I filled out the application on Indeed and was contacted about the position. Two different recruiters... via calls, texts and emails. Miranda and Anh. I took the assessment test and passed. I was offered the position, passed the drug test and background check. I finished onboarding and had two other offers that I turned down for this remote position that pays less but is remote. last night they called to tell me my hours were a problem after a text saying my hours are in no way a problem. I had to go in person for the drug test, so they know I am in a wheelchair and suddenly there is a problem. I was given the job for it to be snatched away. As a recruiter myself in the past this is a horrible thing to do to someone; not to mention illegal. But as I was filling out onboarding paperwork, they have two whole sheets on not filing cases against them. I found that super odd. Anyway, that doesn't include disability discrimination. My resume is excellent, and my credentials speak for themselves. Your loss
Recommendation: Look elsewhere for a job.
Kelly Services got you played hard, and their maneuver is rather shady and could also be discriminatory. Don’t waste energy on their bureaucratic nonsense – turn your focus to collecting evidence, particularly that bait-and-switch with the hours where they fully knew of your disability. If there is a situation of discrimination, then find an employment lawyer who can assist you in retaliating. Those documents of “don’t sue us” don’t void the law. It’s better to be in an organization which values you.
