Mixed Experiences with Vestiaire Collective
After reading various reviews about Vestiaire Collective, it's clear that the platform has its ups and downs. While some customers praise the ease of selling and buying items, others express frustration with lost parcels, high fees, and unresponsive customer service. It seems like authenticity and quality control issues are also a concern for some users. If you decide to use Vestiaire Collective, it's advisable to proceed with caution and be aware of the potential challenges you might encounter.
Vestiaire doesn’t follow their policy
Its not first time im having trouble with them, but first time they admitted they did a mistake by not following their own terms.
I sold my Goyard wallet to someone by direct shipping and after some time there came a claiming that the item might not be authentic, it obviously were with all tags and box and labels, they somehow returned it to their hub for authenticity check and there’s when it started..its almost a month when the item was sent. everytime i start a pathetic chat with customer care there’s a different story, i’ve received maybe 3 different tracking numbers for my parcel being returned. but their policy clearly says that if its authentic,it’s being relisted on buyer account and the payment is processed to seller. so i was asking constantly about that and after 3weeks they just said this… so unprofessional.
Recommendation: Lets try to support different reselling company guys.
First time customer/awesome
I don't know why this company has so many bad reviews, i'm a first time customer and I purchase a Dolce & Gabbana bag and a wallet from Different sellers, my items had to go through authentication before they got sent to me, The bag no problem It went through authentication just fine and it is amazing and beautiful as you can see, with the wallet I received an email stating that the measurements of the wallet where off, so they gave me an option to accept or cancel, so I went and cancel and I got a full refund the next day to my PayPal account, if it wasn't for their authentication I could have received a fake item I am so glad I did not, so this company is awesome as a first time buyer I am so pleased with this Purchase as you can see it's beautiful, I do recommend vestiaire collective to everyone

I'm Happy I Took A Chance
I was very concerned about purchasing from this site with all the negative reviews that I have seen but I am very happy I took a chance. I was able to purchase a beautiful vintage Gucci bag that was in pristine condition and looked exactly as pictured. The bag was shipped from France and I received it quicker than I anticipated - one week! And this was during the Christmas holidays. Only thing I wish is that the bag was stuffed so it could maintain its shape. It seems that there are a lot of sellers abroad on this site and it also seems like it may be difficult to return the bag if there is an issue - so I would recommend that you really study the pictures and research the item before you decide to make the purchase - it may be a hassle after the fact. But I would purchase again after doing my due diligence.
Fabulous!
I can't say enough good things about their customer service. They've gone above and beyond for me! You have to take into consideration the time difference - but I have nothing but love for this site. I went from zero, none, nada zip Christian Louboutin's and the thought that I'll never be able to afford a pair - to being the proud owner of 7 pairs! Hahaha. It is worth it to get their membership - but remember that you're paying for it. And be sure to order things that would normally have a lot of import fees and such. It can pay for itself - and being able to get a jump on some new items... priceless! I love the ladies there... they really are wonderful. Some things sell for incredible amounts of money - so they deal with high dollar customers all the time. My $200 shoes are just a small drop in the bucket - but they made me feel like I was worth a million dollars. Great site.
Best prices paid to seller, best fashion deals for buyers
I have been a reseller on VC since 2016, ranked 4000 of 23 million. I get a higher price per item than I would on any other seller platform. I get paid fast, direct to bank. VC responds to any issues quickly. VC has direct shipping and authenticity available. VC buyers are very fashion savvy and care about the planet, devoted to circular fashion. They know what they want and commit to sale. VC is a Certified B Corp. I allow buyers to haggle with me up to 30% and no lower, which weeds out low ball offers who might distract from time and energy answering noncommitted buyers. VC has a large strong member base that are active and feel a part of a community. New Tradesy members will only enhance the experience with new eyes and new ideas. VC does not rely on members to police themselves but is a careful watchdog to make sure people adhere to terms of service which protects everyone. When I do buy I get a great deal on the clothing or bag that amazes me, when I get the package I get excited to open it. VC has high standards, no junk or unsaleable items to clutter the platform. VC only allows refunds if something very wrong such as condition not exact or flaw with item sent so make sure you want it or resell.
First time buying from Vestiaire Collective
- I bought a Louis Vuitton pouch which is brand new. The price was not at the end cheaper but exactly the same price if I would buy from the store, because of many charges at the checkout.
The item is in excellent condition with receipt, authentication certificate and everything.
- It arrived earlier than the date they gave me, which is amazing.
The only issue was that even if I paid on checkout all the import taxes and duties for Switzerland, the Post office asked me to pay on top another 90 CHF. Then I contact the Help Center, they checked for me and then they refund the amount that I paid to the post office. The money reflected in my account within 24 hours. So Help Center was really proactive in my case and helpful. Although they sent me a link which says that I have to pay taxes and duties at checkout and then if the item arrives and the country is charging more I have to pay again. That doesn't make sense at all. Why to pay 2 times? Either you cover it or not!
