In Sept. 2011 I purchased a mico mini labradoodle through www.americanlabradoodles.com My dog was shipped from Indiana to NY . A micro mini dog according to the breeder weights no more than 15 lbs. My dog is currently 22 lbs. The dog was supposed to be a Mahogony color but he is definitely black. The contract states that after I send proof of nuturing, I would receive the dogs papers. I did this in Dec. 2011 and since then requested these PAPERS several times. The website states they are NAKC registered. I just found out there is no such things as the North American Kennel Club. I also requested a photo of the father of my puppy at least 4 times and have not received any comment. I did get a photo of the supposed mother but who knows for sure. My husband warned me against buying a puppy without seeing him and breeder but I was dead set on this puppy. Of course, we are totally in love with him but still annoyed with this breeder.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
We also bought a dog from Marianne at American Labradoodles. We also love her, but we were never given any breeding info as promised. She was 6 months old when we adopted her, she was not at all the dog the represented. She had never had a color on, was not leash or housebroken and is still to this day so frightened of everything, especially women, she must have suffered some abuse from them or neglect. She was told we wanted to use her as a therapy dog, no way with her fears. We love her but just wanted to warn others not to trust this breeder.
I have just purchased a puppy form American Labradoodle and its pretty much the same story as above. The puppy arrived without papers, and after 5 days, I have received nothing except a lot of excuses from Mariane malcomson. The puppy hasn't had any shots, I have no idea when it was born, how big it will get, and what its parentage is. Pretty much everything she represented has proven to be false, including telling me dogs aren't required to be vacinated in Indiana until they are 8 months old ( a quick Google check disproved this). Im not even sure this is a labradoodle, and frankly don't want to spend the money on a DNA test to find out. She is going back to them.
I wish I had seen this web site prior to purchase. I am negotiating a refund, but I will be out the shipping costs at a minimum.
Ms. Malcomson refunded my purchase money after I returned the pup, we have amicably resolved our situation.
I purchased my labradoodle from Marianne in December 2015, when she was just about 3 years old. I adore her however she has a cataract in one eye and almost complete loss of vision at the age of 5 years old. In May 2020 I gave her a deposit of $1, 000 for another dog, she was in constant contact with me until I started pressing for proof of the puppies since she promised me 3 times they were going to be born "any day darling". Now she's MIA with my $1, 000. If anyone has any information as to where I can find her so I can file a police report I would much appreciate it. DO NOT TRUST THIS WOMAN
