I just bought a UTILITECH Lighted LED Door Bell Button - Wired #0163350. I chose the LED version because our doorbell light keeps burning out, so a LED will last longer. Granted it costs between 2-2.5 times more than a conventional one but I was willing to spend a little more to have it last longer. With as much as this doorbell cost, it LACKED a diode! And the thing is, NO where on the package outside does it say "Diode Not Included." It wasn't until I bought it and opened it, that the instruction inside said, Diode maybe required for this product to work properly. WHAT? How can you make a doorbell WITHOUT a diode?! A diode is what makes a doorbell work! A regular lighted doorbell, the one that cost a lot less, had a diode! And this one that's much more expensive, didn't? How can you be a company who makes doorbells not include the needed diodes in your products? This is just POOR product development.