Overall, I had a great experience for first time. I don't know how is about the used items, but what I would only change is that they need to guarantee to the customers the cover of all the taxes and duties expenses. Because the only reason I ordered from them is because of that. I order only from online stores that cover those expenses, so I will not be surprised when my order arrives.
Satisfied first-time user
I am based in Australia and recently bought an expensive vintage watch from a private seller in England through Vestiaire Collective. Having read many reviews, I was very apprehensive about the company but I am pleased to say I am impressed with how the transaction was handled. The seller was very helpful, keeping me updated throughout the process until the item left VC in France. I also made sure to keep in touch with VC that everything that the seller included in the original package was included as I had read about some bad experiences people had had previously with missing packaging, documents etc. Every time I got in touch with VC, I received a response to my question within 48 hours and a survey subsequently asking for feedback on their customer service; perhaps a sign they are reading some of the negative reviews on websites like this and trying to do better... It did take about 7 weeks from purchase to receipt of the item, however most of this was due to the logistics companies making errors. I was also concerned who would be responsible if the watch was lost during transit and found no answer on the site; upon asking VC however, I was told they have insurance policies in place to cover this, just in case anyone else was wondering! It may be that my queries were prioritised due to the high value of my purchase; however I found VC to have acted and communicated consistently throughout the somewhat long process and would buy through them again.
Vestiaire does best jobs out of all online selling platform
Here is true statement of my experience.
I only started selling recently, so far I sold 40 items of high quality designer pieces.
Customer expectation of prices is sometimes distorted. Dior items like dresses I sell ?330-?650
Many customers want 30 % discount on average? Do they know many of this items retail price was over ?1000+?
As per Vestiaire they are accurate, prompt in paying and they do respond to e-mails.
They Experts are truly experts, I know all my items are 100 % genuine, but if they do not get clear picture of the item from me, they wont let me upload it. That is fair. As they do not want "fake" items.
Size of the business is soo huge, you are going to wait 3-4 days for e-mail reply, but it will be sorted. That is reasonable to expect.
You just need to google reviews of Vestiaire competitors and you will see what is truly bad service.
While other companies are "willing to take your item, do all the work + sell your items for peanuts".
You wont be happy as seller.
Item needs to have fair, decent price. If designer- wear is too low it will devalue the brand.
For those who can not afford it, try M&S or similar. Don't expect it for practically nothing.
Sellers have to pay around 15% - ?20 % out of sold goods to Vestiaire.
If goods do not comply with description, Vestiaire protects buyers.
It offers return and help to re-sell it on the platform if someone doesn't like the fit of the garment.
If item is not as described, buyer wont loose their money, Vestiaire steps in to help.
I enjoy shopping the V Collective
So far so good... it is a little bit on the expensive side when you add in the per item shipping costs with the per item inspection fee. But, if you become a monthly member then you can make one order full of items, you would have free shipping on all of the items no matter how many you have! Awesome!
And that is how I do it. If you are willing to search, chat, make deals and have some patience to wait until the beginning of that new month for your free shipping then you can get your hot little hands on some of the most amazing most beautiful items that you just could Never get in your region or country.
So, I am a YES., I do enjoy shopping at Vestiaire Collective. I shop all month and then make a decent sized order once a month to not lose my monthly free ship.
I would like to say that 2-3 of my ZadigVoltaire items have been flagged by the Collective upon inspection for what they felt was damaged but... was really supposed to be there. (a little edginess comes with the brand) Last inspection was a metal necklace flagged as rip fabric.? What? There is no fabric, is was all metal and rhinestones, I accepted anyway because I have already bought with this seller previously so..., received it and it was just as the seller described perfect unworn necklace. Some advice,... be careful with your inspection reports and try to take them with a grain of salt. You may know your brand better than your "inspector", lol.
FYI... many more benefits to monthly membership than just the free ship by the way... go check it out., you might just get hooked too!
Awesome Froggies Everybody...
