a month ago and according to the tracking, it was handed over to DHL on the 18th of November. However, the shipping information went dark for 3 and a half weeks. I was finally notified on the 14th of December that my package was being handed to DHL again. I couldn't help but wonder where the package had been sitting for nearly a month. It seemed highly likely that it had been damaged in some way.
To make matters worse, I needed the item to arrive before my trip from Australia to New Zealand, which was only 6 days away. At this point, there was no way that the package would arrive on time. I contacted Joom, and they were of little help. I asked that they redirect the package to me in New Zealand, where I would be staying for the next 6 months. I made it clear that I would not accept it being left on my doorstep for that length of time. In fact, I even went as far as telling them that if they refused, I would request a full refund. Unfortunately, they were utterly unhelpful and failed to refund me.
When the package was supposedly delivered, I was unable to locate it anywhere. I contacted Joom once again, and they suggested that I contact Australia Post. However, I had already reached out to them and was informed that only the sender could lodge an inquiry or investigation. As I was not the sender, I was unable to do so, and therefore, I lost out. This situation has been incredibly frustrating and highly stressful. Not only has it ruined my holiday and Christmas, but it has caused me so much wasted time writing to them.

When I contacted customer service regarding the issue, Jose Carlos Garcia Tapia tried to explain that the material was not genuine leather. Furthermore, upon further inspection of the jacket, the texture and color were very artificial, and it was made of a real plastic product.
Joom's reply was that the seller did not specify that the jacket was made of genuine leather. While I understand the argument made by Joom's customer service team, it was still frustrating because, in the search engine, there were categories like PU Leather, Faux Leather, Leather, and Patent Leather. The seller had listed the jacket under "Leather," which led me to believe that it was made of genuine leather. If the seller had the option to put it under "PU Leather" or "Faux Leather," then the seller should have been obliged by Joom to list it in the correct category. If not, Joom and the seller are cheating the client.
Joom should be obliged to give accurate and clear information on its search engine. For Example, it should mention "Genuine Leather" instead of just "Leather." Furthermore, Joom acknowledged that the jacket's fabric was just an artificial leather, and they offered a full refund if I returned the jacket. However, I would have to bear the cost of sending the jacket back to the seller, which was a shameless act.
I feel like I have been cheated by Joom and the seller, and I am disappointed that I have to pay for return postal charges. Moreover, I will no longer be buying from Joom as I do not want to be disappointed again like this. I plan to return the jacket and share my experiences all over the internet. When I contacted customer service, I was met with a lack of transparency. The representative I spoke to only provided me with one reply per day, and even used a fake name. They informed me that they would only provide a refund if I broke the device and provided photographic evidence, but I would have to keep the parts until they processed the refund. It was frustrating having to go through all these hoops to try and get my money back.
To add insult to injury, Joom refused to refund me for the customs check that I had to pay despite the fact that the item was fake, bad quality and faulty. I tried two more cards, both of which were also declined. I knew the issue wasn't with my credit card company because they had approved the transactions using 2-Step verification. To make matters worse, all three of my credit cards were being declined wherever I used them in the last 24 hours. I had to work hard to get them reactivated again, which was a lot of effort on my part.

Upon receiving what I believed to be a Sandisk flash drive, I quickly realized that the product was not authentic and in fact a fake item. The price on the envelope was a mere one dollar, which seemed suspiciously low for a flash drive with a capacity of 256GB.
As I began transferring my files onto the drive, I quickly discovered that its capacity was not as advertised. Of course, this was incredibly frustrating as I had invested in what I thought was a high-quality product. Upon further inspection, I noticed that a hologram sticker was attached to the bottom of the flash drive, reading 256GB. I peeled off the sticker only to uncover that the real capacity was scratched out, revealing a much smaller storage space.
