This is the second go-around I have done with LawCrossing, where in the past I had to jump through hoops to cancel our subscription to ensure we didn't continue to be auto charged. They make it to where the cancellation of a job posting is not the same as a cancellation for their monthly subscription to have an account. The online interface only allows for the cancellation of the job posting, which is misleading. LawCrossing profits off of customers inability to properly cancel their services. In addition to the auto charging, there are no receipts emailed for the auto charges, you only receive an email receipt for the initial job posting. Deep in the service details it states you must call their office to cancel the subscription.

Below are the recent details of my steps to resolve our issues.

[01-20-2023] I posted job, charged for ad ($199), and received receipt.

[02-19-2023] Auto charged for LawCrossing job posting ($399 monthly rate); No receipt received.

[End of Feb] I called and spoke with a representative to cancel ad; no longer needed because we hired someone. Ad was originally deleted but the account was set up to auto-renew. Representative “cancelled” the ad and cancelled the account to resolve. (per their cancellation policy, this was handled over the phone and should have been completed)

[03-19-2023] Auto charged for LawCrossing job posting ($399 monthly rate); No receipt received.

[04-19-2023] Auto charged for LawCrossing job posting ($399 monthly rate); No receipt received.

[05-19-2023] Auto charged for LawCrossing job posting ($399 monthly rate); No receipt received.

[Early-June] I received a call from Law Crossing rep to see if we were interested in cross posting the job we posted for a paralegal on another site. I explained that we only use LawCrossing for attorney positions and do not need to post at this time.

[07-12-2023] I Sent Email to LawCrossing and Email stated:

“I just saw on my credit card statement that LawCrossing charged me $399.00 on May 19th. I do not have any job postings and did not authorize a payment or posting. I was contacted by someone from LawCrossing in early June, to let me know they saw my job posting from another site and to see if I wanted my job posted to LawCrossing. I informed them that we typically only use LawCrossing for attorney positions and this was for a paralegal and do not wish to post on the site. Please let me know who I need to contact to get this refunded to my card.”

- I received kick back message “Undeliverable: Mail Delivery Failure” (Email link came from within the account, once signed in and click on “contact us.”)

[07-13-2023] I called and spoke with a rep at LawCrossing. Discussed all the details and he saw that the ad was cancelled and that a few reps were contacted. I requested that our profile be completely deleted from their system to ensure no additional charges go through AND requested to speak to a supervisor to assist with the refund of money.

- He removed our account and transferred me to the manager’s voicemail where I left a message.

[07-18-2023] I Sent Email to LawCrossing contact us email and email address from original billing receipt (from January) and Email stated:

“I have spoken to three representatives and left a message with the manager’s voicemail. Our account continues to be charged for when I have cancelled this account several times. I have been erroneously charged $399.00 on March, April, and May 19th. In January we had a posting which was cancelled incorrectly in February. I spoke with a rep in February to make sure it was cancelled correctly and that we wouldn’t continue to be charged. Last month (June) I was contacted by a rep who saw a posting for a paralegal position on another site and wanted to see if we had interest in posting to LawCrossing. I informed them that we typically only use LawCrossing for attorney positions and this was for a paralegal and do not wish to post on the site. Upon further review, I found that our card had been charged three times without authorization. I tried sending an email to the email address per the online link, but this was kicked back to me as undeliverable. I called and spoke with a rep and requested to completely remove our profile as we will not use LawCrossing in the future. He transferred me to the manager’s voicemail to talk about getting the refund for the three months charged. I am CC’ing the contact email in case the link online had a typographical error. Please let me know who I need to contact to get $1,197.00 refunded and these issues resolved.”

> NO RESPONSE <

[07-23-2023] I followed up via email to the contacts on the 07-18-2023 email.

> NO RESPONSE <

Because of the repeat issues I’ve had on two separate occasions, and the zero rate of return (not a single applicant), I highly recommend that LawCrossing is NOT used by legal professionals.

Desired outcome: Seeking a refund of $1,197.00 for 3 months charged in error.I want to resolve issues amicably before disputing to credit card and report to BBB.Would be nice if they fixed their cancellation process and customer service issues.