AMAZING
I had read all the reviews online and proceeded with caution - eventually found my dream back and hesitated before purchasing but at an 1/8th at the cost it was in all honesty a no loose situation. Now ill mention that as most second hand or online market places Vestiaire do not like buyers and sellers discussing "other payment options" my personal opinions on this are irrelevant as i had read and agreed to their rules prior to signing up - however the language barrier between Vestiaries employees, sellers and buyers alike and despite their best efforts to provide universal translations sometimes the most benign discussions can seem like your up to something. Anyhoo I had made my purchase and then could not contact the vendor. I died a little - mostly because at that stage I had not told my partner about the new addition to the family and wasn't prepared to admit i may have been scammed. That been said i ( while aging 10 years every 5 minutes) got onto Vestiaire's customer support chat and the issue was solved in minutes- with my heart rate back to normal I waited for my delivery. My bag arrived on time and better than expected! I cant speak highly enough of the site but as with all marketplaces you have to be aware. Their fees are high and being in Australia we don't pay "tax" on luxury items - however Vestiaire will refund this back to you once received. They have "control and authentication " fees aswell but if you have proof of purchase these fees are significantly less. As for selling with them- their client base is world wide. It means more chance of selling very quickly- however their cut is quite substantial. Also for the byers protection if the item is not posted within 7 days the buyer gets an automatic refund (and rightly so)
Scam!!!
I have sold a jean paul gaultier watch on 10 march and sent it on 11 march. Vestiaire received it on 15 march but it’s now 21 march and im still waiting for payment. Ive sent them 500+ messages and emails across all platforms yet only receive automated replies. I have asked to speak to a manager but NEVER got a call at all. I’m still out of pocket now! Has anything like this happened to anyone pls? What do I do? I have contacted citizens advise on this who advised me to send an official complaint letter to vestiaire which I have already done. Im considering legal actions now.
Recommendation: AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Consumer Rights Act 2015
On 10 March 2024, I sold my Jean Paul Gaultier watch Ref #[protected] on your platform for £218.50 with an earning of £211.95. I shipped it on March 11 and was delivered to your warehouse on 15 March. According to your policy and the information provided on the sales records, the payment should have been issued within 2 working days. However, 6 days after and I’m still waiting for my payment. I have been in contact with Customer Support and sent approximately 500+ messages and emails only to be replied with automated messages. I have requested for a call from a manager a hundred times over however to no avail. This has put me in too much emotional distress and this does qualify as theft and abuse on your end.
According to the law named above, I am entitled to have my payment by the date we agreed.
I would like you to:
1. Ring me at my mobile number provided
2. Issue me my payment of £211.95 from the sale
3. And a £100 compensation for the distress this has caused me
If you fail to meet the above, I will have no option but to consider taking the matter further.
Neglecting buyer and customer rights
"I unequivocally do not endorse this company, neither as a buyer nor as a customer. The neglect of consumer rights is evident. To provide insight into my experience and the company's disregard for its buyers and customers, I am sharing a segment of my ongoing correspondence with their customer support.
"Thank you for your response. I appreciate the opportunity to communicate with you, although I'm uncertain if my concerns were fully understood.
Primarily, I seek clarification regarding the discrepancies found in my item. The decision to not approve it suggests a potential accusation of selling counterfeit goods. Hence, I kindly request detailed photographs of my item alongside the original, accompanied by an explanation of the discrepancies identified.
Furthermore, I would like to address another inquiry that has been overlooked. I am curious as to how an item of the same model but in a different color, which I recently sold, passed the inspection without requesting an invoice from me. This raises concerns regarding the consistency and integrity of Vestiare's authentication process.
Should my requests go unaddressed once more, and I am not provided with a signed confirmation of the authenticity concerns raised against my item, I must insist on the reimbursement of my item. Failing to do so would be an unlawful action to retain possession of it.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
P.S. Please find attached a copy of the invoice for your reference."
This is the answer -
"I am sending this email on behalf of my colleague and I will be assisting you regarding on this concern.
I am sorry to say that our experts confirmed that they are unable to provide some pictures of why your item did not met the brand criteria.
In order to return your item to you, we request that you pay a fee for processing and re-shipment costs.
Please transfer the fee using the details below, ensuring that the transfer description includes your item reference number and your full name as indicated on your Vestiaire Collective account."
After numerous attempts, consisting of a multitude of emails, to obtain authentication from the purported 'expert team,' I have not only been consistently ignored but have now been compelled to retrieve my authentic item. The reliability and credibility of this company in any capacity are consequently called into question.
Recommendation: "Consider reallocating your resources and seeking collaboration with another company. Your time is valuable and would be better invested elsewhere."
Untrained, unprofessional, inconsistent customer service
Sale was made, buyer did not collect the item , eventually item was send back to me, courier invoiced me , Vestiaire is refusing to refund the money that I have paid for undeliverable shipment. The same situation happened back in November , but back then Vestiaire reimbursed me for undeliverable item return shipment, but in January they refuse to do it. How come they apply one rule in November and a totally different now.
Recommendation: Be aware that customer service is very bad trained , hard to resolve , and inconsistent
SOLD AN ITEM CASE REF 7794273
I sold some gold earrings privately ,(i was abroad at a time and did not use vestiaire label as i thought it might not work) .On the 12 october 2023 vestiaire have the proof that the customer received it(customer even contacted me on the vestiaire platform to comment something about the earrings )since then i sent many emails they did not pay any attention saying that in 48 hours they would resolve the issue! until now there s no payment and no earrings ! what a shame for a big french company!
Recommendation: DO NOT USE LE VESTIAIRE COLLECTIVE ! RISK OF LOSING YOUR MONEY
Do not use Vestiaire it is a disgrace for a co.pany
Bad Customer Service, Awful Platform with bad algorithms, untrained employees completely unreliable.
AWFUL customer service, TERRIBLE platform
Awful customer service, no control of listings descriptions. Awful platform. I will never buy there again. - I would like to add that I usually don’t write bad reviews but I would like to express my dissatisfaction with Vestiaire as a brand new buyer. I tried the platform first as a buyer to see how well their customer service and platform was. In my mind if the orders went well I would consider them to sell hundreds of designer articles that I have in my closet ( many new) Thank god that I didn’t do it because the experience I had with my purchase was one of the worst experiences ever. Their customer service did not care about the issue nor tried to understand it. And they simply ignored my requests. If you choose to authenticate an item using their methods beware because even if the item is authentic and the description of the item is accurate if they choose they will cancel the order for any other reason other than been authentic (which is the whole purpose to send to authenticate). In my case I bought a designer item that was sold but sold out in Farfetch and is currently in their website. I found it in Vestiaire. The description was accurate by the seller, the item was validated as authentic yet my purchase was never received and sent back to the seller who was also in shock of the whole situation as to why it happened( the seller got a strike for the return for no reason since the seller had the correct description and the item was authentic) so BEWARE SELLERS ! This could happen to you ( I feel bad for the seller since I am a witness that she did everything right. Therefore the authentification is not for the customer’s peace of mind at all, it served as an extra layer for them to decide for both the seller and the customer based in their wrong algorithms and bad information. They have several of the same items that I purchased listed still in their site ( I wonder if the people who’ll buy these items will go through the nightmare that both the seller and I went through trying to get someone to understand what was happening). If Vestaire’s processes or algorithms are wrong, uff! good luck trying to get a person there to fix it. It is impossible. They will not examine individual cases even if is their own platform’s (algorithm)fault or issues. BEWARE SELLERS AND BUYERS. This is not a company that has the capacity to deal with listings. They overlook listings and customer service won’t study individual cases to see where the problem was. This is a big RED FLAG when you have algorithms that are wrong and you don’t have competent customer service to actually look at the problems. They will only use standardized messages like the one below to act like they care but they don’t. I am surprised that this company functions and I am in shock that they still have sellers. BEWARE OF THIS PLATFORM. I am erasing my account today! I should’ve looked at their horrible ratings before giving them a try. BEWARE!
Date of experience: September 24, 2023
Recommendation: BEWARE DYSFUNCTIONAL COMPANY WITH BAD PLATFORM AND ALGORITHMS BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE- BAD COMPANY PRACTICES- BEWARE BUYERS AND SELLERS
Hideous company i sold an item 3 weeks ago and didnt receive my money! They must be procecuted!
Terrible experience!!!
I bought two jackets from Brunello Cucinelli, one on June 18th and another on June 19th. The one I bought on June 18th was successfully delivered, but the one from June 19th has not been shipped even until the end of June. On June 25th, it showed as shipped, but it actually wasn't! I contacted your customer service, and you said it was shipped on June 27th, but it still hasn't arrived. I almost forgot about this jacket.
However, that's not the main issue. The main issue is that this morning, I suddenly discovered that the jacket I bought is now listed for sale again! And apparently, it's listed for sale by me? Before I even had a chance to open the app, within 2 minutes, it showed that it had been sold?! I immediately went into the app to see how to cancel, but the website didn't allow me to cancel. It said it had already been shipped to the customer? How is it possible to do all of this in just 5 minutes?
Furthermore, I didn't confirm this sale. Who confirmed it?
Vestiaire is the worst company, they are making unethical money!!!
Untrustworthy and Unreliable: My Disappointing Experiences with Vestiaire Collective
I recently had a couple of experiences with Vestiaire Collective, and unfortunately, they were not positive. I purchased a Prada shirt from their website, but when it arrived, it did not have the Prada label. I was disappointed and decided to return it. A few days later, I checked the website, and to my surprise, the same Prada shirt I had returned was back on the site, but this time, it had the Prada label on it. This made me question the authenticity of their products, and I was left feeling unsure about the trustworthiness of the company.
Another time, I bought a Vivienne Westwood bag from Vestiaire Collective. The photo of the defect was not clear, and the brief description minimized the damage. When the bag arrived, it was poorly packaged and folded up, which made me worry about its shape. I discovered that the imperfection was not minor but major, and the tear in the bag was noticeable. I called them to return it, but they refused, saying that the seller had indicated the defect and taken photos of it, and that I should have examined it closely. I was frustrated because even if I magnified the photo, I wouldn't have seen the magnitude of the defect. This experience left me feeling like they were not on the buyer's side, and I was disappointed that they didn't take the product back.
Trying to return a product you are not happy with is a huge problem with this company. Once you order it, you don't have the option to return it unless you can prove that the mistake was made by the company. If you want to return it because you are unhappy with the product, it's too bad, and you're stuck with it.
Once you order and pay for the product, it takes forever to receive it, even if the amount has already been deducted from your credit card. One of the items I purchased was an AMQ bag, and it took more than a month before I received it. I followed up with the seller and Vestiaire Collective, but I received no reply from the seller, and Vestiaire Collective was useless in getting the seller to send it to me. Finally, out of frustration, I told Vestiaire Collective that I no longer wanted the AMQ bag. I was told I couldn't cancel my order because it was already processed. However, if after 30 days, the merchandise had not yet been sent, Vestiaire Collective would cancel the order and give me a refund. I was left wondering why it took so long and the possibility of a loss of sale before anything was done.
There are a lot of second-hand online stores popping up that sell luxury high-end items. They provide way better service, easy customer returns, more reasonable pricing, and honor the merchandise they sell. In fact, I've been buying from one, and I am quite happy with their prices and service.
Overall, I will not be buying anything from Vestiaire Collective again. If you are considering buying an item from this store, take note that they are on the seller's side, not the buyer, and returns are close to impossible. I was scandalized when I saw the Prada shirt I bought and returned because the label was missing back on the website, this time with the label. The first thing that came to mind when I saw it was "that's authentication for you." It made me question the authenticity of their products and left me feeling like they were not trustworthy.
Buyer Beware: My Nightmare Experience Selling on Vestiaire Collective
I've been using Vestiaire Collective for about six months now and I have to say, my experience as a buyer has been pretty smooth sailing. However, my recent experience as a seller has left me feeling completely gutted both emotionally and financially. Earlier this year, I purchased an expensive bag through Vestiaire that turned out to be much larger than what I had anticipated from the listing description. Naturally, I wanted to return the item but Vestiaire refused to accept it. They did offer me the opportunity to list the bag for resale, which I decided to do. The bag sold relatively quickly and I was responsible for returning it to Vestiaire within a month so that it could be checked before being sent to the new buyer. To ensure that the bag was returned as quickly as possible, I spent almost $100AUD on express post international shipping from Australia. The parcel arrived in Paris within days but I was dismayed to see from the tracking information that it sat in customs for weeks and there were multiple "attempted deliveries" but the parcel appeared to be undelivered back to Vestiaire.
I was in almost daily communication with the customer support folks, notably Anna, about why Vestiaire had failed to take delivery of the bag. She constantly reassured me that their "logistics team" was seeking to locate the parcel and that all would be well. I sent almost daily emails for a month trying to understand why the parcel was not being delivered and reconcile the tracking information with what Anna was telling me. Eventually, the month was up, so not only was the resale for the bag cancelled, but I had effectively lost the return express shipping costs. In utter desperation, I contacted Australia Post to open an investigation to find out why this parcel had not been delivered. After all of this time and all of the emails back and forth between myself and Anna, I then discovered that Vestiaire had REFUSED TO TAKE DELIVERY of the returned item as there were customs duties owing on the bag. This meant that the sale was lost to me and the huge return shipping cost was lost to me as well. They never provided me with that information or offered me the opportunity to pay those taxes to expedite the sale. Week in and week out, whilst encouraging me to be patient, they continually and BLATANTLY LIED TO ME, even with my increasingly desperate pleas for clear and precise information as to what was happening.
The situation now is that the parcel is still "on board with the driver" and remains undelivered. Never once did Vestiaire or Anna advise me of the true nature of why that parcel was not delivered or offer any kind of apology for what has occurred. They are now totally unresponsive to my emails, and requests to be able to speak to her superior have fallen on deaf ears. The actions of this company when clearly there was a problem that they needed to resolve has been breathtaking and without any kind of professional ethics. As an Australian citizen, I have no rights as the parcel falls under French shipping jurisdiction. All the time, money, and emotional energy I have spent on trying to do the right thing to resolve this unsatisfactory situation is now most likely lost to me.
I am writing this review in the hope to caution others to be a little careful in their dealings with this company, but also in the hope that it may prompt some kind of action from Vestiaire itself to see this issue resolved. Overall, I would say that my experience with Vestiaire Collective has been a mixed bag. While my experience as a buyer has been positive, my experience as a seller has been nothing short of a nightmare. I would advise anyone considering using this platform to proceed with caution and be aware of the potential risks involved.
Poor Delivery and Customer Service Experience with Vestiaire Collective
I recently sold an item on Vestiaire Collective and had a less than satisfactory experience with their delivery and customer service. I shipped the item promptly on November 1st, the same day the buyer informed me that she needed it for an event. I dropped it off at the designated location and received a receipt, but was surprised to see that there was no update on the tracking information after two days. When I contacted VC, they were unhelpful and dismissive, telling me to simply wait for the package to arrive.
A week later, there was still no update on the tracking information and I was growing increasingly concerned. When I contacted customer service again, I was met with auto-replies and unhelpful responses. It seemed that they were not interested in resolving the issue and were simply trying to fob me off.
To make matters worse, their system for reporting lost items requires an official ID, which I do not have. Despite having evidence that I shipped the item, it was difficult to get them to open an investigation and they seemed more interested in making me go away than resolving the issue.
Their chat system was also a waste of time, with auto-replies and unhelpful responses. It seemed that they were more interested in saving money by outsourcing their customer service to a low-wage country than providing quality service to their customers.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Vestiaire Collective and would not recommend them to others. They need to improve their delivery and customer service if they want to retain customers and build a positive reputation in the industry.

Read full review of Vestiaire CollectiveExpert authentication
I sold a Wittnauer Watch on VC in January 2024. Before going to the customer it was sent to the New York hub for authentication. This was a brand new with tags still attached lady's wrist watch. The so called expert, said the watch was missing a " unidentified" piece on the front of the crystal. The customer cancelled the order. Expert was wrong. Anyone ever owned a watch knows there's no piece on top around the crystal on any watch, made anywhere. Lost the sale. It took almost 3 months for them to return it to me and when I received it the case back was missing. As was the new battery, whatever. Now it truly has a missing piece because of them and it is now worthless. They refuse to pay for it. They lost it and they said, oh well so sorry.
Claimed loss: 120.00
Desired outcome: Pay me for the watch or find the missing case back.

You need to go after Vestiaire Collective with full force. Contact their customer service and demand compensation for the damage they caused. Make it clear that their so-called expert was wrong and that they mishandled your property. Insist they either pay for the full value of the watch or replace it.
Document every interaction and escalate the issue until you get a resolution. If they continue to brush you off, consider legal action. They need to understand that you won't accept their negligence and that you will fight until you get what you're owed. Don't let them get away with this — stand your ground and make sure they make it right.

Update — vestiaire collective - a company that lacks integrity and responsiveness - buyer beware
Original Post -->
10/6/21
BUYER BEWARE! This company is non-responsive to customer concerns and lacks integrity. I was a first time buyer with them who purchased a pair of Chanel earrings on 9/7/21. I had received discounts totaling $99.99 (a 12% cash back RetailMeNot cash back offer ($50), $30 off $300 promo, and $19.99 ship fee waiver (suppose to be processed as refund bc you can't use 2 codes at once). VC agreed to refund me the ship fee because 1. They attempted to charge me a customs fee for a seller in my same country (US) and 2. Because I was unable to use USWELCOME50 for $50 off first purchase due to problem with their app. The VC "Expert Team" WRONGLY CLAIMED THE EARRINGS INAUTHENTIC AND CANCELED THE ORDER, IGNORING BOTH MY REQUEST AND SELLER'S REQUEST FOR 3RD PARTY AUTHENTICATION. Both the seller and I knew the earrings were authentic. VC FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGED THEY HAD MADE A WRONG ASSESSMENT BUT REFUSE TO REINSTATE THE SALE OR PROVIDE A VOUCHER TO COVER THE FINANCIAL LOSS ($99.99 + $28.50 auth fee). The seller lost her Expert Status over their wrong assessment and then finally her status was reinstated and the earrings reposted. I am still trying to purchase these same earrings, but I am insisting that they honor a voucher for $128.49 (the financial loss of $99.99 and the charge for the Auth Fee). The auth fee should be credited because they made an incorrect assessment and wrongly canceled the order. I should not be paying for an incorrect assessment and all this trouble. To date, I am still trying to get them to right their wrong here and provide the $128.49 voucher. The RetailMeNot cash back offer is no longer effective. They are dishonest and claim they provided a refund of the ship fee, but they did not. They merely canceled the order. Now, I am unable to buy the earrings at the cost I had due to their error. The best I got from them is excess stress and a $30 promo. Their rep, Morgane, claimed she was providing an $80 voucher but she was dishonest because I discovered it to be for only $30. Even if they actually provided an $80 voucher, it would not cover the financial loss and stress. I just wanted everyone to know that these individuals at US Vestiaire Collective are NOT expert Chanel authenticators. They are wholeheartedly incompetent. They cause more trouble than anything else! I am considering filing a law suit for the exorbitant amount of time lost addressing this, the money lost and the stress and trouble they have caused. As of writing this review, I was just informed by the seller on IG, that the earrings have sold so I won't be able to buy them. PS. If anyone wants me to forward the back and forth emails I have with VC, please include your email and I will forward it to you as proof. Thanks and God Bless.
***UPDATE***VESTIAIRE COLLECTIVE - A COMPANY THAT LACKS INTEGRITY & RESPONSIVENESS - BUYER BEWARE
10/9/21
? Updated review
To date, I am still trying to get them to right their wrong here. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN JUST ANY PAIR OF EARRINGS. I WANT THE EARRINGS I PAID FOR, WHICH ARE A RARE FIND FROM A PRIOR COLLECTION. THE FINANCIAL LOSS AND STRESS THEY CAUSED ME IS VALUED FAR MORE THAN THE VALUE OF THE EARRINGS. The RetailMeNot cash back offer is no longer effective. They are dishonest and claim they provided a refund of the ship fee, but they did not. They merely canceled the order. I informed VC repeatedly that I would repurchase the earrings but I needed the voucher from them to not pay more than I paid on the original purchase. While in reconciliation process and waiting far too long for responses, they posted my earrings for sale and sold them to someone else. I insisted that VC reinstate my order AND inform the buyer that THESE earrings were already purchased. VC currently has the earrings, and has not mailed them out to the buyer. I HAVE INFORMED VC THAT THEY MUST CANCEL THAT ORDER AND SEND ME MY EARRINGS. THIS IS ALL DUE TO THEIR ERROR. This is the only resolution I see short of a lawsuit. Their business practices are highly suspect. Several other reviewers have stated that VC is wrongly canceling their orders also. Sellers are not receiving back their goods.
I read another 1 star review by a seller who stated that the buyer had claimed there was no Hermes bag in the box received, and VC simply stated that it wasn't suppose to go to the buyer and was being investigated. AN HERMES BAG. SERIOUSLY? AFTER READING THROUGH THE 1 STAR REVIEWS, I WONDER IF VC IS KEEPING ITEMS FOR THEIR OWN PERSONAL REASONS/GAIN? IF THIS IS NOT THE CASE, THEN PLEASE BUYERS BEWARE: AT BEST, VC DOES NOT HAVE EXPERT CHANEL AUTHENTICATORS and THEY DO NOT HAVE THE EXPERTISE TO DIFFERENTIATE WHAT IS FAKE FROM WHAT IS REAL. THEY CAUSE MORE TROUBLE THAN ANYTHING ELSE.

I sent an item on a prepaid delivery note with Royal Mail tracking number XF838638633GB, usually as soon as the item is sent it’s updated as shipped on the sale made but on this occasion it didn’t show as shipped. I contacted customer service online and they asked me to check back in 48 hours in the mean time on 9th February the item showed as delivered to Vestiare at the Uk site in Crawley but still nothing updated. Since I have been in contact with customer service and they are not providing an update, I am very concerned as I sent this item that I’m expecting £290 for but on the system it shows as I haven’t shipped and it states if not shipped by the 13th the order will be cancelled. Vestiare are not processing any explanation and now have said I didn’t send on the prepaid shipping note provided and that’s why it’s taking a while to update. However that is not the case I have provided a receipt to show I used their prepaid shipping note.
Desired outcome: I would like my money of £290 for the item I sold or my item back.

I sold a dolce & gabbana dress through vestiaire, it got to their warehouse, and they denied it because of a tiny pulled thread, they asked if I wanted the dress to stay in their warehouse, and I agreed, they didn't reelist my item on my page so it was still labeled as sold. I requested from one of their "customer service" agents to send me back my dress, they inform me that it would have shipped in 7 days and all was well. Until I receive an email now that says that my package has been lost, and that I need to provide written statements from my neighbors and family members, as well as ID and an invoice (they never sent me one) absolutely pathetic and unbelievable.
Claimed loss: 500£
Desired outcome: full cost of dress, no percentage goes to the company.

I ordered a product, Received a product with flaws, they decided not to refund me when I send it back, instead they have listed the product under my name.
I want my full refund, I have already sent the pictures before I sent the product back snd they have advised me to send it.
1- the sold me a product with false advertising and wrong pictures.
2- they advised to send send it back so they would make sure themselves
3- instead of a refund, they have listed the product under my name, without my knowledge, and even with a much less price than I spent on
I WANT A FULL REFUND

I have not been paid for my bag
I sent out my Dolce and Gabbana bag on the 3rd January. It was collected on the 8th and I was told I would be paid on the 12th. I have tried contacting customer service via chat and email and am being fobbed of with generic messages. I am owed money and Vestiaire is behaving in a despicable way. Intermittent customer service, no ubdate, appalling. I will not go away only take legal action and report to the authorities.
Claimed loss: £102.66p
Desired outcome: My money!! I don't expect an apology from the attitude I have received so far.

Hi has this been resolved pls? Im in the same situation i sold a watch ehich was received at their hub 7 days ago but theyre not releasing the payment!
Yes, I was paid but no explanation whatsoever nor contact from buyer. I have no idea if the buyer was a scammer and they covered the payment, if the bag was ever received. Nothing. However at least I was paid after 2 weeks.
Undeliverable item return shipment charges
Item number [protected], courier company UPS , several delivery attempts , buyer did not collect the item , item was send back to me, UPS invoiced me for undeliverable item, Vestiaire is refusing to reimburse me for returned shipment.
As a seller I have fulfilled my contractual obligations, item was dispatched within specified period of time, prepaid label provided by Vestiaire collective was used , and somehow they made me responsible for the buyer wrongdoing. This is unacceptable , as a seller I feel unprotected .
Customer service is untrained, unprofessional and inconsistent if resolving the issues. Exactly the same issue was back in November, but with a different item, and back then they refunded the return shipment cost. But now they are saying that they do not have such option. Show on you Vestiarie Collective , t provide a proper training to your staff and stop abusing your sellers
Claimed loss: 21 euro

Non refund of import duties
I live in Northern Ireland which after Brexit is still in the single EU market for free trade of goods within the EU. This is just one complaint. I hate many. They have issues with being honest. They have added a "buyer's service fee" that they claim to go to the seller. So far I've received 0.00. on 12 sales since the new charges. Not to mention that they state in the guidelines 10% fee.then in the next paragraph it's 12 plus 3 dollars on 100. They also hold the money for 3 days for customer evaluation but don't offer a way to let customers accept delivery earlier. Then, mostly after 3 or 4 days they process the payment and send it to us in about 6 days. Why do we have to wait for evaluation? Returns are not accepted for private sellers? Why do they get to just pay when they feel like it?
Desired outcome: Try being honest.

Seller services - Item #24650919
I listed a ring on Vestiaire for sale. This was a gift from my parents 20 years ago. The ring was listed as size 51. On receipt, the buyer requested to cancel the sale, as he was expecting the ring to be size 52. Unfortunately, he did not read the listing properly as the size was clearly stated in the 'details' section of the listing. Despite thi...
Read full review of Vestiaire CollectiveTrying to get a refund for a product not delivered
We sent swimsuit to buyer late September. Parcel no.[protected]. The buyer did not pick up the item and Vestiaire told me they would send back the product to me. They then refunded the buyer. I did not receive the item. When they gave me a tracking number to track the product return (XJ325466026J) - the tracking site stated "not recognised". When I emailed Vestiaire (4 times!) they responded (likely AI) and sent me a Chronopost form to complete. I response stating I could sign the"non-receipt" part of the form but I could not complete the name, email address and tel of the original buyer as the App does not allow me to go back more than 1 month.
I stated this in 2 response emails and just got the same standard response attaching the Chronopost form. I tried to call customer service number (US number) and was just told by recording, to write an email. More than 2 months and I have received neither product or refund. Not sure what to do now.
Desired outcome: A refund or the item returned
Selling
Vestiaire Collective cancelled my sale stating that item was counterfeit. When I asked for any proof they only provided report from random person in their warehouse. They also asked my to prior the get my item back I have to pay them £15 for nothing. They provided bank details but when I was trying to pay them?! Both of my banks couldn’t verify bank details provided which looks like a scam. I reached the customer service to ask for correct bank details as I want to get my item back. Now they are silent, they don’t won’t to return my item and completely ignoring me. They changed their T&C when’re they included £15 charge for cancelled sales and haven’t notified users about changes so I didn’t even have a chance to agree or disagree to changes. I feel robbed by them. It’s unacceptable and I want my item or money back. Please help.
Claimed loss: £250
Desired outcome: £250 or my item

I put a dress for sale on Vestiaire and a lady called Vic bought the dress paying 171.43 on 12 November.
Since then I have sent many messages but they refuse to pay this money to me. They say I never shipped it but I have proof of delivery AND confirmation from the buyer that they paid when they ordered it.
I feel like I have been subject to fraud as they now have removed my dress from the website saying the sale is cancelled .

Desired outcome: Just pay the money that the buyer sent to them
Do not trust this Vestiaire as they keep your money from the sale
